She had tried several different methods of getting pregnant, including sperm donation and IVF (in vitro fertilization) procedure. is there/will there ever be an example of a character being raised by their grandparents,or raised by their siblings (ala Nani and Lilo from lilo and stitch) in BB,because i really like seeing non-nuclear families in fantasy and find it really annoying that there's almost a complete lack of non-nuclear families in warriors.

There's a ton of families that are already non-nuclear, thanks to the Queen's Rights. Surrogates and single parents are common, not to mention polycules.

I have to be careful though, since as you know, I actively track and untangle the family trees to the best of my ability. I can't be as wild as I'd like to be without considering if something ends up 'counting' as adoption or not.

However I do think there were a couple of situations where it happened, and I want to add more.

Whiteclaw; it bothers me immensely that they decided Leopardfur was in a motherly role. They hetconned my fucking girl with Frogleap and then they were like "women are not allowed to be ambitious without being Proven Moms." No, Whitekit was raised by Vixenleap and Grasswhisker, and Leopardfur was his MENTOR, keeping them all close while un-fostermomming Leopard.

Ashfur was raised by Elderberry, Ferncloud, and his Meemaw One-Eye. Years later, Ferncloud asks herself if she could have done something to save him in the revamp of Graystripe's Vow, Ferncloud's Parting.

Chestnutface died in Spottedleaf's Plague along with her brother Tulipflight, leaving Ravenkit and Dustkit without a family when they were only a couple months old. Dappletail probably stepped in to help, since Cricketclaw had snatched Graykit and fled when Featherkit died.

I'm not sure if I've mentioned that before... Cricketclaw, sister of Darkstripe, saw the whole plague getting bad and was like

She took Graykit with her so he wouldn't catch plague and die. So that probably counts-- though they did return a few months later!

Whumptober came and went and I posted nothing (as expected).

However, the juices are flowing again and here are three pieces ready to be posted in Whumptember.

No 6: Made to Watch. Cobra Kai. Silver finds out about Johnny's healing powers (from With Great Power...) and uses Robby as leverage to get Johnny to heal him.

No 20: Found Family/No 15: I'm fine: Cobra Kai Mexico AU, where Johnny had to fight for Miguel's freedom (and lost), leaving Robby and Miguel in charge of getting them/him to a safe place.

No 20: Found Family/No 21: Restraints/Alt 9: Drugging: Supergirl. Childish Things rewrite with more whump, and in the dark!Winn, fostermom!Cat Grant universe (side note: when was the last time you saw bangs [!] in a character description? Forcibly returning us all to 2012... :D)

All are finished and ready for their last edits! Will probably post one a week leading up to Turkey Day!

This map uses data from child welfare from 2019. These numbers change over but seem to be pretty consistent over the past few years with an uptick in numbers since the pandemic. What are the ways to support foster families? There are numerous ways, one of them is by bringing a meal. That small act reaps a huge impact. Life is busy enough add the extra stress of dealing with issues that pop up in the daily life of a foster parent and you show up at their front door with a meal.
