It's my name week! 🌻💃 ✨ April 28-May 3 the Romans celebrated the Floralia, a festival honouring Flora, the goddess of flowers and fertility 🌻 The festivities are notable for their inclusion of sex workers as festival participants.

This is my first post and it's for a tournament. Here we go -w-7

Name : Arnika, the Witch of Winter

Images :

Personnality : Passionate, socially awkward, hot-head and gentle.

Backstory and Lore :

Arnika is born on the cold side of Old Odessey in Floralia and since she was little, she always had ice powers. Even thought she love her powers, it didn't really goes well with a kingdom who's mostly flower based. And so, Arnika is lonely and desperate to have a friend. Which bring her into dangerous situations like when she became friend with a thief who cut one of her horns when she was sleeping.

One day, in some ruins, she found a magic broom who change its apparence based on its owner's powers. Thinking that the broom have a mind on its own, she called it "Broomy" and start travel around with it.

Years later, Arnika found herself in Dreamland during summer and decide to help the inhabitants by turning summer into winter. But she quickly became mad when Dedede start a fire to warm himself up. Out of rage, she turn Dedede into a snowman monster with Broomy but lose control over her creation. She ask Kirby to help her stop her broom and together, they manege to defeat the snowman and free Dedede.

Arnika apologize for letting her feelings get over her, telling that she feel so proud of her powers but nobody need them. But Dedede decide to make a deal with her : coming back his castle every summer to cold it down and they will forgive her and even became her friends. Arnika accept, greatful of the king despite having turn him into a horrible snowman.

And so, when she's not travelling, Arnika come back every summer to help King Dedede with the hot weather. He even train her to how to defend herself after hearing how she lose her horn. And since, Arnika couldn't be happier.

There you go! Thanks to give Arnika a chance in this tournament. And a chance to me 'cause English isn't my main language (it's French). Hope you will like her ^^

PS : the name "Arnika" came from the plant "arnica" who's used in medecine to calm down muscle pains. The application of the cream give a cold sensation.

On May the 1st we celebrate the fourth sabbath of the Wheel of the year, the midpoint between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice. We celebrate the bloom of nature, the beginning of summer, the moment in which the earth is most fertile and so are animals and plants. We celebrate flowers, the queen of flowers, the goddesses Persephone, Flora, Demeter and the Antesphoria festival, Floralia festival, Chloeia Festival. We celebrate the horned god, Dionysus, the Anthesteria Festival. We celebrate the union, the conceive, the hierogamy. As it happens in the counterpart sabbath of Samhain the veil between our world and the underworld gets thinner creating a meeting between the two worlds. We cherish the spirits by lighting sacred fires, we dance around the sacred pole to honor and recall the fertility of the earth.

There's another big thing that Susie and Taranza have in common that isn't just them both having lost someone they were being loyal to.

And I think this deserves more attention amongst Taransusie people:

They've both had a streak of being arrogant, overconfident, smug know-it-alls. They loved playing the villain in their respective games.

It may seem less obvious in Taranza's case, but I interpret that he was an insufferably smug fool during Triple Deluxe before Sectonia's death. He was on a big ego-trip as he was subjugating Floralians while dragging the false 'hero of the lower world' around with him.

Susie is more self-explanatory. She was all over the place giddying about her complicity in the conquest during Planet Robobot's events.

Now, of course, I myself headcanon that Taranza's self-esteem was heavily damaged by the loss of his queen. And I headcanon something similar for Susie in that her ego was hurt bad after accidentally killing her dad when she was trying to free him from Star Dream's influence. The smug streaks exploded in both their faces.

However, in my hcs, after Kirby introduced Susie and Taranza to each other and they got to know each other more and more, and as they've gone on to help build each other up after they've both suffered grief...

... Their smug streaks slowly start to come back.

I like to think they learn each other's level of confidence they performed during their respective incidents, and when they slowly regrow that, they admire each other's levels of arrogance. To the point they collaborate in mischief where they're so incredibly convinced that they're gonna 'own' everyone after pranking them.

Imagine the Kirby cast performing a game that's similar to Mario Kart Double Dash, with Susie and Taranza forming as one of the duos. They'd both be completely and utterly convinced that they're going to easily win the race without breaking a sweat. And to their credit, I do see Susie being one of the best drivers in the cast, albeit she'd 100% be a crazy fast driver that makes maneuvers that most others in the road would be too afraid to do.

I also envision a scenario where Susie is the head of some social media website, I guess the 'Twitter' of the Kirbyverse, Taranza has a presence on there and he can easily convince Susie to ban people on a whim, and they laugh over the power they both have on the site.

So... uh, yeah! Feel free to steal these ideas if you're a Taransusie person. I'm incredibly normal about these two characters to the point I've observed their smug behaviors in their respective games and notice that's another thing they can come together over. Hahahaha!

There's more you can do with this friendship than just their grief.

Forever sleeping flower(reprise).

I've been wanting to rewrite this one for a while, recently I've been able to get to it.

The narrative follows Taranza a few hours after the events of triple deluxe as he tries to process his thoughts and emotions in regard to everything that has happened. As you can imagine, he isn't taking it well it was a deeply traumatic event afterall.

The ancient Romans celebrated this festival from 28 April to 3 May, in honor of Flora, the Goddess of flowers, vegetation, and fertility. The festival had a licentious, pleasure-seeking atmosphere. Ovid says that hares and goats—animals considered fertile and salacious—were ceremonially released as part of the festivities. The festival opened with theatrical performances, continued with competitive games and spectacles at the Circus, and concluded with a sacrifice to the Goddess.

so… people on tumblr here are making Kirbysonas… 

so! this is mine!! a silly little fem presenting nonbinary floralian fairy (he they she, same as I)! they wear a sunstone around their neck instead of the typical floralian necklace. The flower they have is a Lilly of the valley- the smaller lillies on his head will bloom or wilt and fall off depending on her magic usage. they’re just a little lad, just about as tall as Kirby without floating. it’s technically an oc, but it’s supposed to represent me in the Kirby universe lfmao

Kai is a former Royal Knight to Sectonia but he chose to leave after she lost more and more of herself. He is unaware of her death

Ari is a little musician, same species as taranza and joronia. They thought omg my skills are finally good enough for the queen!! Then got granted an audience, but Sectonia kicked them out because she wanted more violent music.

Ari leaves Floralia soon after the Queens death, whilst Kai left long before then (they met before when Ari was granted an audience, Kai let them into the palace). They end up meeting once again in an Inn where Ari has been commissioned to play, and Kai just went to forget about the past.
