im currently spiralling down the beautifully devastating hole that is arab poetry, so feed into this obsession by voting on this poll
(the options are too long for me to add so theyre below the cut)
options:
line one:
they asked, "do you love her to death?" i said, "speak her name over my grave and watch how she brings me to life."
line two:
because my love for you is higher than words, i've decided to fall silent.
line three:
and if the devil was to ever see you, he'd kiss your eyes and repent
line four:
if someday the moon calls you by your name don’t be surprised, because every night i tell her about you.
line five:
as if the clay you were made of, was kneaded wirh rose water.
line six:
we met by chance, two arrows in opposite directions, inevitable was the meeting and inevitable was the farewell.
line seven:
make space in your ribs (chest) for me, i would like to reside eternally in my home country.
line eight:
i felt like kissing the swords, because their glimmer reminded me of your smile.
line nine:
there is water in my eyes, and fire in my heart. do you want a drink? or a spark?
line ten:
when i love, i become liquid light
line eleven:
"i love autumn" she told me and since that day i've been falling
line twelve:
i would split open my heart with a knife, place you within and seal my wound, that you might dwell there and never inhabit another

✧ 🏛🌱 Kavetham / Haikaveh NSFW one-shot 🔞

A/n : Here's a little Kavetham one-shot i wrote a long time ago – we barely knew what Kaveh looked like when I finished it to give you a rough idea lmao. Therefore I want to apologize for the OOC and mischaracterization in there! I wanted their dynamic to make sense and be a little angsty, but turns out they're pretty wholesome in their own way. I plan on writing more of this ship with more accuracy in the future tho! Stay tuned teehee 🫣 Anyway —enjoy :)

✧ A French version is also available if it's more comfortable for you —
Little funfact – the title of the OS means "And if the Devil were to ever see you, he'd kiss your eyes and repent.” and comes from a poem by Farouq Jwaideh. The name of the collection i set the OS in, "The Butterfly's Burden", comes from a collection of Mahmoud Darwish's poems. The more you know ✧

"if I where to kiss my love and go to hell afterwards I would, for then I could brag to the devil how I witnessed heaven without ever entering" Abe's voice was romantic and soft as he read from the book behind the glass.
Hellboy had been looking for the blonde woman but stopped when he heard her voice coming from Abe's room, he knew the two where on good terms, but as he pressed his ear to the door he almost grew jealous.
"if the devil was ever to see you, he's kiss your eyes and repent, that one is by Farouq Jwaideh" Abe hummed floating in his tank.
"that's beautiful Abe" Morningstar smiled warmly, leaning against the tank of water with a softness in her eyes, her hand flipping the page of his poetry book
"you know miss Morningstar I must thank yo-" he started but was cut off when, speak of the devil, Hellboy burst through the door unceremoniously.
"Abe you seen agent- oh? I hope I'm not interrupting" he knew she was in there. there was no reason to ask, and he hoped Abe didn't read his mind to know he was lieing, he took heavy steps walking over the two. maybe he was a little jealous...he knew Abe was way better at words...and feelings.
Morningstar turned to face Hellboy, a faint blush on her cheeks at his sudden appearance. "No, you're not interrupting anything," she said with a small smile. "Abe and I were just reading some poetry."
"Poetry, huh?" Hellboy raised an eyebrow, glancing at the book in Morningstar's hands. "Not really my thing."
"That's a shame," Abe said with a chuckle. "There's a lot of beauty in poetry, like the one I was just reading to miss Morningstar"
Hellboy grunted in response, still feeling a bit out of place in the conversation. "Well, I was actually looking for Morningstar" he gestured to the woman with his stone hand "I uhhh.." he looked down the agent who was just staring up at him like he was something... something better then what he was.
he leaned down and tilted her head up with his strong hand by her chin, she closed her eyes and leaned into him but their lips never met...Insted his lips kissed her eyes and held there's for a few seconds.
he could repent.

Why do I see you on everything? As if on earth you are all the humans. As if you were a never-ending path and I was created for this trip. If I was running from you, to you. By your God, tell me, where is the escape?
