A - Admiration (what do they absolutely adore about you?)

Let’s be realistic, he probably loves everything about you

You’re probably his first of many (probably only ever) relationship and ofc he’s grateful someone he actually likes, likes him back

If we’re being more honest here he probably loves how you go along with his jet black wings act and whenever he mentions dark reunion

Like- he knows fr that he’s delusional but at least you go along with it because you know how much it means to him

Not to mention how often you put up with him and his delusions

I mean- not only do you do that but also reassure him when he’s feeling a bit self conscious

Ofc he’s gonna love you, but this is just one of many things that he adores

A - Attention (how much attention do they want in the relationship?)

Kaidou loves having your attention but it still leaves him flustered all the same

Kaidou is pretty starved for attention and affection so once he gets it he absolutely lives for it

But then again- this is Kaidou we’re talking about so he flusters and stutters whenever you shower him in attention

He gets all tense and awkward but the way he leans in to you or way his head is held high doesn’t go unnoticed by you

So, all this to say that he wants all the attention you can offer

He lives for it and it honestly makes him all giddy and flushed

Ofc if you ever stop he’ll try and get your attention again but he’ll end up just keeping it to yourself because he doesn’t wanna be a bother

What a cutie right?

B - Body (what is their favorite part of your body?)

Honestly Kaidou feels so guilty and perverted for liking your hands but especially your lap

(Ofc he likes ur looks but ima go into that later)

So he feels the worst guilt ever and feels like a pervert just because he likes your lap and your hands

Honestly he mostly ends up staring at you just whenever and wherever and most times he zones out and does it by default

So he’s so flushed and stuff when he’s accidentally staring at you and feels like he’s a weirdo

Especially if you ever catch him

He feels the worst and genuinely apologizes

Now, if you ever ask- which you don’t even have to cuz he makes his likeness for your lap so obvious

Once you first have him rest there he loves it

Ofc he’s too flustered to initiate but he loves it all the same

(He mostly cuddles you by grabbing your arm or leaning on your shoulder as a safe option)

Anyway, he loves how you look

I mean cmon, kaidou thought he’d never pull a baddie

(It’s always nerds that pull baddies so-)

But still, so ofc he’s gonna compliment you all the time

Not just cuz u look good but just overall

B - Boo! (do they scare people? How do they act when scaring you/people?)

He’s both the one scaring- and the one being scared lmao

Kaidou tries to be scary sometimes with you

Most times you’re the one probably doing the scaring since Kaidou is so jumpy and easily scared 😭

But when he does try and scare you you’re usually just 🧍‍♀️or if not and act scared then he feels so accomplished like- 😭

Ok so when he scares you if you’re the type to not be scared then it’s ok he’s used to it because of Saiki (no it’s not he’s crying himself to sleep)

But if you genuinely do get scared then he feels accomplished then genuinely apologizes for scaring you 😭

Now, it’s more likely that you’ll go to the school festival at the haunted house thing there and be scared

It was probs a dare from Nendou that’s taken a little way too seriously by Kaidou

He goes in with you because he swears he gonna protect you from dark reunion (he isn’t he’s actually scared shitless and wants someone to go with)

Once you go in he’s scared constantly and is screaming at the top of his lungs 😭

He swears he’s doing the protecting but if you say/do something that has to do with protecting him from dark reunion then he’s head over heels again and lets you

Although a bit bummed he wasn’t able to the way he wanted

B - Beauty (what do they admire about their s/o? what do they think is beautiful about them?)

Kaidou thinks you’re attractive all around

I mean it’s part of why he initially started liking you and ofc he thinks about it all the time

That doesn’t exactly mean that he’ll tell you directly

That’s too bold for him and if you were to ever try to poke at him for answers- let’s just say you’ll have to be dealing with someone on the verge of exploding

He’s flushed from head to toe, stuttering and most times he’ll close himself off from you whenever you bring up him liking how you look.

Now, Kaidou absolutely admires you for having qualities that he doesn’t have

You’re confident, you can actually protect him, and actually take what he says seriously

You actually listen and the fact you can handle yourself is not only admirable in Kaidous eyes but also something he’s sorta envious of.

Of course nothing ever comes out of that envy he feels but it’s still there

C - Cuddling (how do they like to cuddle?)

Getting this man to cuddle with you is a huge hassle

But once you manage to have him there- it’s definitely worthwhile

Now, don’t get me wrong- Kaidou loves the idea of being so close to you but actually doing it? It would be the death of him

So when the time comes and you guys actually do cuddle he’s all blushy and nervous

Kaidou loves the idea of being held

I mean he’s pretty starved for affection and previous times from when you coddled him and held him he’s been into it

So this time is no different- you open your arms and take the first step (because, let’s be honest, who else will?)

The two of you end up being in a position where you’re holding him and cradling him

He’s honestly enjoying it the whole time and his loud thumping heart beat makes that obvious

He’s such a cutie while cuddling too

He’s too nervous and can’t trust his voice but asks you if you’re ok with it all the same

And ofc you’re ok with it but it’s still sweet of him when he’s barely holding on

D - Dates (what does their ideal date with you look like?)

He’s probably just as delusional in his daily life as with your relationship

So he’ll be casually day dreaming of the two of you going out on a date, but where to?

Well, it’d be at a cafe

Not only would it be in a booth so he’s with you- but also enjoying sweets

Not to mention it’s out of school and away from his mom so ofc he’s gonna like it

Once you two actually do end up going on this dream date of his, he’s so excited

He’s literally buzzing and is pretty nervous

Ofc things go as good as they can and it went without a hitch

Probs cuz Saiki decided to help with disturbances but you’ll never know

Kaidou is his usual self

He’s pretty expressive with his jet black wings act and usually goes out of his way to do that around you

It’s pretty usual

However, he also learns to express his inner feelings

Ofc it’s only after a while- I mean remember him crying in the restroom stall in that one episode? LMAO

Eventually he learns he can just tell you how he feels but is definitely hesitant to because he’s scared to have your image of him change

Once you make him more comfortable then he’s even more expressive

Especially since he has his emotions on full display most times 😭

E - Equal (do they prefer to be more in control or laid-back in the relationship?)

He likes to think he’s more in control

He loves to pretend dark reunion is around and goes on about how he’d protect you

You of course play into it and that makes him happy

But in all honestly you’re probably the one in control

He doesn’t exactly hate it but rlly wants to be the one to protect you rather than the other way around

He thinks and occasionally says this however once you take the initiative he’s literally the most flustered person you’ve ever met

He becomes putty in your arms and in all honesty prefers to be spoiled more than anything

But honestly I feel like if he were to ever say anything about it it’d mostly be after he feels comfortable to

Regardless, it’s obvious to everyone and anyone that you’re the one more in control

And if u like this man, you probably expected this

Honestly Kaidou is just existing

I’m gonna be real, he never expected to have a relationship with anyone much less someone he feels so loved by

So maybe if you love him just as much then he’ll be happy at the idea of marriage

But then again, it’s too much too soon and would prefer to just experience your relationship now and decide later

He never really thought about it either but knows it’s probably something in his future considering how people usually get married once out of school

Now, kids are a whole other thing

He’s pretty hesitant about marriage so image children

Does not like the idea of kids at the moment

I mean not only is he trying to enjoy his life but it’s honestly just not on his mind

F - Forgiving (If they had a fight with their partner(s), how would they apologize? Or would they be petty about it?)

I feel like Kaidou would apologize relatively quick

He’s not gonna be upset unless given a reason and if it’s something stupid or small then he feels the worse

He’ll apologize probably even if it’s not even his fault because of how scared he is of you breaking it off with him

He’s pretty down bad for you so ofc he’s gonna apologize and be sorry first

You ofc forgive him and talk things out but you especially need to tell him that he doesn’t need to apologize without any regard of whose wrong

Especially if you’re the one in the wrong

Just communicate and tell him that you’ll always be there for him as long as he’s there for you too

G - Gifts (how do they feel about gift giving? What are their habits when it comes to this?)

He’s pretty ok with gift giving

I mean most times when it comes to holidays (especially valentines) he doesn’t expect much

He’s always the one giving even in the past when he’d be made fun of

So he’s ok with gifting you stuff without getting anything in return

Although, it would make him sad

He’d cry himself to sleep

But when he gifts you it and you say thanks he’s glad- then turns to leave since the bell rang

However he doesn’t expect you to call him back and shove something in his arms

Of course you go on about it but be couldn’t care less if it’s not the best in your eyes(it literally is- you know him so well)

He tears up and hugs you so hard it doesn’t even matter that he’s flustered

After that it becomes the norm for him to gift you little things and with how cute he looks gifting you it- it’d be hard to not gift him random things occasionally.

This becomes the norm and it doesn’t even have to be “actual “ gifts

Gifts from him range from snacks from the vending machine to origami, drawings, and honestly things that make you think of him as a little crow

He’s so adorable and loves gifting you stuff and is flustered and shys away each time without a fail

With all this things considered- please be the gifting king 😭

G - Gratitude (how grateful are they to have you? what do they think your relationship is worth in comparison to other things in their life?)

He’s super grateful to have you, you have no idea 😭

Kaidou has never been in a relationship much less have someone reciprocate his feelings so ofc he’s gonna be so grateful for you

He’d probably hold your relationship to the same level he holds his friendships

I mean you guys were probably friends first and now that you’re dating you’ve only gotten closer

So maybe above them

And if yall are super super close he’ll probably hold your relationships worth pretty high

I mean he’s your potential future husband (that thought alone has him giddy) so he knows he needs to have you as a priority.

G- Gentle (how gentle are they? physically and emotionally)

Kaidou is actually really gentle

Both physically and emotionally

He’s pretty often discarded as a person by others so he knows how it feels to be mistreated and not feel like he belongs

So ofc he’s very gentle and makes sure you’re ok

I mean most times whenever something goes wrong he apologizes and tries to tend to you best he can

He doesn’t really know how to handle emotional situations so all he knows is to try to make you feel better

All that tied together is him being gentle with you

He’s pretty patient and this is mostly because of how you put up with his antics too

He’s not only this way emotionally but physically

I mean dude is not the best at physical stuff so most times he gets pushed or scared easily too

With that in mind he tries to be nice emotionally and physically

Like yknow how people play fight? He doesn’t rlly like doing that even if you say it’s fine

Realistically he’d fly away if u pushed him but it’s the thought that counts

H - Holding Hands (when/how do they like to hold hands?)

You and him probably held hands when you guys were casually walking after school

You had decided to go shopping just for fun and it just sorta happened

You’d think that you’d make the first move but Kaidou went ahead and surprised you by taking your hand first

He refused to look at you and when you tried getting his attention he couldn’t bring himself to ignore you

So he turns to you and his face is fully flushed and refuses to speak in fear that he’ll stutter and have the worst voice cracks he’s ever had

The two of you continue the whole time until Kaidou lets go

He ends up confessing to you that he was scared that his hands were sweaty later on in your relationship when you were sharing random stuff 😭

You guys usually hold hands when you’re walking somewhere and rarely at school too because of not only how teachers make a big deal but the students too

Plus Kaidou is too shy for others to see

He loves to just hold your hand like a regular person

Seriously, idk how other ways you can hold hands so let me know maybe it’s just me that doesn’t know

But that’s pretty much it

He gets better over time with dealing with his emotions but he stays pretty much the same

H - Hugs (do they like hugs? how often do they do it, and what are they like?)

HE LOVES HUGS

Ofc it’s a jumpscare when you first hug him

Mostly because he’s so touch starved but also because he’s never been in a relationship before

Anyways, you guys rarely hug because of how anxious and fidgety he gets when you guys do

It definitely also takes a while for him to hug you back and especially initiate a hug

So most times you don’t really hug he’s usually leaning his head on your shoulder and cuddling up to you like that when you’re just sitting down-

But when you do hug it’s really sweet

He’s warm and you can finally have him in your arms

His hugs used to be really stiff

But eventually they develop to be cozy and warm

That’s when he’s holding you

When you’re holding him (which is usually) he’s really clingy and actually ends up forgetting to be self conscious

Honestly when they’re initiated by him it’s awkward but sweet and they’re really nice

It’s a shame he doesn’t initiate much 🥱

I - Injury (how would they act if you got hurt?)

He’d pin it on dark reunion-

No but actually he’d be like that 😭

Like if you tripped he’d help you up and make sure you’re ok but he’d probably go on a monologue on dark reunion and you’ll just have to smile and nod

If you end up at the nurse then he’d ask for permission to see you and be by your side as long as he can

Then he’s just moping in class without you

I mean most times he does this but if you were to seriously get hurt he’d be really concerned and although he has his dark reunion thing he knows it’s not the time

So he’ll try and support you best he can

(Best he can because he’s an awkward teenage boy) but yknow

I- I love you (how fast would they say ‘i love you’?)

I can image this going two ways

The first way would be him saying it almost immediately

He’s so bad at love bombing and can’t help himself

He’s probably in a delusion that he’s in some romance novel or sum and you’re his LI

Plus you’re just so incredible

So he just blurts it out in one of those stereotypical rainy days while you’re walking under an umbrella together

He’s all flushed and stuttering like a fool

You’re surprised he did run away like those weird anime girls but if and when he does say it

Pls pls pls reassure him because he will immediately think you don’t like him and cry himself to sleep

Anyway, the other way I imagine this going would be after a long time

Dude is SO nervous and anxious to tell you but eventually does after like a thousand years

So he’d either tell you immediately or wait for the longest goddamn time ever

No in between

J - Jokes (do they like to joke around with or prank you? how?)

He is so silly 😭

He isn’t the type to joke harshly with you with insult but rather genuine and sometimes stupid jokes or pick up lines (that he only had the courage to say because of the joking undertones)

He’d probably never prank you unless you like to prank him first

Either way they’re silly pranks and never that serious

Plus jokes with Kaidou and usually him making himself seem dumb and when you do laugh along with him make sure to reassure him in the end

But yea Kaidou is just a lil silly guy and although the majority of his jokes are like that he just does stuff that are so hilarious sometimes without realizing

But when he wants to be funny? Yea not funny whatsoever 😭

J - Jealousy (what makes them jealous? what are they like when they’re jealous?)

He usually gets jealous when you take interest in someone else other than him

Now, it’s not like usual but only ever if you pay more attention/ hang out with them more

Most times it’s whatever and you tell him it’s not like that and he feels better

But it’s only when someone who he’ll admit is hot comes and tries to romance you or whatever that he gets jealous

He’ll probably go on about it in his delusions and claim in the dark reunion trying to get to him through you

Ofc Saiki is like “sure buddy” but Kaidou is secretly (not so secretly) freaking out and panicking

He’s starting the think that you’ll seriously leave him and Saiki is just there knowing that you’re just as down bad for Kaidou and he is for you

Whenever interacting with you during this time he’s pretty avoidant and gets distant

Ofc you’ll have to pull him out of his own head and tell him you love him

He freaks out and now instead of being upset he’s blushing and flustered

He ends up giddy since you ask him out in the end and talk it out but he’ll never forget the say the dark reunion tried to steal you and lost to him.

K - Kisses (what are their kisses like? who kissed who first? where do they like to kiss you?how do they like to kiss you?)

I love Kaidou as much as the next person but poor dude is SO BAD AT KISSING 😭

He seriously doesn’t know what to do the first time and just tries his best

The two of you first kissed when you managed to pass his moms test and made her love you and the two of you went to his room to “study”

Well regardless, you’re both sitting down as his mom left to the kitchen to bring some snacks for you two

He’s all nervous about you being over and when you tell him you want to kiss him straight up he’s all shocked

Ultimately he decides to let you and in reality it was just a short and sweet peck but ofc in his mind it was so dramatic

Well you two pulled away right when his mom came back and she was suspicious but nothing came of it

Ofc Kaidou was being the most suspicious person know to man

Anyways as they become more usual he likes to just give cheek kisses

They’re not too intense for his heart but when you guys do occasionally kiss on the lips he’s on the verge of exploding

He likes it and when y’all end up making out? He needs some space 😭

It never rlly crosses until later but yknow

L - Love (how do they show you they love you? What’s their love language?)

Honestly Kaidous love languages would probably be quality time, physical affection, and gift giving

Let me explain 😼

Most times Kaidou feels closest to you is just by hanging out

I mean he loves being invited to go places and just makes him feel wanted there

So ofc it’d be that

But at the same time he usually gifts you little things

He gifts (as previously mentioned) a lot of little trinkets to you most times

Whether it’s something from the vending machine, little notes, origami, or just little things

So that’s that and ofc the last would be physical affection

He’s so desperate for it that he loves when you show him any

He mostly shows you his love by including you in his delusions by making you like royalty 😭

He’d make u super op to but somehow the jet black wings has to protect you

M - Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Mornings spent with Kaidou would probably be spent after a sleepover (that was disguised as a study sesh that would be an all nighter)

When you wake up you do the usual morning routine alongside Kaidou

If it’s a weekend (which is most likely)

You guys would probably be all lovey dovey in secret away from his mom as best you guys can 😭

Either way the two of you end up eating breakfast made by his mom (she’s super nice after the whole study thing) and just hang out doing whatever

N - Nightmare (what is their worst fear?)

His worst fear would probably be discovered when he’s asleep and you’re over

He’d wake up from a nightmare and because of all the commotion you’d wake up alongside him

He’d share his nightmare and ofc it’d be what it is

He goes on to explain his nightmare of dark reunion taking you hostage or whatever but seems pretty shaken up

Ultimately he ends up revealing how real it felt and that’s why he’s this way

Just comfort him and tell him you’re there for him as long as he needs you

He’d feel better and wanted, and as long as you hold him in your arms then he’ll fall asleep peacefully

Ofc it actually was about you leaving him for someone else but he’ll keep that to himself until he’s ready

O - Obvious (How obvious do they make it that they like you?)

HES SO PAINFULLY OBVIOUS 😭😭

I mean anything you do- he’s head over heels

In an argument where you’re wrong? Well you’re right in his eyes made a plan that’s not the best but is ok? He’s all in

He’s pretty down bad and it’s obvious

He’ll most times go on about you in front of Saiki or Nendo and they have to suffer him and his crush he has on you

Especially if he asks Saiki or nendo to ask you things but freaks out when Nendo ends up exposing him 💀😭

Saiki is just standing there like 🧍‍♀️

And shrugs and walks away

Little does Kaidou know that you’re head over heels in love too

Match made in heaven ig 🤷‍♀️

P - Pet Names (what do they like to call you?)

As I’ve mentioned Kaidou probably has you as a character in his little delusion with the dark reunion

So he’d probably call you a name that has to deal with that 😭

In all honesty he’d probably want to call you the most rancid couple nicknames known to man

He’d want to call you that but he’s just too nervous to and wouldn’t unless you enable it

So when you finally let him he’s hesitant but ends up doing it

Then he’s caught by Saiki and others then gets ruthlessly made fun of 😭

P - Patience (how easily do they get angry?)

Kaidou doesn’t get angry all that often

If at all

I mean look at him, if anything he’d probably blame any and all problems on the dark reunion

Plus he’s super patient and is actually rlly cool about most things

If anything he’d be sad over any issues or fights you two have rather than being angry

Q - Quiet (How are the calm, quiet moments with them?)

The only time I can imagine a time where it’s quiet is when he ends up exposing how he really is

He’s probably bummed that you discovered him for who he is and not some cool guy who battles evil

Which you never thought but yknow

It’s unusually silent and nothing happens until you speak up

It’s not until you tell him that you don’t care about his little facade and that you genuinely care about him and not the fact that he “lied” to you

It all works out and the two of you end up silently just cuddling and being there for each other

R - Rhythm (what songs reminds you of them?)

Ofc I had to Here’s the song

R - Romance (How romantic are they? What are their go-to ways of being romantic?

Kaidou is so romantic it’s not even funny 😭

Most of his confidence comes from being jet black wings so ofc he’d do most of his romantic gestures and disguise it behind his alter ego

Most times he acts cool about it and that’s when he usually does dramatically romantic stuff

Like he’ll have a bouquet of flowers and maybe chocolates

He’ll hand them to you all confidently while on one knee

Then totally freak out while waiting for your reaction to them

All his confidence practically deteriorates and he’s waiting for your response 😭

But once you respond the way he likes then he loves it

I mean most times he’ll do this but otherwise when he’s seriously trying to win you over more than he already has he’s all flushed and tries to stutter it out as best he can

Most of his go tos are simple things like getting you stuff when you want it

But other times he’ll make sure to go out of his way to get you stuff

when you draw attention to his affections he’ll be super red 😭

S - Secrets (how open are they with you?)

Kaidou is pretty open with you besides how secretive he is with his diary about the dark reunion

That is until you end up finding it when you’re in this room 🕴️

That’s when he totally freaks out and tries to explain himself

His red face is really distracting so most of the time he’s trying to explain himself you’re just standing there

Honestly at least he’s secretive about this and not anything weird 🤷‍♀️

S - safe (What makes them feel safe and comfortable around you?)

Everything you do

Honestly Kaidou has never had anyone supportive of him and his likes

So just you being there and indulging in his delusions is enough for him

But the fact that you continuously put up with him and his insecurities just really ties it all together

He wants to be the one to make you feel safe and comfortable yet you’re the one doing it to him

S - Security (how protective are they? how would they protect their s/o?)

HES SO PROTECTIVE 😭

I mean Kaidou is obviously the jet black wings ofc he’d be powerful and protect his dear y/n

Butttt he’s also secretly a coward who covers that with the facade of the jet black wings

So he’d protect you and put himself ahead of you but when it comes to actual scary situations?

He’s shitting himself

He’d still protect you and put you above himself but he’d be so scared 😭

He’d probably protect you by cooperating with what the other person wants realistically if it’s a bad situation (that one mugging ep)

But if it’s not that bad then he’ll play as his alter ego and protect you by putting the attention on himself and his awesomeness

He’s so cute and if you protect him back he’s a bit bummed because he wants to be the strong one but once you explain that you want it to be mutual he practically has heart eyes

T - Time (how long did it take you to get together?)

It probably took so painfully long 😭

I mean homedude is so obviously in love with you and he’s painfully oblivious at first to how you feel

He’s basically head over heels and as I’ve said, you guys are probs rlly good friends before anything

So you both don’t want to ruin it

But eventually Saiki probably gets tired or sum best believe you’re making the first move and Kaidou ends up finding you with a “love letter” you wrote to him and the rest is history

So in short, it took a good while and probably would’ve tooken longer if Saiki, your wingman, wasn’t there to force yall

T - Tend (How do they act when you’re hurt or sick, and vice versa?)

Kaidou acts pretty panicky when you get hurt or something

He’s automatically making sure you get home and once it’s the weekend then he’s taking care of you while you’re sick like a stereotypical romance anime

Although you’d expect him to be terrible at taking care of people he’s actually the opposite

He’s always taking care of you and if Saiki and Nendo somehow get dragged along (knowing them they probably were) then Nendo would probably do stuff that disturbs him taking care of you

Surprisingly he ends up shooing them away and actually takes decent care of you (and if you ever try any romantic gestures on him he’s seriously gonna have to step out of the room)

When he’s sick he’s probably whining and pretty weak ngl 😭

So when you’re taking care of him (which you disguised as a favor to his mom) he’s blushing at every thing you do especially when you touch his forehead

He’s pretty much taking everything as a move and is blushing the whole time so do what you will with this information 😭

T - Tease (how do they tease you?)

How does he tease you?

Please it’s pathetic

Ok ok I’ll try and not to bully Kaidou but it’ll be hard not to

If anything you’re the one doing the teasing

I mean just look at him

Realistically he’d try and tease you because of this one romance manga that he started reading

Only when he starts acting that way do you just look at him like 🕴️

And to finally K.O. Him you decide to tease him back

He’s so weak to it too, he practically folds for you and just nods along

Take it easy on him and just spoil him rather than tease him 😭

He’d die from overheating at this rate so take it easy on the poor guy

U - Upset (how do they act when you’re upset?)

He’s pretty aware of when you’re upset because you’re probably not going along with him like you usually do

He blames it on dark reunion too 😭

Eventually he realizes you’re seriously upset and his mood does a whole 180

He’s practically begging for you to not be upset anymore but in all seriousness he eventually just tries to talk things out with you

Ofc it all works out in the end but things sure can be tough

V - Vaunt (what are they proud of? Do they like to show you off?)

He’s honestly just proud of you as whole

He sees you as if you were way better in his mind so ofc he’d be proud of you

I mean it literally gets to the point where he thinks over if you genuinely do like him 😭

He likes his looks and wants to be appealing to you so ofc he tried his best and feels all cute when you compliment him

But he also cares immensely with how he’s viewed, especially by you

He wants you to know that he’ll protect you and wants you to view him as someone strong and reliable

Especially against the dark reunion- he wants you to know you could always rely on the jet black wings and go to him- not anyone else- but HIM

Regardless of whatever he projects you know this and when you acknowledge and try to show him you care and feel that way-

Kaidou would absolutely fight for you

I’ve already stated that he’s so over protective and always ready to defend you and even put your safety over his

So ofc he’d be willing to fight for you and even beside you

Really, no one really makes him feel all that liked most times so when you decide to fight for him and defend him he’s head over heels all over again

The most likely scenario would be that mugging one from before

You guys probably were getting mugged then you decided to defend the both of you

Kaidou is honestly touched that you’d protect him before he had the chance to do anything so he’d try and tap into his jet black wings persona and help defend you

It probs ends with Saiki interfering but it’s the thought that counts

He’s able to read you pretty well, especially since you’re usually going along with his delusions and encouraging him with whatever nonsense he does

He can be a bit oblivious at times but because of how much of a person pleaser he is with you since you’re the only one who goes along he notices every little thing

So whenever you’re upset about something he can automatically tell (although he’d honestly be distracted)

He can also tell when you like something so atleast that makes up for his obliviousness 😭

X - XO (How do they show you affection? How much PDA are they willing to show?)

I feel like Kaidou is pretty closed off to showing affection at all at first

I mean I already said his love languages but he’d be hesitant to do anything he’s practically been sheltered so it’s no surprise here

Ofc eventually he’s willing to kiss, hold your hand and hug you and stuff couples usually do

However, he’s still pretty shy as the day you guys got together

So he’d probably not be that willing to show PDA but if you rlly want to he won’t be able to decline

I mean most times you’re the one making the moves so he’s probably used to it at this point

Ofc there’s the rare occasion that he wouldn’t mind it which would be when he’s being made fun of or whatever but either way he’d still be bright red and on the verge of exploding

He acts so bold and clingy when he’s sleepy

He’ll be his complete opposite and do and say whatever along with clinging on you

If you were to reject his affection while he’s sleepy he’d take it so personally it’s not even funny 😭

Well it is sorta funny considering that he’s trying to kiss you when a couple hours ago he tried avoiding sleeping in the same bed as you

He’s so nervous and refuses to even get on the goddamn bed at first

It’s like the floor is lava- but with the bed

So when he finally goes to lay down next to you hallelujah cuz you can finally go to bed

He’s literally buzzing awake too so you have to pull him and hold him for him to calm down

Request: reader is slightly older than the scoobies and really protective of them, especially buffy. The reader hates spike because of how he's bragged about killing slayers in the past. However, a while after he gets the chip, they start to grow on each other, and eventually fall for each other. Sort of an enemies to lovers type of deal. A/N: Flattery will get u everywhere with me apparently. Kind asks totally get my inspiration flowing, also Spike and enemies to lovers. So, to sum up, this was one heavenly request for me!

Sunnydale was surprisingly quiet at the moment which meant bad things were probably on the horizon. You were smiling as you did your night-time routine though, thinking about something Spike had said to you that evening at the Bronze which had made you laugh. He was growing on you, ever since the Initiative chipped him, he had been a lot more fun to be around. You didn’t really like him when you first met, you weren’t even convinced by him a few months ago, but now you found yourself almost enjoying his company. Platonically, of course.

That night, as you started to get into bed the temperature in the room started to chill. It was as if you had unknowingly walked into a freezer. You jumped, dropping the sheet you had pulled back for you to slip into as a voice boomed out of nowhere, echoing against each wall in the room. You turned to see a ghost staring straight at you. Great, just what you needed.

“You will be visited by three ghosts tonight. The ghosts of romance beginning, possible and destiny” The figure spoke, apparently the powers that be were getting tired of you and Spike dancing around each other and decided to take direct action.

“Are you fucking kidding me?”

“The first apparition shall arrive when the clock strikes one” The figure spoke as it disappeared before your eyes. You groaned, you really didn’t need to see some warped Christmas Carol-style look at your past dates. But, that wasn’t what this was. As you fell deep into a sleep you had been fighting so that the apparition wouldn’t get its way, you had a dream. It was very similar to that of a prophetic dream you may or may not have been pretending to read about at a Scooby meeting a day previous.

The Beginning:

The first scene was a memory of yours from a while ago, which really was just lazy haunting on the spectre’s part. It was one of the times that you had finished shouting at Spike for being just plain nasty to your younger friends. You were a few years older than the other Scoobies, making you the protective, ‘parent’ friend. Any advice, worries or study support and you were there. You particularly worried about Buffy, the responsibility she held got her down sometimes and you felt protective of her as if she was your little sister. You wished you could protect her from everything that came her way.

When Spike, having ignored your rant, started to follow Buffy through a darkened graveyard, you stepped out. You had no super-strength, no secret powers, but you did have an attitude and a protective streak. So you blocked his path.

“No”

“Wh-”

“Just no, Spike. Leave her alone” You warned. He enjoyed taunting her with threats and stories of his past exploits, especially gruesomely detailing the way he killed slayers in the past.

“I was just gonna offer my services”

“There are no services you can provide that are gonna make Buffy listen to you. Go home”

“Jealousy looks cute on you, pet”

“Just – go” You warned. He smirked, moving in. He grabbed your upper arm, a mean look as he pulled you into him so he could whisper in your ear. But you thought fast, “Ow! Ow that really hurts!” You hissed, wincing and shaking in pain as he dropped your arm and started to clutch his own head in agony. He hadn’t realised he had gripped your arm that tight. Bloody breakable human bones.

But you straightened up as he started to clutch his head, smiling a satisfied grin before winking. He hadn’t hurt you. You had been pretending, which still fired off the chip because he thought he had caused pain.

“I bloody hate you!” he shouted, still rubbing his head, “Spiteful fucking bitch” He seethed, pointing at you angrily. Wishing he could twist your arm out of its socket and cause excruciating pain you had just given him. He stalked off, the opposite direction from both you and Buffy which had been your goal to begin with, so you were satisfied.

The Possibility:

The second dream sequence was, again, some pretty lazy ghosting in your opinion. It was you and Spike at the magic box last week. You found yourselves sat together as the others excitably skipped to the dance floor. You and Spike were left nursing your drinks together.

“Alright, love?” he asked as you watched the others with a little smile. You weren’t so much older, but old enough that you looked at them fondly as if you were reminiscing about being as carefree as them in your youth. They didn’t get the chance often and you saw Buffy and Riley dancing together which made you happy for her. She needed something like this, something more stable.

“Yeah, it’s just a nice evening” You smiled at Willow and Tara as they gave you a little wave, shaking your head as they tried again to get you to join them and dance.

“Too right, bagged more than one demon and the onion flower’s back on the menu” Spike said, looking over at the bar. He wasn’t too bothered by what the others were doing.

“Onion flower?”

“Don’t tell me you haven’t tried it”

“I haven’t” you shrugged, sipping on your soda. As much as you enjoyed partying with the others, you wanted to keep an eye out and get them all home safe at the end of the night. They were mostly new to drinking so you wanted to be on hand and sober if there were any disasters.

“You haven’t lived! Bloody brilliant, they soak it in water first then fry it – shallow – on both sides until golden”

You were staring at the dance floor as he spoke animatedly, his hands gesturing, clearly this was a particular favourite of his. You looked at him, an amused smile on your face. It made his face harden, he hadn’t realised how carried away he had gotten. He looked a bit embarrassed and you couldn’t help the genuine smile that spread across your face.

“Hey, that sounds pretty cool” You offered him, he was clearly expecting you to make fun of him or run to the microphone at the front and announce loud to the entire Bronze that he was actually really lame and not at all scary. He looked at you for a moment, almost as if he wanted to say something more. Offer more than the usual insults you both traded, but he just got up to get himself another drink – not offering to buy you a round.

However, Spike came back with a smug grin and an onion flower which he set in front of you. You couldn’t help smiling softly at his enthusiasm, it was almost endearing. His face faltered as he saw the way you were looking at him, he felt something suspiciously close to affection rising in his chest, connecting through clusters of nerves throughout his entire body. This was when he realised he liked you. He really liked you. Oh no.

The Destiny:

The third ghost brought you somewhere that was not yet in your memory, but you were very pleased with the way it made you feel. It was unusual, you felt older but nothing about Sunnydale had apparently changed. Spike was in your apartment, a place he had never been invited before but he walked around the place as if he knew it. As if it were his own house.

It was like you were watching a romantic film, the anticipation whether the love interest would kiss you being almost painful. You were staring at him as he moved around your kitchen with ease, making you a hot drink and taking some blood from your fridge. You yearned for him and could tell he felt the same. The subtle glances, the desire for the other’s touch.

He smiled when he saw you watching, you walked into the kitchen, taking your cup and sipping it slowly. It was made exactly how you like it. Spike moved so that he was looping his arms around your waist from behind. You hummed, staring out of the window into the cool night. You felt calm, safe. Something you had never thought about with Spike but you had a feeling that after this dream, it was all you were going to be feeling.

“I’m so glad I’ve got you, love… never thought we’d actually do it mind”

“I could never imagine my life without loving you, Spike. It just feels so right” You found your mouth moving of its own accord.

“Mm, and a little wrong… in a good way” he smirked, moving into your neck as he mumbled the words. He pressed some soft kisses there as he thought about the way you had become his. He loved you, not able to stop himself grinning like an idiot when you were around him still. The strangest part was that you knew he loved you and your feelings complimented his perfectly.

“In the best way” You confirmed, finding yourself smiling. You set the mug down, knowing what was coming as he spun you around to face him. He smirked, eyeing you as you smiled in anticipation.

There was that familiar look in his eye before he moved in, you felt blunt teeth grazing your neck, your own breathy moans ricocheting around the room as you grasped at his shirt. You clutched at strands of his blonde hair, his kisses heated but with an underlying affection he could never shake when it came to you. he pressed you against the kitchen counter, laying kisses so hot they felt as if they were marking your skin, his lips branding you as his. They were on yours now, you moaned into his mouth as his hands started to roam and this is where the dream ended.

It was disappointing, the anticipation was killing you and you longed for this to be real some day. You woke with a start, jolting up in bed. You woke to find yourself alone in your apartment, desperately missing Spike’s touch. His kiss. His love.

Whatever had been going on last night, you were sure you would never see Spike the same again and honestly, you didn’t really want to.

In the harsh forests of Siberia, there lays a forlorned man kneeling in the ground ; as he observed his sole friend being eaten by the serrated teeth of the snow.

He didn't know which is worse the icy winds that threatens to graze his skin, or the empty void that keeps on growing gradually to enrapture him in a spectral of sorrow; leaving him without a light and any shred of hope.

Not that it mattered anyways, Vladimir was born alone; lived his life alone and probably will die alone.

When the hamster drowned completely ; the man grumbled and stood up to make away to his estranged family whom visits him scarcely in his shack of solitude.

" Brother, l may not visit you frequently. However, I fret alot about how negligent you've recently become not only toward us, but also toward yourself. So, I have an idea to remedy your desolation. ," the Belarusian suggeted awaiting the response of the reticent male.

"What that may be ? It won't work. No matter any attempt I've conducted to burn the memory. At best it haunts me, at worst, it depletes me.", came the cynical voice of the large man who is huddled beside the fireplace.

"Please understand that I give you my word that this time you'll- , she was cut off by Vladimir.

"No! You lack understandment. If you did understand me back then, why did abandon me? Now, don't try to manipulate me with your sugar-coated words,dear sister", his voice filled with loathe and disregard toward his traitor of a sister. Not that she was of his own blood, which proves his point people are discrenibly not to be trusted.

At one point, they'll take what they want from you; and then they will abandon you at any chance they get. He wont let it happen to him again. Never again.

As he ignored the wailing of his pathetic sister to stay and consider ; he left his shack and decided to go to the nearest town to meet one of the few people he came to trust. (Y/n).

His beloved snowflake.

His latest hope, that he'll make sure to persevere this time.

It's his turn to be selfish and take his reward for all the years of agony and loneliness.

A jingle was heard notifying you that a customer came. Only to be pleasantly surprised, that it was the the russian regular customer; Vladimir.

Another thing, he cherishes about you that your concerns and frets are genuine. Alongside, your intellect that sparked both his mind and heart alike.

" Нет, just stressed. I want to talk to you,if you're not busy.", he huffed as he inserted his large hands inside the pockets of his overcoat.

" No, not all. Considering I am about to close the shop now. I don't mind accompany you. Just give me a momento~ and I'll be ready.", as you left to close the shop; you didn't notice the ghost of a smile contorting through the face of the brunette russian.

"So, what are up to,Vlady? and care to share why were you upset? I don't want to be pushy, but If you'd like to share then I am all ears", you remarked and poked the towering man inflicting a warm feeling inside his heart. Just like the sun he rarely saw.

Sighing, as he began to retell about what happened a month ago along with recent happenings.

The way, he spoke about his best friend passing hurt your heart- reflecting your true nature as an empath- and the cold anger of his when he spoke about his family.

You wondered what happened to represent such hate. No matter, what matters now is to bring Vladimir spirits up.

"Say, what would you like me to do to bring your hopes up? Anything you'd like!", as you encircled your arms around his waist or in your case below his stomach.

The warmth of your bodice and it softness clashed against his rough and cold ones made him realize, how much of an important factor you represent in his wretched life with his wretched family and wretched luck.

In addition, if anyone did what you did he will forcefully push them aside. But, you! you are his everything as much as he will be your everything soon enough.

Now, the door of opportunities had granted him this chance to enrapture you in his grasp forevermore; thus he will take it with an iron firm hands.

Grasping his hands, you began to walk aside him to his abode.

Nothing,but the howling of the wind was heard ; as the both of you strolled toward his domicile. Vladimir reached his pockets to grab the keys and open the inky door.

"Such an interesting and intricate place you got,Vlad. Did you buy it?", stepping inside of the well-decorated abode. Said abode, was built upon black wood, and everything here are made of either wood or rarely metal.

Yet, it captured your interest as you are a fan of vintage architecture such as this.

"Glad you like it. However, I hadn't bought it. If, anything I built from scratch as I have an interest in building structures."

"My, that's amazing!,Vlad. You're such a talented man", you complimented his craftsmanship as you laid your hand at a woman in bridal clothes made from various type of wood.

Meanwhile, as you were immersed in the details of the house ; Vladimir brewed some tea for both him and his wife-to-be.

' It seems that you took my den to your liking. Good, adapt. Because, from on you'll be living here ;you'll become one with me and won't have the chance to leave me.'

" (Y/n)? May you come and chatter with me over a cup of tea?", Vladimir beckoned you as he sat in an umber chair; which is in front of a circular chocolate brown table.

"Sure thing.", trotting toward him with a sparkle of interest residing in your eyes. On the other hand, your guts is telling you otherwise. However, you ignored it. That was the last strike, before your fall down.

" Remember our first meeting? Nostalgic as it may be,but it always have a special place in my dormant heart", the brunette sipped his tea as he awaited your response.

" Indeed, I do !. Infact, I do too cherished and it is very sweet of you to say that. Considering, you're a grumpy bear usually", you remarked playfully,sipped your tea, and watched him glare at you halfheartedly.

" V-vlady, what's happening all of sudden. Why is everything so dizzy?", you spoke as you watch the world around you swirl and black spots began hazing your mind. Before you plummeted to the ground, a large arms had caught you in their arms. It wasn't warm this time,it was deathly cold similar to the embrace of death himself.

The last thing you saw were; Vlad's bloody irises and a cold smile gracing his visage.

Once you awakened from your stupor, you were met directly with the bloody orbs of the person whom took advantage of you.

" Ah! маленький. You've awaken; its seems the drug didn't last long. No matter, what truly matters is that you're with me now." ,Vladmir crawled closer to you. Thus, you started to take a step from your former friend.

"Why are you doing this Vladimir? Why? after all we've been through; you do this", your eyes began to drip in tears as you screamed at your fr- No! at the strange man that possessed your friend.

"Because, you are the only one who cares authentically about me and isn't afraid of me. You painted my grey world with your light. You're the sunshine that I never had, this why I have to keep you away. So, no one would taint you. Can't you see I am a merely broken man shunned and forsakened by his own family?. Yet, you want to take away my chance of happiness,маленький?", Vladimir remarked bitterly,staring intently through your eyes with desolate engraved in his cold dead eyes.

"Just give into me,love. If you won't I might do something we both will regret."

Finally, in the end he have gotten something good out of this pointless life! and he'll will ensure her safety with him as he'll drown her with the love that he never had.

This is a story of man who lost everything,yet he gained something better than everything; eternal love.

lana grew up in a big house in albany, NY. i picture it w dark oak floors n lots of light furniture. albums framed on walls. mayb some rolling stone covers too frm way bk when of the bands her dad’s label signed. kind of like… a rock star palace w no evidence of children at all. i think i described it best in one of lana’s self paras once when i said the garden ws “as big as it was unloved”

lana’s mum victoria (vic) ws a music journalist w a pretty fruitful career ahead of her when she met lana’s dad richard (rich). his record label ws jst starting out, founded on the coattails of his rich best friend’s (jensen peters) investment w his other best friend (who he jst calls knoxville). it rocketed to success when they signed poppy injects, a rock band w an electric stage presence, n victoria ws drawn to the glitz n glamour of a man tht ws at the helm of his aspiring industry. their love ws very impulsive, all or nothing right frm the start, n it ws almost like she ws mre in love w his accomplishments n what he represented than him. jst a leetle bit Fractured in its intentions.

anyway so jameson records repped a few big rock bands bk in the eighties, altho poppy injects r who they’re mostly known fr, namely bc of hw brightly they crashed n burned. they were a big chart success bt the lead singer hd quite an intense struggle w heroin (wsnt rly subtle abt it either while he ws in the public eye as u cn probably imagine frm such an on-the-nose band name) n he ws always in n out of the papers. it eventually brought down his career n it ws a big publicity nightmare

lana pretty much… grew up around figures like this throughout childhood. rly troubled characters who wld kind of… b extremely volatile n destructive abt their troubles. the jameson house was kind of an open one as welcoming clients went n a lot of parties took place there. a lot of the time musicians wld b snorting lines in the kitchen when she wnted to grab a bowl of cereal fr breakfast n it was just. a very strange environment fr a child to grow up in

(dissociation tw) bc of this growing up lana adopted this weird like…. she didn’t rly kno what it ws bt it ws a delusion of sorts where she thought she ws a ghost. she’d jst sort of… drift around the halls w noone acknowledging her n sometimes she ws jst convinced she wsnt actually there or they cldnt see her n she ws jst haunting the house frm a previous family

the one saving grace tho tht sort of?? gt her thru this n made her feel Seen ws caleb. lana quite genuinely hs always thought the sun shines out of her older brothers ass like she jst thinks. hes the best person in the entire world. wld b rly bewildered if anyone questioned tht. he wld always look out for her in the zoo they called a home n cut the crusts off her sandwiches (he’d cook fr them most of the time bc their parents were too busy/didn’t care to) n sometimes wld even sleep at the bottom of her bed curled up like a guard dog. it ws always lana n caleb n his best friend tommy against the world in tht house (tommy lived next door n was always over bc he had very strict parents including a military father tht he found suffocating)

SO when caleb n tommy announced tht they’d signed up to the army lana ws understandably…….. completely blindsided. she ws rly upset tht they were leaving bt she tried not to b mad at them n made them promise theyd b safe n back as soon as possible. she even asked if they cld somehow take her w them n they were jst like :/ it doesn’t work that way luv x

(death tw, ptsd tw, grief tw, trauma tw, hospitalisation tw, drugs tw) anyway caleb ended up getting discharged under grounds of severe ptsd when he witnessed tommy die in an explosion tht took place in a shock raid. caleb returned home sans tommy bt he was never the same after tht. he’s been in and out of hospital twice nw n he’s currently dipped off the radar after starting to use. lana kind of felt like two of her brothers died out there in a way n jst like tht it wasn’t them vs the world any mre, it was jst her. she doesn’t talk abt this tho. when she feels the urge to cry she usually jst smiles

ANYWAY whew tht rly…. took a dark turn there….. chuckles nervously at hw sad lana’s life is bt it’s fine it’s all fINE!!!!!!! ok. so on a mre lighthearted note the jameson family r pretty well off n bc of her relation to such a big music industry figure she’s hung out w a fair few relatively high rep ppl thru her teens. mostly kids of celebrities n stuff like tht. she amassed kind of an instagram following mainly fr her style (v penny lane-esque in some aspects aka lots of fur cuff trimmed jackets bt then also jst…. a wild combination of everything honestly. pastel faux fur coats, seventies style platforms, flame red cowboy boots, pink fishnet tights n glitter used like highlight Everywhere) n bc she’s undeniably Very Pretty

ANYWAY he ws found guilty n sent to jail so it ws like Intense n a gd example of the kinds of disastrous relationships she gets herself into. perks of being a wallflower voice: We Accept The Love We Think We Deserve.

PERSONALITY:

always smells vaguely of wild cherries or strawberry starburst or jst the candy aisle in general. if she ws a vinyl record she’d b this one n she’d only play good vibrations by the beach boys, dancing on my own by robyn, play that funky music by wild cherry, femme fatale by the velvet underground n (i can’t get no) satisfaction by the rolling stones

deliberately puts on tht kind of Magnetic Alluring Act tht femme fatales wear in movies w most ppl. kind of…. is always playing A Role of the person tht she wants to b seen as. chameleons to situations. feels like she’s performed as the vivacious n fun loving Lana Jameson fr so long tht she doesn’t rly kno who she is beneath tht bt she isn’t too keen to find out

hello! my name is sam and i’m v excited to be here bc this rp seems so cool! without further ado, allow me to introduce zak bagans ryan bergara elvie croft! details are below the cut, so please lmk if you wanna plot!

elvin tupelo croft, known mostly by the nicknames elvie or el, was born on halloween day in salem, massachusetts and he’s actually related to one of the many folks who were executed for “practicing witchcraft” back in the day, so yeah...he was always gonna be a spooky nerd like he basically had no chance oops

anyway, he had a pretty typical silver spoon childhood. his mom is a rich accountant and his dad is a rich lawyer, so elvie grew up in a nice neighborhood with a huge house, attended a highly respected private school, always got anything he asked for, etc etc etc. he has a great relationship with his parents even though they were always a little absent from his life because they were working all the time. the only thing they could never quite agree on was that elvie always wanted a younger sibling but his parents always said no aw

elvie was only four or five years old when he first fell in love with the horror genre. his parents would go out on date nights every weekend leave him with some teenage babysitter who didn’t really give a shit what he did lmao SO. of course he stayed up hella late watching horror movies that terrified and excited him at the same time and of course he immediately fell in love with them. his interest quickly expanded from just movies and went to shows, cartoons, books, comic books, magazines...you name it, and if it’s horror-related then there’s a very good chance elvie LOVES it.

fast forward to the age of fifteen and elvie suddenly knows what he wants to do with his life! well, okay it wasn’t suddenly...he’d been watching ghost hunting shows for a while by that point but it wasn’t until then that it finally hit him...he wanted to be a paranormal investigator — chasing ghosts, demons, cryptids and the like. he asked for a video camera and evp recorder for his sixteenth birthday and the rest is history!

elvie would go on to start his youtube channel that very year and it would immediately BLOW UP. his channel is basically buzzfeed unsolved supernatural tbh. at first he stayed local, but once he got to college elvie began taking weekend road trips to do investigations of haunted locations suggested by his viewers. as of right now, his subscriber count is at about 10 million so he’s obviously put a lot of work and care into his channel over the last seven years.

he attended college for business in order to please his parents and by that i mean...he went to harvard university akslfh. i can’t believe him! anyway, his parents are both alumni which probably helped him to get in, but elvie graduated valedictorian of his fancy private high school and while he definitely doesn’t seem like the type, he actually has a genius level iq, so that’s that on that! he honestly hated college & hated all of his classes because it always just felt like a waste of time to him, but went through with it for the sake of his parents because he loves them aw

he dipped the moment he was done with final exams though lmao. started to do his little road trip & investigation deal full time which is all his life has been for a little over a year now. he arrived in baltimore at the start of summer ‘18 and has been renting one of the bigger & more expensive units here in mulberry apts ever since! he’s been filming videos in the maryland/virginia area and has a few more planned before he plans to move on and go somewhere else, but lmao joke’s on him bc he’s clearly sticking around!

i think that’s enough of a backstory NOVEL, so let’s move onto personality & some extra fun facts!

he’s a very awkward horror-loving nerd who can be really bad at talking to people sometimes because he never really?? had friends growing up. he was the nerdy kid with braces and glasses who couldn’t play sports because he gets chronic nosebleeds and all he ever wants to talk about is how much he loves star wars and alfred hitchcock so he was the stereotypical nerdy kid who was getting his ass kicked by the football team every day

can get easily annoyed at which point he's obnoxiously sarcastic but for the most part he’s a total sweetheart. he’s a space cadet so he might zone out or go off into his own little world from time to time, but he’s an extrovert who genuinely loves talking to people so just give him a little nudge

doesn’t flaunt his intelligence at all and in fact, most people probably don’t even realize how smart he really is because a) he’s not exactly waving that harvard degree in anybody’s face and b) despite being very smart, elvie usually comes across as a total fucking hyperactive scatterbrained chaotic dumbass which negl he absolutely is like! he loses shit all the time, talks to himself, trips over everything, brews his coffee with monster instead of water and drinks that radioactive shit until he’s basically fuckin vibrating from how much gd coffee he’s inhaled...a Mess™, truly

survives on junk food, his personal faves being licorice, pizza, and anything else that’s loaded with sugar

loves horror movies and scifi so fucking much like...he literally has a dvd collection that is so big it’s actually overflowing from his multiple shelves at this point

he also has two pets named freddy and jason and they’re...tarantulas which is fucking horrifying so fyi on that! esp to anyone who lives on the seventh floor bc elvie doesn’t really keep track of the lil guys all that well oops?

flaunts his money a little bit but not really on purpose it’s just that...okay look he’s a rich youtuber from a wealthy neighborhood so he doesn’t even realize he’s doing it most of the time.

that being said...he’s got three cars. all black, all rolls royce. he got the ghost for his sixteenth birthday, the phantom when he got into harvard, and the wraith when he graduated from harvard asklfh. what a spoiled brat! anyway. you’ll usually catch him driving the wraith but he loves the ghost & phantom and invites you to stare at them enviously as you walk through the building’s parking lot lmao. i’m kidding fr fr if you want a ride just let him know and he’s gotchu.

his hometown is close enough to boston that he’s got a bit of an accent but doesn’t realize it and would not know what you’re talking about if you tried to point it out to him. that being said, he can also be SUCH A TYPICAL BOSTON DUDE™ SOMETIMES...except for the fact that he knows absolutely nothing about sports! he’s too nerdy for that shit lmao

seems pretty fuckin fearless and honestly he can be...like he’d deadass summon a demon for kicks oH and also he’s obsessed with halloween and there’s a good chance he’s already jumped out of nowhere with a michael myers mask on to scare the shit out of half the people in this building and i apologize for that truly!

WisCon 42 panel Female Friendship

Female Friendships in Our Stories panel description:

Women are often portrayed as competitive and territorial in media. In science fiction, this can be even stronger as the Smurfette principle often rules, and many of the women characters fill the "not like other girls" trope. It's rare to see genuine female friendships flourish in our stories. For many of us, the "mean girl" trope does not reflect the reality that we live in, and we're hungry for better depictions of our lived experiences. More stories are digging deeper into what female friendships can and do look like, however. Shows like Big Little Lies, Grace and Frankie, and Insecure; as well as female-led movies such as the new Ghostbusters and the Pitch Perfect series are some examples. Few of these are SFF-related though - we need more!

Moderator was Naomi Kritzer, with panelists Karin Gastreich, Crystal Huff, Lauren Jankowski, KJ, and Clarissa C. S. Ryan

Reminder that these panel notes are only my own recollections and the things I managed to write down - my notes are incomplete and likely faulty in places. Corrections and additions are always welcome. Especially please do correct me if I get names or pronouns wrong!

Also I name panelists as that’s publicly available information but not audience members unless requested by that person to have their named added.

[For context - I’ve been proposing a panel like this for years (due in large part to conversations with @prozacpark who sadly was not at-con this year) and was so excited to finally see it happen! It did not disappoint. It gave me ALLLLLL of the feelings and I plan to make some additional posts on the subject once I finish my panel write-ups. This will mostly just be about the panel itself, although knowing me I’ll add in the occasional aside. Also I’m really glad I got to this panel early enough to get a good seat up front because it filled up quickly and became standing room only with people sitting on the floor all over the place. Obviously a topic we WisCon-goers find close to our hearts.]

I neglected to get info down about the panelists introductions - sorry! I did jot down that Clarissa said she occasionally remembers to write male characters because it made me laugh. All of the panelists, I believe, are writers, so do look up their work if you want to find more female friendship rep in your reading!

Naomi started things off asking about the panelists’s fictional favorite female friendships and why they found them interesting. Her example was Anne of Green Gables - Anne and Diana. She liked that Anne comes into the friendship so needy and that Diana just accepts her as-is.

Lauren said Lost Girl’s Bo and Kenzi (YES) and that even tho Bo is attracted to women, she never sexualized Kenzi. (I especially love this in the context that Bo is a succubus and many of her relationships have a sexual component but she never turns that on Kenzi because Kenzi isn’t into that and it’s just inherently accepted between them that they are strictly platonic but deeply entwined friends - haaa see, I told you I’d have asides)

Crystal talked about Cold Magic by Kate Elliot. Crystal said she is unsure if the characters would choose their friendship over their new spouses in the end and has questions about the heteronormativity of that but overall loved the female friendships in the series.

Clarissa is a big fan of the Ghostbusters reboot. She doesn’t ship any of the women together, and finds that puts her on the outside of a lot of the fandom.

KJ reiterated Cold Magic and said that it is about cousins who are raised as sisters but who choose to be friends and the powerfulness of that choice. She also likes Kira and Dax from DS9.

Karin said she had a hard time finding examples from within SFF. She really likes the sister friendship in the Little House books, as well as Simple Magic, the Witches of Eastwick book (not the movie), and The Other Boleyn Girl (book).

Crystal talked about Alyc Holmes’s Dragons of Heaven and the transgressive ways it shows female friendship.

Naomi brought up the issues of shippiness and the line between friendship and romantic relationships and pushback within fandom.

Lauren talked about a personal story she had of a messy end of a friendship because she was told that adoption is pseudo-family as a defense of shipping adopted siblings. As an adoptee, this was very hurtful. She talked about her frustration with shippers who ship romantically and refuse to acknowledge the importance of friendship. The valuing of romance over friendship and friendship not being valid in and of itself. “Friendship is enough.” [I was kind of obnoxiously cheering this on because this is a huge issue for me. This might be the point at which I made some comment about there not being any way to dissuade shippers once they settle on a ship. For the record - I’m a huge shipper myself, I just happen to ALSO ship platonic and familial relationships and get super frustrated at fandom’s seeming inability to look at relationships in any other way than romantic.]

Crystal also talked about the extent that people will go to in order to ship something. She added “I know that my life isn’t mostly centered on getting people into bed.”

Clarissa added - why not both? She does want more queer female romances and finds herself sometimes going “oh they glanced at one another ... oooooh”. But friendship is so devalued and friendship breakups hurt!

Karin asked if making the friends sisters made the pressure to ship less - I mostly cackled from the audience, because no.

Naomi steered the conversation toward the topic of sisterhood - both literal and figurative. Also about friendship breakups. There is the classic romance plot of the couple breaking up and coming back together - do we find that in friendship narratives?

Clarissa said that Ghostbusters had an example of that at the start.

KJ said Buffy and Willow do this a couple of times.

Naomi said she often finds this in middle grade YA because this reflects reality at that age. Then asked about friendship tropes - for example she really loved the idea of blood sisterhood. She grew up in the 80′s when the idea of sharing blood = death and how doing that showed such a deep level of trust.

Crystal said it’s hard to come up with female friendship tropes because of how rare examples of female friendship are. Tropes are the things we see so much of they become ingrained.

Naomi asked - then what should be the tropes?

Karin said it’s hard to find books populated with female characters enough for there to be lots of female friendships in them. She doesn’t like the trope of the friend who only shows up when the main character is having romantic drama in their lives.

KJ she wants more examples of groups of female friends because that’s closer to real life. [YES] If these do exist in fiction, they are more in the background.

Clarissa wants more ride or die friendships. She gives Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Ghostbusters as examples of this.

Naomi wants more moments like the one in Ghosbusters where the one character was talking about her story of being haunted and being made of fun for it as a kid. The other character simply says - I believe you. This is a metaphor for sexual abuse. The validation that women give to one another around this. [Cue me sobbing tbh about being on both sides of this phenomenon]

Crystal wants more female friends who are not Mean Girls to one another. Example: Dreadnaught which is about a trans girl superhero.

Lauren talked about female friendships where the women are being supportive of one another. And women rescuing one another. Some personal stories about women rescuing one another were shared among the panelists.

KJ mentioned the graphic novel series Rat Queens.

Naomi brought up Sarah Dressen’s YA books. The example of a friend rescuing another friend from being left alone with a creepy “family friend”. The protectiveness of female friendships. [Me: crying again.]

Karin said she is all into rescuing between female friendships because we all need rescuing sometimes and thank goodness for the friends who rescue us. It’s a different dynamic than when men rescue women.

Clarissa said her “dirty fandom secret” is that she really loves hurt/comfort stories - they don’t have to be romantic in nature. An example is when she took care of a friend who had recently had surgery. She was like “wow this is so intimate - I’ve never seen your bodily fluids before.” [So much crying/laughing, thinking about taking care of my bestie after her double mastectomy last year.]

Crystal mentioned Foz Meadows - An Accident of Stars.

Lauren said that when she’s down, a friend will share pictures she’s taken of her books in bookstores to cheer her up. She also talked about wanting both more big adventure stories about female friendship, and more small snapshots of life.

Crystal said there is some of that in the Nancy Drew series, but looking back on those today - she is really turned off by the racism.

Naomi asked what is a story arc for friendship?

Crystal said that’s as varied as the individuals, and again there just isn’t enough of it in fiction to map out.

Karin talked about that initial connection or bond upon meeting someone that you know is going to become a friend. But then there is a process of trust building. The climactic moment is when that trust is solidified.

KJ said it’s more of an ebb and flow. She wants more honoring of the variety of friendships that exist as being equally valid.

Clarissa brought up a book - Stiletto? (I didn’t catch full name or author’s name) which includes the enemies to friends narrative.

Naomi said she loves enemies to friends even though she hates enemies to lovers stories.

Crystal said fiction needs to make more narrative sense than real life does, which causes us to simplify how relationships work.

Lauren wants more friendships that start with meet-cutes.

Naomi posited the question of what is a happily ever after for a friendship arc.

Crystal answered - the book isn’t over.

KJ said different friendships would have different happily ever afters.

Clarissa noted that different cultures have different types of friendships. She was talking about how our culture sees romance as the primary relationship in someone’s life and friendship is secondary or even tertiary.

KJ said she’s married to a man who is less social than she is, so she wouldn’t be able to meet all her social needs with him anyway. It’s very important to her to keep her friendships.

Crystal said friendships are often about surviving a thing together. But there is also the idea of creating something together. Naomi said fandom is often built on friendships like that.

Crystal also talked about the idea of rituals in friendships. As society has become less formal, we’ve lost some of those rituals. In fiction, we can create these.

An audience member asked about long distance friendship in fiction. Crystal said - all of my friendships are on the internet! She went on to talk about the tradition of epistolary friendships.

Naomi said the ritual of friendship these days is allowing someone to call us on the phone [HA].

Crystal brought up a book The Belles.

An audience member asked about unique sources of conflict in female friendships. Another audience member shouted out the video game Life is Strange in response.

Crystal said - let’s talk about the elephant in the room: no more conflict about boys. There can be disagreements between friends about politics or moral choices.

Naomi talked about the idea of losing a friend to a boy or the friend who only shows up when they are between relationships. Resolution to a conflict like that is the friend discovering the importance of their friendship.

KJ said another conflict involves distance - either physically moving away or becoming more emotionally distant, even a life change such as one friend having kids and the other one not.

Clarissa talked about trying to hold on to friendships through time and space as something SFF especially could explore.

Crystal added - or something like magical abilities manifesting in one friend but not the other.

Naomi mentioned fanfic about Hermione pre-Hogwarts and losing her friendships from that era.

An audience member added that part of the conflict in those types of situations would be that one friend couldn’t tell the other what was happening in their life.

Naomi loves it when the friend tells anyway because isn’t that what best friends do? They tell each other everything no matter what. The panelists all agree they hate secret keeping as plot device.

An audience member brought up a series - Heroine Complex about superheroes with secrets.

One audience member brought up Supergirl as an example and I continued while trying not to spoil current storylines for one of the panelists. I think I said it was doing interesting things in regards to how secret keeping was affecting a female friendship and also how the show in general does good at the valuing of friendship for it’s own sake.

Clarissa mentioned Cardcaptor Sakura, a manga/anime.

Crystal mentioned Gwenda Bond’s Lois Lane books.

An audience member brought up My Little Pony, someone else said Sailor Moon. Clarissa said anime/manga in general does a lot of this but we’re not on recs yet. Naomi said - oh, we’re on recs now. (lol)

Woojin was the first person to crush you in one of his tender ‘woojin, i think you’re suffocating me’ hugs. Jihoon joined the hug, nearly squealing.

“Y/N noona! We haven’t seen you in so long! Did you miss us?” Woojin asked, pouting when you only laughed at him. You rolled your luggage behind you, turning down Jihoon’s offer to help but he ended up carrying it to the car anyways.

“How have you guys been?” You had missed out on a lot of your friend’s lives as you were has traveled home to visit your family during the term break.

“Oh! Daniel hyung has been missing you like crazy! He can’t shut up about you,” your dongsaeng teased, causing your face to tinge pink. He leaned over and pinched your cheek.

“Sungwoon hyung! Don’t lock the car door on us!” Woojin yelled, causing his hyung to jump in shock. Disappointment surged through you that your boyfriend hadn’t come to receive you but you knew exactly how busy he was. He had been anticipating your return for the longest time but there was a complication with one of his tracks and he was needed back in the studio to rerecord it, thus, he had to wait a bit longer to see you again. You hoped to at least see him once before the sun set today.

“Hello Y/N! How was your trip?” Sungwoon greeted, smiling warmly as you were also his good friend.

“Hi oppa, and it was good break. I missed you guys though,” you replied.

“Pfft, you only miss Daniel hyung,” Jihoon insisted. “Ahh, what should I do! Y/N noona doesn’t like me anymore!” You attempted to reach over and wrap your arms around your playful younger brother as Sungwoon started driving.

“Ugh, don’t even ask me why I’m still friends with you Jihoon. I can never forget about my indirect hyungs and dongsaengs, especially you and Woojin! You guys are so special to me."

"Yah! What am I to you then? I woke up early to drive with these two jokes all the way to the airport for you,” Sungwoon scoffed, shaking his head but a smile was prominent on his pretty features. You giggled, glad to be surrounded by your friends and their banter, it brightened your mood and lifted the spirit. The atmosphere was relaxed and happy unlike in college. Sighing, you realised you only had about two weeks to spend finishing up your assignments, studying and hanging out with your friends.

Woojin noticed the sudden shift in your mood, he gazed worriedly at you and patted your shoulder affectionately. “What’s the matter noona?"

"Nothing, just realised how little time I have left with you guys,” you said, grateful for his observation skills. “I’m okay. Just really tired.”

“Sleep, Y/N. It’s a very long journey to your dormitory,” Sungwoon said. You nodded, resting your head on Jihoon’s shoulder and shutting your eyes.

…

“Baby, wake up. Y/N, it’s me.” A soft, caring voice lured you out of your slumber.

Still blur and teary-eyed, you slowly sat up and came to your senses, rubbing your eyes. You opened them, only to see your boyfriend’s handsome face staring back at you.

Daniel.

You nearly shrieked with joy, throwing your arms around his wide shoulders and pulling him close to you. Daniel let out a surprised laugh at your eagerness but held onto you tightly too. He seemed reluctant to pull away and assisted you out of the car.

The two of you bid the three other boys goodbye as they headed back to the Wanna One house while Daniel helped you to settle back into your dormitory. You knew your roommates were still out on vacation so it wouldn’t matter.

You nearly fell asleep again in Daniel’s arms. “Is my baby girl tired? Aww….when you’re in your room you can nap while I unpack your things, okay?” he said, eyes twinkling at your cuteness.

You flopped onto your bed and curled up in a ball. It took you some time to fall back to sleep, so you watched Daniel hurry about your room, neatening and packing your belongings. God bless. “Daniel, come and cuddle with me,” you called out, reaching out to him. “I can’t sleep."

Daniel smiled, happily obliging. "Do you want to go out tomorrow?"

"I don’t know…you’re still busy in the studio right?"

Your boyfriend nodded sadly. "Unfortunately, yes. The rest of the boys are quite free though, you can ask them to take you out. I may be able to meet you for dinner though. For now, you should rest. Goodnight, Y/N."

So, with Daniel humming sweet melodies and tracing circles on your back, you had no problems going back to dreamland.

"Wah! Woojin and noona look so much like a couple!” Jihoon yelled, clicking away on his camera.

“What?” Woojin was quick to reply, “Me and noona? No way. Ugh. Daniel can keep her !"

Your jaw dropped and you gasped in mock offence, slapping the younger boy’s shoulder playfully. He beamed at you, showcasing his adorable snaggletooth.

Daniel had told Woojin, Jihoon, Seongwoo and Jaewhan to look after you while he and the rest of the group was busy with something. You were upset he was still occupied with work but promised to come home safe and sound to him. Woojin and Jihoon was ecstatic when they found out they would be going out with you and by their idea of going out, they meant driving to the beach in the middle of summer transition. You were hesitant but they convinced you that’d it be fun.

"We’ll go to the carnival and eat seafood for lunch? Okay? I promise!” Jihoon swore.

Seongwoo fell asleep on the drive there but was energised and ready to take on some rides at the fair which was pretty crowded considering it was still holiday time. He looked at Jaewhan and back at the rides.

“Yes, hyung?"

"Oh…nothing."

He wasn’t sure if he was ready for more of the vocalist’s strange psychotic laughter. He stepped back to admire you and Woojin’s banter as the two of you posed for 'couple’ photos, it was amusing.

"Come on! I want to go to the haunted house!” Jaewhan insisted, skipping excitedly in that direction.

Seongwoo wanted to punch him in his perfect face. Did he really think he could take it?

“Y/N, I will protect you!” Woojin said bravely.

“Let’s go!” “Don’t forget about me! I’m a black belt!” Jihoon whined, linking your other arm his.

Seongwoo groaned, he felt Jaewhan wrap his arms around him even as they lined up to get inside.

…

“That was…amazing!” You declared as you ventured out of the haunted house. Jaewhan was the first to get scared by a ghost, he yelled (psychoticlaughter) and clung onto Seongwoo tightly.

“I really, genuinely, wholly hope I never have to do that again,” Seongwoo muttered, 'that’ was not walking through the haunted house but 'that’ was being forced to hug a screaming Jaewhan. Jihoon and Woojin did freak out quite a bit as they adventured through but emerged unscathed emotionally and physically.

“I think I want to work as a scarer,” Jaewhan announced, seemingly positive about his newly chosen career path.

The others blinked at him. You had to restrain Seongwoo from punching his friend.

…

You were finishing off the ice cream that Jihoon had bought for you just as the car pulled up outside the Wanna One house.

The ice cream was just for you.

Not for the entire group.

It made you feel bad so you attempted to share some with each boy but Jihoon had complained, “Y/N! Don’t waste my love for you on them.” and sulked.

You were amazed by how clean and tidy the house was, it was also very prettily decorated.

“Y/N!"

You spun round at the sound of Daniel calling your name. He hugged you then placed a tender kiss to on your lips. "Ooh, nice ice cream. You pick good flavours."

"Oh! Jihoon bought this cone for me. You have to ask him what it is, it’s very good!” At your statement, you swore that Daniel’s jaw clenched and his smile faded sightly, he looked away from you to glance at someone over your shoulder.

“Oh. That’s so nice of him, stop freeloading off others babe. What other flavours did he buy for his hyungs?"

"Uh… he only bought one for me…” you added in a small voice, licking off the last bit. Daniel’s eyes darkened, for two complete different reasons and you weren’t sure if you wanted to find out.

Luckily, Jisung called everyone to eat so you managed quickly escape that sticky situation.

The next few days passed by in a blur, you were happy to have your roommates back but that also served as a constant reminder that school was starting soon. You were out of contact with the boys for a bit as you caught up on school work but Woojin and Jihoon were the first to text you to ask you out for coffee. They said Daniel had recommended it and it would be nice if you could try it with them. You asked about your boyfriend and the rest of your friends, they replied by saying that all was well, they were busy but happy and well rested.

I’ll buy them dinner tonight, they’re working so hard and they’re such good friends of mine, you thought.

“Y/N unnie, where are you going?” one of of your younger roommates asked.

“Ahh, I’m going to see some friends of mine.” You didn’t dwell on the details.

“Is it your idol friends?"

You pursed your lips and glared at her.

"Ahh, unnie likes her idol friends more than us now,” your other flat mate added in a joking manner.

“Introduce me to them! I need a boyfriend!"

They let you go eventually and you rolled your eyes.

Actually, my dongsaengs would be a nice fit for Jihoon and Woojin. How sweet, I should ask them.

You broke the question as the three of you sipped on various coffees. Jihoon said he didn’t mind, making a new friend was good anyways. Woojin was a bit more hesitant and shy, his awkwardness was definitely more prominent. "I-I-I-I mean…I g-guess? Management doesn’t really bother us with it now. For now…uh…uh…maybe. It’s good to make new friends right?"

You laughed and reached over to squish his adorable, reddening cheeks. Woojin covered his face with his hands in embarrassment.

None of you noticed pictures being taken and uploaded on fancafes.

Daniel was pissed to say the least when he saw the photos of you and his dongsaengs out at a cafe, especially the one with you being all sweet and tender to Woojin. He did clear the air of confusion by mentioning that 'Y/N is they’re good friend and like a big sister to them. Don’t be mean to her or to Woojin and Jihoon.'

Why wouldn’t you tell him you were free? Did you not want to see him? Why would she go out with them and not me? He wondered.

He decided to text you.

Daniel: hi babe, had to clear some confusion abt pics of u and the boys? where are you? Let’s go get dinner tgt. 😊

Y/N: so sorry abt those!! And yes, I’m treating all of you to dinner today, pizza is on its way. I’m otw back to the house with Woojin and Jihoon.

"Daniel hyung! Y/N noona sent us pizza? Is it?” Guanlin yelled. Daniel shouted his response and there were cheers from the boys. He couldn’t bring himself to be happy, as much as he knew you wouldn’t do anything with his dongsaengs, he wasn’t sure why you wouldn’t want to hang out with him. It was very strange you were growing so close to those two.

Whatever. Just go downstairs and eat.

“Yay! Thank you Y/N!” Daehwi exclaimed, rushing over to hug you the second you were through the front door.

“Yah! Manners, Daehwi!” Minhyun called out.

You dismissed the lack of formalities and hugged Daehwi anyways. It brought a smile to your face to see how happy your friends were, beaming, skin glowing and stuffing their faces with pizza. You sat down beside Daniel and grinned at him. He fed you a slice of your favourite immediately, smiling cheekily.

“Aww…” Guanlin started taking notes, he better if he wanted to ( steal ) win over Jihoon’s heart from Jinyoung. He also took pictures to upload to the official social medias.

The night was off to a good start and you hoped it would end on a high note but Daniel could only keep his emotions bottled up for so long.

You received an untimely call from Daniel when you and your roommates were heading out to meet Woojin and Jihoon. They were shrieking excitedly but sweating with anxiety.

“Hello? Daniel?"

"Hi Y/N! Are you available today? Let’s go out!” He sounded so sweet and excited you’d hate to turn him down.

“Uh, sorry babe. I’m-I’m going out with my roommates today,” you said apologetically. Technically, it wasn’t a lie and you were leaving as soon as they had acquainted.

“Oh, it’s okay! I’ll call you before you sleep tonight, okay? See you later babe, have fun!"

"Bye, love you."

I can surprise him with his favourite coffee later! I’m sure he’s at the studio. He’ll be so delighted!

Your roommates fiddled nervously, repeatedly asking you if they looked presentable. There wasn’t much time anyways, you called a taxi and it sped off to that coffee house that Daniel loved.

…

Your roommates excused themselves before they had even take one step into the cafe and dashed to the bathroom.

What a pain.

You went over and sat with Woojin and Jihoon who were both occupied with their phones. "Hey,” you started.

They smiled in response, not offering any other words. It appeared that they were anxious too, Woojin was just rearranging the apps on his phone by colour. Eventually, you got them to stop and actually communicate.

“Noona…I’m nervous,” Woojin confessed, grabbing your hands. “Are my hands cold?"

"No! Noona,” Jihoon smacked Woojin’s hands anyway from yours and pressed one to his face. “Is my skin smooth enough? I did a face mask yesterday in preparation."

You sighed, giggling at their cuteness, you pinched their cheeks. "Ahh, both of you are sooo handsome! I’ll be back.” You turned around and your jaw dropped.

Daniel stood in the line to order. But his face had a look that you would never forget, he was hurt, he looked so betrayed.

Your roommates emerged, whispering and laughing but stopped when they saw the scene. Jihoon still waved to them.

“Dan-”

Daniel didn’t utter a word, he didn’t even bother to pay for his order. He dropped his head, burning bright red and stormed out of the shop.

You knew where he was going, and he would need time to calm down so you hurriedly paid for his drink and dashed out after him. He was long gone by the time you were on the street but you ran in the direction of the YMC branch. He would be in his workroom.

You heard him before you even took a step into that corridor. He was crying and yelling some incoherent words to someone.

Seongwoo?

Jisung?

You waited outside and ducked out of view when they came out of the room. It wasn’t clear who it was but you entered the room anyways.

“Daniel…oppa."

"Go away! I don’t want to see you right now!” He managed to shout despite his tears.

“Yah, I’m not leaving until you’re okay. What did I do?” You took a seat next to him, rubbing his back soothingly. He didn’t fight you off yet didn’t seem to welcome your touch either.

“Why would you do that? How could you betray me?”

“I’m sorry I didn’t spend much time with you."

"Yah! I know you like either of them. Who is it? Jihoon? Or Woojin?"

You had to bite your tongue to stop yourself from laughing. Seriously? You wouldn’t go for someone who was like your younger brother. "Daniel, I don’t want any of them. They’re my brothers, you’re my boyfriend. Don’t think like that. The three of us just click very well and they treat me like their older sister. Why would you think like that?” you questioned.

Daniel wiped his face free of tears before continuing. “Why else would you lie to me when I called you?"

He had a point.

"Ahh, I did go out with my roommates. In fact, I was trying to play matchmaker for those two. Two of my roommates needed boyfriends, two of my younger brothers needed girlfriends. How could I not?” You responded. “Oppa, don’t cry anymore. I’m all yours.” You pressed a tissue gently to his delicate face. “Wow. So handsome, and all mine."

Daniel tackled you into the warmest hug you had ever gotten. "I’m sorry Y/N, I’m sorryimsorryimsorry."

"Hey, it’s okay. Don’t apologise, it’s just how you feel. I’m glad you let me know…even if you did dampen my shirt. Wait! I haven’t finished drying your tears.” Your hands cupped his face, wiping it clean with a fresh, soft and sweet-smelling wet tissue. “Oh my god, my boyfriend is so good-looking. God bless.”

Daniel finally cracked a smile and kissed you on the lips. “I’m sorry I was being petty and insecure,” he apologised but you clamped a hand over his mouth. “I can’t hear that! Stop apologising! Just remember that I’m your girlfriend no matter what. Now that Jihoon and Woojin are busy with their new friends, you have me all the time. All day. All night,” you affirmed.

“In that case, let me help you play matchmaker for them. Okay?"

"Is that all you want to do?” ( he wants to do you ) you teased. “It seems like everything revolves around the boys."

"Yah! Okay, okay, we’ll do something you like."

"Nah. Even if it’s the weirdest, dumbest thing. I’m happy doing it with you."

"You know that’s one of the reasons I love you right?"

"I know, you know.” ( team deserved better )

The Gloaming

BACKGROUND:

lana grew up in a big house in albany, NY. i picture it w dark oak floors n lots of light furniture. albums framed on walls. mayb some rolling stone covers too frm way bk when of the bands her dad’s label signed. kind of like... a rock star palace w no evidence of children at all. i think i described it best in one of lana’s self paras once when i said the garden ws “as big as it was unloved”

lana pretty much... grew up around figures like this throughout childhood. rly troubled characters who wld kind of... b extremely volatile n destructive abt their troubles. the jameson house was kind of an open one as welcoming clients went n a lot of parties took place there. a lot of the time musicians wld b snorting lines in the kitchen when she wnted to grab a bowl of cereal fr breakfast n it was just. a very strange environment fr a child to grow up in

her parents always kind of jst... didn’t like her much. her older brother caleb ws unplanned bt they sort of welcomed the surprise more bt... quickly realised they weren’t cut out fr parenthood n then when lana came as another surprise 3 yrs later they didn’t even try to hide their resentment abt the situation. her mum ws actually booked in to have an abortion bt cldnt go through with it at the last minute. once when lana asked her why shes so cold towards her she jst turned her head frm her dresser, looked at her, told her abt this n said “idk why i didn’t go”. lana didn’t kno wht to say to tht so she jst left her room n closed the door

(dissociation tw) bc of this growing up lana adopted this weird like.... she didn’t rly kno what it ws bt it ws a delusion of sorts where she thought she ws a ghost. she’d jst sort of... drift around the halls w noone acknowledging her n sometimes she ws jst convinced she wsnt actually there or they cldnt see her n she ws jst haunting the house frm a previous family

SO when caleb n tommy announced tht they’d signed up to the army lana ws understandably........ completely blindsided. she ws rly upset tht they were leaving bt she tried not to b mad at them n made them promise theyd b safe n back as soon as possible. she even asked if they cld somehow take her w them n they were jst like :/ it doesn’t work that way luv x

ANYWAY whew tht rly.... took a dark turn there..... chuckles nervously at hw sad lana’s life is bt it’s fine it’s all fINE!!!!!!! ok. so on a mre lighthearted note the jameson family r pretty well off n bc of her relation to such a big music industry figure she’s hung out w a fair few relatively high rep ppl thru her teens. mostly kids of celebrities n stuff like tht. she amassed kind of an instagram following mainly fr her style (v penny lane-esque in some aspects aka lots of fur cuff trimmed jackets bt then also jst…. a wild combination of everything honestly. pastel faux fur coats, seventies style platforms, flame red cowboy boots, pink fishnet tights n glitter used like highlight Everywhere) n bc she’s undeniably very pretty

this obviously?? made her spiral a lot. she was already a girl tht loved sex (she’d only rly done foreplay before tho) but since her trauma it got…. completely out of hand. it got to a point where she couldnt rly go 2 days without it, probably not even 1. her lowest point has probably been scrolling thru craiglist for anonymous encounters n meeting up w strangers on there fr a quick fuck jst for the thrill even tho it’s insanely dangerous n she cld wind up getting herself killed. it’s v clear at this point tht she has a sex addiction whether she’s ever admitted it or not. it kind of... almost mingled w tht same feeling she used to get when she ws younger of being a ghost?? like she jst. only rly feels Real when she’s being touched

(violence tw) a mre recent point of history is her involvement w danny nielsen (an evil npc of mine who is possibly the antichrist??? pending investigation). he attended lockwood n lived in a house w a group of other guys. it wsn’t a registered frat bt he essentially...ran it like one it ws kind of a weird set-up where he ws the King Of The Roost. essentially he found out tht lana n zeke van doren (full name it’s official business Babey) slept together n he ended up beating him to near death in front of her bc his pride ws rly bruised since they were meant to be dating (if u can call it tht bc danny’s idea of dating is very Warped). danny gt arrested n the trial is approaching n it’s jst....a whole intense mess...... n he’s quite evil. she hs a restraining order against him while he’s out on bail b4 the trial n he got suspended frm lockwood n it ws jst. a whole dramatic thing....tht ws prob heard abt around campus
