At the end of spring
A candied heart tickles my tongue,
like a ray of sunshine popping from behind a cloud.
As a Barbie doll with a pretty pink dress,
so I stand by a willow, swaying with the breeze,
winking at the sky with sparkling eyes.
A piece of silk comforts me with its gentle throes--
truthfully,
a piece of cotton would've sufficed all the same.
The sun retreats back through the mesh clouds as lightning cracks
and the wind mocks my naïve desire--a wish to
receive a box of candied hearts, if only to remember your joy.

abandoned factory that's been turned into an apartment building
I can't describe how much I love abandoned buildings and I wanted this one to be very ghostly looking, but in the end I couldn't resist stylizing it a bit more 🏭
