He's kind of shy, reserved but with big determination. Has an big interest on crystals and likes rain. Slim, with big ears, long legs, very flexible, fast and a good climber. Some odd aura comes from him.

OOOOH again spoilers

shes sooo special to me. she has this like, rivalry with ebonypaw growing up and they have big crushes about it and its very cute. shes popular and has a good mom and a not so great parent and as soon as they become warriors she and ebonysky become mates. but ebonysky is kind of overprotective and controlling and kind of just miserable to be around so they break up. in the meantime asphodelsong becomes closer with her childhood friend blazingheart (who theyre like, a little traumabonded with because they both saw his dad die) and she develops a crush on him that hes painfully oblivious to.

so she just lingers in the background pining and trying to ignore the way ebonystar Clearly wants her back. and shes nice to hollowlight but kinda sad that blazingheart likes them instead. shes not bitter about it because she always knew he didnt return her feelings but it sucked a lot.

her mom dies right after hollowlight does and it puts her down really badly, and she and blazingheart confide in each other with their grief and then one thing leads to another...... they choose to try and forget it but whoops! and its not too bad because asphodelsong has always wanted kids but shes facing the social repercussion and her brother wont talk to her and the kits are born too early and every one except duskkit passes away a few weeks after being born. and this crushes her and shes trying to be a good mother to duskkit but also spiralling so when she publicly confronts ebonystar its because she feels like she doesnt have much to lose. she has no friends besides blazingheart whos busy with an apprentice now. if she gets exiled she can take duskkit with her. or so she thinks.

she luckily isnt in the area that the fire hits but is instead just on the outskirts when she meets moonkit. and moonkit is staunchly saying she doesnt need a mom because shes going to find her dad and she can take care of herself and asphodelsong is like well why dont i help you find your dad, huh? and projects her missing her kids onto her. and when they meet scorch whos looking for his brother shes dealing with how shes adopting these kids who she knows is gonna leave her at the end of the day but she just tries not to think about it. she has a family like shes always wanted and thats what matters

Oblivion Ch37 Preview - Sango’s POV

I’m working through some shit rn (story-related, not IRL) so here’s a small teaser of the upcoming chapter to keep me accountable to all you sweetie pies and thank you for all your patience and kindness the past several months!

Sango was still several feet back, still rooted to the spot where she’d been flung backward in a display of demonic strength, and even from there she could see those eyes, those arrestingly green eyes that seemed to glow with their own inner light, those eyes that defied the darkness and kept the eyes of the cave’s human occupants shrouded in shadow. 

The green eyes swept downward, rolled upwards, snapped back to the dirt floor and then in the next beat of Sango’s heart they were locked with her own, held there as if attached with those pink vines of restraint. Sango felt a jolt of alarm and wanted to look away but something was wrong with her because she couldn’t. It wasn’t until Midoriko spoke again that those harrowing eyes showed mercy and released Sango from their attention. 

“We have been sitting vigil over you for quite a while,” Midoriko went on. “You faced a brutal attacker, and when it would have been easier to surrender, you fought to the bitter end. You have an admirable heart, young one.”

The green eyes blinked once in momentary confusion, then widened. The dark pupils, a strange elongated shape even when dilated, absorbed more of the limited cave lighting and constricted into slits. 

The eyes of an animal at night. Mountain cat, deer, monkey, tanuki, wolf. 

Wolf. 

Wolf.

Sango’s fascination - or perhaps it was what Miroku might have termed academic curiosity - was at war with her instincts - instincts of fear, of hatred and revulsion and Father Father they killed you and you killed them and we killed each other and somehow some way they deserved it didn’t they because you wouldn’t have NEVER would have done anything to instigate or provoke you were honorable and you just wanted to keep us safe and they were a threat weren’t they Father they were the threat to us first - 

The youkai girl there on the floor, the girl constrained by terror of the unknown and held prisoner by her own atrophied limbs, seemed to take in the full meaning of Midoriko’s words; her already-pale face drained of its remaining color, and her lips whitened and puckered into a silent grimace. 

“He killed us,” she whispered, and for some strange reason she again chose Sango to trap with that glowing gaze, Sango over anyone else in that dark cave room. Sango again wanted to look away, to hide, to refuse this burden that those green eyes were entreating her to shoulder. No, she-wolf, I will not - cannot - I refuse to bear witness to your pain, look to someone else for solidarity for reassurance because lost or not, alone or not, I am still a woman of Taijiya and you are a monster a monster - 

“I was dead.” The girl’s whisper was paper-thin. The eyes didn’t blink, the furrowed eyebrows didn’t twitch. She’s not telling, she’s asking. Asking me.

You died yes you were dead when I walked in this room there was no doubt in my mind - 

“No,” Sango said, “You’re alive.”

HERE IT IS!!!! after three whole years of work THE COMIC IS FINALLY LAUNCHING!

fading starlight takes place in a warriors au where the clans decided not to leave the forest during the new prophecy. years later, shadowclan and riverclan are the only clans remaining, and they are now forced to navigate a world with less resources and no guidance from starclan.

the grieving warrior ebonysky becomes leader of shadowclan and has to decide if revenge for her mothers death is worth endangering the clan, while juniperstem struggles to find his place in riverclan as his clanmates starve and yet his father pushes for war. in the midst of it all, an injured rogue named six joins shadowclan, and medic blazingheart must find out if they may be the change the forest has needed, or the catalyst for the end of the clans.

fading starlight is aimed at readers 16 and up

She has joined our one other starclan cat, which we have because they give you a starclan cat start with when you make your clan
