MOON 16 OF FLEETCLAN
BABIES <3
they mean the world to me
extra:
Dappledshadow, feeling much better from her heat exhaustion, talks with Fadedfern. Though he seems to be behaving strangely, she's still impressed by his knowledge. Later she learns he was acting off due to trying to figure out how to get some more time to spend with her.
Ebonystar isn't fond of how Dappledshadow overwhelms the entire camp with her presence.
While on patrol, Fadedfern gets scared by a wolf and makes a run for it; Daypaw nervously follows, not wanting to lose track and be left alone.

ebonystar is dead. they had all nine lives left, they just fell over dead!
this isn't much of a shock, though. they were NOT coping with the stress of leadership well by the time they died.
not a single one of ebonystar's kits managed to outlive them.
ebonystar's first deputy, hopsting, was also their mate, who died in labor.
after hopsting's passing, whimsymouse had served as the deputy of sproutclan... until eight moons ago, when they died of greencough.
after this, ebonystar appointed pochito as deputy... until two moons ago, when he was taken by twolegs.
so, essentially, we've got a very young, ENTIRELY inexperienced cat as leader. good luck birchstar!!!!!!!!!!!!! you'll need it girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
on top of that, our new deputy is an ex-kittypet who joined about six months ago. absolutely nothing could go wrong with this setup, no sir! :)

heya! i have a few fanclans (my apoc clans, as i call them) that i've been working on!
Well you have definitely waited a long time! But I will take a look at them for ya!
StoneClan
A clan that lives in a tunnel system underground, the cats here often have long, spikey pelts that show in monochrome color tones and carry fur that's often seen with tabby markings.
Apprentices are often surprised by how bright the sun is when they first leave the tunnels.
StoneClan cats are mostly nocturnal, and don’t often leave their camp during the day. They refer to the other Clans, who are more active in the day, as “Sunbathers”. It’s considered bad luck to go hunting in the daylight, and StoneClan patrols will wait until the sun is no longer visible.
StoneClan cats take blood purity far more seriously than any other Clan. Just about every kind of relationship outside their own clan is strictly forbidden. There are exceptions, of course- cats are occasionally sent out to find a sire or dam, and will take all kits born back to StoneClan. It is expected that there will be no feelings in these kinds of relationships; the cat they are having kits with is simply a tool to keep StoneClan’s genepool from becoming too small. So long as there is no real relationship, any kit born from a non-StoneClan cat is considered to be fully StoneClan.
Leader: Jaystar
Deputy: Snowslip
Healers: Skysplash, Cavepelt, and Quietpaw.
I love the term Sunbathers! Very fitting with their culture. Also glad that even though they are more isolationist they do make plans to ensure they dont get too inbred.
FrostClanThey’re trusting of one another, but are cold and wary towards outsiders. They live on a dry, barren mountain with lots of tunnels and shaded areas. Their camp is located towards the highest point of the territory, and a massive tree, with a rabbit warren abandoned underneath, are where a few dens reside- the rest are located within the tree; some hollow dug-outs and ledges leading up to more hollows- most of the branches are thick enough to make a home.
The cats here often have thick pelts and pale colouring.
When an apprentice reaches their warrior/healer ceremony, they’re given a feather alongside their full name. Each feather means something different, and a cat can be given anywhere from one to three feathers, although they’re usually gifted two. Most cats weave the feathers into their chest or tail fur, but some decide to weave them into their nests instead.
Leader: Ebonystar
Deputy: Blizzardswipe
Healers: Dawnsong, Pondleaf, and Silverfrost
Tree camps are always fun! Im curious about a bit more of their culture. Who gathers the feathers for new warriors? Are birds the clan's primary type of prey?
CloverClan
The cats here often have sleek pelts that are predominantly golden and brown.
CloverClan puts a lot of emphasis on cooperation and community, so skill assessments are usually based on teamwork. Because of this, no apprentice has one single mentor. Instead, the deputy puts together a teaching patrol and sends some warriors and apprentices off together to learn things. Apprentices typically learn how to hunt and track on hunting patrols, how to properly set borders on border patrols, and learn fighting moves and the warrior code on teaching patrols.
A group found only in CloverClan, the Council is made up of the deputy, healers, matron, and three to five senior warriors (or Councilors). This group offers advice to the Clan leader, and holds the right to reject any decision the leader makes so long as the majority of them agree.
Leader: Brightstar
Deputy: Pineflake
Councilors: Mistyshine, Turtle, Laurelwind, and Cicadachirp
Healers: Hemlockstare and Spottedstem
I've always appreciated clans that have a council to help assist the leader, gives me very arc 1 vibes. I also love how communal Cloverclan is!
MarshClan
They live in a swampy, musky area with a ground covered in thick mud, and multiple streams running throughout the territory to reach a reed-filled pond.
MarshClan cats are predominantly black and brown, and most have yellow eyes.
MarshClan cats are taught to value honesty from a very young age. It’s so ingrained in their culture that, oftentimes, they may not even consider the fact that someone may be lying to them. While this makes them fairly gullible at times, the punishments for when a lie is discovered can be quite harsh, and usually dissuade any future lies. In some cases, a lie is considered worse than the action that was lied about, although there are obviously exceptions to this.
MarshClan enjoys brawling! It’s very common for small disputes to be settled with a wrestling match, and larger arguments have specific rules already agreed upon before fighting. Larger ones are typically overseen by the healer, deputy, and/or leader to make sure all rules are followed and no one goes too far.
Leader: Yewstar
Deputy: Cricketflower
Healers: Pondpetal, Waspdawn, and Frog.
Ooo lots about the clan's culture here. Very rich and interesting. With how murky and wet their territory is, Im curious where the clan bed down, where their camp is!
Last, but not least,
SeaClan
In SeaClan, a kit born during a storm is seen as a very good omen, and is usually named after the storm in some way.
Meals are considered to be very important in SeaClan- it’s time to spend with friends and family.
All kits are taught to swim as young as possible, because SeaClan is surrounded by water. It’s necessary to know how to swim in case of evacuation.
SeaClan cats are collectors. They like to decorate their nests and dens with pearls, shells, starfish, pebbles, and driftwood.
Leader: Silentstar
Deputy: Rabbitshade
Healers: Frogsong, Oceanflower, and Mousenose
From context Im assuming Seaclan lives on an island, or at least a peninsula since they are surrounded by water. How does that affect heir relations with other clans? Are they more territorial?
Thank you for sending this in and again sorry about the wait! Hope some of these questions are useful to development!

does crane feel any actual maternal feelings towards condor and warbler? whats her deal in general? also i think she and ebonystar should be evil moms together with their baby girls hanging out
Towards Condor: no, towards Warbler: maybe some!
Crane and Condor's relationship is like, I keep saying it's weird but it's like two people who are just roleplaying a super doting/weirdly obsessive mother/son relationship despite being about the same age and making everyone else uncomfortable. I do not think they actually see each other in this way at all, but Crane likes the power that being called "mom" gives her over Condor so she enjoys it. Also she for sure gets a kick out of making other people uncomfortable outside of the Flock.
Crane and Warbler's relationship is a little bit more traditional adoptive mom/daughter kind of thing because warbler is a good bit younger than Crane. Everyone else is about "adult" age for cats while Warbler I believe to be like. a teen. about 14/15 if translated into human age. Crane is protective of her and does care for her, but that doesn't mean it's not rife with abuse. Warbler wasn't a child/kitten when adopted, and was essentially placed into this role of being Crane's daughter/Condor's little sister without basically any consent from Warbler. She goes along with it because she feels owned to Crane taking her in after the death of her parents during the war. Like, Warbler didn't get to decide that Crane was now her mom, Crane decided that for her. And I think that Crane does plan to use the power over being called "mom" to make Warbler do anything she wants, kinda like how she does with Condor.
SORRY I'M RAMBLING. Crane's whole deal in general is that she's the leader of a group of cats called The Flock. They all have bird names within and if you join you gotta change your name to a bird. The Flock was the main "other army" in a sense during the war with The King and grew SUPER LARGE during the war because The King kept conquering other groups. now that the war is over, Crane is now the leader of a crazy large group of cats, and that power and influence might be going to her head a bit lol. I think her thought pattern is like "Yeah the king failed and uniting all the groups but i'm a good person and can do it the right way."
ALSO THEY SHOULD, evil moms have to stick together in these trying times
