Re:Zero

In the world of "Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World," Subaru Natsuki is a young man who is transported to a fantasy world where he discovers he has the ability to rewind time upon dying. This ability initially seems like a blessing, as it allows him to correct mistakes and prevent tragic outcomes. However, as Subaru experiences the trauma of death and the repeated failures that come with his power, he begins to suffer from severe mental anguish.

One of the most significant ways that Subaru's ability to rewind time affects his mental health is through the trauma of death. Each time he dies, he experiences the pain and terror of the moment all over again, causing him to suffer intense emotional trauma. This trauma becomes increasingly severe as he dies more and more, leading him to become increasingly traumatized and vulnerable.

Furthermore, Subaru's repeated failures to save the people he cares about lead him to suffer from feelings of guilt and worthlessness. He repeatedly sacrifices himself to save others, only to fail and have to try again, leading him to feel like he is not good enough or that his efforts are in vain. This causes him to suffer from severe depression and feelings of hopelessness, as he struggles to come to terms with his limitations and failures.

Subaru's mental anguish is also fueled by his isolation and loneliness. As he repeatedly relives the same events, he begins to feel increasingly disconnected from the people around him. He struggles to form meaningful relationships or connect with others, as he feels like he is trapped in a cycle of endless failure and death.

Overall, Subaru's ability to rewind time leads him to suffer from severe mental anguish. The trauma of death, feelings of guilt and worthlessness, and isolation and loneliness all contribute to his suffering. Sanctuarian Creature: Eogyrhinus claudacatio, an enormous 200 foot long amphibian with a taste for many smaller animals including humans. They may have an elongated and defenseless unarmored body but they are strong and agile for their size, and capable of secreting a substance on their skins that insulates them from electricity as well as conducts it, allowing them to weaponize electric shock attacks to an extent.
