When I think of a pink pilates princess, I think of a girly person that romanticized their life in terms of wellness! a lot of people find the phrase annoying but i think it’s fun and cute! Here’s some things you can do to feel more like a pink pilates princess 💞

1. Doing pilates!

There’s mat pilates (only need a mat) and reformer pilates (using a reformer machine). Going to classes multiple times a week can be a tad expensive, so an alternative would be:
A) Signing up for paid subscriptions that have detailed classes for e.g; Alo moves, Pilates anytime, glo etc.
B) Following videos from youtubers that do mat pilates. My fave channels are; Move with Nicole, Sanne Vloet, Dansique fitness (she mostly does hitt pilates videos)
* Yoga is another amazing way to get movement in and feel connected to your body and spirit.
* Go on a hot girl walk! Going on mini walks around your neighborhood or even your house allows you to get some steps in daily.
2. Eating well!

This is different for everyone but here are some ideas that you can add to your diet;
- Drinking green juice
- Try out yogurt bowls! It's my favourite breakfast food because it's easy to make and can be very nutritious depending on what I put into it. I like to add greek yogurt, a nice granola, matcha powder, frozen and fresh berries, pomegranate, ground flax and almonds🫐🍓
- Increasing protein intake. A lot of people have tried to eat 1 g per each lb that they weigh daily and have felt really good. My fellow anemic girlies, please increase your protein intake if you can!
- Taking your vitamins/supplements! get a blood test done to see what you’re deficient in and research supplements that might be helpful for you personally.
3. Finding cute workout+lounge sets

Working out and going out in cute loungewear and workout sets can make you feel really nice and girly! I like to thrift nice quality brands like lululemon or even purchase specific pieces from depop and poshmark! Amazon is a good place to find sets as well but I would recommend buying high quality secondhand pieces💞 Some good brands to look out for are lululemon, alo yoga, halara and girlfriend collective.
4. Get cute exercise equipment

Get pink workout equipment if you’d like! Marshalls, dollarama, and amazon sell workout equipment that you can get for $5-$20! I got the pink fila mat in the pic above from marshalls for $19.99:) Here are some equipment ideas:
- yoga mat
- yoga strap
- wrist/ankle weights
- 5 lbs dumbbells
- gym bag
*these things aren’t needed btw! just ideas if you’d like to have more equipment.
5. Practice self care

You can do whatever self care that you'd like but here are some examples that you can incorporate into your life:
- Take a relaxing bath (the book "ritual baths" has amazing bath ideas
- Engage in your favourite hobbies (sports, reading, watching a tv show etc.)
- Spend time with your loved ones
- Take care of your skin and have a routine down. You do not need 15 products but even adding a serum or a spot treatment to your routine can improve your skin!

im so tired today i have 2 things due today and im in hell, but i should write something since i post every 2-3 days lmao
chase atlantic x xiao = happy sho,,, imagine just relaxing with xiao on a bed, scrolling through social media with chase atlantic playing in the background. with the sun slowly getting ready to set like yayayaydnjvhnjebekjvkjdfkjsadkjsvdkjsdkvjsdv
imagine this, rainy outside with very slight and quiet thunder booming and sitting with xiao drinking hot drinks while playing video games together. personally, i rlly like matcha when it's rainy i think that xiao might like cough syrup specifically orange flavour (i tried almond tofu and it tasted like medicine :((( ) but fr he might drink peppermint tea with a bit of honey
you two go to a park for a picnic or just a walk but xiao has allergies and hayfever (a friend gave me this imagine)
imagine you and xiao both do an extension class which unfortunately runs outside of school hours so he waits for you outside the school library for the class to start as you get out your school stuff. you told xiao to go in first because its so cold outside but he insists on staying outside to wait for you
xiao obv always acts like he doesnt care but its always the small things that clearly show that he does care afterall. the small litte smiles or shuffles he does when he sees you or the way his hand tighens around yours slightly,, after having a huge debate with yourself whether he even liked you at all, after confronting him, he had to repeat himself over and over that he loves you but finds it hard to show it
(a while ago i was going to write a xiao x reader thing but its twilight au and xiao is edward cullen but thats so 2010)
xiao getting a gift for you, he's not the type to buy flat out expensive gifts. he does enjoy making handmade things though, handmade cards, handmade gifts etc (im a fan of homemade things,, it just has so much thought put into them)
he probably did coaching/tutoring or whatever its called (asian kids will get it) maybe kumon? idk how kumon works i have to assume its like what i did as a kid.
gonna turn the one above into an actual imagine now lmao,,, so xiao would be the type to continue doing it into high school bc he's just incredibly smart,,,,,,, thats how he does like every single extension class and a ton of the harder classes.
imagine customer xiao (yes this again) who tried to give you his number but he failed so many times that he came in 3 times in the week just to try again in dropping the slip of paper into your pocket or tip jar or on the empty plate with the crumbs of the pastry he ordered.

Already That Girl: New Healthy Habits I've Adopted

I thought I’d share my latest habits so that it may hopefully inspire others as well.
Starting with the Scorpio Full Moon from 15/05/2022, I decided to challenge myself every day with new habits and routines that propell me in the direction of my goals, but also improve my wellbeing and mental health (we’re all about the holistic glow up here, ladies).
1. Matcha latte

I started drinking matcha daily, along with lemon water. I already drink black tea for the energy kick (or green if I don’t need extra energy) every morning instead of coffee, along with a glass of water. I tried matcha latte after being curiously spurred by all that girl reels on IG and honestly, I fell in love with it. I don’t resonate with running with the crowd for trends, but matcha is a good one. It has amazing benefits for your health, tastes great, and it’s also green.
2. Daily greens

Adding a big, nutritious salad to my lunch every day. Packed with goodies and topped with my favorite dressing: tahini + lemon. If you haven’t tried this combo, and want to incorporate more salads into your diet, you should definitely give it a taste.
3. Going to the gym with a trainer

Hiring a personal trainer and going to the gym 2-3 times a week has been a longtime aspiration of mine.
I have wanted to make going to the gym part of my lifestyle for a few years now, but after several failed attempts, I realized it had to be my way in order to be sustainable long term. I have high standards and expect quality for any service I go for, and as such have not been satisfied with the trainers I’ve worked with in the past (I can write a separate post on that if anyone is interested). Even so, I refused to give up!
I kept switching trainers until I finally found the perfect one for me, and I’m so happy I did. I know myself well enough that I do need a mentor to guide me. Worrying about researching posture, anatomy, movements, what to eat or how to formulate my workout plan, was not the way to go for me. I prefer an expert to do it for me, and all I have to do is show up and get the exercises done, so I can spend the rest of my time & energy on my other goals. Besides, having a mentor waiting for you at the gym, who motivates and uplifts you, makes a huge difference in creating consistency & good habits when you’re right at the beginning!
4. Jogging, long walks

Doing cardio (jogging, jump rope, long walks) at least once a week. I have found that cardio, particularly jogging, does wonders for my body and my mental health. It boosts mental clarity, alleviates anxiety, clears my head. That boost of endorphins is better than anything you can do in the four walls of the house, there’s only so much you can journal, blog or paint your way out of negative thought patterns.
I’m a nocturnal animal, so I knew that integrating jogging into my routine would not be sustainable long-term if I forced myself to do it in the morning. (Scheduling it for the evening when I don’t need to slather myself in SPF50 is also an appreciated perk.)
I’ve also been making it a focus to add yoga and stretching into my routine – daily if possible, but especially after strenuous workouts.
5. Leveling up my skincare

Using sunscreen, Vitamin C serum and retinol in my skincare regimen consistently. Vitamin C is a new one, but I’m enjoying La Roche Posay’s Vit C10 serum so far, after seeing it recommended by every dermatologist on Youtube.
6. More homemade food

Less takeout, more homemade food. Cooking is not a favorite pastime, but I love wholesome, home-cooked food made with love – it does have a different energy than when you just order in. I’ve been enjoying baking bread, looking up vegan recipes and just creating meals from scratch.
7. Rescheduling negative thoughts

Any negative thoughts after 9 PM are postponed until next day. No use stressing over things you can’t do anything about, and which may be caused simply by fatigue! All you need is some chamomille tea, a hot shower, and a good night sleep. Tackle tomorrow’s worries tomorrow.

'Matcha' is a commercial group that sells a particular type of 'healthy' drink and Armie had sponsored them at the beginning of their business, even taking pictures with them, pics that they posted on their IG account. Probably a friendship was born between Armie and them and he strongly believed in their business, that's only what I think of course.
I started following their page on IG, but when I saw that they hurried to delete all their photos published with Armie as soon as the shit hit him, I immediately stopped following them and I sincerely found this behavior shameful and really ungrateful towards him who had helped them significantly when perhaps almost no one even knew who they were. But these are just my feelings, and they clearly don’t matter.. when it comes to Armie or Timmy, you know, I always feel fucking protective and vulnerable about them.
As for the message you're referring to, I honestly don't know what the anon finds so 'bad' about these people, maybe because they turned their backs on him when his image was no longer needed...or for other reasons that this anon knows but I don't..🤷‍♀️ I don't know, I'm just making assumptions obviously.
Anyway, if Armie has contact with them again as it seems, evidently he doesn't think like our anon about these people and he'll have his valid reasons for still having relations with them, reasons of which we can't know anything and it's right so.
It's about his personal relationships and his choices, and I trust him. 💙

Lee Tilghman, aka former wellness influencer Lee From America, was featured in the NYTimes recently for her turn away from influencing and into a murky post-influencing lifestyle. I find her story fascinating!
I don't think I would have known about Lee if I hadn't been working at Well+Good. At the peak of her influence, she was posting elaborate smoothie bowls layered with neat toppings and gooey nut butters, managing her PCOS symptoms through something called "seed cycling" (basically eating different seeds at different times of the month to balance hormones), drinking gallons of matcha... Her wellness practices were incredibly photogenic, therefore perfect for IG, and she used the platform to reach an audience of people who were delighted by dreamy parfaits and who had serious health issues they were hoping to address outside of the realm of the doctor's office.
Classic wellness conundrum: there is way more to Health than prescription drugs and one-size-fits-all medical recommendations ("lose 10 pounds"); women's health especially is a realm of a ton of understudied pain; "wellness" of course is a zone ripe for scams, charlatanism and trickery. Plant medicine, for example, is thousands of years old and absolutely has real effects...but do you want to consume that ashwagandha in the form of a gummy marketed by a Kardashian?
I reached out to Lee's business email once during my time at W+G when I was producing videos. I want to say I was looking for a source to talk about smoothies, maybe matcha? Her response was a blunt ask for the editorial budget, which was zero, and I never responded to her. Her request was fair enough — in the Times article she said she her peak influencer take was something like $300,000 a year, which is obviously a healthy income, but also seems like not enough money to essentially live one's entire life online, post photos of every meal and beverage, act as a sounding board for strangers' health problems in the comments of IG posts, etc.
Lee's wellness arc ended with an announcement that her commitment to a life of juices and yoga and avoiding grains and "toxins" had left her orthorexic, and seeking treatment. Since then, she ditched the smoothieposting, had a brief interlude where she put up a lot of pictures of her rescue dog, was at one point going to study to become an interior designer, and now has landed in a position where she appears to be technically unemployed (by a traditional employer that is), publishing a newsletter to 20,000 readers, and hosting a workshop where she shows other influencers how to detach from and leave behind their influencer careers. She bills herself as an "ex wellness influencer recovering from too much kale."
I find her thing so interesting because it seems like even by calling herself as an ex influencer, she is now even still influencing...as an ex influencer. Influence as I am increasingly seeing it, is more than just posting about stuff you like and consume and having others like and consume it too — it is the embodiment of a combination of knowledge and taste that can only be expressed through you, yourself, your life. And the expression, ideally, involves some sort of personal stakes. People can get health advice from anywhere on the internet, and smoothie recipes from anywhere on the internet, but when that info is embodied in a person who you can look at and judge — judge their weight, the quality of their skin, the size and cleanliness of their apartment, their success in romance, the vacations they take, whether it looks like they're really having a good time — it becomes weighted, parasocial, and of course extreeeemely valuable to brands.
I have no idea what the content of Lee's un-influencing course is. I would imagine some of it would have to do with the process of detaching from the steady flow of attention that comes to you when you live your life online and others admire it. I can't imagine how addictive that shit is. I think we're only at the beginning of an understanding the addictiveness of internet attention, both good and bad. It's something I have to personally be careful about! I see a change in my own mood when I post something that a lot of people see and like. There's a certain mania that I feel when something I post goes viral. I recently put a TikTok up on the Alt's account that ended up with a modest amount of views, and it freaked me out. That many people have seen me, that many people have judged me in some way.
I feel like the common female American dream of the past century has involved monetizing being the center of attention. For a long time that meant being a movie star. Then it was being a model — runway model, Victoria's Secret model. Now it's being an influencer. Get paid to travel, paid to wear clothes, paid to do makeup, paid to eat food, paid to be. But the gap between the center of attention and the source of the attention is closing. You could have probably holed up in Hollywood while starring in motion pictures on a studio contract and stayed relatively unbothered. Maybe you'd have to answer some fan mail. Now you have a thousand people a post screaming at you because you once said you were avoiding gluten and now you're eating a bagel. Is it worth it to build a particular brand online if it means you can't change? Even though you're no longer peddling a lifestyle that contributed to your own eating disorder?
I keep saying privacy is going to be the last real luxury. I'm imagining some kind of demifluencer, who has taste and style and a point of view, but who hasn't posted in a way that has people drawing floor plans of their apartment or stalking their preferred workout class.......monetizing mystery.......

Day Six - Arashiyama Bamboo and Monkey Forest
Ohayyo, good morning!
Today we are off to see some nature! We have to catch a train there, so we started our day downstairs at the Tully's Coffee. They had HOT DOGS and they were magnificent. Then, walking through the station we did a bit of shopping at a supermarket and stocked up with some "back pack snacks" including bananas and some chippies for the road -- and we got an ice cream from a vending machine... onwards to Arishiyama, where the Bamboo Grove is. 
The Bamboo Grove is so pretty. Did I learn anything about it? No. We walked along, and there were a lot of people, so it was hard to get a nice photo, but at the end there was a really pretty garden which was put together by an actor from the 1800s or something. With the colours of autumn, it looked so warm and calming. I wish we could have stayed for longer, but alas. Hunger. So, we decided to get a snack before walking to the Monkey Forest -- some yakitori. Stick food goodness. I got a cucumber on a stick, lightly pickled -- and ben got the chicken.
Then, for our HIKE up MONKEY MOUNTAIN. YEEESH! 
I remembered, as we got to the gate -- that I still had the bananas in my backpack. I was terrified I was going to be AMBUSHED! It was a big hike uphill to the monkeys, and we didnt see any on the way up. Apparently, it was feeding time anyway -- so we got to see them all hanging out at the top. It was an awesome view and the monkeys are so cute. Theyre Japanese Macaques which are the only type of monkey in Japan. The same ones that live in the snow and go bathing in the onsens too. 
Before heading back to Kyoto, we decided to get some local food from the stalls again. This time, some dango with sweet soy, strawberries covered in toffee on a stick (omg GLORIOUS) and Ben got a Kyoto Matcha Beer. 
Now -- to find some real food again. This of course comes with adventures. Ben wanted something... hearty. So we looked for a steak place that does Wagyu. Of course, being that now it was 8pm -- everything was closed. We came across a place that had a korean/japanese fusion BBQ and decided to lash out and get some high end food. He chose it all and we cooked it on the plate in the middle of the table. It was decadent. 
Walking back, we took the "long way" -- aka I wanted to go to the Gion District and check out the shrine that lights up the whole road. Shrines at night are really something else.

"Day Five: Arayshiyama 🎍
We are slowly running out of endurance… but it’s Saturday so that means crowds, and that means we have to slow down. We went to Arashiyama today and visited the Bamboo Grove and the Monkey Park (or as we have found out it is nicknamed “Monkey Mountain”).
It was worth it but oh my god, my hips were screaming at me on the way up. 🫠
At night we went looking for some Wagyu Beef… check the next post for our fooooood. 🥩"
"Started the day with a hotdog from Tullys Coffee… then at the foot of the bamboo grove, we tried lots of the street foods.
The cucumber on a stick was fresh and crisp and a little bit salty. The strawberry’s in toffee were the best. New favourite! Sorry crepes!!
Then, for dinner, we wanted to find somewhere nice but options were limited after 9pm. We had a quick gyudon at Yoshinoya and then hit the jackpot at a Wagyu BBQ restaurant. It was so yum!!
