It’s very obvious why, but Rouga gives off the energy and tenacity of the creatures, not to mention his hair color screams wofl pelt. 

BLACK BEARS

He’s been known to go off into the wilderness for weeks at a time, surviving off the land. If there’s water nearby you can bet he’ll be wading in it to catch fish with his bare (pun fully intended) hands. Also he loves sleeping a ton.

CROCODILES

When Rouga wantss something, he stops at nothing, including revenge. Not so much anymore, but when he first came to have DISASTER FORCE he’d often go to old stomping grounds to fight (both fist and cards) people who had eased him in his early life.

HONEY BADGERS

He’s got that “never back down” mentaility to a T. Even if someone is larger than him he’ll not hesitate to throw hands. He’s also someone you’d never want to see fully angry or pissed off, it’s not pretty.

SHARKS

He can smell blood from a long distance, and had indeed eaten both raw flesh (of animals) and even carrion before, and isn’t above eating anything he can to survive.

BLACK MAMBA

If he punches you, your face is going to be swollen. Case in point why this animal is on the list (ahahah). Also he can be very quiet while moving.

Bruce crouched next to the small child that had been bounding around for the last few months healing people, watching idly as they scribbled on a paper with quiet chirps. Spirit, the rest of Gotham had named them, Spirit and their Sister. 

“Hi Mr. Bat!” The child beamed from behind the mask when they finally looked up, burn scar stretching slightly. 

He ignored the gibbering man in the corner, at least for now, seeing as he’d just arrived. “Is your sister around?” The other, well he wouldn’t call them vigilantes seeing as the kids (He’d be surprised if Sister was an adult) focused more on evacuation or healing, but it was the closest word. 

“Nope!” the child put their crayons away in one of the many pockets inside the almost victorian-styled coat, one of the reasons they’d gotten their name. “Uncle Kerian is watchin’ me tonight, ‘cause Sister is busy.” 

“Uncle?” 

“Uncle!” 

Bruce could be forgiven for the startled wheeze when the literal shadows twisted and ripped, a pair of Lazarus-green eyes- or whatever they were- gleaming from the darkness, dark hair twisting as sharp teeth similar to the siblings’ were bared in very open warning. As if the giant flaming sword wasn’t enough of a warning already. 

Ah. That’s who had traumatized the several would-be kidnappers then.

I can't properly put into words the amount of disgust that I feel seeing someone who looks like she could be my cousin fight for a genocidal occupational force like Israel but I will say this.
