If I had a nickel for every time a morally ambiguous dog guy caused an emotional breakdown to our main female heroine, leading to her getting comforted by her cat boy love interest I would have two nickels. Which isn't a lot but it's weird that it happened twice.

Spoilers for Fruits Basket!!!

Killua being a little protective of Tohru when the latter has her first interaction with Akito! Tohru is nervous of this interaction but not because of Akito herself but more so trying to hold the assassin child back. Akito is confused as to why this random child looks like he wants to murder her…

This was inspired by Chapter 20 of “Main Character Syndrome (With Exceptions)” where Killua and Tohru interact for a bit, and I was inspired by it, and felt that with more development, it’d be similar to Yuki and Tohru’s relationship, where Killua would be drawn to Tohru due to her motherly nature and kindness, and as their friendship evolves, they’d look at for one another! I’d also low key imagine after seeing Tohru’s future that Killua would be a bit protective of her ESPECIALLY when she’s involved with Akito. While Killua would understand Akito’s situation and be happy with the fact she stops her abuse in the end, I feel Killua would still end up not liking her a lot, ESPECIALLY with the crap Akito pulls at the end of Season 3 against Tohru. So overall, Killua and Tohru would have a very wholesome relationship! I was kinda split on whether I should do Akito or Shigure (I have very mixed opinions on both oth them, can you tell?) but I thought Akito would be more fitting, given the fact she’s the main villain of the story of Furuba.

Side Note: what’s up with Tohru and her affinity for cat people that’s names start with K?? (Kyo, Killua??? If I had a nickel-)

I apologize for the delay, been really busy and had Furuba burnout while working on this.

Here’s part 1

Left Out/changed entirely:

-Kyo noticing and feeling relieved Tohru’s scratch from True Form healed with no scars.

-Hiro ran to Kazuma’s dojo after stealing Tohru’s notebook.

Season 2 Ep 1, Chapter 42

Left out: Minegawa not wanting to elect a new Yuki Club President and the discussion of hiding the fact she broke a Yuki Club rule.

Season 2 Ep 2, Chapter 46

Left out: Kyo noticed a glimpse of Tohru’s anxiety for the future.

Season 2 Ep 3, Chapters 36, 47

Changed: They awkwardly combined both of Yuki’s important conversations with Ayame.

Season 2 Ep 5, Chapter 50

Changed: Kureno actually bumped into Arisa as well at the convenient store, further adding the similarities to Arisa’s first meeting with Tohru.

Season 2 Ep 5, Chapter 53

Left out: Tohru’s window broke and Kyo saw her holding the hat.

Seems I've been somehow slacking in my "keeping up with seiyuus" duties, because I somehow JUST found out that Yui from K-on and Rin from Fruits Basket are both voiced by the same person- Toysaki Aki... And then as if that WASN'T big enough of a shock, I also found out that those same shows share another seiyuu- Satou Satomi, aka the voice of Ritsu and Saki

When watching anime, pretty much as soon as I hear a voice that sounds familiar I look up the seiyuu, and usually I also check who voices the main characters or if there's any name in particular I might recognize in a supporting role... Which I thought I did with all of the Houkago Tea Time girls... But?? I guess not because this was fr a shock lol

Anyway the wildest thing about it is that both voice genki girls in K-on and big tiddy goth gfs in Furuba, and like, despite knowing them from other roles as well... And watching the 2019 Furuba like 3 times, and most of season 1 of K-on twice, which means I am FAMILIAR with their voices in those roles in particular....

My mind still can't comprehend that they are voiced by the same people,,, talent
