“I thought you just wanted to see the decoration out on the street,” your fiancé groaned, though his eyes softened when he heard your laughter.

“Well, Satoru-kun did invite us, so it´s only polite to bring a gift. And besides, don´t think I didn´t notice you sneaking in presents for the students earlier.”

Nanami clicked his tongue and looked away, but you could see a light blush covering his cheeks.

“My cheeks are red because of the cold, (Y/N),” he warned when he noticed the amused glint in your eyes.

“Sure they are.”

He huffed.

You smiled at him. Half his face was hidden beneath a thick woollen scarf, ears dusted in red by the cold peeking out the deep blue of the fabric.

“I think he mentioned last time that he wanted to visit that place,” Nanami grumbled, effectively pulling you out of your musings to follow his finger pointing at a small café offering foreign sweets.

“Oh, this looks very comfortable,” you said, peering in through the windows. “Should we make a reservation for three? Satoru-kun has a week off soon, right? When was that again? Well, I´m sure he´ll enjoy visiting the café with you.”

Your fiancé sighed, but you could see a soft glimmer in his eyes as he took your hand and led you to the door.

“Yeah, I´m sure he´ll like that.”

He had brought you to a place from which you could see the city from above. You felt like you were looking at a field of stars – the faraway chimes of bells from the town festival in time with their glow. Snow had started to fall mere hours ago, and so there was a veil of white covering the land surrounding you two. 

“Here.”

You turned around, smiling at the sound of his soft voice, and took the warm cup he was offering you from his hands.

“Thank you, my love,” you whispered, before blowing into the cup to cool the drink down a little bit.

“Of course,” he murmured as he sat down beside you, careful not to bump into you. You giggled softly.

“Why are you so careful?”

His eyes widened and he blushed.

“I don´t want to disturb you.”

“You could never disturb me,” you laughed, pulling him closer to you. A gasp escaped his lips, but he settled down, holding you gently against his body.

Your eyes caught sight of his left hand and you picked it up. Gently, you started to play with his fingers, fascinated with the way the silver band looked against his pale skin. After a while he hummed, taking your hand and raising it to his lips. He pressed a delicate kiss to where silver met your skin.

“Thank you, for being here with me, (Y/N),” he whispered.

You only smiled and nuzzled deeper into his embrace.

As I liked the structure the Advent Calender gave me, I chose this as a title/schedule. Request: Easthies and reader taking care of 3 adopted children sjsgsjshs, and 2 of them is hyperactive

Warnings: reader is married to Ysheath. Though that feels more like a wish come true than a warning

So, you two decided to adopt three toddlers he found at work

They had immediately been attached to him, two excitedly rambling gibberish to him, the other gripping his cloak tightly, hiding behind his leg from Utowin and the others making fun of Ysheath who just stood like 🧍‍♂️

Warms up to them quickly

Literally, one second he's confused and might seem apalled to some, the next he's laughing and telling them stories, the shy one in his arms

Let's say the kids are magical, and their village had been attacked or sth, that way the politics are easier

Comes home that evening, presses the habitual kiss to your forehead and literally goes:

Would you be interested in having children?

After you nod, albeit confused, he tells the kids to come inside

He wasn't able to leave them with anyone else, because they started gripping onto his robes and cry, so he decided to bring them home immediately

And he knows you well, he was certain you'd agree

His smile is so sweet when you say yes

Now, I agree, with his work and all you'll have to stay home to take care of the children, but he makes so much time, coming in whenever he can during the day

Loves telling the children stories or going on walks with you all, talking to you, the shy one in his arms as the other two run around nature screaming and laughing to their little hearts' content

Because he thinks Utowin is best to look after the wilder two, he has him come over for a while, so the third one warms up to him

That way you two can go on date nights without worrying

Though you might come home to a bit of a mess and three through sleep-depravation crazy children climbing all over a laughing Utowin

Who flinches the moment he notices your arrival

To his surprise Ysheath only shakes his head - smiling

Everyone learns very quickly that - as long as his children are smiling - there is nothing that can turn Ysheath sour

Overall, you have a beautiful family with adorable children and the sweetest husband who is completely enamoured with you four

Oh, with them you get stuff done. It is silent the entire time and if they should notice you got distracted they will sigh and make you start learning again. Not the best teachers on the list (not enough patience, Tom can be lowkey passive aggressive if you don't get it quickly enough) , but you'll know the stuff in the end.

Remus Lupin, Akaashi Keiji

A bit more perceptible for jokes and the air, though mostly silent, is far more relaxed. You might even study on beds or cuddle whilst reading your texts. They have an insane amount of patience. Best teachers and best study partners! (Send one over, I still have stuff to do 😭)

Orugio, Damian Wayne, Tsukishima Kei

They aim to be as serious as Tom and Estheath/Ysheath. BUT they are so weak for you. You might be able to distract them and if you tell a joke, you might even see their lips twitch.

Quiffrey, Kuroo Tetsurou

Distraction comes a bit easier, but don't make any mistakes, they do want to study! And they are focused! However, there will be a lot more jokes and laughs included. By the way, they are also very good teachers. (Someone - anyone - please! 😫)

Okay this one's actually really cute. They will both be absolute angels. Trying to help you when needed and keeping quiet when you study. BUT. You are so pretty? How? You can't blame them for stealing glances or even staring the entire time.

Honestly, only because he's not studying himself. He loooves helping you study though. He's a pretty good teacher when it comes to you (others can suck it apparently) and will take his time explaining stuff to you. What a wondrous day of spring it was in the Great Hall, the stronghold of the pointed hat witches. You were standing in a hallway of the Assembly, the seat of those who sought to protect the secrets of the witches. You were waiting for Estheath, but something held you back. You were nervous, so very nervous. He was one of the Knights Moralis after all. The Deputy Officer of the Magic Security Council no less. Would he even…

You shook your head to get rid of the thought.

“Do it.”

You spun around and came face-to-face with Utowin, leaned to look over your shoulder, his eyes fixed on Estheath standing a few feet away. Then he turned his head to you, a smirk on his lips.

“Leave me alone,” you mumbled, feeling your face heat up. His smirk widened to give way for a short laugh and nudged you in the side whilst standing up straight again.

“But honestly do it. And do it now. ´Else I´ll do it myself.”

“You´re asking him out yourself?” you smiled.

“Hey, why not. If you can´t do it, I will. For you,” he added, his voice now serious.

“You wouldn´t dare,” you laughed.

He only shrugged and sauntered away.

And now you were back alone with your thoughts. You already started to miss Utowin´s presence. Then again, this was something you should do alone. But would he even reciprocate your feelings? He, a Deputy Officer, you, a-

“(Y/N), I did not expect to see you here?”

Oh no, oh no, he was standing right in front of you.

“Yes! I mean, well, I wanted to speak to you?”

Your face was on fire, heart racing, hands gripping unto your witches’ robes.

“Here?” he discreetly looked at the yelling twins a bit farther off, jumping around - “like mad men”, as he would say.

“We can go to Argentgard, the Silverwood trees are even more beautiful at this time of the year. That is actually what I came to ask you. Maybe a little walk after your duties for today?”

He nodded slowly.

“I believe I can arrange that.”

Then a smile graced his lips, and he gave you a quick nod before leaving to scold his subordinates.

The Silverwood trees stood proud and tall, wind blowing softly through the leaves. Many witches were out bustling on the main streets of the Great Hall, for a Spring Festival was being held. Beldaruit was said to be there as well, and you were sure of it too, after all, what better place to see magical peculiarities at, than the magnificent festivals the town offered.

You saw tiny flowers on your way to the grove, breaking their way through the sun-warmed earth to welcome the light of day. Blue and yellow and pink were they, little things of beauty and childish grace. For a second you hoped he wouldn´t come. To have this image of blooming nature for yourself alone, but you shook away that thought and then you heard the soft rustling of robes behind you and knew he was there.

And what a sight to behold he was. His long hair flowing with the breeze, flower petals following its path.

“(Y/N),” the corners of his lips moving upwards a little as he spoke.

“Deputy Officer Estheath,” you bowed your head a bit, a small smile on your lips, on the verge of teasing.

A finger appeared under your chin to softly lift it.

“Please, (Y/N), don´t be all to childish,” he said, but the glimmer in his eyes gave his amusement away.

His gaze was soft and warm, his eyes a stark contrast to the pink flowers you could see grazing the path behind him. How much knowledge these eyes held, you could only imagine, and to get only a piece of it, just a bit more than the fleeting tastes you got on your occasional walks through the Argentgard together.

You broke away just when his fingers disappeared. He offered you his arm, which you gladly took. He was comfortable with you, you reasoned, and Utowin wouldn´t encourage you if there was no hope. You breathed in to prepare and-

“Look,” his hushed voice interrupted your thoughts. As you followed his gaze you saw a deer with her fawn a little away from the path, to your right, behind the Silverwood trees. “You see the fawn laying there? It must have been born not too long ago.”

At that moment, the mother looked up to look at you two. Slowly, Estheath led you down the path, now more on the left, further away from the mother and her fawn.

Birds were chirping their songs on the tops of the trees and the rustling in the bushes gave away some foxes and rabbits, and even a straying cat once. It was calm, and warm and – above all – quiet. You knew he enjoyed the quiet, only saying the occasional word, pointing out some animals or rare and beautiful plants. And so did you, next to him. Like this, you were at ease.

You sat down at a riverbank, rippling away into the trees towards the town. At this point, you couldn´t even remember why you had been so nervous before. You would always be safest with him.

“Estheath,” your voice matching the tranquillity of the place, as not to disrupt it.

His fingers grazed your hand telling you to continue.

“If I am a butterfly, you are the flowers.”

“Just as I am drawn to you.”

You smiled to yourself, he always did understand you. One of the countless things you loved about him.

“And what does that make us?”

Both of you looking out to the river.

“Two magnets seeking to touch.”

“And what if they do?”

He stayed silent and you looked up at him. His eyes were fixed on the river and his cheeks were dusted in the shade of cherry blossoms. So you answered for him, eyes solely on him:

“They find completion not within themselves, but in what they had felt and desired for so long; finally satisfied and calm.”

At that he looked at you. Then he raised his hand to lift your chin yet again and when you finally cradled his face in your hands, your lips met his. Softly and satisfying.

Truly, there had never been anything to be worried about. Not here, next to him and his lips on yours on this wondrous day of spring.

hello, this is 🥝 anon! I want to request something a little angsty. whether this ends up as a list of headcanons or a scenario is up to you, whatever is easiest! with ysheath, how about a reader who fancied him (they both didn't confess ever, but people kind of knew). Reader begins to slowly realize they don't agree with how things are done with the witches after graduating from student-dom, much like olruggio, but isn't vocal about their beliefs, they just slowly distance themselves from the great hall (not betray, of course). what would happen if, after a long time of not seeing each other, they happen upon each other? I'll leave any implications up to you, I had a lot of trouble condensing my thoughts and this feels a bit convoluted so you don't have to incorporate everything!! thank you

Synopsis: reader has distanced themselves from the Great Hall, and meets him again after years

Note: I forgot why he criticised them, so I just looked it up on his wiki right now and found this: "Olruggio’s kindness towards others forces him to begin to question the laws of witch society, specifically laws against witches practicing medicine and introducing non- witches to magic.", so I hope that's the critique you meant

Note 2: This includes writing in headcanons. Idk. Also, I realised this sort of angst is alright with me, even without happy ending. 😊

Both of you painfully obvious with your feelings

Not so secretive touches that linger too long to be anything other than romantic

Quiffrey teasing both of you, sometimes when you were all together, you and Ysheath blushing

But he was too serious about his studies, and you, too, had no time to confess

At least that's what you and him always told yourselfs

And then you came across a sentence in your books

Barely noticable

But that was enough to make you think

How was it ethical to deprive the injured from health?

What is more:

How was it ethical to leave people to die?

And then these sentences started to pile up

What gives us the right to practice witchcraft?

Who decides that?

And so, when you finally passed your test, you left the Great Hall, living close to a Watchful Eye who lived a bit away from that place

But that also meant you had to leave Ysheath behind

Years went by and you didn't step foot into the Great Hall

And when you did again, all these years later, of course you crossed paths with Ysheath

You had hoped, on your way there, that if you saw him, he wouldn't see you

And you did see him first

But unfortunately you froze at the sight of him

He had grown even taller, you noticed. His posture was as elegant as ever and his movements were soft and fluid, while still retaining a sense of authority.

His hair was taken by a breeze, beautiful and black

And his eyes as red as rubies-

Oh.

You saw his eyes widen for a second and then he turned around to his companions again

Your heart sunk, but you weren't surprised.

But then he turned around again and made his way towards you

Still frozen, your mind raced and your breath quickened

And then he was right in front of you

Your mouth opened, but not a single sound left it

"It has been a while, (Y/N),"

He bowed his head

You hurriedly mimicked him

"I've missed you,"

-left your mouth before you could stop it

His lips pressed into a line

"You knew where to find me."

"I know, I know, I'm sorry. I don't know how- I didn't... I'm sorry"

"How have you been?"

He seemed like he was forcing small talk

"Alright. I'm staying close to that one town at the riverbank, we went there once, remember?"

He hummed, his eyes still piercing you

You looked down at your feet

I'm really gonna get carried away

(I kinda wanna take this and expand this part, but I also don't wanna write angst without a happy ending 😫)

Which kinda, unfortunately, brings me to this:

I don't think this would work out

Maybe if they hadn't distanced themselves

I think he could live with this critique

He'd probably understand the critique concerning healing, though he might not share it

But now

If they really broke contact, he would have been heartbroken

He wouldn't forgive them, he'd always be hurt

He trusted them

He had hoped to spend his life with them, after all, everyone, including them too, knew about their feelings for eachother

I honestly don't think the s/o could save this.

Note: Okay so... I had to reread and continue reading the story because it's been so long and because his scenes are scarce, but I think I've got it now! Witch Hat Atelier has now been officially added to my Fandoms for requests.

Warnings: vague Spoiler (Vol.7 Ch. 40 I believe) on the last bulletpoint. Kisses and fluff.

So...

He has like two scenes 😭

But, as we can all probably agree, he's really pretty!

Now, first things first, I don't think he's very much into PDA

Maaaaybe, if he had freetime and you went to a festival, he miiiight hold your hand. But he will have his cheeks tinted red the entire time.

Also: none of the Magic Security Council or Quiffrey will see that you're holding hands, or touching at all and especially not that he's blushing!

Therefore he would prefer spending time with you in calmer places.

A walk through the forest in the early morning

Especially when it's still a bit cold and he sees your - from lack of fresh air - paled skin gain colour.

The smile on your lips when you see a little animal

Or a pretty flower

He lives for that.

(Favourite memory: you in spring with flowers in your hair laughing and dancing around.)

(Another one: same day, a few minutes later. A smile on your lips as you listen to his worries, softness in your eyes. You looked so kind and sweet? How? Also, please marry him?

In the forest he might even give you a small peck on the cheek, temple, forehead or - god forbid- your lips

If you're really deep in the forest, sitting next to a waterfall or another very romantic spot, he might even kiss you a bit longer 😳

Honestly, I have to put this here because one line took me by surprise

"Don't belittle children, Utowin. Of all the people in the world, none are more unfettered"

(I honestly thought, after the whole river bank ordeal, that he didn't like children)

He wants you to think he is a very serious and respected man (he is) and you seeing the actual team - especially the twins- makes him slightly embarrassed.

Quiffrey x gn!reader

Okay so, everyone knows

I think I mentioned before that he is clingy and touchstarved and literally lives to see you flustered so

Why did anyone think it would work?

He might not be latching unto you as much as he'd like (read: drape himself over you 24/7)

But his eyes are usually trained on you. Either completely simping which always makes Agethe roll her eyes at him

Or he looks at you with a fond look in his eyes, a smile tugging at his lips

That one the kids don't usually see, because it happens whenever you're helping them learn

He loves seeing you like this

It tugs at his heart

He's torn between making you become a Professor to share the Atelier (unless you already are) and asking to get children of your own (even though he knows now might not be the best time for it)

All in all, he's a simp so

Really, no way you're hiding it

I think one of the kids would slip up and let him know that everyone knows.

Even Estheath knows, and you haven't even seen him in months.

Oruggio is also done

Like, he's happy

But he's so tired and Quiffrey's antics don't help

Sometimes when they watch you with the kids Quiffrey'll lean into his hand and sigh dreamily

That, without fail, makes Oruggio stand up and lock himself into his room

He's absolutely sick of the simping 😂

It is going to be a fun experience though, mostly because there is no way noone knows.

Moving on to the overall stuff

Agethe respects you so much, it's insane

Sometimes she comes to you for help, because she just cannot deal with Quiffrey at the moment.

It's similar with Riche

The other two just go to whoever is closest

Quiffrey is in the same room?

Bombarded with questions

You're walking past them?

Now you have to stay to explain the entire history of witchcraft in excruciating detail

Oruggio left his room once?

He isn't going back for 2 hours.

You and Oruggio sometimes sit down to watch Quiffrey teach the kids something new, giggling to yourselves or making fun of him

Other times you go on walks together or he bounces ideas for new inventions off of you

He values your opinion a lot

And whenever you tell him of problems you have, he will immediately start thinking about how he could fix them with a new invention

Such a sweetheart

(Also, you don't get that from me, but this man loves hugs and cuddles, though they are a bit more intimate for him meaning only with his few friends or his s.o. and definitely not in public)

You are like the fairy godparent of the Atelier

Being a parental figure for the kids

Grounding Quiffrey

And making sure Oruggio doesn't loose his mind

And for that they all shower you in love, each in their own way:

Oruggio's is Quality time. Sitting in silence, nonsensical conversations, serious conversations, philosophy, you name it

And Quiffrey's is essentially everything? But I guess mostly Physical Touch. He tries so bad to be sneaky, but he has his days were he's clinging unto you for the majority of the day
