Sasuke Uchiha : It’s not only been a week since you left for your secret mission. It was so secret that only you and Tsunade knew when you’d probably come back. Sasuke didn’t like this passion. He was careful not to tell you, but he went to see Tsunade and insisted at considerable length. Justifying himself by saying that he was your fiancé and that he had the right to be kept informed. She didn't accede to his request and he left in a rage. Though as he was blowing off some steam at the training grounds, trying to release all the tension he felt knowing you were out of his protective zone, he felt your chakra. He raised his head, looking around and suddenly he saw you. A huge weight lifted from his heart and he made his way towards you. You turned around sensing him as well. When you locked eyes you couldn’t help but run to hug him. At first he didn’t move nor said anything though after a moment to compose himself he stroked gently your hair saying “I’m glad you’re back”

Naruto Uzumaki : He doesn’t hold back when he sees you again. It could be after a month, a week or a day he can’t help but spread his feelings out in the open “Y/n ?!? Dattebayo ! Is that you ?!?” he screamed from the other side of the street, rushing towards you. His body collided with you as he effortlessly lifted you from the floor, and started twirling again and again. His eyes shined bright as he was looking at you. Giggles and genuine laughs escaping his lips as he hugged you tighter. He was so happy to be with you again - he forgot literally about how much he craved a huge bowl of ramen. He just wanted to spend some time with you and recharge his batteries with the person he loved the most.

Yamato : He didn’t really like it when you were called without him on a mission. Though he knew damn well that you were a fierce and resilient kunoichi. So instead of being stressed all day he decided to prepare your return. So that he’ll be able to celebrate it with you if he wasn’t himself called for a mission. He prepared a whole schedule for that day. Helping you take a nice and soothing bath, then help you prepare for the night, go on a date, and give you a good massage - as much as he could - once you were back in your shared home. Each time you leave like this makes him discover a new depth of his love for you. Hopefully he knew when you were going to be back home. So when the day came he prepared a nice outfit for you and the most important, a warm bubble bath with scented candles. Though when he saw you coming home he knew he’d had to reschedule the date for the day after. He helped you in the bath and almost chocked when you asked if he could join you “O-of c-course Princess. Here l-let me just” he undressed and sat behind you in the bath, his cheeks tinted with a rosy colour. As he held you close he couldn’t help but marvel at how soft and warm you were. He ended up being the one falling asleep first in the bath.

Rock Lee : Lee doesn't know how to measure out. He doesn't do it in everyday life, so with you ! His one and only ! The apple of his eye ! He's absolutely incapable of it. You were only gone for the day, only a few hours, but it already seemed too much for him because when he saw you arrive he pounced on you. Almost tackling you to the ground. This time you took the initiative and inked your feet so as not to end up on the ground like when you offered him the flowers "Y/nnnnn ! My plum ! My darling ! My love ! You look even more refreshed than this morning ! Even more combative ! Your strength shines through with every step you take..." he ranted for a long moment before calming down and taking you gently in his arms. He nuzzled his cheek gently against your shoulder, as you played with his ebony hair making him purr like a cat. So cute !

Sai : He didn't know he could miss someone so much. He thought he was ready for any situation thanks to his root training, but no. His heart clenched in his chest as he watched you pass through the Konohagakure gate, after 5 very long months. He saw your friends hug you, and before he knew what he was doing, he was running towards you. His arms encircled your waist and pulled you tight against him. You could feel that he was trembling as he held you under the strong emotions running through him - your friends stepped aside to give you some privacy. You gently rubbed his back to calm the overwhelming feeling he was experiencing, helping him to take a long breath "I can't... I'm so happy to have you back. It's so strange" ( "it's so strange" as in to be this happy ) he murmured the last part with uncertainty in his voice. Now all he wanted was to be able to cuddle with you while he drifted off to sleep.

Sasori : You’ve missed him so much while you were on your mission, but you knew things weren’t going to happen the way you always dream they will. When you entered your shared place he didn’t even acknowledge your presence. His face still turned towards what he was crafting. Even if you know he wasn’t really vocal on his feelings it still hurt a bit. But as you were about to go mind your own business you heard his groggy voice behind you "I hated waiting for you to come back" And just this brought a huge smile on your face. You walked back towards him and kissed the top of his hair. A Sweet and gentle smile appeared on his lips as he softened slightly, feeling his heart swell with love. Maybe it was time to take a little break and lie in bed with you… maybe you could tell him about your mission. 

Shikamaru Nara : Usually very calm and relaxed, Shikamaru couldn't help the trembling of his knee or the way his foot was bouncing on the ground. After 2 months you were finally back and he just missed you so much. He couldn't even catch a break and take a nap. He had to keep himself busy with work until he wore himself out and fell down from exhaustion. Today you were coming back and he couldn't stop being so excited to be with you again. When he saw you standing there he thought first he’d manage to wait for you to greet your friends first and let you walk up to him. But he couldn’t, his legs took long strides, with one arm he pushed Naruto and pulled you against his chest. You lifted your head up and looked behind you to see who it was, even though you had an idea when you heard his voice "Even when you just returned, you can't help but be troublesome, woman" You quirked an eyebrow at him making him swallow hard "I'm o-only joking" After all you always knew how to trouble him.  

Gaara : From the moment you left, he was worried and concerned about you. He was always thinking that the worst could happen. At night he usually slept very badly when you weren't there. Knowing that you were far away, and on a mission on top, was enough to keep him up at night. He wanted to be informed of your whereabouts but was always afraid you'd take it as a lack of trust. So he waited. And then one day you came back as beautiful and radiant as the day you left. He, usually so reserved, even in the privacy of your house, rushed over to you and engulfed you in a bone crushing hug. His eyes widened and he quickly stepped back to check for any wounds. Then, once satisfied as he saw nothing, he took you back into his arms. Blushing deeply at his public display of affection. He hid his flushed face against your neck, taking the opportunity to place a few kisses and whisper "I'm so glad you're safe"

Utakata : He was quietly doing his laundry by a river when he felt a presence behind him. He was immediately suspicious, tensing slightly at the thought of anyone coming near your shared house. His sharp ear listened to every sound. And then suddenly he felt arms grab him from behind. He quickly gripped them and pinned the person to the ground. When he heard you giggles as you met his belligerent gaze, his eyes widened. He froze an instant, his hair dangling above your face,  and you took the opportunity to steal him a kiss. He blushed furiously and released his strong hold on you. A small smile appeared on his face as his eyes swept across your face. He saw a small scratch and instinctively ran his finger over it. A hint of protectiveness rose in him at the thought that someone might have hurt you. He got up from you and helped you to your feet, as calm as ever. There was so much he wanted to do, to take you in his arms, to kiss you tenderly, to talk to you, to listen to you talk, but all he could do was stand there frozen. You understood his internal struggle and took him in a gentle embrace, which he was grateful for. He reciprocated your affection and left a long kiss on your hairline "I've longed for you my Love"

Iruka Umino : It has been almost 3 months since you left on your mission. As he was closing his classroom he wondered, like everyday if tonight you’d be back. but as he neared the gate of the school he saw a figure he recognised. When your eyes locked he feels tears well up in his. He rubbed his eyes as he ran towards you and took you in a oh so gentle embrace mirroring the depth of his love for you. His body shook slightly as he held you with all his strength. He really missed you a lot, and he felt so sad when at night he couldn't cuddle up with you. His voice was really quiet when he said “Can I be the little spoon tonight ?” He looked down at you and see you nodding at him, granting him something he craved since so long he stammered “T-thank you, t-thank you so m-much”

Tobirama Senju : When you finally came back from your 5-month long mission, you thought your husband would at least show you some excitement or at least some happiness to have you back. You knew how he was and tried not to give much importance to it. Though when you said that you missed him you only heard him growl from his office. “Okay…” you thought. You saw him slightly turn around and quickly check out for any noticeable injury you may have got. When he saw nothing he turned back on his paper. Frustrated, you told him that you were going to take a nap. He could sense the sadness in your voice and he just wanted to slap himself for this. So he waited until he was sure you were fast asleep and he joined you. He lied behind you and pulled you against his body, breathing in your scent “I hope you know damn well that if I proposed to you it’s because I care about you. I love you like crazy. Even if I’m too much of a dumbass to show it to you the way you’d like me too” He held you a lighter tighter hoping that even if you were asleep your subconsciousness would catch a hint of his love for you. But little did he know that you were widely awake and widely smiling, eager for the perfect moment to come to tease him with that.

Deidara : The only thing he was able to think about while you were away was you. when you came back you saw lots and lots of clay statues in your image. it took your breath away. there were at least a dozen "Welcome back my Muse ! Be here at home !" he advanced towards you, eager to embrace you. When he pulled back he explained to you what he had decided to do with all these statues. They'll be used in a major Akatsuki act. He couldn't help but sneer, "The explosion of an entire village! They've been made to believe in statues of a goddess to decorate the village, but he can't be bothered to-" he stopped suddenly and crashed his lips against yours. In the end, he preferred to spend time with you, just the two of you, and not talk about the missions that were coming up.

Kakashi Hatake :  You have just returned home. You decided to put your clothes in the washing machine and take a quick shower before going to see Kakashi. You wanted to surprise him with your return, invite him to a date and maybe end the evening at his place. Though it looked like it wasn't going to be quite like that. You heard a knock on your door when you opened it and saw a smirking - well you guessed - Kakashi behind it. He entered your apartment and closed the door behind him, still facing you. He lowered his mask and kissed the top of your head sweetly. You'd been together long enough for him to feel perfectly at ease with you. When you explained that he could go and get something to nibble on while you went to take a shower before probably going out to eat with him later. He let you walk alone towards the bathroom. He sighed softly, running his fingers through his hair as he stood up. He knocked gently on the bathroom door and when you gave him permission to enter he asked "What do you say we start with the shower and then go eat mmh ? Let me relax your muscles from the stress of your mission" And that's what you did. You let him relax you as he held you against the shower wall.

Minato Namikaze : It had been a month since he'd last walked the Konohagakure pavement while he was on his mission. Suddenly he stumbled onto you turning the corner of an adjacent street. He accelerated, calling out your name. When you turned around, you saw your boyfriend coming towards you at the speed of light. As his body made contact with yours, he instinctively pulled you against him. He wanted to do so many things all at once, hugging you, kissing you, touching you… sweeping you off your feet and taking you home “I missed you dearly Y/n. Please can we go home” he said as his lips were hovering over your neck. Gosh he just wanted to suck a hickey there. When you nodded eagerly he took you bridal style and jumped on a roof before taking you home just like he craved all that time. He was going to show you just how much he missed you… All. Damn. Night.

Itachi Uchiha : As he safely comes back after his 2 month-long mission he just wants one thing, you. Being apart all this time, not being able to intertwine with your body, it wore him out more than the mission in itself. When he sees you again he can’t help but feel himself twitch in his brief. Though despite his growing need he doesn’t want to impose himself on you. He only arrived 5 minutes ago and he doesn’t want to seem rude nor only interested in you for your body. Even if at the moment it was what he craved the most. As you felt him hard against you, you couldn’t help but smile knowing how much he was able to refrain his needs. Though it didn’t mean you agreed with that. So you rolled your hips against his and he gasped, his eyes widening “I- hhh… thank you. I’m going to take good care of you”

He pretended to be surprised when you came home that night. But his joy and delight were real when he saw you. He took you in a possessive hug. His arms wrapped around your waist as he pulled you against his chest. And took a deep breath of your perfume against your neck. Swim Day

Genma Shiranui x NarutoMotherFigure!Reader

Synopsis: It was unbearably hot in Konoha, and with you having a day off, you decided to take Naruto to the pool.

"Mama. Are we going to the pool today?" Naruto's muffled words filled the air as you tugged the swim shirt onto him. His head popped out at the top, blonde hair falling in his face as he looked at you with wide eyes. He needed a haircut, but that would be an adventure for another day. "Ya, bud. It's hot out, and I have the day off. Figured today would be a good day for swimming!"

His eyes widened further as he cheered excitedly at the prospect of playing with his new swim toys. Ever since he was a baby, he had loved the water. Now, almost five and a half years later, his love for the water only seemed to grow stronger. He began to go on and on about the toys he was going to bring and all the friends he was going to make. You simply hummed at him before slathering the sunscreen on his exposed skin. Your heart was hopeful for that last part, the kids at first would want to play with him, but their parents would always shy them away. It was only a matter of time before the kids avoided him altogether.

You were just hoping today wasn't that day.

"Is Genma coming today, mama?"

Your eyebrows shot up at that as you maneuvered his head to spread sunscreen across his pale face. "I think Genma is busy today, baby" He huffed at that, having grown quite fond of your boyfriend over the last year and a half. "What's he doing?"

"I'm pretty sure he's still on a mission. You know he'd love to join if he was available" Your reassurance made him nod up at you; Genma spent most of his time with the two of you, only being away when missions required him to be. You shoved the floaties onto his arms as he talked adamantly about how much he missed Genma. It made you wonder if he loved him more than he loved you—the person who raised him. A smile crept onto your lips at that thought, it was nice having another person around to help out, and it was 10x easier when Naruto liked them back.

"There!" You exclaimed before sitting back in the kitchen chair. Naruto's arms were raised slightly thanks to the floaties, and his whole body was covered in sun-protecting material. He looked adorable, "Hang on, stay there. I want to get the camera!" You raced towards the bedroom, knowing that Naruto would grow restless the longer you took, and you would surely miss your opportunity for a picture of him. When you returned to the kitchen, you found him on the counter with a cookie in his mouth. Your head cocked to the side as you took him in. "How did you get up there, and where did you even get that cookie?" Your arm wrapped around him, hauling him off the counter before maneuvering him to get a picture.

"Genma gave it to me," He mumbled with his mouth full, and you would have scolded him, but the sound of Genmas name stopped you. The door to the bathroom opened all of a sudden, causing you to jump in your spot, "Jesus, Gen!" Genma laughed at you before walking over to greet you properly. "My mission ended early. Figured I'd come to check in on you two-"

"And give my kid sugar…."

He shot a sheepish smile before pressing his lips against yours; Naruto let out a sound of disgust making you roll your eyes at his childishness. "You're putting him to bed tonight, then." You stated firmly before once more turning to Naruto with your camera raised. "Oh my gods, he's so cute," you whined quietly as you dropped down to get a better angle of him. Naruto looked at you with wide eyes as you snapped photos of him, this wasn't new, but it confused him every time. You, on the other hand, were dying from how sweet and innocent he looked. Not only was he adorable in his swim attire, but the cookie crumbs all over his face added to the cuteness.

Genma leaned against the counter, snacking on his own cookie that he left there. After a few minutes of you gushing over the young child, he grew restless. "Mom, can we go to the pool now?!" You giggled at him before putting the camera on the counter and grabbing the half-eaten cookie from Genmas fingers. "Of course. Are you joining us, Gen?"

He bit back a smile as you practically inhaled the other half of the cookie, "Yeah. Naruto already asked me. I think I left a swimsuit in your room" You nodded at that before leaning against the counter beside him, "Better hurry then. You know how he gets-"

"Mommy, come on, I'm ready to goooo" Naruto whined as if on cue, causing you to shove Genma toward your room. "Go get changed! I'll gather his toys."

Genma hollered out that he'd be ready in a few minutes, leaving you and a very antsy Naruto alone in the kitchen. You smiled down at him before leaning down to wipe the crumbs off of his face and hands. "You and your cookies…" you muttered cheekily as you pinched his cheek. He tried swatting you away but stopped once you kissed his forehead.

"Let's go get your toys gathered up, kiddo."

𓆃 It's a weird balance of effort, given that Genma and Anko aren't really ones to take themselves too seriously. It can make for a really weird friendship that's laid back and welcoming, but also absolutely infuriating.

Returning home after long missions was always nice. Especially when the mission itself hadn’t been particularly difficult; but there was a tension lingering throughout your team that you couldn’t place, which made time feel as if it was crawling by as you traveled. To be back in the village under cover of darkness, with nobody around to welcome you back or ask questions was particularly nice this time around. Aoba letting you know that he’d deliver the report to the Hokage in the morning, since nothing eventful enough had occurred to warrant anybody getting out of bed to receive the report, was even better.

“Are you talking about Raido needing medical attention?”

“Needing your attention, more like.”

“Considering I’m a medic and that’s who usually provides medical attention, nothing seems weird about that.” You were so close to hitting him for being so…what was his deal anyway? This was not normal for your usually relaxed friend, especially where his friends were concerned. Unless this was about the fact that you two were more than just friends, but there wasn’t a label there for him to get snippy about. But for him to be so upset about Raido’s proximity meant only one thing. “Genma, are you jealous?”

“Wha-no! I just think people should back off of what’s mine.” That has you turning to face him properly, since this was a game that you were not playing with him tonight. Not when he was the one who wanted to “keep things easy” by keeping labels and the like out of the conversation. “What?”

“Since when did we decide on a label? I thought this was just friends having fun?”

He doesn’t have an answer to that, but you give him credit for trying to sputter out a response before you give up and kiss him. “If you wanted exclusivity, you only needed to ask.”

“Yeah?” he mumbles against your lips, grinning at the gasp you let out when he bites your bottom lip. “You wanna be mine?”

You nod, desperate for him to make some kind of move now that he’d gotten you all worked up. Now for a man who always has his hands in his pockets, Kakashi sure does love holding your hand.

But he’s def linking your fingers if it’s at an event where he knows he won’t see the kids.

Genma Shiranui x Reader

Synopsis: You were the apple of Genma's eye and the butterflies in his stomach.

Everything about you screamed sweet. The way your eyes twinkled when you saw a baby. The way your nose would crinkle as the flower merchant gave you a tulip because it ‘matched your dress.’ The way you smiled at him…

He was in too deep, and he didn't know how to handle all of the love he felt for you.

It was springtime in Konoha, and you became rather happy-go-lucky. But it wasn't the season making you so cheery. It was him. 

Genma paused as he took in how your pink dress billowed at your knees. The merchant was correct. The tulip did indeed match your dress. He opened his mouth to comment on how pretty you looked, but your squeal cut him off. An enormous breeze rushed through, causing your dress to fly up. Your free hand went to one side of the skirt, yanking it down as you prayed for the wind to stop. Genma was beside you rather swiftly, his hand moving to pull the other side down for you. “Thank you,” you giggled sheepishly. “If I had known it would have been breezy, I wouldn't have worn this dress!”

Genma nodded at that, but he didn't mind.

You locked eyes with him before they dropped to his lips. His senbon was missing, something that used to happen rarely. Now that the two of you were dating, he found it quite troublesome to kiss you with it in. His hands moved towards your waist as he pulled you closer to him, “God, I love you,” he whispered before kissing your cheek. You cocked your head, trying to chase his lips with your cheek. One kiss was never enough for either of you. 

He chuckled against your rapidly warming skin. He loved how flustered he could make you with simple actions. “You want more kisses?” You shot him a look but didn't say anything as you pouted at him. Deciding to give you what you wanted (like always), he dove back down to pepper kisses against your warm skin. How you melted into his embrace caused his heart to soar, but it wasn't enough. He had to hear you laugh.

His life depended on it.

Genma began moving his fingers on your waist, causing you to giggle. Soon, that sweet giggling turned into a burst of vicious laughter. He continued peppering kisses on your face as you squirmed in his grasp. It wasn’t always a pretty or sweet sound, but it was you.

And that was more than enough. 

“Okay! OKAY!!! UNCLE UNCLE!!!” You screamed out as you grew breathless from the laughing and attack of kisses. Genma pulled back with an affectionate smirk before pressing a final kiss to your lips, causing you to melt into his embrace again. When he pulled away, he noticed you had dropped your flower. “You dropped your flower… Let me get you another one.”

“Oh, Gen, that's okay!” you stated as you bent down to grab the ruined flower, but when you stood up, he was already heading toward the flower stand. “Gen!!” you called out as you stepped towards him, but something caught your eye.

Genma thanked the flower merchant as he paid for the tulip. He went to pocket his wallet when his eyes landed on your form. Your eyes were wide and your mouth was dropped as you took in the sight before you.

“Is this cotton candy? I haven't had cotton candy since I was 15!”

The merchant glanced your way, not amused by your excitement. You bit your lip, contemplating if you wanted to spend the money on something so childish. “Is this cotton candy? We used to eat this after every training session, right?” Genma asked as he looked over your shoulder at the fluffy candy. You nodded happily, delighted that he remembered such a thing. You opened your mouth to order, but Genma was quicker than you.

“We’ll take two bags of cotton candy, please,” Genma stated as he handed you the tulip. The lady grabbed two bags and gave them to you. You thanked her before shifting the items to your other arm so you could grab money from your purse. Genma grabbed your wrist, stopping your actions as he passed the money in his other hand to the merchant. He shot a smile her way before lacing his fingers with yours. The two of you began to stroll toward the park, but you were still slightly upset that he was spending so much on you. “Genma, you didn't have to buy me that! The flower was more than enough-” 

“Does it make you happy?”

“What?”

“What I got you, do they make you happy?”

You bit your lip at that; they did make you happy. He pulled you into his side, silencing your concerns before they erupted to the surface once more. “I think you make me happier than anything else,” you whispered sheepishly, eyes glancing every way to avoid his loving gaze. He pressed a kiss to your forehead but didn't add anything else to the conversation, rather enjoying the quiet moments between you the most—the moments where he could quietly drown in your presence.

The sight of the tree caused you to sigh dreamily. It was the best area of the park to watch the sunset, and it would be the place where the two of you would be sitting, cuddling, talking, and kissing as the space around you grew darker and darker. You let your eyes travel up the tree, looking carefully for something unique. A smile ghosted your lips as you let go of Genma’s hand and approached it. You traced the heart carved into the wood; your and Gemna's initials lay within it. “We were insufferable. Poor Guy,” you joked. Genma didn't say anything, only smiled at the memories between you. He didn't know how it was possible, but his love for you seemed to grow more and more every day. 

You turned back to Genma with a loving smile.

“Why do you take such good care of me?” 

His eyebrows furrowed, but his gaze never faltered. How could he possibly tell you how much he loved you? He would give you the sun and stars if you asked for them. He’d simultaneously kill and die for you. He would do anything, be anything, for you.

Just so he can see your heavenly smile.

He cocked his head, motioning for you to come back to him. Your cheeks flushed as you made your way toward him. “Why do I take good care of my baby?” he stated, wanting to ensure he heard your question correctly. You nodded as Genma embraced you, arm wrapping tightly around you as his other cupped your cheek. “Because you are the apple of my eye and the butterflies in my stomach. You are everything I love about this world. You are my everything.”

“Gen,” you sighed, ready to interject, but he silenced you with a firm kiss, causing you to lean into him for support. Money didn't mean anything to him. Nothing meant anything to him when it came to you. 'You are the one that taught me to love in this cruel world,' He thought as he deepened the kiss, fingers digging into your waist as the thumb of his other hand sweetly caressed your cheek. Nothing mattered. The only thing that mattered was that you would be by his side for the rest of his life.

And he'd do anything to ensure that stayed true.

We are all pretty and beautiful in our own ways, and nobody should be able to let you forget that. With that in mind, hope you enjoy reading this!

INSECURITIES occur in every shape, way, and form in almost everybody walking on the planet. Relationships are one of the ways that insecurities come up and prevail the most. At least, that was the case for you. It has been a year since the night that Shiranui Genma confessed to you with a bouquet of flowers, a candlelit picnic, and a shiny night sky. That night was the most romantic night you have ever experienced, but it also began the string of hatred that has followed behind you ever since.

Day by day, just walking in the village was enough to trigger your emotions because of the looks you get. Women younger and older than you judged you for being with the one and only Shiranui Genma, who was notorious for going out with half of the village’s population. When it comes to looks, he takes the gold star, and when it comes to romantic gestures, he takes the whole cake. You, on the other hand, did not feel like you could step up to the level of every girl he has ever gone out with, especially since people continued to look at you differently.

Frankly, you wondered what kept you in the spotlight in Genma’s eyes. When you were walking in the village gaining those staring eyes, you couldn’t understand what exactly Genma saw in you. You were just an average girl in your own eyes, and to some of those other girls, you were a little less.

“Hey, hon, are you ready for—”

Currently, you are sitting in front of the big floor mirror in your shared bedroom, staring at your reflection. As you prodded at your lips, eyes, nose, and cheeks, you were completely oblivious to the gentle and calming tone of Genma’s voice entering the room and cutting himself off halfway through his sentence. He stood at the door frame, watching as you viewed yourself in the mirror. “Y/N?” Genma called out to you, knocking lightly on the wall.

You snapped out of the craze you were in and turned your torso to look at the source of the knocking. His hazel eyes bore into your own E/C orbs, and it was clear that he knew something was wrong. “Is… there a reason why you’re sitting on the cold, hardwood floor, staring at the mirror?” Genma questioned with his arms crossed over his chest.

“Um… I—I was making sure there was no lint in my hair,” you muttered, immediately getting off of the floor, “It must have blown right off by the fan.”

A nervous giggle escaped your mouth as you began to avoid eyeing Genma. The highly experienced jonin wasn’t pleased with the answer you gave him, so he walked up to you. The toothpick stuck in between his lips shot out of his mouth and directly into the trashcan next to the mirror. You were caught off guard by the sudden action, but the hands that pressed onto your shoulders were enough to bring your focus back on Genma. Now, the eye contact was inevitable, and you can clearly see the sparkle in his eyes as he looked at you.

“Y/N, you can tell me anything, you know?” Genma whispered quietly, waiting for a response from you.

No verbal or physical response was given to the man, yet there was a small signal that showed you were suffering on the inside. A tear escaped from the corner of your eye and began to roll down the side of your nose. It wasn’t long before you were comfortably in the strong arms of Genma with a hand placed on the back of your head. You brought your own arms up to wrap around his torso as the tears began to fall faster thanks to gravity.

“Why do you like me so much, Gen?” you asked, words somewhat muffled against the soft material of his t-shirt. Genma furrowed his brows at your peculiar question and started to pull away so he could get a good look at your face. He could see the seriousness displayed on your face, but he didn’t know why you would ask such a question. “What do you mean, Y/N? Are people looking at you weirdly in the village again? If so, I’m going to have a word with anyone who looks at you differently than I do,” Genma spoke with tenderness in his tone.

“It’s gotten worse, Gen… sometimes I would just be getting the groceries, and someone would whisper about you and why you chose me out of all the pretty girls around here. And I keep thinking that it has to be my physical appearance that sets me away from everyone else in the village… and it hurts to look at myself in the mirror looking for the reason behind the gossip,” you said, mumbling some of your words through your sad tone.

Genma sighed and brought the hem of his shirt up to rub away the tears still protruding from your face, taking in the appearance of your red eyes. He was aware of the talks that go around, especially when he walks around the village as well. It always centered around Genma’s type and who he finds attractive, and everytime he overheard someone talking about it, he could only wish to talk some sense into those people either physically or verbally. But your face comes into his mind whenever he does hear these people talking about his relationship with you, and it would be enough for him to calm down. He just didn’t think it would get to you this badly, and it never has been this bad for you.

“Y/N, you’re the only girl I would ever want to be with. You’re the prettiest, beautiful, and sparkling ray of sunshine that has ever made its way in my path, and I am so grateful that we went official one year ago. I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t get to wake up next to you every morning or eat lunch and dinner together everyday. Honestly… I��d probably go insane because there is this amazing girl that I could never imagine with anyone but me. And anyone who has anything to say about that can come say it to my face directly,” Genma said, beginning to caress your cheeks, “I love you so much, Y/N.”

“I love you, too.”

A/n: I had zero idea what to do for the prompt so I just chose a basic one. First time writing headcanons... and I definitely need to practice more. 

Neji Hyuga - July 3rd

It doesn’t matter what kind of argument, Neji is absolutely 99.99% sure he is correct and you are in the wrong. 

But he doesn’t want you to feel that bad about it, just let you know of his intelligence superiority (*insert eye roll*).

Kind of mean about it and very calm and collected, of course smirks if you yell at him since he knows you’ll be embarrassed when you realize your supposed stupidity.

Give it a little time, and he’ll make you come around, no matter how stubborn you are. Why want to be right when you can do what he wants to do and thinks is best, I mean he is your boyfriend/husband after all… you trust him… 

The rare chance he is wrong? Well… you might have to get Lee and Tenten over to get him to admit it with their constant prodding. Or you just give up because the chance of him changing his mind about something is almost zero. 

Will of course apologize for his behavior weeks later when you really don’t care anymore to close the issue without feeling his own embarrassment though it’s rarely a huge issue. 

Kiba Inuzuka - July 7th

Another man obsessed with the smirking, let’s be real. Unfortunately for you, that smirk is one he’s mastered and you almost can’t be mad at. It’s a special tactic you will learn to hate (and love). 

Matches your volume and than scales it up 10%, because he’s the superior one even when he’s being stupid. You yell? He yells over you. You whisper? He’ll whisper over you as well. It’s infuriating. 

He’s going to say what he wants to say first, so you have to wait your turn to make your counterargument. 

Very self aware, knows he’s being dumb and an idiot but he doesn’t care, it’s about pressing your buttons because you do care. 

What does he get out of it? Your expression is payment enough for his troubles. Thinks you’re very, very cute when you’re all mad and annoyed, slightly tired from arguing for so long as to him it’s a game. 

He will NEVER apologize sincerely unless you cry, making you come crawling back to him no matter how bad he feels. It’s more enjoyable that way. 

But if you do cry, then he’ll continue to whisper apologizes into the next month, and probably mention it on your next anniversary no matter how many times you say it’s okay and forgive him. He needs your constant approval. 

Shikaku Nara - July 15th

He’s stoic, but he cares, obviously. You can just see it in his eyes. 

His smile is subtle, yet hypnotic and you just can’t seem to get a grasp on how it gets you every single time. 

If you’re really mad at him, he’ll give you space while contemplating what to do for maximum effectiveness. It’s time efficient and gives the best results. 

He knows exactly what you need when you need it and in 5 minutes you’ll have your favorite foods and cuddles regardless of who started it, since it’s about you and he enjoys that time as well. 

If you really did something stupid, then he might play around a bit. You go to blow off steam and slowly realize something about the alleyway shadows making you drawn back.

No partying for you, he knows what’s best and it’s unsafe. He wouldn’t want you to get hurt due to him, he’s much better than that. The safest place for you is wrapped up in his arms. 

One apology is all you need, how could you get mad at him for long? It’s so much nicer for you both if you just comply,  as stress is gone and you can reap the benefits. 

Genma Shiranui - July 17th

He’s a tease. 

Somehow there are more of those guys who are constantly smirking all the time, him being one. It’s probably one of the easiest expressions to make with a senbon in his mouth. 

He’s fairly chill and laid back with more rationality than most men, so if it’s really something big then he just sits down and has a conversation with you. 

Unless it really strikes a nerve he’d just accept everything you throw at him and move on with his life, because after a while of doing missions, he stopped caring about the little things as much. 

You, however are not a little thing in his world. If you’re happy, he’s happy, and so sometimes its better to just admit defeat for the sake of said happiness. 

Mind games are kind of his thing, and it’s hot, but it’s also really annoying sometimes. You’re mad he messed up the kitchen? His evil guilt trip puts a pause on your anger and you just end up cleaning it yourself. Truly despicable. 

Arguments don’t happen often, since he’s not home most of the time and you often have to spend time being mad on your own when he leaves, another tactic of his. Mission timing is just way too convenient for him sometimes, bound to make you suspicious. 

In the case you do hit a nerve, he’ll yell, but it won’t last long. It’s a rare occurrence, and you end up coming to a good compromise most of the time, so it’s never really a big deal. 

Sasuke Uchiha - July 23rd

He doesn’t care. Really, he doesn’t. 

You want something he doesn’t? He’ll ignore you, but if you decide to be particularly bratty and annoying, he’ll treat you accordingly. 

“Shut up, brat, I’m working.” Did he take it to far when you just wanted to go get ice cream? Sure… but it doesn’t matter, you’ll be fine in an hour (hopefully). 

Tears fall? It happens all the time… at least that’s what he justified it as. He feels a bit bad… but you’re still here and he has better things to do than listening to your blubbering.

You leave the house? No, not without his permission (he would never admit he was afraid of losing you…). He’s coming after you in two seconds and no matter how fast you run, he will find you and drag you back home and you will learn to not leave the house again.

No apologies then, you were still being bad and you were in the wrong. You keep yelling at him? You want more freedom? Brats don’t get freedom, you need him and he knows this is for the best. 

You finally have had enough of his behavior? Then you finally get the “I’m so sorry…” you’d been waiting for. He breaks down, holding on to you for dear life and begging you not to leave. How could you go now? He needs you just as much as you need him (you wouldn’t really leave him but you’re fed up).

Only a one time occurrence of course, it’s constantly on his mind as he goes back to his usual self, making sure you never reach that point again and trying to better himself so he doesn’t even get close.
