IT'S DONE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIRBY!!!

If you've been following me the last month, you've seen me posting invitations to join Kirby Birthday Collab. Well, as today is 27th, I'm proud to present the result of this collab!!

This collab ended up even bigger than the last year's one. When last year we mainly had only Dream Friends (with some special guests like Morpho, Galacta and Elfilin), this year we've got characters from many more groups, including villains! We've almost left no one behind lol

The image above might be a bit scuffed (anti-AI protection, and all that), but no worries! You can click on it to see full, uncompressed image and see everyone's work that's been put into this!

Happy Birthday to King Dedede, too!

Dedede shares the same birthday as Kirby as they both debuted in Kirby's Dream Land. He needs to be wished a happy birthday, too!

The waddle dees that reside in Dedede's castle definitely wish him happy birthdays big-time every year. Kirby does, too, of course!

And to clarify, I headcanon that Dedede doesn't actually share the same birthday with Kirby in-universe, but they do outside of universe! So he's getting wishes now, too.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIRBY!!!! (and headcanons for Kirby's birthdays)

IT'S KIRBY'S 32ND ANNIVERSARY!!!!

I headcanon that Kirby's birthdays get celebrated BIG TIME in-universe.

As in, he has giant birthday parties happening right outside his house every year.

All his friends show up.

King Dedede, Meta Knight, Bandana Waddle Dee, Rick, Kine, Coo, Nago, ChuChu, Pitch, Gooey, Marx, Adeleine, Ribbon, Shadow Kirby, Dark Meta Knight, Daroach and the rest of the squeak squad, Magolor, Taranza, Susie, Francisca, Flamberge, Zan Partizanne, Hyness, Elfilin, Clawroline, Leongar, Gorimondo, Sillydillo, and many more show up!

Even some waddle dees, waddle doos, chillies, burning leos, bonkers, bugzzies and other helper species show up too!

Kracko doesn't show up, and thankfully he's sensible enough to not try anything on Kirby's birthdays. He knows that everyone would hunt him down if he tried. He's not THAT stupid.

Kirby's birthdays are big events, as shown by the ^ amount of people that show up. It's a huge deal! Everyone cares about it!

And honestly, how couldn't they be big events? Kirby is the biggest hero in this universe. He's beloved and celebrated all over. He deserves big time celebrations after everything he's done for everybody.

While most of his birthday parties happen right outside his house, there have been a few occasions where they've happened elsewhere. One was held at the Forgotten Land's planet in Waddle Dee Town, while another was held in Merry Magoland in another part of Dream Land. (You can bet that Magolor was super glee and proud of that!)

Kirby really knows how to spread love and joy. He's spread it to so many people, and then they spread it to him on his birthdays.

Considering that Gooey came from Dark Matter, it makes me wonder...

... Is he capable of possessing people?

Imagine if he could. Although unlike the rest of his kin, he wouldn't turn someone evil after possessing them. He'd most likely... be having them emulate his behavior.

Inb4 when Gooey possesses someone, he turns their eyes into googly eyes and makes their tongue long and stretchy. And makes them absent-minded and/or silly. Or whatever personality you interpret Gooey to have.

That'd be... a unique kind of possession compared to the possessions that usually happen in Kirby.

I had a very weird dream last night.

This dream involved the existence of a Kirby movie that I went to the theatre to see. Magolor was in it, and he was voiced by Kanye West.

There were at least three instances where the instrumental of POWER was playing in the background during his screen time.

... What does anyone think of this?

Marx and Susie would get into heated arguments about clockwork stars.

In my opinion, Susie would be an adamant skeptic for clockwork stars considering the baggage she has associated with one (since Star Dream is a clockwork star). And Marx would.... well, you know.....

"Way to spread your corporate propaganda, killjoy! Of course clockwork stars can people what they want. They've done so for a long time. I can attest to that. Why do you have to be so audacious as to ruin the fun for others?"

"Then go and try to explain how there's a clockwork star that was well known for malfunctioning to an extreme level and decided to try to kill everyone! That proves there are a ton of risks when meddling with this ancient technology that we don't know much about, like shown with that one."

"If you're talking about Star Dream, that was an incomplete clockwork star. Don't use that one as a generalization to try to say that all clockwork stars would be like that. Geez. What a hysterical move from someone that takes pride in how smart she ostensibly is!"

grunts in irritation "I'm not generalizing, I'm telling people to think twice before going out and trying to mess with something that could hurt them and cause horrific damage across the cosmos! Stars damn it, Marx. You really don't know when to quit, do you? And even if clockwork stars were assured 'safe' to use, I find it really curious that you're going out of your way to persuade people into making wishes to them!"

"Hahahahahahahahaha! What's this, are you insinuating that I'm up to something? As if I'd do something that would make Kirby kick my ass again. I wonder what this is about? Did Star Dream sour you so much that you're desperate to project whatever trauma you got from it onto people that I tell about clockwork stars to?"

snaps as she then throttles him "Shut up! SHUT UP! You make me want to obliterate you sometimes! I swear to stars, your insufferableness must not know any bounds. Whatever it is you're doing, you should really stop trying to get people to summon these things that could potentially make a catastrophe. And I'm still baffled as to how you didn't die when Pinky blasted you onto Nova." then lets go of him and storms off, basically done with this conversation lol

^ That's an example, lol. And I think Susie would absolutely not fall for it if Marx tried to persuade her to summon a clockwork star and have it revive her dad. I think Taranza would be a lot more likely to fall for it if he was told that he can bring Sectonia back by wishing to a clockwork star. Unless if Susie was nearby, then she could shut that idea down and tell him the dangers of trying to do that.

Kracko's opinions on all the Dream Friends

Note: This is all purely my headcanons.

Kracko famously hates Kirby and wants him dead. What does he think about all of the dream friends? Does he hate them all, too?

Here are his opinions on them:

Bandana Waddle Dee: Bandee being one of Kirby's best friends is enough for Kracko to hate him a lot. Yes, Kracko is legitimately petty enough to hate people for simply being really close to Kirby. It also doesn't help that Bandee joined Kirby in beating Kracko up before, and has even talked madly at him for being so mean to the pink puff.

King Dedede: Kracko and Dedede used to be friends. Used to. They were friends back when Dedede wasn't friends with Kirby yet. But once he became friends with Kirby, he and Kracko stopped being friends. Kracko felt betrayed by Dedede at that point. Nowadays, there's nothing but anger and resentment all around in this dynamic. One time, Dedede criticized Kracko for being so stubborn and hateful about Kirby. That boosted Kracko's bitterness towards Dedede more.

Meta Knight: Before Meta Knight was friends with Kirby, Kracko didn't mind him. But once he did become friends with Kirby, the cloud's opinion of him worsened. It worsened even more when Meta Knight challenged Kracko to a fight multiple times and handily kicked his ass every time. Kracko is pissed off about Meta Knight. He also gets annoyed when Meta and his crew take the Halberd on a flight.

Rick & Kine & Coo: Kracko's thoughts on these guys can be summed up by "go fuck yourselves". He's mad at them for assisting Kirby in beating him up during the events of Dream Land 2. It doesn't end there, as they've also become judgmental to him for being so spiteful and mean-spirited to Kirby. These guys heavily get on Kracko's nerves. And by the way, he also has very similar opinions for Nago, ChuChu and Pitch.

Marx: Let me tell you that Kracko DESPISES Marx. To be honest, this might actually be his second most hated person after Kirby. The reason why is because Marx constantly makes fun of Kracko's hatred for Kirby. He also pulls aggravating pranks on him. Kracko has snapped and ruthlessly struck Marx with lightning more than once. But because Marx literally survived impacting onto Nova, he never dies to Kracko's lightning. And it doesn't stop Marx from trolling him.

Gooey: Kracko doesn't like Gooey for being a close buddy of Kirby's, but this is someone he really can't get himself to have an actual hatred for. Partly because Gooey never agitates him in any way. Unlike most of Kirby's other friends who fight Kracko, criticize him or make fun of him, Gooey doesn't do any of that. Kracko ignores him, really.

Adeleine: Very mixed feelings here. On one hand, Kracko likes that Adeleine is a Cloudy Park resident as that's his favorite place on Popstar, and he appreciates the fact that she seemingly admires him enough to have a painting of him that she can summon into sentience on a whim. But he HATES that she's buddies with Kirby. That causes him to resent her. However, the fact that she seems to like him makes him come to his senses a little bit, and so he doesn't attack her.

Ribbon: Kracko does not like Ribbon at all. This is because Ribbon really looks up to Kirby and has yelled at Kracko for being so mean to him. She even became bold enough to try to challenge Kracko to a fight to "make him back off from Kirby", although other people quickly stopped this. Still, Kracko thinks she's a little pain in the ass.

Dark Meta Knight: As Kracko can exist in any dimension and was present for the events of Amazing Mirror, he was temporarily allies with DMK during that. But that ended afterwards. Then at one point, because DMK is an aggressive son of a gun that loves to fight, he once picked a fight with Kracko and it got worse from there. Kracko resents DMK for that, although these two seldom interact overall.

Daroach: Kracko has a lot of hatred for Daroach and his entire squad of squeaks because of Mecha-Kracko, which he hates Doc the most out of them for being the one to create that, and he just hates the rest of the squeaks out of association. Unlike Adeleine who has a sentient painting for Kracko because she actually thinks he's cool, the squeaks made Mecha-Kracko seemingly just because they can. It pisses Kracko off as he thinks they were trying to replace him with it.

Magolor: Kracko hates Magolor nearly as much as Marx. This is because, much like Marx, Magolor also makes fun of Kracko's hatred for Kirby and pulls pranks on him for it. Kracko has angrily struck Magolor with lightning more than once, but it has never killed him. It also drove Kracko insane when Magolor rammed him with the Lor Starcutter one time. What a totally insufferable person, Kracko thinks.

Taranza: They were allies during Triple Deluxe when Taranza got Kracko to fight Kirby. However, post-TDX when Taranza moved over to Kirby's side, Kracko felt betrayed. He grew to loathe Taranza as a result. One time, he got pissed off about the spider wizard enough to even try to attack Royal Road's castle (Taranza's home) out of spite, but then Taranza threatened to get Kirby to beat him up. Damn it!

Susie: Kracko hates Susie a lot for both her bad and good deeds. He hates her for the HWC invasion on Popstar, but he hates her even more for then turning around and becoming friends with Kirby afterwards. That's the worst of both worlds for Kracko. He was once pissed off about her enough to the point he tried to attack the HWC's main headquarters out of spite, but failed miserably as the HWC's army easily beat him and fended him off. Susie scoffed at him for it.

The Three Mage Sisters: By the time of Star Allies, Kracko's hatred for Kirby was so great that he allied with the cult as he attacked the dream friends in Gabbel Moon. Then post-HiAD when the mage sisters befriended Kirby, he felt betrayed. He hates them. He's especially petty at Zan Partizanne as he wants to "best" her in electrical strength and to beat her up for Kirby's friend. This is a one-sided feud, as Zan is annoyed by Kracko rather than hating him back.

Wow. What a big hater this cloud is. I think he should seek help LOL.

They're here! I'll post an updated version of my collection in just a bit.

A few months, I posted my Kirby character plush collection. I've gotten some more since then. DL3 animal trio, Elfilin and Kracko are added.

Here's the updated collection! And I think I'm satisfied with this for the current moment. Might I get more? Maybe. But I'm not concerned with that right now and probably wouldn't be for a long time.

Are the "deaths" of older Kirby characters unserious?

For all the Kirby characters that are believed to have "died", I wonder if the ones in earlier periods of the series are not actually seriously dead.

The newer, Kumazaki era Kirby characters that have died are much more legitimate. Sectonia is absolutely 100% dead without a doubt. Same for Max Haltmann and Star Dream, as well as Void Termina. I also believe Fecto Elfilis to be dead, since the Forgo half is gone and Chaos Elfilis absorbed into Elfilin. I'm sure that Elfilin will be all that's left of Fecto Elfilis, meaning the original unsplit creature is a goner.

But what about the pre-Kumazaki Kirby characters that are believed to have "died"? It appears they're much less certain. It's ambiguous.

Marx looks like he died at the end of Milky Way Wishes. That impact onto Nova absolutely looks more than enough to kill Marx. How could he have survived that? He also doesn't appear for a very long time after Super Star and its remake. He's been absent in a lot of Kirby games, which can also lead to the belief that he died after MWW.

Although he does appear in Mass Attack... but I have doubts on its canonicity.

... And then he comes back in Star Allies! Seemingly out of nowhere. It's kind of funny that the lore never explains how the hell Marx survived his encounter with Kirby and just randomly comes back, now deciding he wants to team up with Kirby to stop Void Termina.

I get the sense that HAL didn't really think much of Marx's "death" like they thought of Sectonia's death. Marx came from an era where lore wasn't really a thing, so it's harder to take his death seriously.

It's still funny to think how the hell he survived the Nova impact, though. I guess he was just really durable? And I mean, Kirby does survive big impacts, such as Star Dream's explosion after destroying it, so I guess if Kirby could survive them, Marx probably could as well.

I can, of course, bring up my headcanon that Marx was barely durable enough to survive the Nova impact, but he was gravely injured. The only reason he survived is because Magolor and the Lor Starcutter showed up at the right time to save him.

Also, didn't it look like that Dark Meta Knight died at the end of Amazing Mirror when the mirror got shattered? It kinda did. But just like Marx, he also comes back out of nowhere for Star Allies with no explanation as to how he survived and got to the point of helping out.

I'm aware he also appears in Triple Deluxe's Dededetour, but I've always been incredibly loose about considering side modes as canon. Or I guess it's extra proof that older character "deaths" are unserious.

What does this mean for other pre-Kumazaki Kirby characters that may have "died"? Such as Nightmare, the many leaders of Dark Matter (Blade, Zero, Zero-Two) and Drawcia? Are they still alive?

If Marx was thought to have "died" but then survived and is still around, who's to say that couldn't also be the case for Nightmare?

Nightmare has not appeared for a long time after Kirby's Adventure and its remake, Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land. In fact I'm pretty sure the only other appearance he's made in the series is... a parallel version of him in Super Kirby Clash, and I think that's basically it.

But Marx was similar! He didn't show up for a bunch of games after Super Star. And then he just randomly shows up in Star Allies lmao.

Maybe Nightmare is still out there, recuperating for a long time after Kirby kicked his ass. Perhaps he could be planning his next attack as he tries to become much, much, much stronger than he was before.

And maybe Dark Matter could make a return. Maybe one of the Dark Matter leaders in the DMT games could be recuperating and planning a new attack, or a brand new Dark Matter leader could exist.

I think it'd be awesome of Nightmare or Dark Matter were to come back as villains in future Kirby games. There's huge amounts of potential for how powerful they could be in the Kumazaki era. They could easily expand on these villains' powers and motivations.

Imagine if Nightmare grew stronger and, instead of making only Dream Landers have nightmares, what if he was able to make multiple planets or even the whole universe have nightmares? They didn't really push his potential far enough, in my opinion. And Dark Matter could be a lot more ferocious and scary in the Kumazaki era.

HAL didn't really seem to confirm Nightmare's or Dark Matter's deaths the same way they did for Sectonia and Haltmann. Maybe they could still be out there. And maybe they could attack again?

Just a cool thought, in my opinion.

I headcanon that Kirby is fully aware that Kracko hates his guts.

But he doesn't reciprocate the hatred back.

It's a purely one-sided feud. Kracko hates Kirby, but Kirby doesn't hate Kracko back. He doesn't have hatred or malice for Kracko.

Kirby just... doesn't hate people. He does get angry and upset at people for doing bad things, he will kick people's asses for doing bad things, and he will feel hurt if someone tries to go after him with malicious intent. But he just doesn't get himself to hate. He is not a grudge holder in the slightest. He's the least willing person to grudge.

He's simply too sweet-hearted to hate or even dislike someone. Again, he'll get mad and will throw hands at people who decide to do bad things, but he has always given people second chances and will never stop doing that. He sees the best in everyone. He hopes for everyone to get better, and he'd be happy to see everyone succeed.

If anything, Kirby actually feels sorry for Kracko. He thinks that Kracko might be really hurting if he hates him so much. He wishes he could do something to help this angry cloud hurt less. But he knows he'll just get struck with lightning if he tried, so he doesn't bother. And it occasionally makes him upset that Kracko seemingly wants to constantly try to hunt him down in revenge due to his insane hatred.

Like what Kirby does for everyone else, he (stubbornly) sees the best in Kracko and hopes that one day he may eventually turn around, end his hatred, and become a friend. But unfortunately... Kracko shows absolutely zero sign of that whatsoever. He appears that he won't be satisfied until he scores a really big one-up on Kirby, or even kills him.

Kirby won't at all let that happen. But he doesn't hate Kracko back.

I like how there's a song in Kirby Planet Robobot's OST called "Memories (I'll Never Forget You)". It's the music that plays during the credits after you beat the game.

I wonder what the song's name is referring to. Probably could mean many different things?

I think... there's many different things it could mean:

A: Kirby will never forget the Robobot Armor.

B: Susie will never forget her father.

C: Something else entirely that's not in-universe of the game.

Personally, I'd like to imagine B being the case. That'd be really touching. Too bad the ending cutscene right before the credits is extremely vague about what Susie does or how she's feeling after Star Dream has been destroyed, but I'd have to imagine she at least feels immense guilt and regret after accidentally getting Haltmann killed. He may have forgotten her, but I don't think she'll ever forget him.
