Debris Season 1 Episode 7 Review: You Can Call Her Caroline
Things are really heating up now!
On Debris Season 1 Episode 7, a little girl and her uncle were at the center of a case that revealed more about Bryan’s past in the military.
While Bryan and Finola were otherwise engaged, Maddox got significant information from Ash, who was under great duress.
Is there anybody else out there who still sees Benjamin Hollingsworth and catapults back to the 2015…
Steffi was in her living room, looking around for anything she might have forgotten to pack when she heard a knock on the door, pulling her out of her thoughts. She frowned, wondering who might be there - she certainly wasn’t expecting anyone, so the options that came to mind were mostly unpleasant. Sighing, she made her way over, walking around the luggage she’d neatly stacked by the door to take a look through the peephole. Caroline? That was a surprise. She opened the door, expression impassive - she didn’t know what had driven her ex to show up here unprompted, and she certainly wasn’t going to display any sort of emotion until she knew how she should be feeling about this development. “Can I help you?”
Genuine Question: Are Any of the Straight Couples in Stardew Valley Happily Married?
George and Evelyn: While I have no doubt there’s some affection in this relationship, George is such a miserable, constantly kvetching crank that he must just be an exhausting, enervating person to live with. At every festival Evelyn is just happy to be there and George just shits on literally everything. Evelyn has the patience of a saint - even before we consider that she has to share her house with self-absorbed meat-head Alex.
Jodi and Kent: When you first meet Jodi she’s an exhausted single-parent trying to raising a young kid and slavishly devote herself to looking after her adult son (and if you think otherwise note that Sam has the largest bedroom in the house full of expensive musical instruments while Jodi sleeps in the closet.) By year two she’s joined by her closed-off, emotionally-distant, traumatized husband whose primary leisure activity is to go stand outside alone
Jodi almost always seems tired and miserable, and KEnt jsut seems to broken to realy be there for her.
Caroline and Pierre: Pierre is a greedy, self-centred, control freak who only cares about money. Caroline expresses to you more than once that she wished Pieere would spend time with his family: at jsut about every festival he focuses solely on earing coin, and outside of non-raining Fridays where he goes alone to the Saloon, the man never leaves the house. He takes one day off a week - staying indoors the entire time.- until you fix the community centre in which case he just works more. Adding to that the long-standing speculation that Abigail isn’t even Pierre’s kid - this marriage is grossly unhappy, and once Abigail leaves home I can’t see it lasting.
Robin and Demetrius: Robin and Demetrius strike me as one of those couples who got so caught up in raising kids and working that they’ve reached middle age and are only now discovering that they don’t really share any interests or ahvemuch in common, despite twenty-odd years of co-habitation. The two seems to genuinely like each other, don’t get me wrong, but the few person-to-person cutscenes you get are trying to settle arguments between them. Demetrius seems to struggle to be emotive and passionate, which clashes against Robin’s energy and artistic sensibilities. IS there love? Yes. are the happy? That’s a... much hrder question to answer. I mean all marriages require work, and few couple are happy all of the time, but are these two happy often enough to call their marriage a happy one?
Clint and Mew Mew Kissy Cutie dakimakura: This relationship is as toxic as it gets. No pillow deserves that kind of treatment.
So my question stands: ARE any of the straight couples in a happy, fulfilling relationship? Or are they all just finding themselves settling, giving-in to complacency and inertia?
