have this idea for a story that's like one of the best I've come up with but everything I have written out for it so far is just sooo cute and it's not meant to be cute!! I'm not a Super Big horror person but that's what I want out of it! there are TWO developed characters in the entire thing because pov character cannot recognize other people! (it's kinda a steampunk vibe so they're like. blank faced machinery. idk I'll flesh it out more later) but it's like. he literally is not human enough to even comprehend others of his own species. he doesn't know who he is anymore, not really, because he's become so comfortable in the perspective the only other real, existing character has of him. and everything I have in my head right now has been OMG THEY CAN GO ON CUTE DATES literally I have a whole scene in a coffeeshop planned out. what am I doing man. even my working title is adorable and absolutely not meant for this

can you please write a lukamos story where real madrid lost against barcelona and sergio is really mad at the team but only luka can calm him down.
Thank youu🫶🏼
sorry this took so long I ran out of storage in my Google docs :(( but here it is!!
pairing: Sergio Ramos/luka modric
wordcount: 857
the referee blew his whistle, signifying the match was over.
the team dragged themselves off the pitch, and Luka looked at the scoreboard one last time. 5-0 in favour of Barcelona.
luka sighed and rubbed his face, he mentally prepared himself for one of Sergio's outbursts once he got to the locker room.
it was a horrible game, with little to no possession of the ball hardly any of their shots were on target. luka felt so disappointed in himself. he could've performed better, he knew it. he felt his eyes start to get heavy, and tears started crushing up toward his eyes.
he couldn't cry, not now anyway. he has to help his team first, he can only wonder what the sorrow of his teammates is like. he was the calm one, the logical one, and he should act like it.
he walked through the tunnel, dread cutting his insides as he made his way to the locker room.
as soon as he entered he found himself suffocating in the tense air. he walked over to his bench and it felt like he has 100-pound weights resting on his shoulders.
glancing around he saw tense shoulders and lowered heads. but oddly, no Sergio. That couldn't mean anything good, perhaps Sergio took Luka's advice to cool down when he felt angry. luka could only hope that was it.
luka sighed and rubbed his face, he'll find Sergio to make sure he's okay later. he can't trust Sergio to be alone who knows where.
he grabbed his bag and rummaged for his towel, he guessed most of the team will go straight home. especially to hide after that horrifying game. though he took his jersey off leaving just a long-sleeved white t-shirt he heard a door fly open quite harshly.
luka turned around, he noticed most of his teammates had already left without saying goodbye. he spotted Sergio, still in his kit and breathing heavily. oh boy, this could only go well.
“That was a fucking horrible game, ” Sergio started up, his voice only raised slightly.
Sergio never looked like himself when he was frustrated, he never did. almost like he was taken over. it didn't feel natural.
a brave soul spoke up.
“We know, Sergio, what's your point? ”
it was Gareth, of course, it was. Gareth was mostly calm but he did stir the pot. it always resulted in arguments and fights between the two.
“my point? there is no point.” Sergio spat, making his way over to Gareth who tensed up immediately.
“you all played shitty, and instead of trying to understand why everyone played like they lost a leg. I find half the fucking team gone-” Sergio pushed Gareth but he stood his ground. “and the rest of you fucking sulking like injured dogs. ” Sergio was real close to Gareth. thankfully Gareth didn't do anything psychical but he provoked Sergio.
“Maybe if you did your job, as captain, and didn't fuck off out of nowhere, you could've gone over strategies. but I forgot you're a shitty captain. ”
Sergio punched Gareth.
gareth only scoffed.
“and control your anger issu-”
luka intervened.
“Gareth! Please, be quiet.” he walked over to the two, Gareth followed his orders but they didn't take their eyes off each other.
“Sergio, look at me” Luka grabbed his arm, trying to slowly guide him away from Gareth. but he was not for moving.
“Sergio,” Luka said as a warning.
“Luka did you hear what the bastard said? ”he finally peeled his eyes away from Gareth and looked at the small Croat next to him.
“yes I did Sergi, he's just being an arsehole and winding you up. ” Luka glared at Gareth who only looked away.
luka felt like a nursery teacher.
he managed to break the two apart and the Welshmen had left. Luka looked around the changing room, the whole team had left. probably to get away from another fight.
luka grabbed both of Sergio's biceps and sat him down on the bench. he crouched down in front of him and gave him a stern look.
“I'm not a child, Luka,” he stated, Sergio didn't like getting babied, he was a grown-ass man.
luka sighed and maintained eye contact with him.
“yes, but you act like one. Sergio, I told you about these outbursts. it damages the team.” Luka caressed the Spaniard's face, trying to speak as softly and gently as his voice would allow him.
“I tried this time. ” Sergio huffed, he leaned into Luka's touch. no one could make him feel as at peace as Luka could.
“I know baby, and I appreciate that, it'll take a while before we can tackle this, okay? ”Luka waited for a response
Sergio looked into the little man's eyes. so warm and full of love. it made him feel like a teenager. luka had that stupid puppy look on his face, how could Sergio ever resist him?
“Okay.”
luka smiled, a smile that travelled to his eyes. he kissed Sergio, this tattooed Spaniard was a lot of work. but fortunately for him, Luka was a hard worker.

I NEED HELP REGARDING FANFICTION AND AO3 PLEASE!!!!!!!
Hey guys, does anyone know if Ao3 can let me make an account and stories that are viewable only to ME and nobody else, regardless if they are registered Ao3 users or not?
I've been wanting to make a seperate Ao3 account from my main account that's purely for the use of moving my favorite FF.Net fics from other authors there, especially since @inukag sounded the alert about FF.Net in this post yesterday. I had already been thinking about this before hand, but her post was a huge reminder to me.
It's just that I need a platform or site where I can archive these fics in a way where once I've posted them on there, than I can delete the original file that's in my phone, or computer or whatever device I'm using. A single fic file takes up storage space on said device, and a lot of it too if it's a long fic. But if I can upload a file into an archive like Ao3 or FF.Net (where once you've posted it on there, you can delete the original file from your device), than that'd solve the problem.
The thing is, if I were to do something like that on Ao3, I don't want to make the fics public in case the authors wouldn't want their stories posted for general audiences outside of FF.Net. I just want it to be for my own viewing pleasure and my viewing pleasure only. But I don't know if Ao3 will allow me to do that, which is why I'm hesitating. If I could, I'd ask all the authors directly if it's okay to do something like that, but most of these fics are OLD and their authors haven't even touched FF.Net in years and haven't provided any additional social media info within their bios, so chances are that when I try messaging them on FF.Net, a lot of them may not even respond at all.
If I wasn't worried about that, and could get the proper permission from the authors that simply, I wouldn't be so worried about posting them more publically, but because it's not always that simple (especially for the older fics), that's why I only want to archive these fics completely privately for only me. But I want to do it in a way where I can post it somewhere that doesn't take up storage space on my devices, and that's why I'm looking at Ao3 right now or anywhere similar.
Part of me just wants to throw caution to the wind and start posting my favorite fics to Ao3 regardless if they're public or not and just give the proper credit to the authors in question by clarifying who they are in the Ao3 Summary area, but would that still really be okay? Wouldn't it be just like reposting fanart without permission???
This is why I need your guys' help. I just want to know if there's a way I can post COMPLETELY PRIVATE, ONLY FOR ME fics onto Ao3 with a seperate account, OR if there's a similar website or platform I can do that on and have it be in a way where once it's on that site/platform, then I can delete the OG file from my device itself, but the fic would still be posted on the site I archived it on. The closest I've gotten to an alternative is Google Docs, but it doesn't do the proper spacing.
If anyone has suggestions or can help me out, that'd be awesome.

Does anyone have suggestions to replace Google Docs, free & no subscription?
I write a *lot* of poems and stories. I'm now at the point where, without a paid subscription, I don’t have enough storage in Google Suite for all of it. It just glitched because it thought my subscription ended (it didn't) and now I can't access any of my newer stories because it's stolen away my editing ability due to “not enough space”. I want my shit back.
I’ve mostly been using Google Docs because it was introduced to me in 2015 when I first began writing, as a place to do class assignments. Now I can’t use it because I write too much I guess. 😓
But every time I search for a new writing place I come up empty handed.
Most cost money, or seem free but everything requires in app purchases to function, or they don't have all the edit abilities I need, or it’s free but super glitchy and full of ads to the point of being unusable. I also get exhausted trying to find anything that meets all the criteria for what I need.
I want to get away from Google, especially after this fuckery. But ¿where can I go?
~~
Lists of what I need / am trying to find:
~~
Biggest problem I can’t find or replace:
- I need it to autosave (or be able to be saved) to the Interwebs so I can use my laptop *and* phone to edit the same story. Sometimes laptop works better for my brain, & sometimes phone does.
~~
Functions I use very frequently:
- bold & italic
- page colour (I need to be able to make it dark/black to read it, ADHD skips lines otherwise)
- text colour (again, need to change to see it, white & black are bad options; I usually use at least 3 colours in one doc)
- comment/suggest function
- share (suggest, edit, view separated) function
- “space after paragraph” (1.15 distance but I need that extra bump to distinguish paragraphs)
- alignment (right and center)
~~
Functions I use semi frequently / would be nice to have:
- checklist
- bulleted list
- ability to see definitions of words
~~
¿Can anyone help me out here? ¿Piracy Tumblr, writer Tumblr, anyone who knows how or where to find options?
I’m open to multiple suggestions, or a list. I just need somewhere to go/take all my stuff away from Google. 🥺
~(a very sad & frustrated) Nico

MuleSoft GCP
Tumblr media
Integrating MuleSoft with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) enables leveraging a wide range of cloud services provided by Google, such as computing, storage, databases, machine learning, and more, within Mule applications. This integration can enhance your MuleSoft applications with powerful cloud capabilities, scalability, and flexibility offered by GCP, supporting various use cases from data processing and analysis to leveraging AI and machine learning services.
Key Use Cases for MuleSoft and GCP Integration
Cloud Storage: Integrate with Google Cloud Storage for storing and retrieving any data at any time. This is useful for applications that manage large amounts of unstructured data like images, videos, or backups.
Pub/Sub for Event-Driven Architecture: Use Google Cloud Pub/Sub for messaging and event-driven services integration, enabling the decoupling of services for scalability and reliability.
BigQuery for Big Data: Leverage Google BigQuery for analytics and data warehousing capabilities, allowing Mule applications to perform interactive analysis of large datasets.
Cloud Functions and Cloud Run: Invoke Google Cloud Functions or Cloud Run services for serverless computing, allowing you to run containerized applications in a fully managed environment.
AI and Machine Learning: Integrate with Google Cloud AI and Machine Learning services to add intelligence to your applications, enabling features like image analysis, natural language processing, and predictive analytics.
Strategies for Integrating MuleSoft with GCP
GCP Connectors and Extensions:
Check Anypoint Exchange for any available connectors or extensions for GCP services. These connectors can simplify integration by providing pre-built operations and authentication mechanisms.
Custom Integration via APIs:
For GCP services without a dedicated MuleSoft connector, use the HTTP Connector in Anypoint Studio to call GCP’s RESTful APIs. This method requires handling authentication, usually via OAuth 2.0, and crafting API requests according to the GCP service’s API documentation.
Service Account Authentication:
Use GCP service accounts for authenticating from your Mule application to GCP services. Service accounts provide credentials for applications to authenticate against GCP APIs securely.
Store the service account key file securely and use it to generate access tokens for API calls.
Cloud Pub/Sub Integration:
To integrate with Cloud Pub/Sub, use the Pub/Sub API to publish and subscribe to messages. This can facilitate event-driven architecture patterns in your Mule applications.
Cloud Storage Integration:
Use the Google Cloud Storage JSON API to upload, download, and manage objects in buckets. Ensure your Mule application handles the authentication and authorization flow to interact with Cloud Storage.
Error Handling and Logging:
Implement robust error handling and logging mechanisms, especially for handling API rate limits, quotas, and retries for transient errors.
Best Practices
Securely Manage Credentials: Use MuleSoft’s secure configuration properties to store GCP credentials securely. Avoid hardcoding credentials in your application code.
Optimize API Usage: Be mindful of GCP’s API quotas and limits. Implement efficient API calls and caching where appropriate to reduce load and costs.
Monitor Integration Health: Utilize Anypoint Monitoring and Google Cloud’s monitoring tools to keep track of the health, performance, and usage metrics of your integrations.
Review GCP’s Best Practices: Familiarize yourself with best practices for security, architecture, and operations recommended by Google Cloud to ensure your integration is scalable, secure, and cost-effective.

After Smiley is defeated and the Sala-Sala Fruit acquired, is anyone in Team Prime interested in eating it? Or not really?
Oh Boy. This is gonna be a long one so buckle up.
No one even suspected the dark blue fruit showing up at all until Jack presented it to Corazón. And oh boy did everyone in the OPverse flipped out. Especially those who fought Smiley before. Katakuri had to pull his copy of the Devil Fruit Encyclopedia to confirm it.
Katakuri: Other than the slightly darker coloration, this is no doubt an exact replica of the Sala-Sala Fruit, Model: Axolotl.
Miko: Cool...
Now there had to be a google search on axolotls as Zoans do gain the powers based on the model. For axolotls, it's their insane regeneration since they can regrow not only lost limbs but also vital organs such as the brain or heart. A regeneration that will carry onto whoever eats the fruit no matter the species.
Such an ability would be a massive game changer if eaten by a Cybertronian as not only can they repair any injury but donate parts to their fellow bots. I also gonna add something else to the fruit's capabilities. Axolotls eat their food using a form of suction.
Now translate that into the good ol' Suck n Chuck strategy found in Kirby games. Taking in air, water or sand then spit it out like a bullet. Zoans tend to develop crazy abilities so this would be fitting.
Now I have three possible scenarios for the Devil Fruit.
Eaten by an object, Accidental Consumption, Stored Away only for Accidental Consumption in RiD15.
Considering objects can 'eat' Devil Fruits, a funny scenario in my head is that Sala-Sala Fruit gets stored wrong. The place being a large 20 ft storage Doc Greene made for Wheeljack to store various liquids from water, mercury, etc. Next day a quite large metallic axolotl that looks too much like Wheeljack's container waddles into the common area.
Miko squeals cause holy shit is the thing cute while everyone else is freaking out as this was a CHEMICAL STORAGE. (Thankfully the hazardous stuff can easily be removed and the creature didn't seem to care about getting rummaged.) Considering no one wanted to kill the poor thing to get the fruit, Wheelie, becomes part of Team Prime. Part time emotional support companion, part time storage. (Wheeljack would've named the critter Wheeljack Jr decide not to.)
The second and third scenarios revolve mostly around subspaces. For the third scenario, Bumblebee takes the fruit for protection reasons as it wouldn't be safe on Cybertron. Considering subspaces are part of the bots in general, transporting the fruit in bot mode runs a high accidental consumption risk. There are some warnings signs if this is about to occur.
Nasty taste in the mouth, lack of weight, and the fruit being completely unreachable. Any bot who eats a Devil Fruit will get a special coating applied to them if any mission revolves around deep water. This coating will keep water from touching their frame so they can operate without sinking like stones.
It's quite awkward for the Autobot in question to walk on all fours in animal form as no frame schematic comes with eating a Devil Fruit. Hybrid is easier to manage but having a tail will take some time to adjust. A lot of factors overall.

Here are some useful tips for using the Google Drive mobile app:
Enable Offline Access: To ensure uninterrupted productivity, enable offline access for specific files or folders. This allows you to view and edit files even when you're not connected to the internet. Any changes made offline will sync automatically when you regain internet connectivity.
Use the Scan Feature: Take advantage of the app's scanning feature to digitize physical documents using your device's camera. This eliminates the need for a separate scanning app and allows you to save scanned documents directly to your Google Drive.
Utilize File Organization: Keep your files organized by creating folders and subfolders within the Google Drive mobile app. This makes it easier to locate specific files and maintain a structured filing system, even when accessing files on the go.
Collaborate on the Move: Use the Google Drive mobile app to collaborate with others by sharing files and folders. You can grant specific permissions to control who can view, comment, or edit your documents, enabling seamless teamwork even when you're away from your computer.
Leverage Third-Party App Integrations: The Google Drive mobile app integrates with various third-party apps, expanding its functionality and allowing you to work with different file formats. Explore and connect compatible apps to enhance your productivity and streamline your workflow.
Set up Automatic Backups: Configure the Google Drive mobile app to automatically back up your device's photos, videos, and other selected files. This ensures that your important data is safely stored in the cloud and can be accessed from any device with the app installed.
Use Advanced Search Options: When searching for specific files within the app, utilize advanced search options such as file type, owner, or keywords. This saves time and helps you quickly find the files you need, especially when dealing with a large volume of documents.
Enable Notifications: Stay informed about changes and updates to your files by enabling notifications within the app. You can receive alerts when files are shared with you, comments are made, or when someone requests access to your files.
Enable Two-Step Verification: Protect your Google Drive files by enabling two-step verification for your Google account. This adds an extra layer of security and ensures that only authorized individuals can access your files, even if your device is lost or stolen.
Explore Offline Editing Options: If you know you'll be without an internet connection for an extended period, consider using Google's offline editing apps, such as Google Docs Offline or Google Sheets Offline. These apps allow you to edit your files offline and sync the changes when you reconnect to the internet.
Utilize Quick Access: The Google Drive mobile app offers a "Quick Access" section that predicts the files you're most likely to need based on your usage patterns. Take advantage of this feature to quickly access frequently used files without having to search for them manually.
Manage Storage Space: Keep an eye on your storage space within the Google Drive mobile app. If you're running low on space, consider deleting unnecessary files or upgrading to a higher storage plan to accommodate your needs.
By implementing these tips, you can maximize your productivity and make the most out of the Google Drive mobile app, ensuring seamless file management and access on the go.

G Suite is now Google Workspace merges Gmail, Chat, Docs
Google is going to make a major name change to its professional office suite. It goes from being called G Suite to Google Workspace, which unites Gmail, Chat, and Docs.
Google hasn't had a good track record with their apps and their names. Services that are very similar to each other (Allo and Hangouts, Keep and Task, etc.) or services that end up dying shortly after birth are some of the stains on Google's file. Now they will put a little order with Google Workspace.
This is a new collaboration platform designed for companies that will not only unify services like Google Gmail, Chat and Docs on a professional level, but will also unify and replace G Suite, Google's professional office environment. Google Workspace will integrate Calendar, Drive, Docs, Gmail, and Meet.
The rebranding has been total, with the presentation of a new company brand and with the idea of centralizing all Google tools in a single platform, making productivity much more accessible and organized than on previous occasions.
Google Workspace now unifies all the professional tools that we already saw in G Suite. Especially those of "communication and collaboration, such as chat, email, voice, video call, and content management", as explained by the company itself. As expected, these apps receive their own exclusive enhancements designed for business environments.
https://youtu.be/bE31y5HbukA
Google Workspace
In Google Docs, the preview of links is released, that is, the ability of the user to see the content linked previously without having to leave the document already created. Linked content can be a Slides presentation or a link to a Gmail email.
Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides receive the acclaimed PiP or Picture in Picture mode that allows you to minimize video calls and multimedia content in one window so you can continue to carry out tasks while watching video conferences or presentations. The ability to create documents in these tools across rooms is also added.
Tumblr media
On the other hand, we have smart chips. If we are within a document created in Docs and we mention a person, Docs will display a menu in which we will see all the information of that contact, including their position in the company and even the address of their office, even if they do not belong to our organization. From there we can access more information or even access suggested actions.
On the other hand, Google has also done its homework when it comes to security. The data protection reports will be released next week, which will allow creating reports so that the administrators of the work environments can understand the information that Workspace stores about the company.
New prices
Tumblr media
Google Workspace will be available today, with new pricing rates added for small and large businesses. These are the prices for companies with less than 300 employees
Business Starter: ₹125 or $1.71 per user, with a personalized email.
Business Standard: ₹672 or $9.14 per user. More storage (2 TB) and more capacity for video calls.
Business Plus: ₹1,260 or $17.15 per user, with tools such as Vault or MDM.
Companies with more than 300 employees will be able to access Enterprise, a special rate. To access this, the company will have to contact Google's sales department to check prices.
In the event that teams want to use Workspace, a plan of $8 per user is established with specific tools for video calls.
Users and companies that already have G Suite will not suffer any changes. G Suite licenses will remain until a full transition is made, and those that are not ready to adapt to the Workspace will receive information in the coming months. You can contact us to let us know if we are missing something on our page. I hope you like it and thank you for your visit.

OSB Studio is, however, the perfect streaming solution for power users and/or professional gamers looking to create a thrilling experience for their audience. Case in point, mixing sources takes some time to understand and get used to. Its various qualities make the software a bit of an overkill for many streamers, especially novice streamers. It features advanced capabilities and ample customization possibilities. Popular with professional and experienced gamers, Open Broadcast Studios is an open-source streaming software available on Windows, macOS, and Linux. For some streamers, Twitch Studio does not offer ample customization on the setup front like some third-party software. However, just like other Twitch streaming software, it does have some cons. The software’s guided stream setup will automatically detect the hardware (microphone, camera, monitor resolution, and streaming bitrate), and by using one of the customizable templates, you can get started with your stream quickly and with little hassle. You need not fret over the video and audio mixing, configuring the hardware and making sure the software detects your hardware and all other annoying preparation tasks you get accustomed to with the other streaming software. Since the software is linked with Twitch, it a tad easier to set up and use. It is the to-go-to software form many novice Twitch streamers and many experienced streamers. In the streaming industry, Twitch Studio is probably the most popular streaming software available owing to the popularity of Twitch as a streaming platform.

Big questions here. You don't have to answer them but if you do thanks I'm just curious as a writer myself. Do you edit the grammar and spelling of your writings during the writing process or afterwards? And do you use a specific website e.g. Grammarly to help with any corrections you've missed? Do you write up your writings in tumblr drafts, word, or something like that? And when you have new ideas for writings do you note them down, start up a quick draft or how do you remember new ideas?
omg no you’re totally fine i actually. really genuinely love being asked about my writing process and habits it’s so fun to me !!!! okay i feel chatty so this got rly long apologies 😭😭😭 i tried to bold keywords from your questions so you could pick out my answers more easily :D
ngl my grammar and spelling is like. pretty damn good like any mistakes i ever catch in my stories are never genuine spelling errors theyre literally just typos 😭 and as for grammar, the grammar issues i ever ever find are birthed from like. inconsistency w the preexisting sentence structure djfjsjfj bc i always always always reread and edit while i’m writing especially when i’m starting out w the fic, but the longer it gets, the more exhausting it becomes to reread the whole thing sjfkdkdkd
also sometimes i’ll stop writing a fic mid sentence that’s semi-long and when i come back, i just pick up from where i left off without. rereading the sentence 😖😖😖 whenever i reread my like published works and catch mistakes just know i thought about putting my head directly through a wall 😭😭😭
so!! i do edit it obsessively during, i proofread it after i’m done (even though i’m usually exhausted and honestly sick of the story at that point) and then i send it to a friend or multiple friends so they can beta it for me, then i make any changes as i see fit, proofread it on my own AGAIN usually very lazily, then i’m like “i cant bear to look at you anymore” and i just post it sjjjdkddj
i don’t use any sort of online tools to “help” me write apart from google docs and the built in suggestion feature they have! i hate grammarly, actually skfjskdkd it doesn’t know half as much as it thinks it does and its software fucked up so often when i used it that i was just like. “what the fuck are you talking about.” also, i think that in very specific occasions, general sentence rules can be slightly subverted in order to achieve some sort of goal, and i enjoy doing that from time to time, so it got annoying when grammarly was like being dumb or that hemingway website said shit like “this sentence is rly long and complex” like….yeah. i know. i did that on purpose.
i will never in my life trust tumblr to host any drafts of my work. never. ever. ….ever. i either make a google docs draft or a notes draft for like. actual longer ideas like scenes and more plotting and stuff!! if it’s a small little idea and i have a bunch for some reason, occasionally i’ll write the ideas down physically either onto paper or w my apple pencil onto my note taking app on my ipad sjfjskkd !!
but yeah tbh i was just talking to nova abt this the other day bc we were talking abt wips and our storage of them and. when i was trying to count how many wips i even have, i had to search in like. 3 different apps (technically 4 but that’s bc i already have lists on here in my drafts that i have elsewhere but it’s easier to find them here shfjsj) in different documents until i rounded up all the lil ideas like stray sheep 😭😭😭 so hopefully soon i can set aside time to sit down and compile every single wip, at least the idea and where i have more info stored, into one single google doc for my convenience !!!!
BUT YEAH THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ASKING OMG I LOVE LOVE LOVE QUESTIONS LIKE THESE 🥺🥺🥺 if you or anyone else has any more writing process questions, totally feel free to ask!!!!

How do I keep my worldbuilding consistent when I have multiple timelines and alternate universes? Especially when memories can bleed over too.
Constablewrites: Really, really good notes. You’re gonna need something that allows for a high level of organization and categorization. That might be a tool like Scrivener or Evernote that lets you create folders and tags, or if you prefer physical notes you can use different colored pens, sticky notes, or even multiple notebooks. (There are probably tools out there specifically designed for such a purpose, but I’m not personally familiar with any.)
However you keep your lists, you’ll want to have one set of notes for each timeline and universe that impacts the story. If you have characters hopping around, you’ll also want to have notes for each character’s personal timeline (so the order in which they experience events, which timelines/universes they travel between, what they remember when, etc.). These lists don’t have to be super long or involved--just a brief phrase describing the scene or event can be enough to keep it straight.
Even for writers only working with a single timeline, it can be useful to have a calendar of events. You can call your start point Day 1 and go from there, assign events to arbitrary dates on our calendar, or go into detail with your own system, whatever works for you. The key is just to have a way to be sure of how much time has passed, so you don’t have something like characters saying they’ve only known each other a couple of days when it’s established elsewhere that it’s been a month.
Also, this doesn’t have to be done in advance. Doing it as you go is fine, and so is assembling the lists as you’re preparing to edit and untangle everything. You might save yourself some effort down the line if you sort that stuff out before writing, but not everyone’s brain works like that and that’s okay.
Tex: It’s difficult to make lists and notes if you don’t know what information to put in them. This is a fairly common issue, since the plethora of information available to particularly worldbuilders can easily become a sensory overload.
A calendar of events is an excellent idea, if you’ve got events to catalogue (and dates to go along with them!). Unfortunately that won’t cover the rest of a world, so you’ll need to be careful in how your organize your notes. Please note that both of our suggestions are but one of many methods to arranging worldbuilding notes, especially when it comes to multiple timelines.
Scrivener, Evernote, OneNote, or even a set of notebooks or word documents can be very versatile depending on your style of note-taking. I deeply prefer an iterative process to worldbuilding, wherein I slowly collate and organize scraps of notes into a polished whole that functions as an archive. Usually I keep multiple versions, in case I need to roll back to certain timelines of development and branch off in a different direction, and keep the discarded versions in case there’s a new way to incorporate the research and ideas.
There’s a lot of debate about digital vs physical copies. For digital, the pros are that you can easily edit and transmit files to a high volume capacity, as well as store them in a comparatively small container or even purely online. Its cons, however, are that they’re easily lost, corrupted, or stolen.
For physical, the pros are that the copies are tangible, easy to visually reference in large volumes, and can usually withstand long-term storage without corruption issues. Its cons, however, are that they have a physical weight, can be cumbersome to carry around, and are difficult to edit while retaining coherency.
One of the most successful note-taking styles I’ve seen is a blend of digital and physical. When you’re still developing an idea, a digital format is very useful until you’ve gotten some concrete decisions down. You can do this with some throwaway notebooks or loose paper, too! Just make sure it’s collected in the same place, or at least is annotated in a way that’s easy to identify (e.g. headers of the same colour, washi tape, dedicated ink colours, dedicated folders, etc).
The intermediary point is usually the difficult part, because transitioning into firm decisions about your worldbuilding is where packrat tendencies kick in. “But what if I need this?” is a very common refrain. However, if you’ve isolated your first step, you’ll still have all of your sketches and ideas and notes!
A basic sorting process of “I’ll keep working on this” versus “I’ll set this aside in case I still need this” will tamp down on a lot of that inevitable anxiety. This will give you control over the flow of development, and you’ll always be able to incorporate things from that second pile if necessary.
The main characteristic of the intermediary point is the filing system, and is incredibly useful even when dividing a world into multiple timelines.
The best method that I’ve found for working on multiple timelines is to start from the most common details. Since these notes are likely to be stored with other stories, the first order is fandom vs original work. If you only write original work, it may be helpful to arrange things by title and/or genre.
I’ve made a sample worldbuilding folder on Google Drive (available here) that can be downloaded locally or into your own Drive, and am narrating the main path way; any additional folders you see will largely be blank in order to allow others to learn the overall structure. You can always copy the folders and files I mention into the additional folders, and rearrange as best suits you!
Since I made this for primarily fandom (re-title as necessary for original work), this means choosing Fandom 1 and then World Name 1. Traditionally the first world is the “canon” world, or the original seed, so it gets first pick.
I have in World Name 1 some things pre-seeded:
Timeline 1
Timeline 2
Unsorted
World Name 1 - Meta Info.txt
All of the individual files in there - usually .txt or .docx - have information on them regarding suggestions how to use them. If you already have a method, then disregard and populate as you prefer.
The Unsorted folder acts as a catch-all, and there’s going to be one of these at roughly each level. For the Timeline level, this means working in conjunction with the Meta Info text file - usually discarded snippets and/or research. While you can definitely create subfolders in this one, I would recommend keeping it loose so you don’t create a stressful, nitpicking situation that loses focus on your main goals.
If you have a main timeline, then that’s going to be Timeline 1. However you choose to prioritize the other ones, just make sure you’re consistent with it, and clearly label everything.
Within Timeline 1, you’re going to have the following items:
Story folder
Plot folder
Unsorted folder
Culture folder
World Name 1 - Timeline 1 - To Do List.txt
You already know how the Unsorted folder functions, so pass that one by. I’ll cover the file before delving into the folders. It’s a text file (that’s a bit oddly sized, apologies for that - it can be resized upon opening with Notepad or a similar program), and left without any instructions or suggestions. World Name 1 - Timeline 1 - To Do List is, as it says on the tin, meant to keep track of things that need doing for this timeline. Be it items that need updating, necessary tweaks, reminders for other things, it’s a relatively isolated way to keep track of this timeline on a meta scale.
Moving on to the rest, the Story folder contains two of its own - Chapters and Master Story. I’ve found this method useful, since it’s dumping drafts into a virtual outbox on an as-completed basis. Master Story has a preseeded doc, while Chapters is meant to contain each chapter unto its own folder (Chapter 1 has its own preseeded doc, as well). The guide docs are colour-coded and contain notes for both fanfiction and original work.
The next folder in Timeline 1, Plot, comes with three pre-seeded guide docs of its own:
World Name 1 - Timeline 1 - Characters.docx
World Name 1 - Timeline 1 - Plot Unsorted.docx
World Name 1 - Timeline 1 - Plot.docx
You see how there’s still an Unsorted folder, albeit in file form? That’s for information that can’t be put into Characters.docx or Plot.docx. All three have notes and some sort of sorting and colour-coding applied to them, with some modularity for copying and pasting. Plot.docx functions a lot like programs like OneNote and Scrivener, so the formatting can be ported over if you prefer a more literal digital notebook style.
The last folder in Timeline 1 is Culture. I’ve divided this into Non-Physical and Physical. There’s a readme text file in both detailing the types of things would go into each folder, though otherwise both left blank so you can dive right into creating sub-folder systems of your own. As with the higher-level folders, you can always duplicate the methods of unsorted folders and meta docs!

what's webhard?
Webhard Compared to the following clouds, media playback in mobile environments is advantageous. Especially regarding videos, the next cloud must be downloaded as a whole, while streaming. Just to stream! I have to install another app again. Cloud alone isn't enough to stream. Faster than the next cloud. About 20%. Once you open a document with a cloud viewer, it breaks significantly less than another cloud (but breaking itself is already a problem). Web app is supported. It's rudimentary, but it is possible to write. However, the thing is that the document format is a bizarre format, such as for example .ndoc, that makes it extremely incompatible. File sharing through the URL (but this is as far as the next cloud is concerned). Webhard It includes a smaller capacity compared to the next cloud. In comparison to foreign cloud services, it boasts poor service quality. When compared to next cloud, it is extremely disadvantageous for music playback. Continuous streaming can be done only for several selected sound sources. Another cloud only should be in a folder. You should share a URL and that means you can't share music files or videos. According to the report, there is a saying that N drive looks like a local drive when installed, but only it comes out like a local drive, which is no different from the folder synchronization setting. It's a whole lot worse for computers in the first place when external programs play tricks in it. It's far better to just tidy up the synchronization folder.*** It is very specialized in playing music. In particular, it is the only cloud that can play sound sources in an environment similar to MP3 players we are acquainted with. Although each song has some buffering, it seems to play around 192kpbs continuously, assuming that communication is in good shape in a 3G environment. Of course, in reality, it's often take off at that point) It has a large capacity. This can be a significant advantage when contemplating domestic cloud services all together, which have poor quality of media access in cloud services. You can substitute the finish drive above. In particular, in case a picture is within a document, it really is rarely opened properly. Streaming songs often cuts off (however, not often) due to communication problems with the cloud, not Internet speed problems. Personally i think like it's about once every two hours. And if you listen to high-quality sound sources, it gets buffered often, or if you are in a place where in fact the 3G environment isn't smooth, it gets cut off more often. And when it's in that state, you have to discover the path of the folder where in fact the song was playing and play it again. The only way to share is folder sharing. Only some documents or presentation files are available for file viewing. Except for those points, there is nothing to say even if it is almost a webhard level. Foreign Cloud Comparison (Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, Skydrive) Google Drive It exerts tremendous power in writing documents. In particular, even without an office program, Google Drive can cover it to some extent. Not fancy ppts or fancy excels, almost any simple document is OK. It is beneficial to reflect the progress of work in the mobile environment. By establishing only offline views, the files you work on can continue being reflected in the cloud instantly. It is a very convenient feature for sharing files with other users. It is easy to connect to other Google services such as Gmail. If you don't upload documents right to the Google drive but write them on the Google drive web app, the capability of the file will not take into account cloud storage (what can you mean, if you just utilize the web app, the capacity of the Google drive is infinite). Now, photo media access is strong at the dropbox level. It is possible to flip through photos and videos could be played immediately. However, the loading time appears to take a little longer than the dropbox. I feel it), nonetheless it doesn't bother me. There are the most apps which might be connected. In a desktop environment. Various connection apps allow various operations in the net environment without installing programs using the pc. It's a bit of a problem that the app doesn't connect at all on mobile, but it is the best in the desktop environment. Upload a little pdf file and change it to Google Docs format. It could then be stored again in MS Word format or something. However, it is only possible with pdf files of 2MB or less. There is no bandwidth restriction in name. There's a testimony that it is a block after a large amount of writing, but it's not stipulated by company policy. If you use Google Docs web app, it is possible to save documents indefinitely, but in the event that you save them indefinitely, it's the same as once you lose your Internet connection, you're going to sink and work with MS word, right?) Google Docs web app, cloud-connected web app, support for editing files utilizing a variety of programs, nonetheless it is still crude compared to office programs applied to computers. Is it obvious?) Dropbox It exerts its strongest power in media viewing. Photo folders? Can be flipped smoothly (Domestic cloud services need a specific amount of buffering time for every photo). However, if you wait a bit for the dropbox, the photos in one folder are loaded entirely. While considering Photo A, Photo B is loaded and scrolling can be done without any blockage. Video? Beyond streaming, you can freely specify before start of playback. It is the best in the world when it comes to media reading. There are various means of increasing capacity. Camera upload settings, invitation of friends, events at the company level, etc. The speed is relatively good. 웹하드순위 It is a lot faster compared to the Box and doesn't work with Google Drive. The file capacity limit that may be uploaded from the free account is the largest. 300MB. The bandwidth of the free account is bigger than that of the Box. It really is updated by 20GB each day. It's practically infinite unless you're going to share large files. The starting capacity is the smallest. Two gigabytes of dirt. Price compared to capacity is the priciest cloud service. Dirty bastards... There exists a saying that changes in documents can't be reflected instantly when working on documents. Word documents shouldn't flip different files like picture documents. The dropbox itself cannot be documented. There are the most compatible apps in the mobile environment. In order to work on a document, it is possible to choose the interface you want through the app drive and focus on it leisurely. In the case of document files, simple document inquiry is really a convenient axis because previews are provided. Unlike additional.dropboxes, if you can find multiple Word documents in a folder, Word documents can be flipped on the file or file, as can be seen in the photo file. File sharing support is quite good. This box allows anyone who manages or creates a website to talk about data conveniently with little usage of the web page's resources. However, the bandwidth of the free account is 10GB per month, which is quite small. Slow. Not paid people. Media access is quite disadvantageous. It's a whole lot worse than Google Drive, which says it's disadvantageous above. It's better to just do it on some type of computer than listen to it for a test. The uploadable file capacity limit may be the smallest. 100MB. Free account only. In a mobile environment, real-time documentation is rarely supported. Unless you install Boxeditor, the documentation will be written with an extension that can only be written on Box (it works, so it's better than Dropbox, but it's less than Google Drive). It had been recently updated (on 22 February?). Media access is now quite convenient. Especially photo files. However the pace is still a little slow.*** Skydrive The writing function is very powerful. Many cloud services offer Web apps. But Skydrive's may be the most like the MS office documenting environment we've often used. And there's also the most supported handwriting, even though it is four-legged.
