lucifer brushes nearly everything off as just plain allergies, he could literally have a 103 fever and be shaking on the floor and would still be pouting and saying he's fine

the thing about him tho is that he's easy to take care of- after a little coaxing lucifer just sighs and nods glumly before pretty much submitting himself to your care

once he's admitted hes sick tho, he wants you around him 24/7

lucifer wants cuddles, hugs, kisses, he just gets so clingy when he's feeling under the weather

THIS MAN LITERALLY BURNS UP WHEN HE'S SICK ITS ALWAYS THE LITTLE ONES WITH THE HIGHEST RAGING FEVERS THAT LAST FOR DAYS like he'll be sweating and shivering and crying he gets hit HARD when he's sick and it happens so suddenly too- like one day he's fine and then the next he looks like he's one small wind away from collapsing

he lowkey feels bad about asking for things when he's sick so he'll say something offhand like "yk im in the mood for soup" and hopes you get the message

lucifer definitely gets nightmares even when he isn't sick, but when hes feeling like shit and is so delirious he can't tell reality from fiction? be prepared for him to wake up crying and shaking, he just gets so so scared :(

lucifer feels bad about you taking care of him and wants to help, but will lowkey end up pushing himself too hard. PLEASE reassure him and tell him it's alright he'll literally melt

once its all over, lucifer will genuinely trust you more after you saw him in such a vulnerable state and is much more likely to come to you instead of hiding how he's feeling in the future

Alastor:

alastor? weak? lmao no

he would literally rather die than admit he's sick like he would literally just keep pushing on

alastor is one of those people that has an iron immune system like he VERY rarely gets sick but when he does its like torture

to even be alastor's partner you'd have to know him for a long time and you'd probably be able to read him pretty well (at least compared to other people), yet even you sometimes miss his sickness in the earlier stages

alastors biggest tell tale sign of being sick? exhaustion. he very rarely sleeps on the regular, but when he's sick that all catches up to him

he also gets more irritable and a little less composed, he'd be more prone to getting angry and would lash out if anyone asked if he was ok

alastors ears would also be turned back slightly, like most animals do when they're being aggressive, but its pretty much only obvious to people who know him closely

alastor never wants to be vulnerable or weak but you notice that his eyelids keep drifting of their own accord, and how irritable he's been, and it clicks to you that he's obviously not feeling well

approach him about it in private, while alastor does trust you he still doesn't want others to knowm

no matter how much you try he will not lay down, take medicine, or do anything (at least at first)

alastor genuinely thinks that he can just push through on his own and lowkey thinks you're worrying too much

however after two weeks of pure suffering and exhaustion, combined with no sleep and your irritation at his lack of will to take care of himself, alastor finally breaks

he'd prob come to your room at like 4 in the morning and just curl up on the edge of the bed, shivering a little but staying quiet

you wake up to him fast asleep, his ears twitching every once and a while as he rests peacefully near you

get a cool towel and lay it on his forehead to break the fever, and he'll just keep sleeping

he probably wouldn't wake up for at least a few hours, months of lost sleep are catching up to him at this point, giving you the opportunity to make him some soup and medicine

alastor will stir a little when you get out of bed but wont wake up, but once he does wake up he wants you to come back

when he's sick he wants you to be nearby, alastor isn't the touchiest person and being sick makes him feel gross, so he wouldn't want to be touched but would want you arround just to know you're there

this is probably the first step in him being more open to vulnerability around you, and while it may have been a bit of an irritating process to get him back to his usual healthy status, it's definitely worth it as he begins to trust you more

Vox:

lowkey a man child (affectionate)

vox is one of those guys who will take care of himself when he's sick, but he'll complain about it every step of the way

i think he's pretty responsible when he's sick, he'll take the day off and relax but won't do much other than that

he likes when you pamper him though, and a part of him lowkey enjoys being sick because he just gets to have your full attention all of the time (as if he doesn't already💀)

vox would be irritated about showing weakness and not being in control, but he wouldn't be irritated at you

if an employee was being too nosy about his wellbeing? yea he's pissed but if you're the one taking care of him, he'll just sigh and let you do what you want

VOX IS ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE WHOS LITERALLY ALWAYS COLD AND ITS AMPLIFIED WHEN HES SICK

he becomes like a literal ice cube he's SHIVERING and everything

vox has the cutest sneezes too, he glitches out and denies how cute his sneezes are but they really are adorable

vox takes like 2 baths per day when he's sick he hates feeling unclean, and def wants you to join him in the bath (just to relax, get your mind out of the gutter)

vox would be a little pissed about missing work, i think he's a bit of a workaholic and might try to work in bed or sneak some paperwork behind your back

it doesn't work though because he just ends up passing out anyway

vox is big on sleeping when he's sick he's definitely the type to just sleep it off and thats that

like he CRASHES in bed and just does not get up for hours

he sleeps like the dead too, his screen is blank and he barely moves in his sleep

like lucifer, he has fever dreams but they lean more on the weird side rather than the sad side

its funny but instead of talking more when sick, vox actually talks much less. he starts getting super quiet and a lot more needy for your attention

vox is more than happy to return to work and be back on his feet, but will send you a little thank you gift and pamper you in return for taking care of him

Adam:

manchild x2 (also affectionate)

adam DREADS getting sick like he genuinely hates it so much, he sees it as one of his own flaws and it makes him lowkey disgusted at himself

he whines like a baby over a common cold, its almost sad how the slightest sickness will make him act like he's on his death bed

adam whines and complains whenever you aren't around him, he wants cuddles and kisses and is 10x more clingy when he's sick

he has little to no appetite when he's actually sick but gets a huge appetite right after

like you'll have to force him to eat at least a piece of toast per day while he's actually feverish but once he's in recovery he's literally FAMISHED and will ask for so much food

he barely eats or drinks while hes sick it just feels icky to him

i also think he's the type to not want to move like he just collapses on his bed and barely moves an inch (unless you force him)

adam exaggerates when he's barely sick and then underplays it when he's genuinely really sick its lowkey so confusing

like he could have pneuomonia and be half dead and say he's fine but he could have the most common cold and complain foreverrr

he doesn't think you're genuine when you say you want to help him and take care of him, he thinks its just a joke since nobody has ever really taken care of him before

like sure he's been told what to do and bossed around and treated him like a foolish child, but no one has ever sat with him while he's sick and held his hand yk?

while he can be irritable and annoying while he's sick, he apologizes afterwards

its one of the few times he ever apologizes but he genuinely feels bad about lashing out

adam isn't used to being below someone when it comes to status or health and relaxing and letting someone else take care of him is kind of foreign for him, but you both work it out over time

while he isn't the easiest to take care of, he genuinely appreciates that you want to help him and wants to return the favor someday

Shamura would likely be the "proper" type, just respectfully having conversations with their peers, answering a few questions to those who are interested, but also keeping an eye (or eyes) on all of their siblings And the Lamb. Especially the Lamb I feel I like the thought of Shamura sorta encouraging and sorta caring for Lamb's actions, so i.e. if they see them downing a whole bottle of an alcoholic drink, Shamura would first watch and then tellem to not do it again LMAO

The afterparty of that would probs look like Narinder carrying the Lamb on his shoulder or back, who's very much drunk and sleepy, while Shamura Leshy Kallamar and Heket chat about the events of the party and even acknowledge some of Lamb's doings, either finding them entertaining or getting ashamed for being responsible for such gremlin xD

another thing i hate about the tekken fandom is how some ppl call jin a "gary stu/mary sue" (then again since when has any comfort character i love ever NOT been called that ex. superman from dc comics and aizen from bleach). like if he really was a gary stu, he would've kicked kazuya's ass in the start of tekken 8 and then kazuya throws a temper tantrum or something. but no, my boy got his shit rocked and got washed badly. kazuya doesn't cry like a baby when he loses to jin. also he fucking loses to hwoarang and miguel. jin also has character flaws like being a tad anti-social due to trust issues by heihachi betarying him and fear that those he cares about might get hurt in the crossfires of his dangerous life. like wtf...then again like i said, literally every character i adore is called that guess i'll just continue to get used to it while enjoying my pookies.

the thing about gary stu / mary sue is that people had completely forgotten what it meant and now believe it means any powerful / strong character. even though the original definition of gary stu / mary sue wasn't Strong Character, but it meant a character that never had any losses, always wins and is good at everything, even skills they realistically wouldn't have, character that has zero flaws (or if they do have "flaws," they're not really flaws / they're likeable flaws) and a character that is virtually liked by everyone (except the bad guy and usually that's just because the bad guy is either jealous or somebody to be hated.)

most people cite tekken 4 as to why jin's a "mary sue" because he was able to defeat kazuya and heihachi. but like. it's important to note that heihachi has been defeated by kazuya at least twice in canon now - so defeating heihachi isn't the Biggest Feat that his fans like to make it out to be. and also heihachi is a strong human, but in the end, he's just a human. and then like, kazuya couldn't even beat paul (they also fought to a draw) and kazuya has canonically lost to heihachi once as an adult. and then we saw how lars has held up his own to kazuya (also just a human). so... we've seen how kazuya can struggle against mere humans before, why is it so shocking he'd lose against a mishima + hachijo (devil) + kazama descendent? also despite being related to one powerful bloodline, and two bloodlines with supernatural powers, it's not like jin is an Expert at Fighting because the lore Said So, jin worked fucking hard to earn his skill. jin spent 4 years straight doing nothing but strenuous training to fight a god. i'm not gonna belittle kazuya's efforts either, but heihachi probably did train jin harder than kazuya given the circumstances (there was likely a time limit as to when heihachi wanted to lure ogre in with the tournament, and he knew he was gonna set jin up against a god/beast. kazuya never ever had to go up against anything like that in tek1.) then after this, jin went another 2 years straight training to learn karate. jin trained, probably virtually nonstop and pushed himself to over the edge, for 6 years. jin is also an expert in three styles of martial arts, which is more than many of the, if not most, of the fighters. we've seen him earn this. it isn't like he didn't do a damn thing and is just good because the story Wants him to be!

tbh it's probs noncanon that jin lost to miguel as most tek endings are noncanon. but still - jin did lose to hwoarang (err... at least came to a draw with him. devil jin canonically lost to him tho LMAO) i guess he lost to lars, too in tek6 as well? and so on - jin has had many losses. there's a reason i often call him a Failboss. and jin's flaws probably outweigh his pros so like... no way jin's a mary sue and i just find it annoying when people try to insist on it. especially when these fans tend to be the type who think heihachi or kazuya can never lose to anyone else haha

i just wish people would realize that powerful characters, even characters who are very skilled in fields, aren't mary sues / gary stus. a character can be powerful and talented and still be a compelling character who isn't perfect.

after realizing what was happening, you started punching tsumu's back and ordering him to put you tf down. "sorry doll, but i wouldnt be much of a good bf if i let 'ya go to school sick, now would i?". you just went limp in his arms and accepted your defeat.

he took you into the kitchen and sat you on the countertop, giving you a quick peck on your nose before turning round and rummaging around in cupboards to find medicine. after finding the right one, he coaxes you into taking it because apparently "'ya may be his baby but 'ya cant act like one when you're the same age as him" (🙄).

proceeds to try and cook you some nice food but apparently he doesnt share his twin's cooking talent. so he sheepishly orders delivery after you convinced him to give it up. carries you up to bed AGAIN even though you tell him you're perfectly capable of walking up the stairs. throws pyjamas at you and orders you to change while he just changes it to what was supposed to be today's practice clothes, which reminds you to scold him for ditching school. pulls you onto his lap and shuts you up with a kiss. keeps trying to make out with you but you tell him you cant because you're sick. acts SUPER pouty about it but practically chucks you off of his knee onto the floor when he hears the doorbell for the food.

you jumped up out of bed, trying to ignore the dizziness in your head as you frantically searched for some clothes. however, darkness clouded your vision for a few seconds and you fell out cold onto your bedroom floor.

you woke up for a second time to tetsu's worried face and him shaking you awake. you stared back groggily at him. "tetsu... TETSU?!" you cried, your eyes shooting open. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE OH MY GOD IM SO SORRY IM SORRY FOR BEING LATE WE CAN STILL GO OUT RIGHT?". Kuroo looked at you super confused. 1. who do u think uses the most petnames

Erick, he has a silly sense of humor so I think he comes up with crazy and silly nicknames that catch on with the rest.

2. What pet names do you think they each like to call you ~romantically~

Richard- shorty/shawty or baby girl. He has a height complex (short with a big attitude) so he is def gonna use petnames that accentuate that he is bigger than you. Though, I also think he would be the one to call you like the most grand stuff to hype you up like "my diosa" or something like that.

Chris- Cutesy version of your name. In terms of like terms of endearment I think he constantly changes them up, like for a month he calls you sweetie, then two weeks he can't stop calling you whatever cute wording the used in their new single (like honeyboo for example) and so on. He has a fun personality and needs to keep it fun and light in the relationship too.

Zabdiel- He will absolutely call you Mi amor when he is annoyed/frustrated, almost all boricuas do that. Prob just goes with mami , bebe (or the less common variant beba) and if you have a middle name he would 100 call you that. With Zabdiel, I feel petnames is all about intimacy so when he uses each petname kind of becomes code words for his moods or his feelings or just some secret joke between you two.

Joel - the one that goes absolutely into the ridiculously sweet petnames. He will call you honey, sweeatheart, mi cielo, mi reina, mi vida and prob refers to you when talking to other people as "the love of my life". This boy is a hopeless romantic and the way he uses petnames reflect that.

Erick- creatively made up petname...maybe based on something that reminds him of you or maybe some silly but adorable version of your name. Whatever it is, Erick came up with it just for you and it will 100% make you feel special. He just seems to be the type that can find humor in everything and will turn that silly humor into fun petnames.

3. What petnames do they like to be called ~romantically~

Richard: I feel that though he doesn't really care much, he would kind of love it if you called him by his middle name. And well, the classic Papi I guess?

Chris: He would be so upset if you called him by his full first name, he automatically thinks he did something wrong when you do that. I think he would be fine with anything as long as you say it in the write tone, like if you say a sweet name but your tone isn't sweet he'd put a pouty face until you use the right tone...what you are actually using as a petname he doesnt care much.

Zabdiel: I think he prob likes to hear you say his name just like that. But he prob expect a similar version of what he calls you depending the situation so nicknames like Papi and bebé/bebo are prob tossed around the most.

Joel: anything is fair game except his name, he will call you like at least 3 petnames when talking to you and he expects the same treatment. Mi amor, mi rey, mi corazón, ect are some examples.

Erick: Prob the classic baby? Idk tbh 🙈 Maybe he is into animal petnames? Yeah, I can see that like you calling him by whatever animal the first plushie he gave you.

zab: i love the idea of nicknames varying by mood. and it just turns into a thing where you can kind of figure out where he’s at mentally based on what he says. mi amor when he’s annoyed or frustrated, but then bebe when he’s tired and just needs a hug. mami when he’s all needy, just TONS OF NICKNAMES. i can see him using a middle name esp if you don’t love it to make it all cutesy, or your last name.

Joel: yep.. that fucking tracks dskjjdhjkshk man loves love and he is sickly sweet w his pet names. it’s honestly cute how constant it is and esp since it’s all genuine it makes you SOFT man

erick: look i see erick pulling a christopher w those song themes pet names like my boo and shit but he’s super jokey with it, he also uses like those ridiculously over the top ones but always w some humor behind them. and name ones, 100%, he’s really cutesy and jokey with it.

So Lance canonically has a large family. Even if he's the youngest -which means no younger siblings to take care of, he probs has nephews. And I'm just thinking, growing up with siblings, and not to mention sometimes taking care of their kids makes a person grow up. Not my personal experience, but.. anyway I'm just wondering why was Lance the way he was at the beginning of the series. Idk i'd just say he'd be more mature after growing up in a big family and living apart from them at the garrison

from my own observation of the people around me irl, lance’s behavior and his entire personality is so realistic given that he’s the youngest sibling of a large family. my little brother acts a lot like lance and does anything to seek attention even tho he’s the house’s littlest resident who everybody spoils and adores. my uncle has a similar personality too - he’s the second youngest of 7 kids, and even though he knows when to act mature and serious, he’s still playful, teasing, affectionate, loud, and just loves to tick people off (especially my grandma lmao). he’s also, just like my little brother, really sensitive and attached to his mom (he literally told me that himself so it’s not merely my psychoanalysis bjkrjefre). they’re both really kind and ready to offer comfort and help to the distressed (i’ve been comforted by my 5 y/o brother more than i’ve been comforted by anyone else lmao). as for lance’s immature behavior despite him having younger nieces and nephews? my aunt (who’s the youngest member of my mom’s family) is much more immature than lance was if that’s even possible lmao (when she had to take care of me when we were younger it felt that i was the one in charge and not her haha). she’s in her twenties now but boy she still acts so immature  and silly i have to constantly remind her of her age smh. but im not saying lance is as irresponsible as she is lol - just meant to say that having smaller nieces and nephews doesn’t mean you’ll have to act like an older sibling and be as responsible and mature as they are. you’ll act like the aunt/uncle you are and try to show them that you’re better than their own older siblings and/or parents by indulging and spoiling them that you’ll practically turn into a kid yourself when you take care of them lmao

ahh! this is one of the coolest asks ive gotten. though id probably end up dead lol

i can be very stubborn and passive aggressive. and i feel like depending on his mood it might push him to his more darker extremes. esp if he made me mad. i would probably snap at him, or throw an insult back at him. when im hurt (emotionally or physically) i can shut down and be snappy. 'dont touch me, get away, oh yeah like you would know, etc' and that's how i would end up turned into a bug.

but also if im comfortable with someone... definitely full of playful teasing and stuff.

mans would pop into my passenger seat while im getting in the car and id be like 'okay cool hold my bag and my water and my ipod you're in their spot'. dangerous and omnipotent entity or not that seat comes with a job.

he would probably tease me relentlessly for being short. I will try to help!!! I'm really bad at explaining stuff tho so sorry if this is confusing or all over the place 😅<3 <3

What I think has helped me is for them to have their own lives/struggles and make sure they don't know everything. Like an example with my ocs is that Yennefer was abroad the entire time that the build up to Joker was happening. She had no clue what was going on and she was dealing with her own stuff, while Gideon was involved with a bit of what was going on but not enough that he over crowds the storyline, and Dahlia doesn't really care enough about Wellston stuff(tbh in what lore i have down she barely interacts with canon characters at all).

Even if your oc(s) go to Wellston instead of being at another school like mine, realistically they probs wouldn't know everything. I mean even though Sera and Arlo have shared information a lot and they're at the middle of the plot web, I still don't think they know everything that's happened.

I also try to have my ocs' personalities down to the t. This helps me get a better idea of how they react to things/what they'd get into. Like Gideon's very level headed and helpful, so it makes sense why he'd try to help Isen and why he'd help Arlo, even when he's not close with Arlo. Yennefer is a lil more selfish (like not to the point that it's bad, just that she puts herself and the people she cares about before other stuff) so it doesn't make sense for her to go putting her nose in everything that's going on at Wellston. The most likely thing she'd do is help Sera out as a favor bc she respects Sera, or maybe say hi to Remi and Blyke since she knows them from Turf Wars.

I don't have their personality traits wrote down or anything, I have a hard time doing that lol What I do is I get the vibes or aesthetic of them down and I put together playlists of music I associate with them/music I think they'd listen to. That way when I'm coming up with ideas I can listen to this music and it helps give me a better idea of their personalities.

MY main issue with ocs is wanting them to be involved with EVERYTHING, and I mean everything. Every plot point I like I feel the need to stick my ocs in. Which isn't smooth or 'accurate' and it tends to make scenes seem over crowded. That's partly why I gave Yennefer an abroad trip, to keep her away from Wellston since I couldn't decide which events I wanted her to be apart of/bc she didn't fit right anywhere + to give her some character development (also bc i think it'd be so much fun to do lmao especially bc of her psychometry power)

So ig the short version is just try to treat them as their own characters instead of add ons to the story😅
