Harrow's experience on thr Mithraem resonates with me because it felt a lot like the burnout i have felt over and over in my life as i bit off more than I could chew and choked on my own hubris.

Fortunately i've never had the Saint of Duty break into my bedroom and stab me with a spear tho.

spotting a gifted and talented kid is so easy because first they seem a little stupid and say some really weird stuff and then 3 seconds later someone asks a question and they answer it in the utmost detail and gives the history of something then 2 seconds after someone says “oh that makes sense” they’re like wait i don’t even remember what i said

Why did they have to label us gifted kids? Why couldn’t it have just been like “those kids who are probably neurodivergent” or something? Then it wouldn’t have felt like a prize to be won. It would just be. It wouldn’t have been a competition between my very neuro typical sister and I.
