P.S. - You ARE Loved

Today was a hard day.

Today was the day your mother and father found out you weren’t coming home again, but they didn’t cry.

They didn’t even bother to show up to court.

Today, you lost your world, and the people who took it from you, couldn’t even show up to court.

Tomorrow, will be an even harder day.

Tomorrow I’ll arrive at your foster home, bearing news of a life that’s being left behind.

Tomorrow, you’ll meet me for the first time. You’ll question how long I’ll be in your life and you’ll never believe me when I tell you, “I’ll be here until the end, I’m here to help you find your safe place, your home.”

Tomorrow, you’ll begin again, a whole new life. A lost identity. You won’t know wether to scream, cry, or embrace the opportunity of a new start.

There’ll be so many tomorrows, so many unknowns, so many questions that I can’t answer ,but I’ll walk through every tomorrow until you don’t need my hand to hold anymore. Until you’ve found permanency, security, happiness; until you’re ready to let me go.

You may not be my child, and never will be, but I will remind you every day that you are loved. Loved by many.
