You’d known the Mikaelsons for a very long time. For almost your entire life you were one of them. Growing up with the Mikaelsons was something you look back on from time to time.

Being kids running through the trails, hiding out from the wolves in your village, and dueling with Niklaus and Elijah almost everyday just to put them in their place was your definition of a good life. Your family was nothing like the Mikaelson family. They were always so close knit, and they welcomed you with open arms.

You loved them dearly, but you loved one of them different from the rest.

Elijah Mikaelson was your love.

You had completely fallen for this Mikaelson brother, and you had fallen quite hard.

“(Y/N)!” Elijah called out, two swords in hand. You lightly smiled at him as he smirked and tossed you one of the blades.

“You challenge me to a duel?” You played. “You ought to be careful who you challenge around here Lijah,” you teased, “one day I won’t be so kind as to hold back.”

“Oh is that so?” He chuckled with an amused smile. He playfully wielded his sword and motioned you towards him. “Don’t hold back, m’lady.”

You giggled as you whipped the sword around, swinging it in circles as you’ve been practicing. Elijah watched with a proud smile on his face as you got into a fighting stance.

“You are not ready for what’s about to come Lijah,” you teased.

Before you could even begin a duel, Niklaus’ cry echoed through the village.

You and Elijah dropped your swords and ran out to where Niklaus was walking. The rest of the Mikaelson family came in tow from their shack.

You gasped as you took notice of what Niklaus carried in his hands. Their youngest brother Henrik dead in Niklaus’ arms.

Rebekah sobbed as she saw her smallest brother lifeless.

From that moment on, a lot had changed for the Mikaelson family.

After their mother Ester had turned them into vampires, she couldn’t bare the thought of losing you, the girl she called her other daughter.

After the Mikaelson family had all of their splits, and falling outs, and daggerings, you were still there, but you were there for one Mikaelson sibling more than the rest.

Elijah was absolutely, positively infatuated with you.

The more time you spent together, as time went on and the hours turned to days, the days to weeks, the weeks, to years, and the years to centuries with you, he couldn’t see you in any other light. You were the one for him.

It was late in the 1400s when Elijah finally expressed to you how he felt. You, him, and Niklaus were living together in Italy, and he had finally gotten the courage to explain just how much you meant to him.

A party was going around. Niklaus had thrown it in hopes of drawing out the doppelganger to break his timely curse.

As you danced with the strangers around you, Elijah watched from the wall.

“My, my, brother,” Niklaus tsked, “I’d thought that by now you’d have expressed your love for (Y/N).” He smirked as he watched his brother roll his eyes. “Or at least got the courage to pursue her.”

Elijah scoffed, “it is not as simple as you may think, brother. (Y/N) is the best kind of woman. She’s kind and delicate. Even after all we’ve been through, she manages to see the light in every situation.”

Elijah scanned his eyes over the room, a crowd of people surrounded you, all wanting to join in on the fun dance you are having. “She lights up every room, and people just want to be around her. She will meet a million people in this eternal lifetime, and I don’t want to get caught up with my feelings and end up losing her to one of them.”

“Oh, for fuck’s sake, Lijah, why do you always have to be so negative?” Klaus scoffed. “Get over there and ask her to dance. I know for certain she will be swooning over you so hard she’ll forget how to even move her feet.”

Elijah chuckled at this, and took a few more minutes to watch you dance, thinking long and hard if he really wanted to do this. He decided he didn’t want to sit around and wait for some other man to sweep you off his feet. He wanted to be the one to do so.

In a flash, Elijah was off the wall and in the middle of the dance floor, right where you resided.

When you saw him beside you, your eyes lit up and a smile graced your face.

“My, my,” you teased, “I’d never thought I’d see the day where the Elijah Mikaelson joined me on the dance floor.”

Elijah chuckled and lightly rubbed the back of his neck. “It would have happened eventually, darling. We’ve got an eternity of life to live together.”

His eyes slightly widened as he heard what he said. “Not that I mean our lives together together like romantically, more that we’re both immortal and we happen to spend all of our time together. Us and Niklaus of course, but mainly us.”

Elijah was a stammering mess at this point, but that only made your heart rate pick up. You thought it was adorable when he got nervous around you. You liked that you were the only thing in this world that made him nervous.

“I know what you’re saying Lijah.” You smiled as you placed a hand on his shoulder. “Although, would it really be such a terrible thing?”

Elijah cocked his head in confusion. “Would... you mean would being together romantically be a bad thing?”

You nodded your head as you shyly waited for his response. You didn’t want to wait any longer. It had been centuries since you first started loving Elijah, and you didn’t want to sit behind these bottled up feelings any longer.

Elijah’s heart was racing. He was trying to find the words to say how he felt without joyfully screaming in your face.

He couldn’t contain his emotions, and a grin broke out onto his face. “(Y/N), I fear if I back out now I’ll never have another opportunity to tell you this.”

You stared into his eyes, your heart racing, pulsing out of your chest as you hang on to every word he says.

Elijah opened his mouth to say something, but nothing came out. He blubbed like a fish before he shook his head and chuckled a little which made you giggle.

“I’m sorry, you just still make me nervous after all these years.” He confessed.

“I make you nervous?”

Elijah wet his lips as he stared down at yours. “Your beauty makes me nervous. Your confidence and your kindness pull me in. You intelligence and strength keeps me going. You are everything to me, (Y/N).”

Elijah never broke eye contact. As he poured his heart out to you, you could see in his eyes that he meant every last word of what he said.

“I love you, (Y/N).” He breathed out. “I’ve always loved you.”

That was just the beginning.

Since that day in the late 1400s, Elijah has always had you by his side.

Present day, almost a thousand years since you’ve first fallen for him, you still knew that he was the man you wanted to spend your eternity with. Elijah was just as loving and sweet as he was the day he confessed his love for you.

Once he had you, all he did was worship the ground you walked on. He wanted to be your best friend, your partner in crime, your lover, and your rock all in one.

And he was.

Elijah was everything you could have ever asked for, and you couldn’t wait to spend the rest of your eternity with the man your heart belonged to.

The worst family award really does go to the Mikaelsons'. Whilst your family lived in New Orleans, you really couldn't leave Mystic Falls, sure, you had to endure Damon Salvatore - but if that was the price you had to pay to stay away from your family, then you take it any day a million times over.

It wasn't that you hated your family, it was a love and hate relationship. You hated how you were constantly bickering, fighting, and attempting to murder each other. But, there were times you had each other's back, even if that means sacrificing yourself for them. They were grateful and ungrateful to be related to each other.

But, for once, you wanted to have a quiet life and not be by their side constantly. You wanted to live a life where you had the freedom to do whatever you wanted without one of your siblings breathing down your neck or the threat of being in a coffin for god knows how long.

The thing is, you know deep down that you never really hated your siblings. Sure, they had their moments, but it wasn't really about them. It was your mother and your father.

So, you weren't expecting to see the whole family at the door in the middle of the night.

"Fuck off."

"Rude," Rebekah said from the back as you attempted to shut the door in their face before Elijah stuck his foot in the door.

"Can't I have a century to myself?" you grumbled as you opened the door for them to settle back into the manor.

You walked away from the door, hoping to get some sleep again as you were about to leave, you looked over your shoulder watching each individual come through the door.

Your niece Hope gives you a small wave as you smile back at her before it dropped to see the last two enter the manor.

"You must be mad."

"Hear us out-"

"I think I rather die," You spat at your brother, Finn, who tried to explain, "You're no better."

"Well, thanks."

Elijah sighed, stepping forward, "(Y/n), please hear us out."

You turned around fully to look at them, looking down from your spot on the stairs. Your arms crossed over your chest as your parents looked at you apprehensively. Your eyebrow raised as you wait for the explanation.

Sure, you hear all the gossip and life-changing things through the phone, but this was a pretty big thing to leave out during the weekly calls. Klaus looks up to you, he couldn't help but smirk to himself a little - he really sees a bit of himself in you.

"Hayley, darling, take Hope to her room," Klaus instructed, "I fear this might get dirty."

Hayley didn't need to be told twice, holding her hand out to her daughter as she pass you by on the stairs, giving you a tight smile before disappearing.

"We're not happy as well," Klaus admitted, as he gives Ester and Mikael a dirty look, "and we wouldn't be here if we didn't need to."

"But?"

"Things got complicated, after we get this sorted, you can live out your peaceful century," Elijah finished off as you didn't look satisfied, you swallowed your pride before casting a glare at your parents.

"I'm not happy about this arrangement, couldn't you leave them in Louisana? Or anywhere but here?"

"Give us a chance," Ester softly spoke as you turn to look at her, she takes a step back from the daggers you were staring at her.

"Why?" You hissed, the venom dripping with the word, "Why should I give you a chance, given our past with you trying to kill me and my siblings, so why now should I give you a chance?"

"We're family," Mikael spoke.

"Family?" You uttered out, surprised as your siblings looked at each other apprehensively, "We might share the same blood, but we're not family."

Your parents watch how your siblings looked anywhere but you, they felt fearful for once. You were never the type to be angry and when you do, usually something really pissed you off. See Elijah was calm and collected one, but easily ticked off, so you and the rest of the Mikaelsons were used to his anger.

Kol and Klaus were often angry, so it was rare for them to feel anything other than anger, so it didn't phase anyone else. Rebekah was known to be driven by her emotions - her anger is usually misplaced but sometimes correct in her judgement. Freya and Finn had hardly been with the family, but they've seen glimpse of their anger in their short time.

But you, you were never the angry type, you leave that to your family. You were the quiet one, someone who lives in the moment, you thought anger was such a pointless emotion. In the thousand years, you have been alive, they have seen your anger about three times.

Every time, you killed more than their century of murders. Your anger is harder to control, and at the end of the day, it was always justified.

"You don't get to waltz in here and dictate that we're family again, no not this time," You step down from your spot, inching closer to your parents.

"You'll always need your parents."

"Then where were you when I needed you most?" You shouted, your red eyes making an appearance briefly before settling back to your (e/c), "I was a kid! You took turns taking your anger on me, I was a kid!"

"You needed discipline," Mikael tried to justify.

"I needed love and care, not some scowling and hits! I was the one to be punished for my siblings' mistakes, you tell me as I was growing up that I was the other kid to be brought into this family to keep it from falling apart. I'm not expecting to be worshipped, but be coddle and held by my own parents."

"Brother," Kol murmured, hoping to bring you down from such a height of anger.

"Shut it!" You pointed at Kol, who merely lowers his head, "They need to hear this."

"Undoubtedly," Klaus whispered, though everyone heard.

"All that I did to try to undo it, make this family a whole, all of my pain and all your excuses was my whole existence, I was a burden to the family in your eyes. I was a kid but I wasn't clueless, and one thing I know someone who loves you wouldn't do this."

There was silence, your throat felt rough, and there were tears in your eyes as you wipe them away furiously - not wanting to look weak in anyone's eyes. You sniffled before standing straight to give them one last look, before turning to your siblings.

"I don't care what you guys are planning to do, but get them out of my face, out of town, whatever you need to do. And if I were to find that they are still here, I will kill them whether or not you need them in your plan."

"(Y/n)," Elijah injected as you looked at him with a disapproving look to him.

"I might be younger than you, Elijah, but do not think I will not stick to my word," You threatened as he nodded mutely, hating himself that he becomes submissive in your space of anger.

The Mikaelsons all looked pathetic, you were the youngest out of all of them, and yet, all of them were afraid to even breathe in your direction. Hell, Klaus feels stupid, he's the devil in his own eyes so why is he threatened by his own blood?

They mutely looked at each other, refusing to look in their parent's direction, afraid to be accused of helping them in your eyes. They didn't know what to do in this situation, as all the siblings have a say in this shared manor, you seem to be adamant about not sharing your living space and they did not want to break your trust.

They care more about your feelings than the people who were supposed to raise them.

"Give us some time, (Y/n)," Rebekah bargained, your eyes softening to her, before sighing.

"Why should I? I'm not giving them a chance as they did with me. They wanted to raise someone who is merciless. Fine, that's what they get."

"But-"

"After all, I'm born as a Mikaelson for a reason."

I have been in love with the Original hybrid, Niklaus Mikaelson for years, actually I have been in love with him since he saved me and turned me into a vampire 200 years ago. I had always tried to make Nik happy, always stood by his side and never judge him, Nik on the other hand never saw any interest in me as a lover, he always saw me as his best friend.

I wasn't just Niks' best friend I was also Bexs and Kols' I was doing pretty good with Finn and Elijah was my book buddy. Most of the Mikaelson siblings have treated me like their family and for that I am grateful, but I didn't have the one thing I wanted,Nik

I have watched Nik with other women for years, it was never something serious, but now he fancies Caroline Forbes and she does mean a lot to him. My heart broke everything time I saw them together, but can't tell him anything about it he isn't mine to love.

It was the day of the Mikaelson Ball, I had overheard Ester telling Nik to bring a date, I hoped that he would ask me , but that never happened. I went down the stairs, I saw Nik but not alone he was with Caroline, of course he would be with her what was I thinking when I thought that he would ask me.

Soon enough it was time to dance I didn't have a partner and so I thought that i should go back to my room, but before I could go I felt a hand on my shoulder turning around I realized that it was Damon Salvatore, he asked me to dance and how could I refuse, he has been nothing but good to me ever since I got in town.

While me and Damon were dancing I couldn't help but look over at Nik who was dancing with Caroline, Damon noticed " He doesn't deserve you, he doesn't even notice you. You deserve someone who can make you happy" I looked at him shocked he knew of my feelings for Nik " don't look so surprised it's obvious". I signed " I can't help it Damon" and suddenly we changed partners and I was in familiar arms, Niks arms " I see you fancy the enemy" he smirked "Well I was hoping you would ask me to be your date but you didn't" he looked at me with something in his eyes he had never looked at me before ,it was like he was tired of me.

Nik took me out of the crowd and into his room, he looked really angry " You know you have really started to get on my nerves, can't you see that I'm not interested in you. So many years have passes and yet you refuse to move on, you have gotten really tiring and sometimes I just wished I hadn't saved you" after I heard those hurtful words I couldn't help but cry he hates me, the man that I love hates me. I couldn't just stand there and let him see me cry so I left to go outside.

I really needed fresh air, it felt like I couldn't breathe, why does he hate me so much, all I ever did was love him. I was broken out of my thoughts by Damon who hugged me, I told him what happened and he wasn't happy about it he wondered how could someone be so cruel to someone like Y/n, someone so sweet.

Damon took me to my room, runned me a bath, gave me a new pair of PJ and tucked me in bed. He was going to leave but I asked him to stay, I felt safe with him for some odd reason. Damon did stay and we cuddled to sleep, I could say that it was one of the few times I fell asleep feeling so... safe.

KLAUS POV

I was angry today Caroline keeps judging me but I fancy her and I don't want to take my anger out on her, so I accidentally took it out on y/n. I always do this, but she always comes back, tho she never judged me. I should apologize I was too harsh this time.

So I headed towards her room, but the sight in front of me for some odd reason broke my heart. Y/n was asleep with Damon Salvatore cuddling, while smiling in her sleep, how could she she is supposed to be in love with me, not him.

I went back to my room but I could not sleep, why did it effect me so much that they where sleeping together, why do I want it to be me instead of Damon? I'm not in love with her, I can't be right?

As for my own edits , Henrik died at age 18, to make it appropriate for this roleplay. He died at the hands a wolf, and died in his families arms. This was over 1000 years ago. He was taken to the other side, and as he has warlock blood, he watched his family from a far. He had been moved from other supernatural kind to watch his siblings, and for every wrong doing they made, he would pay for it. Any deaths they caused, he felt them, causing a lot of irreversible psychological trauma for him.

He has been brought back to 'put an end' to his siblings, and he resents them for what he has had to go through at their hands.

It was about noon, the sun high in the sky. The weather was nice, warm but not hot, with a cool breeze. Perfect for crafting outside.

Which was what Tatia was doing as the little blonde strolled up. Rebekah Mikaelson. The only daughter of Ester Mikaelson. She couldnt be more than twelve at this point, but she, like all little girls at that age had been hit with baby fever.

She often came to visit so she could play with Astrid, Tatia’s daughter. Always bringing little gifts like bred, berries, or goats milk from Ester. Tatia was a family favourite.

The brunette often made jokes that Rebekah was a Fae in disguise, always trying to whisk Astrid away from her. It was affectionate, and stated as such.

Tatia set her project aside and rose from her work place, she brushed off her dress and started to approach the girl with intentions to meet her in the middle.

“Have the fae come to visit me again?” She smiled, inclining her head at the younger girl. “My lady Rebekah, to what do I owe the honour of your presence?”

Honestly somebody should @ Julie Pec the question, why wasn't Bonnie at the Mikaelson ball??! Like I legit want to know why you omitted the most key character/witch (who saves the day everytime a catastrophe hits) from an important event. You really think Klaus or Ester weren't interested in knowing the descendant of one of the most powerful witch bloodlines & that they could possibly want to use her/make a deal to leverage their own power??

lol I'm sure she screens interview questions. People must have thought about this a lot.
