When I think about the possibility of Vivi rejoining the crew, I can’t help but think about what makes her stand out when placed next to the other Strawhats.
To me her goals were always the most altruistic in the crew. She always tried to maintain peace, teaching Luffy about putting your pride aside and being patient for others. I think about the motives behind her actions, and then I compare them to the Strawhats, who are mostly incredibly selfish.
I love all the Mugiwara because of their selfish traits and not despite of them, of course. But let’s all remember the only reason they ever initially agreed to save Vivi’s life was because Nami downright forced Igaram to offer up a reward in exchange (as Navivi trash this fact makes me all the more insane about how their bond developed). And then you have others like Franky, whose introduction was him beating and robbing Usopp with zero remorse, and even our dear Sanji who once said they should just leave Smoker to die because he’s their enemy. Lovable bastards all of them, but it’s always been clear to me that Vivi is much more prone to wanting to do the right thing, instead of what she really wants or what is best. Like dropping everything to find Nami a doctor despite how desperate she was to reach Alabbasts, and being willing to run around the dessert desperately to avoid the bloodier solution, running herself and the crew ragged so she wouldn’t put others in danger by facing Crocodile head-on. And most of all, choosing to stay behind the first place.
I cant help but view her as a bit of a moral compass among the crew, a pacifistic and self-sacrificial even to her own detriment. If she’d stayed with the Strawhats, or if she were to rejoin them, in which direction would she manage to stir them…?

I want in on talking about Annabel and Prospero.
Since most posts I've seen are about how nice it is to watch them being healthy for one another (it really is, I adore their dynamic) I decided to talk about how neither of them would hesitate to kill one another eventually.
First of all both Annabel Lee and Prospero are calculative people. Both of them care for only the outcome and how to get there. I have seen people call Annabel a hypocrite for protecting Prospero because he's important to her after what she did to Duke and I entirely disagree, more on the rescue from Ada later. We have established that Annabel really doesn't care that everyone in the academy (except one, if the Deans can be trusted) is doomed.
I don't think Annabel's general willingness to sacrifice people needs to be discussed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, I'm leaning a bit far out the window here, but take a good look at Prospero in the left picture above, he looks more frustrated than anything. His chances just got a lot worse, he needs to rethink his strategy and on top of all that Ada is invading his personal space again.
Moving forward to what I think makes their mutual betrayal inevitable, the episodes after the Mansion Arc (this is were it gets interesting):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Until now we have seen Prospero mostly be mildly bothered by whatever is happening. When everything fell apart during the Lesson and everyone except for him apperently just did not do their job, he seemed like he was about to explode and seriously questioning his choice of team. Everyone else appeared to just want to go on with the day, Prospero however demanded answers, proving that he cares to win this entire game without getting side tracked.
Further his behaviour during the lesson shows that he actually doesn't get how anyone else would still be reluctant to kill their friends here. He was genuinely not expecting anyone to act out of empathy anymore.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And after the widow's watch affair and him witnessing Annabel freaking out after the labyrinth and smoothly asking about Pluto instead of giving an explanation, he is surely just one big-ish failure or unwillingness to take action away from openly confronting Annabel how it can be that whenever she is alone with Lenore, things go south ways, how whenever people want to act against Lenore, she calls it a waste of time despite the growingly obvious threat that Lenore poses.
I think Annabel actually does matter to him, and I think he matters to Annabel as well, but both of them expect something really specific from one another and sympathy alone means little to them.
Now about Annabel saving Prospero.
I believe this says everything:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Since Annabel is a chess player, get ready for chess metaphors:
In chess, most gambits are about giving away a pawn. Why? Because a pawn has very little value on its own and sacrificing a pawn in order to get a slightly more profitable structure on the board can actually be worth it.
Sacrificing a queen? If you do something like that, you better be 100% sure you're seeing a forced checkmate.
Not only is Prospero's spector really powerful, Prospero is also the only thing keeping Annabel in control of her own team right now. Other than Prospero who's supporting her as long as she keeps bringing results, she is stuck with Ada who is a complete wild card and useless most of the time, Morella who is only half on her team, Will who is loyal mostly to Montresor and Montresor who constantly challenges her leadership.
Tumblr media
The way things are standing right now, everything she has build would fall apart the very moment Prospero is gone.
Also, what if Annabel and Lenore have to stay long enough for their teams to start falling apart? Whom does Annabel want to face in a one on one? Someone like Montresor who's spector can very much use brute force against her or someone like Prospero who's spector is similarly unforceful as hers?
We even saw, that Annabel can just simply neutralise Prospero's rats with her fog, leaving him with no real attack on her. While he applies her with status conditions she can use her blossoms to attack him after she used her fog to make his rats disappear like she did on the widow's watch
Tumblr media
Annabel did not safe him because she likes him, which she does. She saved him because he is a very important piece for her game and no real threat to her in the long run.
Prospero follows Annabel not because he likes her, which he does, but because she keeps bringing results. Or at least she did until rather recently.

Ooooh~ Had a THOUGHT(TM)~☆! Accidental Meta Powers Groping Au! :D
Consider all the Weird Shit(tm) Batman gets exposed to during the course of your standard Superheroic Adventure. Goo and Rays and Beams, curses and countercurses. Gods. Alien nonsense. It's A LOT for the body to handle!
He goes away to help the JLA on some Alien Distress call. Gets VERY fucked up. Big ouch. Might not make it. But he saved the building full of kids he was trying to evacuate and stopped the alien's planet from being blown up.
So? They make an exception for him. Since he's their HERO.
They use their Super Advanced Alien Healing Pod on him. Don't worry buddy! We scanned the OTHER human with you and know what a healthy human looks like! We can fix you!
Problem? That other human? A dumbass. So worried about Batman... they forgot that THEY were Meta and HE was NOT.
And Batman is a little too unconscious and full of holes that shouldn't be there to remind anybody. #OhNo.
Bruce wakes up on the flight back. Feels a decade younger. Which he SHOULD because the Meta Dumbass is in his TWENTIES. You dense, dense mother-fucker! Bruce has VISABLY lost a DECADE. He wants to hit him.
A chair flies from next to him, directly at the guys head.
What.
He's telekinetic. WHY does he have telekinesis? Meta Dumbass starts sweating. It's... a long flight.
Worse? Green Lantern stayed behind to help organize relief efforts. It'll be AT LEAST a year before he's back and can get Bruce back to normal. He knows, because he strong arms a deep space video call.
They kinda used their LAST function pod on him. Great honor and all that. Are horrified they fucked up. But can't fix anything until the planet is less... flattened.
Bruce breathes. Remembers his meditation training. This is Fine(tm). He understands. Take your time, not your fault. He's just gonna have to get this under control until it can be fixed.
Problem is? It responds to his thoughts. Usually before he's aware he's having them. Thirsty? Here's a drink. Vaguely tired? Chairs. Note to self? Why not ACTUAL notes? Pen and paper!
He gets home EXHAUSTED. Explains what happened to Alfred. Not so much Tim, but Tim overhears, since he's eating dinner in the room. Weird things happen and things moving? Don't be alarmed. Just Bruce. Got it.
Tim feels someone ruffle his hair. Hug him.
Bruce is across the room and already turning away. Ah. Better not mention it. He's already jumpy around affection. Barely getting better. If he thought even THINKING about stuff like that was bad? Because it would "betray him"? Yeeeeah, hard pass, Tim decides. Besides. Hugs are nice, even if Bruce doesn't know he's giving them.
But of course~ Bruce is obsessive. His thoughts fixate and spiral. Tim gets used too, very quickly, the panicked pat-downs by hands that arent there, looking for injury. The lingering holds on the back of his uniform, ready to drag him back from danger or jumps Bruce doesn't think he can make. The hair ruffles. The almost needy, full body hugs.
Touches no one can see. That Bruce doesn't realize just WANTING, makes happen.
Tim has a great Party Mask. Has long been able to ignore choking suits and pinching shoes, the exhaustion, all the bruises from chasing his idols, and keep his face serene. This is no different.
Then the classic Go Wrong. Our beloved Ivy.
No place for Robins. So Bruce goes alone. Saves the day. But is hit, as usual. An unfortunate reality of her escapes. Has already hit himself with the counter-agent... but... he suspects this might be a new strain. It wasn't as effective as it should be.
He stumbles out of the car and into the emergency wash. Tim is there to help him get upstairs, as he all but falls out. It's a mistake.
There are hands and tounges, licking and groping and sucking EVERYWHERE, the second Bruce locks eyes on him. Digging into and worshipping places NO ONE has ever touched before, so hard his legs lock up and he freezes. He can barely move. Doesn't know what expression he's making but knows he's choking on the noises he's trying hard NOT to make.
They collapse half way to the stairs. Bruce pulling him into a vice tight hug, panting against a shoulder, as he trembles and refuses to give into what he so badly wants to DO to him. Not realizing he already IS. That fingers and tounges are working his holes open. Plunging in and in and IN. Finding things and grinding.
Tim can only shake and try to suck in air. Try not to let the noises out. Because he's afraid if he gives in, he won't be able to STOP. Everything's gotten so wet. He can't move. It's too much, all at once. Feels good but is scary. But Bruce is here. And he's trying NOT too. Not his fault. And, and-!
Alfred saves them. Is able to haul Bruce up and off to his room. Give Tim an anti-agent.
Because he got "exposed" too. Helping Bruce.
He doesn't argue, even if the shot makes him feel sick for a while. But, the thing IS? Bruce has become... AWARE of him, now. Because now the hands massage and stroke. He feels them palm his chest or butt, just to tease or squeeze a bit.
And after patrol? When they go to BED? Tim has to read Bruce's mood. Decide if he wants to stay at the Manor or his house. Because? When Bruce his stressed? He... relieves it. Perfectly normal, of course. But his THOUGHTS? Tim knows they're of him.
Because he feels them.
And he... he doesn't know if he's READY. It was so, so MUCH.
But of course, Bruce is better at hiding things then even HE is. And eventually he slips up. Is staying over. When one moment he is getting comfy, the next? Hands are pining him to the bed. His own pajamas used to muffle him, pushed up and out of the way. So mouths that aren't there can tease and abuse his nipples. Lick his skin like they want to devour him.
Go lower and lower. Pajama pants gone and hands holding him wide. For the world and no one at all to see. Bruce's clashing thoughts and desires meaning Tim gets both. Fingers teasing him AND mouth eating him out. Squeeling and panting, thrashing but unable to escape. His orgasms secondary to the fantasy happening a few rooms over.
Having a tounge fuck him even as fingers do. His chest being teased. Being able to HEAR the wet shlick noises and see his skin react. Feeling his hole being held open for something BIGGER. His ass being teased. Bruce unable to decide but turned on none the less.
Filled up, his first time on a cock that isn't even THERE. And, oh. Tim feels good and terrible and so FULL. Then it's moving and it's just good and full. Pounding all the good parts. Punching little noises out of him. And he wish it wasn't the powers. That Bruce was HERE doing it. But it's GOOD. And he ends up gushing wet and boneless.
LOVES Bruce's Stress Relief nights. Would go over and HELP if he could.
But Bruce is still affection shy. And Tim is still working on that. But hey.
Now Tim has a goal.
(And is DEVASTATED when they fix Bruce's "Gene Spliced Problem" even if he won't say why.)

I've Become A True Villainess - By Bumho (8/10)
Tumblr media
This looks average but it is not. The lore is good. The characters are the way they are for a reason. Even the more flawed and unreasonable villains make sense. There's an assassination attempt in the first ten chapters, plus a ruined wedding, so buckle up.
Sterne. It is a name laced with power. Only the luckiest people born under highly specific situations get to become a Sterne. If you are one well...you're invaluable. You can do whatever you want and people kind of have to put up with it.
Tumblr media
Seria Sterne is gorgeous, young and a noble on top of that...kinda. She struggled with an inferiority complex for her entire life, because her mother was a commoner that happened to catch her father's eye. When she became the Sterne she neglected her duties. She did the bare minimum. She abused her maids. The world let her get away with it all, because she was special.
Tumblr media
She is killed by her fiancé, after another holy woman appears. In this setting a Saint is just below a Sterne in importance, and of course the true identity of the Saint is discovered later on. The pure and new Saint is also a Sterne, who takes her duties seriously. Seira becomes mad with envy, and eventually she is killed. It's really fucked up because Seira really was raised to believe that she could get away with anything. When a better Sterne appeared she was disposed of.
Tumblr media
Sigh...sorry but this is a reincarnation plot for no reason.
Seira reincarnates. This is the world of a novel and the new soul in her is a graduate student, who died in a car crash. She knows the plot of the novel. She tries her best. She does her job. She romances the secondary male lead, because he's pretty tragic. He kills himself at the end of the original novel, when the heroine chooses somebody else. She thinks a peaceful marriage with him will save them both.
Tumblr media
She is dead wrong. As soon as Saint Lina appears it's over. Her fiancé, Callis, becomes her personal guard. He insists its not love, but he starts to ignore his beautiful fiance. Seira thinks Duke Rouche will also fall for her. It is their destiny to pamper and serve the greatest woman in the land.
The saintly and perfect Sterne.
Not her.
Tumblr media
Callis begs. He says he still wants to marry Seira. She's changed. She's no longer evil, and he promised to love only her. He keeps fucking up, but Seira does love him. She gives him another chance. Lina starts saying weird stiff just before the wedding. When Callis tries to assign another guard to her she has a crying fit, but he is too dumb to notice that she's faking.
Tumblr media
Here's some lore for you. Marrying a Sterne is dangerous. If you break your vow you and the Sterne die. Lina lures Callis away with lies. They get stuck in a cabin, far away from the holy wedding hall. Callis has to marry a Sterne to live...and Lina is willing to do it.
She's a Sterne.
The absolute coward does it. He leaves his fiancee for dead and he saves himself.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Seira's bleeding to death at the altar. Rouche marries her to keep her alive. At first he doesn't seem very passionate, but give it time. Weird stuff starts happening. Callis, of all people, becomes jealous despite his infidelity. He starts to stalk Seira, and he demands that she break her marriage with Rouche to remarry him.
Rouche doesn't want that.
Seira also stands her ground.
Tumblr media
Um...so this might sound a little weird. Rouche was enabling Seira in her previous life. He loved her from the start. He couldn't help it. His entire family has been devoted to serving the Sterne for centuries. Even when Seira was an absolute bitch he adored her, and he willing let her treat his castle like her party barn. He is genuinely the main reason why Seira was a villain. Now that Seira is nice they kind of have a healthy relationship. Rouche knows Lina intends to harm Seira, so he feels no loyalty for her. Seira has always been his target.
Tumblr media
Also I guess you have to pity this guy. Callis didn't start acting crazy for no reason. He misses Seira. He loves her very much too. Lina is just a puppet, and so is he. The true villain of the story drugged/manipulated Callis into serving Lina. So his pathetic stalking and begging is genuinely sad. Lina, additionally, is a teenager that has just barely reached adulthood. She is uneducated and brash, which is why Rouche sniffed out the fact that she's a fake. (because he is obsessed with Seira, and the Sterne in general. It's not that shocking that he figured it out.) In the end we get a final villain that is actually a threat, a love that borders on worship on both sides, and real reasons for all of the "dumb" things characters say and do.
Stick around for the ending!

Can you lay out what the problems were with TimSteph relationship (in canon terms)? On both sides. Because I’d like to have something I can point to in reference when people get mad when I say the relationship seemed unhealthy
You'll excuse me if I stick to summary instead of citations, otherwise it'd be way too much for Tumblr; I go into more detail on a lot of these in some of my other posts.
From Tim's side, most of the problems stem from or tie back into a... I almost want to say power dynamic, but I don't think that's entirely right because it's not that he "has power" over Steph, he's not her boss or her superior officer or anything. But he does have legitimacy, experience and acceptance within the sphere of masked superheroes that Steph very much does not (or at least, not while they're romantically involved), and that leaves their relationship imbalanced.
Tim and Steph are both pointedly aware of this, and Tim sometimes holds that over her head, particularly when it's brought up that he knows her secret identity (having figured it out after their first meeting) but she doesn't know his for the longest time. He is also sometimes condescending as a result, though what counts as "condescending" is very much up to interpretation -- like, I don't count him ordering her around while they're on patrol together as "condescending" because he is legitimately the one who knows what he's doing and she is the untrained amateur. That to me is like claiming it's "condescending" for an EMT to order around some rando with basic first aid training when trying to save someone's life.
Then there's the complication with Tim's need to keep secrets and compartmentalize his civilian life away from his superhero one. The rule about Batman forbidding the secret ID sharing was added after Zero Hour to up the drama a bit, but the core of the issue was originally all Tim. He had a psychological need to keep the two parts of his life separate, and that required keeping big secrets about his true identity and forced him to keep Steph at arm's length. He knew everything about her, but she knew basically nothing about him, and that's not a recipe for a healthy relationship.
Though, to be fair, Tim himself was very aware of this, which is why, right at the beginning of their relationship, he laid all of that out for her in explicit terms and made it clear that he thought the two of them getting together was a bad idea for that reason. And Steph told him that she was okay with that and wanted to try anyway, explicitly agreeing to allow him the boundary of keeping his identity.
Which is why it's such a problem that she goes back on that and starts going behind his back to uncover his secret identity for herself, in plain violation of the boundary she agreed to. Like, that's the thing that makes it actually bad for me -- if she wasn't involved with him and didn't know the penalty he'd suffer for breaking the rule, it'd be one thing, but the fact that she not only knew but made a verbal agreement to respect her boyfriend's wishes and went back on it, that's the thing that makes it a relationship deal-breaker for me. Especially because once she finally does find out, her reaction is to mock him, so delighted that she's getting one over on him that she's completely oblivious to the near-panic attack he's having as a result; that doesn't indicate that she cares much about his feelings or well-being.
This isn't the first or the last time that Steph will make a verbal agreement that she has no intention of keeping, either -- that's what got her fired from Robin. Tim might keep secrets and have to lie about his activities as a result, but Steph is actively deceitful, you can't trust her word, she'll tell you what you want to hear, do whatever she wants anyway, and then be offended when you try to hold her to the terms of the agreement she knowingly made.
And she assumes that the people around her, including Tim, are going to be the same way, which means that she's also intensely jealous. If Tim so much as mentions that he knows another girl, Steph immediately assumes that he's cheating on her and lashes out in a rage, refusing to talk it out with him and focusing instead on getting revenge on him -- she does this at least twice.
Steph is also very willing to hurt Tim (and other people, but Tim gets the brunt of it) to get what she wants. She wants Batman's approval and attention, so when she comes back from faking her death and he (in the midst of outside manipulation in the lead-up to Final Crisis) tells her to test Tim first by stalking him, then by hiring an assassin to attack him, and then by working with one of his arch-nemeses to challenge him, she goes along with it without a second thought.
And then she refuses to apologize or even acknowledge responsibility for any of it, blaming other people (mostly Batman) and acting like she didn't have a choice or any agency, in spite of half her characterization being built around telling Batman to go fuck himself. More often than not, she bullies Tim into apologizing to her for being upset about the thing that hurt him in the first place.
Also: Steph hits her boyfriends. She has dated two men and has been shown hitting them both, not in the acceptable context of training or a superhero throw-down, but because they made her angry and she wanted to shut them up. Sometimes it's played as a joke, sometimes for drama, sometimes it's an Empowering Feminist Moment, but it's always bullshit because it's never portrayed as a bad thing.
There's also a subjective argument to be made that she is emotionally abusive, using insults disguised as mean-spirited "jokes" to cut down her partner's self-esteem and bully him into doing what she wants. In a similarly subjective space, it's very easy to argue that their relationship began with a good 50 issues of Robin full of Steph sexually harassing Tim, forcing kisses, physical affection and pick-up lines on him even while he repeatedly asked her to stop.
Tim did "start it" by kissing her, once, while deprived of oxygen, in thanks for saving him from suffocation, but for a long while after, every time she tried something like that, he would ask her to stop.... and she wouldn't, laughing off his protests and insisting that he wanted it in a very, "your mouth says no but your body says yes" rape culture kinda way. Which then brings us back around to the lack of respect she has for Tim's boundaries, which is really the heart of the problem on her part of the relationship.
---
TL;DR -- From Tim's side, the issue is mostly that he has a status over her that he wants to maintain that keeps their relationship unbalanced. From Steph's, the issues stem from a lack of respect for her partner's boundaries, which extends to some controlling and arguably abusive tendencies.
And that's not even getting into the very subjective interpretation that Tim might not even be attracted to Steph at all, he just feels compelled to have a girlfriend so he doesn't have to confront how deep in the closet he is and thus gives in after she makes it clear she won't take no for an answer. But like I said, that one's super subjective and up to interpretation.

This is some pre-canon one-shot fic practice that may be implemented into the comic. I only made this because of the new art I did, which is below. Some art note, I am just trying out various color profile view thing that the digital art application I used have, because I'm not sure if I'm bad at coloring and choosing color or it's the color profile, I don't know, just trying things out. Siffrin is not a good candidate for this, since his color palette is black and white, oops, but I'm trying stuff out and improving... I hope... Uh, I hope you enjoy!
(Warning: Nothing morbid like blood or worse, but just for people who likes good grammar. I'm bad with past, present and future tense, so, sorry about this. Also, I am bad at remembering some vocabulary, even some basic words! So the writing can feel... simple. Anyway, that's all!)
Sorry for another interruption, this is just in case some technical error happen. You see, some times, when I tried to create some paragraph spacing in the middle of all of these words, some of the paragraphs just straight up vanished and never came back, at least in my screen it doesn't. So I'm not sure if when I post this, those paragraphs will pop out of nowhere. If it does, I will see if I can deal with it. Not sure if this is a common problem, but it happened to me.
Mirabelle is feeling very anxious and nervous. Recently, they had retrieved the fourth orb after a hard battle with the sadness that guards it. With one left to go, their journey is nearing to it's end.
She hadn't been able to sleep, so she decided to take a walk around, to calm herself down.
She stopped suddenly when she spotted Siffrin, looking up at the night sky, looking at the stars again (she's not sure why he likes to do it. She supposed it's pretty, but she felt that there's more to it than simple observation).
She shouldn't be surprise or startled to find Siffrin in the dead of night, and seeing no one is awake right now (or outside like they are), she...
"Siffrin." She softly called out to Siffrin, trying not to startle him, though it seems he already noticed her presence. He's very good at sensing presence amongst the party, it's what allowed him to find Bonnie that time when the rest of them didn't noticed the child.
"Mira, shouldn't you be in bed?" Siffrin asked.
"I should, but I can't sleep. And so should you. I know you like being up at night, but... it's not healthy, being up at night all the time, and we need to be ready and good to go to keep journeying, and... and..." Mirabelle tries to find more answers, but she ran out of it.
"...Mira, you are worried... Why?" Siffrin asked, looking concern. Mirabelle feels a bit jealous that Siffrin is not feeling anxious or worried about this journey at all. She wished she had that kind of confidence. Still, despite that, Mirabelle knows by now, from the time she journeyed with him alongside with everyone, that he's a kind and caring person.
Despite her initial worries due to his mysterious aura and other factors when he first joined, Mirabelle is glad to asked him to join her and help her to save Vaugarde when he saved her and everyone from that powerful sadness.
"I'm.. just worried. We are closing in the end of the journey, there's only one orb left to get before we head to Dormont to get to the House Of Change to defeat the King, but... what if something happen?!"
"Mira."
"What if... one of us die? What if they are crippled permanently for life? What if... What if..."
"Mira, stop. Listen to me."
Mirabelle stops, looking at Siffrin, who's looking at the stars with pained expression, as if thinking of some unpleasant things like memories or something else. He then turns to Mirabelle with a reassuring face.
Tumblr media
"It will be alright, Mira. I won't let anything happen to anyone. I won't. Isa, Odile, Bonbon, and you. I won't let anything happen to you." Siffrin declared with a small smile.
...She knows. Siffrin would look out for everyone, and lead everyone to safety, disarming traps and looking out for enemies, making sure nothing bad happen to them.
"..Thanks, Siffrin. I suppose I should stay positive! No need to bring down the morals." Mirabelle replied with a smile, feeling a bit better.
"No problem, I hope it helps." Siffrin hides beneath his hat. Is he being shy again? Cute!
Mirabelle hopes nothing bad will happen to her or anyone, and of course, Siffrin. He's her and their friend after all! She now feel like she could go back to sleep now. She hoped one day she could hug and group hug with Siffrin, but due to his weird aversion to touch as Odile called it, she sadly could not. She hoped one day she could though.

How do you think every single would react to their child taking on a relationship?
Bachelor/ettes When Their Child Takes on a Relationship
Tumblr media
Bachelors:
Sam
Sam is... a mixed bag. On one hand, he's Sam the Samson, so of course he's going to be excited. On the other hand, it's also his kid. He'll do that thing where he acts like he's all chill but also watches you the whole time and makes dinner really awkward. He tries to act like the cool dad that's up to date with all the lingo but honestly doesn't know anything.
Elliott
Elliott is, dare I say, a little protective. He acts nice, of course, but he definitely keeps a close eye on his child and their partner. If they aren't living with him, he'll invite them over for dinner. He says he does this to get to know them, and he isn't wrong. He's just... a little too focused on it. He might even end up upsetting his kid over how embarrassingly serious he's being.
Sebastian
Sebastian is very quiet about it all. Truth be told, he's a little nervous about losing his kid. Though, he remembers when he was young and just wanted to have fun. So, he's a lot more relaxed and just keeps an eye on them. He's the fun Dad that lets his kid pretty much do as they please.
Harvey
Harvey, honestly, cries. He doesn't want his little kid to grow up so fast! Soon they'll be out of the house, and then they'll have their own family, and before he knows it, he'll be even older. Though, he is supportive of the relationship. He's put his kid through enough lessons on recognising bad people to trust them on this one.
Shane
Shane is a tough one. It really depends on what his kid is like. He can go from nonchalant to sad to super-duper angry. For the most part he wants his kid to be happy. And if having a partner is what makes them happy then so be it. He's not one to get involved much unless something horrific happens. He'll just watch from the sidelines for any red flags.
Alex
Alex wants to be the fun dad, and when his kid comes to him with the news, he looks really happy. But in private he breaks down. He's not mad at his child or anything, it's just with a past like his he can't help but feel that there's a chance their partner might be a bad person. However, after getting to know the partner he calms down a bit and welcomes them into the family.
Bachelorettes:
Penny
Penny is very accepting of her child taking on a relationship. She wants what's best for her kid and as long as they're happy, she's happy. She tries to get involved by making dinners, though she's a little too shy to really get with the relationship.
Leah
Leah is super chill about it. She's very happy to hear her kid has taken on a relationship and invites them over for activities all the time. She really wants to get involved, but knows they need their own time to themselves. Overall, she's the coolest mother in terms of how she handles it.
Abigail
I'm not quite sure how Abigail would react. It depends on what the partner is like. If they're nice, she's of course going to be nice back. She'll invite them on trips with her to the mines or on trips through the forest. However, if she doesn't like them, oh boy... She'll do everything in her power to softly encourage her kid to dump them. She gives a killer death glare, too.
Maru
Demitrius was a very involved parent, and Maru wants to be one too. She is rather neutral upon first finding out her kid had taken on a partner, deciding to save her opinions for after she knows the person. She is also very honest with her opinions. If she thinks they're a bad partner, she'll tell her kid as soon as possible.
Emily
Emily is, to be honest, a little worried. She gets very serious over the matter; especially is she doesn't know/doesn't like the partner. It's very serious to start going out with someone and it's something that requires a lot of attention. She trusts her child; she just wants to make sure they're fostering a healthy relationship.
Haley
Haley is... happy? No, sad. Actually, a bit of everything. On one hand she's happy her child has found a partner like she found her own. But on the other hand, she's sad because that means her child will be leaving her soon to start their own life. But on the other other hand she's angry for a reason she's not sure why. But she is always sure to present a happy demeanor. She wants her kid to be happy (don't be fooled though, she will throw shoes if things go south).
-~-~-
Finished! I started this, saved it as a draft, and forgot it existed LOL. Anyways, glad to have it done! It's a fun scenario to imagine, for sure. Thanks for the ask, anon!

@ that mafia au: don't u fucking dare hurt the girls. They're too damn precious. You better save them somehow in the end. 😭😭😭😭
Oh precious one, this is the AU they both die in :’)
Peach gets taken out by a jilted lover, tells her cousins to get plum out of the building they’ve been lured too, she’ll handle this, but fails. they have to dig her out of the building that collapsed on her, plum cries so loudly the whole town can hear. Days it takes them to pry her away. She does not eat, she does not sleep, and she never sings again. She is left in a home that she built with her lover, and sits alone in the confides, surrounded by loss. No one can console her not even grey. She loses all desire to continue.
Plum eventually goes on a revenge driven rampage to kill the woman who took everything from her. She spends days in the house with only one of peach’s revolvers, they’re part of a set, two of a kind, and one was never recovered. She knows who has the other, there’s no one else who would keep it. With peach’s wedding ring on a chain round her neck, and hers still on her hand, she finally makes a direct move forward.
Plum uses that revolver to find the woman with the other half, the missing gun, taken as a souvenir, proof she felled a monster of a woman, plums wife, the only person she’s ever felt true unbridled, immeasurable love from.
In killing the woman who robbed her of her life, she too is shot down, and upon lying on the floor, gets to drift away from reality to a place peach is sat and waiting for her in. The line between life and death, a waiting room. She gets to see her wife once more, not the vision she last had, a cold lifeless body void of anything recognisable, but peach, as she was prior, healthy and well, warm to touch, just as sturdy as she remembered.
THERE IS HOWEVER AN ALTERNATIVE
Because I too couldn’t stand the tragedy of that ending. Every time I try to write it I end up just crying haha!
Peach goes to face the angry ex and the building comes down, plum thinks her dead and is the first one after fighting to get free, sprinting to start digging through the rubble, hurting her hands and not even thinking to stop. And there under a table, unconscious but alive is peach. She’s been shot, but she’s breathing.
The big woman wakes up in a hospital with plum asleep by her side, right there next to her in bed. Her hands in a cast, her arms feel like she’s torn every muscle in them, but she didn’t expect to wake up. Peach lets plum sleep, she’s got a bag there, clearly she’s been here a while based on what’s around the space. Eventually her wife wakes up and sees her just there, looking at her gently. There’s a lot of tears, both of them crack, the singer was so worried, and the mob boss thought she’d met her end. Both just cry, laugh, a euphoria of the reunion. Plum of course hugs her too tight, forgets she’s broken, the recoil and apology that follows something peach just laughs at.
Peach’s family are relieved, they love her to death (mostly), and with her mother standing down after such a display, once healed peach takes up control with plum by her side, criminals in control, both powerful women.
Plum is this overly doting woman who takes up the leg work of the family jobs, she’s the power behind the power, she becomes fury to make sure her wife, dear precious peach has time to recover without the huge stress of her work.
They live a wonderful life full of travel and love, mornings making pancakes, nights sat by the fire, jobs where they’re making deals, killing rivals and sharing the burdens handed to them. It is hard work, but they’d change nothing, they can do this together. Plum carries on with her singing career, the pub is sold, and peach moves her business to the city so that plum can chase her dream and find her fame.
It is a given, she’s got talent, and within a matter of time she sees her name in lights adorning a huge venue, her wife, forever supportive and beside her just smiling. She had no doubt plum would get here, she commands a room, she is a stone cold killer and knows it. Oozing confidence, there was no surprise when the woman got to start recording songs of her own. They truly are perfect for each other, highs and lows, nothing stops them. Despite peach being crime family royalty it is plum, a humble woman from a normal family that is held above everyone, she deserves a crown, a throne, the entire world, and peach would face an army to give it to her if plum asked.
Trust me when I say I don’t know which one to do, both perhaps, one tragic, one happy. Let everyone decide on their favourite outcome.
Heartbreak though hard to stomach makes a story that tugs at the heart, and that’s why I’m leaning towards the tragic ending, but I hate it. This the the AU where they fall madly in love, perfect pair, completely devoted despite the odds going against them. They don’t care. They get it all, the house together, the quiet beautiful wedding, the drama of family, the love of friends, trips to distant towns to enjoy hotels and sight seeing. Peach has her cousins beside her as her best friends, they’re thick as thieves, and there’s even space for the emotional repair, plum never found her people until now, and peach though herself unlovable thanks to her mom. It is all fixed with them finding each other. SO many sweet moments, painfully beautiful little memories made between two women who just couldn’t find their place in the world, when no one really liked who they were, and wanted them to change to fit the mould, they refused and did things their way, and it worked for them.
I think about mafia way WAY too much.

The Greed of Men Part 5
Warnings: canon typical shit, Katya being a feisty little shit
Word count: 1600ish
Tumblr media
The next morning you are shown to your rooms. They aren’t as opulent as Alina’s, but you prefer them this way. The bed is still too soft, the sheets too smooth, the pillows too plump, but you force yourself to use them anyway. The wardrobe is stocked with functional clothing and 2 black coats that feel suspiciously like corecloth. You’d like to complain about the color, or at least about the assumption in making most of your clothing black, but it really does suit you, so you hold your tongue.
The next few days are relatively monotonous. Alina trains and you follow her around as often as you can. Usually watching from a distance so she doesn’t feel you hovering. She knows you’re there, though, and will wave when she catches your eye. The change in her hasn’t ceased to amaze you. It’s been so long since she seemed truly healthy and now, all of the sudden, she’s grown and strong and powerful in ways you had only ever been able to dream of for her.
Alina’s confidence is yet another thing you are happy to see improve. She is more sure of herself, of her place in the world, more comfortable in her own skin. You’ll never admit it, but you are grateful to the Darkling for keeping her safe and helping her grow. Arguably much of that change has come from Botkin and Baghra, but you catch the General checking in on her every now and then. Offering words of support, constructive criticism, and even praise.
You still think he should at the very least be stabbed for this flirtation he has with your sister. She’s far too young for him. For now, you have decided to let the fragile peace remain between the 3 of you. You’ll save the stabbing for another day. So long as he keeps his hands to himself, you will allow him to keep his hands.
Today, you are observing Alina spar with a particularly skilled squaller, one you’ve noticed scowling in Alina’s direction frequently. You’re nearby this time, making small conversation with Botkin.
“Do you fight?”
“Often,” you reply with a grin. He gestures to the training field and you shake your head. “I couldn’t impose on you like that.”
“You are afraid.” Botkin states and you have the feeling he’s mocking you.
“It wouldn’t be fair for your students.”
“You would deny them the chance to learn?”
You watch the squaller knock your sister on her ass for the 3rd time today and shrug. “When you put it that way, I guess I have to do it now.”
“Who do you choose?”
“Who’s your best?”
“Zoya.” The squaller sparring with Alina looks up at his words.
“Perfect,” you say sincerely.
The two of you enter the circle drawn in the dirt.
“Kick her ass, Kat,” Alina says in your ear as you pass her. You smirk. This should be fun. Saints know you need some stress relief.
“I do have a few years on you, squaller. I’ll go easy on you.” You can’t resist the urge to taunt Zoya.
“From what I’ve heard, you’re a no-name street rat. I don’t expect it to be much of a fight.”
You smile thinly, but you aren’t bothered by her words, and strike first. It’s more of a warning shot than anything, you are unsurprised when she dodges it. Zoya swings a fist towards your jaw and you block it with your left forearm, throwing a punch with your right fist. This one lands and she grimaces, recovering quickly, stepping closer to you and hooking a leg around your own in an attempt to throw you. You let her, but use the momentum of the move to continue rolling the two of you until you land atop her, hand resting on her throat.
“Good match,” you offer your hand out once the two of you are standing.
Zoya ignores it and hisses,” Beginner’s luck.”
“If you wanted a rematch, you only had to ask,” you quip with a shrug.
“Ms. Starkov,” The General calls from Botkin’s side. You and Alina both look towards him. “The elder Ms. Starkov.”
“Saved by your General, princess. Next time I won’t go so easy on you.” The look Zoya gives you might be strong enough to kill a lesser woman.
You join the General and ask, “What do you need? Sir.” You add the ‘sir’ for the sake of appearances and because you know the Darkling will hear its sarcasm.
“Come take a walk with me, Ms. Starkov.”
You wait until the 2 of you are a safe distance away to begin your usual banter. “Are we going to have another one of our ‘chats’ where you ‘don’t’ try to kill me?”
“Baghra is aware of your ability,” the Darkling said, ignoring you.
“You mean you told her,” you say pointedly.
“Yes. She would like to meet you.”
“Oh, excellent,” you say with glee.
The Darkling turns to you with a raised eyebrow. “That is not the reaction I was expecting.”
“I heard she hits students with her cane, swarms them with bees, and other various tortures. I can’t wait to see what she tries with me.” There’s a skip in your step as you turn yourself around so you walk backwards as you speak with the General. “When does she want to meet me?”
“Now,” the Darkling says.
“Today is turning out great!” You exclaim, clapping your hands. “Oh come on, why are you looking at me like that? I like fucking with bullies. It’s one of my favorite, mostly legal, pastimes.”
“I look forward to hearing how it goes, Ms. Starkov,” he says and you swear he’s trying not to smile.
“You aren’t coming with?” You ask as you arrive by Baghra’s hut.
“Your… conversation with Baghra will likely be more productive without my presence. She and I do not see eye to eye on most things.”
“Really? You don’t get along with someone? That’s super surprising.”
“Very amusing, Ms. Starkov,” the General says dryly.
“I try,” you grin and give him a wink before stepping into the hut and closing the door behind you.
The woman in front of you is both ancient and ageless. Her skin is mostly smooth, but her hair is graying, and her eyes have a depth to them that only time can give.
“Have a seat, girl.”
“You wanted to talk with me,” you prompt as you sit across from her.
“Have some tea,” Baghra orders more than offers.
“I’m good, thanks.”
“Hm. So you are the woman who claims to be the Sun Summoner’s sister. I must admit, I fail to see the resemblance.”
“We aren’t related by blood, but we are family.”
“I see. You’ve known her for 10 or so years now, and you’ve never told her about your summoning. It sounds like you don’t trust her very much, for family.”
“So this is your angle then?” You roll your eyes. “Trying to drive a wedge between me and Alina, getting into my head. Very original. Do you have any family, Baghra?”
“This conversation is not about me, girl.”
“My name is Katarina, not girl, and this conversation is very much about you. What is it about you that is so broken you want to break everyone else?”
“How dare you?” Baghra spits out sternly.
“Quite easily. If this little chat doesn’t have a real purpose, then I am going to leave.”
Baghra’s posture relaxes slightly. “You aren’t what I expected.”
“Good.”
“The General tells me you are an adequate shadow summoner.”
“Does he really? High praise coming from him.”
“He also tells me you claim to be self taught.”
“I am self taught, unless you know any other shadow summoners besides the Darkling running around Ravka, I didn’t really have any other option.”
“You taught yourself the Cut.”
“Yes.”
“Shadow-walking?”
“Yes.”
“Simultaneous, multi-limbed movement?”
“Yes.”
“Shields, walls, and barriers?”
“I’m still working on those,” you admit.
“Intriguing. I will teach you from now on.”
“No you won’t.”
“Why not?”
“Because I don’t like you and I think you are a duplicitous snake,” you respond cheerfully. While Alina may not have picked up on the depths of Baghra’s manipulative nature, you can tell this woman has about a thousand personal agendas just by looking at her. Much like the General, though you find Baghra to be more off putting.
“You don’t know me, girl.”
“I trust my instincts.”
“Do you truly believe the Darkling to be a superior instructor? That he does not have any ulterior motives for everything he says and does?”
“Oh I’m certain he does.”
“Very well. I will not force you to stay.”
“Good, I don’t do very well with being forced into things.” With that, you get up and leave. You’re surprised to see the General still waiting for you on the other side of the door.
“You’re still here.”
“That was quicker than I expected.”
“Were you expecting me to drink the drugged tea?”
The Darkling looks surprised. “I was not aware you knew about her tea drugging habits.”
“Alina told me. Don’t you think allowing her to beat, terrorize, and drug your soldiers is a bit much?”
“I admit some of her methods may be extreme at times, but they are effective.”
“If you have to harm a child to teach them, then maybe you aren’t a good teacher.”
“The world my Grisha grow up in is not good or fair, Ms. Starkov. They are in danger from the moment their abilities manifest. Sometimes cruel and extreme measures are needed to prepare them for that reality.”
“It shouldn’t be that way. Grishenka are training to be soldiers from the moment they arrive. No one should have to be concerned about war that young.”
“No, they shouldn’t,” the Darkling agrees, solemnly. “One day, Grisha will no longer need to fear the world around them. They will no longer live to be soldiers.”
“I hope I live to see that day,” you say earnestly.
“You will, Ms. Starkov.”

Can I request Leizi/Blaze with some heavy bondage, intense E-stim and maybe some latex? Electric powers and a strong cat who can take some punishment sound like a fun combo
anon i honestly fucking love you for this request how in the FUCK did you just stumble into some of my top kinks and with this ship to boot AAA
this got so filthy. lmao.
...
She's so fucking beautiful.
Blaze's head is completely empty save for this solitary thought as Leizi closes the distance between them with her stern, pretty scowl, her steely blue eyes shining with a dangerous light, the slight wispy movements of her hair fluttering with live static. It's the worst state to be in when she needs every available faculty to prepare for whatever Leizi does to her next.
Whatever preparation she might be able to mentally make is the extent of it; she can't move the rest of her body. All she can do is prop her cheek against the pillow and point her adoring, breathless expression at her mistress-just the way Leizi likes. The Yanese silk ropes that lace and criss-cross through her forearms and behind her back are meticulously tied, as lovely as they are unyielding.
Just like her, Blaze thinks.
She feels Leizi's weight behind her on the bed, her small, slender hands easing beneath either one of Blaze's hips and guiding them up until she's on her knees.
When they started doing this, Blaze knew that neither of them thought it would become so frequent a form of stress relief-but curiously, Leizi never failed to innovate on their formulas. Blaze had definitely not imagined herself 'behaving well', as Leizi liked to put it, but the way that any of her most gentle of touches could so suddenly be suffused with a healthy spark sinking deep into flesh had a way of keeping her obedient that couldn't be replicated by anyone else.
The only off-limits place that Leizi insisted upon not sending a current through was anywhere at or above her bust line-too dangerous, she insisted, and to be certain that Blaze's pacemaker was not at risk, Leizi had her wear a tailor-made black latex top to every session: it fully covered her chest, arms, and the perimeter of her throat.
"I heard you were out of control on the mission today." Leizi casually slots herself behind Blaze, her tone even, but Blaze knows better.
Blaze knows she's in trouble.
"It...worked out though!" Blaze offers cheerfully, "You're always asking us to handle things efficiently, right? What can I say...? I really take all your advice to h-"
Blaze lurches forward with a choked cry as white-hot electricity courses through Leizi's fingers on their drag up the back of her thighs. Anything clever she'd meant to say promptly falls out of her head.
"I missed you." Even without looking, Blaze can tell Leizi is scowling, trying to put on her usual, brave face. "What did you expect me to do if something happened to you?"
"But something's always happening. You know I'd never leave you waiting if I could help it."
"'If you could help it', huh?" Leizi murmurs thoughtfully as she strokes Blaze's underwear down the back of her bare legs. "What if you couldn't? What if you just, couldn't help yourself?"
Her fingers rake apart the flesh of Blaze's rear end, exposing her, and from deep in her palms comes a buzzing dull hum of electricity.
"-Aah, fuck-" Blaze moans, her mouth halfway obscured against the pillow, "-fuck fuck fuck please-"
"Maybe I want that. Maybe I just want you to work with what you're given?" She shifts her hips, and Blaze can feel the silicone weight between Leizi's legs and beneath her skirt, sliding along her drenched slit, parting her lower lips and teasing the length of it along.
"Leizi-" Blaze whines, her hips straining against hers. She can't move an inch, and Leizi's just...stroking her. More than once Blaze thinks she's going to finally slip inside, she's certainly soaked enough for it to be a possibility, but then she stops and sends another current of electricity through her ass instead that makes her eyes roll back.
"Can you do that for me?" Leizi finally begins easing the tip of her strap into her, guiding it with her free hand to stretch down where Blaze will feel it the most, "Can you handle this like a big girl?"
"Yes, god, yes, please-!" Blaze blurts, her voice cutting out into a split cry of agonized euphoria as Leizi slides forward deep, bottoming out into her to the hilt. "Aaah-" Blaze can barely put a word together as Leizi works the length of it slowly out, then sends it back in in its entirety with a quick pump of her hips, again and again.
Leizi must be really pissed; she seats a faster pace, and the aftershocks of each thrust become something a little more literal in nature as a fresh current of electricity races up and down the front and back of her thighs, crawls through her feet, and pulses through the front of her abdomen on every pump.
"C-Cumming, fuck, fuck-" Blaze gasps through chattering teeth, and Leizi wrenches a hand into her hair-
"In my lap-" Leizi positions herself under Blaze, "-right now."
Frustrated, Blaze bends herself into place, slides herself down to bounce on it, whining all the while. She's a mess, her skin hot, her hair plastered to the sheen of sweat forming at her low back, and her arms ache behind her as Leizi grabs the ropes and helps her ride, but she's too wound up to negotiate for anything faster.
The only surprise is when Leizi's free hand slides over the smooth latex covering her chest, dimpling the shiny material as she fills her fingers with Blaze's left breast.
"If it were up, to me-" Leizi pants as her mouth hovers closer to Blaze's ear, "-if I could, hold your life in my hand..." Something about her voice changes here, like she's actually asking permission, "...may I?"
"Y-Yes-" Blaze wheezes, still bouncing, and Leizi's fingers contort tighter, static coursing through Blaze's chest.
Her pacemaker shorts out and the absence of its sensation as her heartbeat slips into freefall-arrhythmia is dizzying.
Then, steadily-
Her heart throbs under Leizi's hand, responding to each little wave.
"I know your pulse by now. Every vibration, how it feels when it speeds up, when it slows down..." Leizi's chest is pressing hard into her back-she lets out a whimper, and Blaze realizes she's not just manipulating her heartbeat, but her own as well, syncing them.
"L-Leizi, please-please just-!"
"Yes-" Leizi squeezes closer, "-let's."
Leizi forces a current through Blaze's pacemaker to return it to its functional state before collapsing over the top of her to finish pounding her full back down into the mattress.
"H-Holy, holyfuckingshit-" Blaze pants, squirming through their shared climax with a scream as Leizi pushes her over the edge.
It leaks down her inner thighs, warm and obscene, and Blaze feels so pleasantly full that she can't even support herself on her knees anymore. She catches her breath as Leizi begins to untie her and massage where the ropes had dug in.
"I'll get you water. Did I go too far...? I just-you're too reckless-! You should really keep in mind that you're risking far more than just your own well-being when you're on the battlefield, no matter how self-assured you are-"
Leizi is flustered, and Blaze gets it. She kind of broke her own cardinal rule. With express permission, but still.
Time for aftercare with a lecture.
"You didn't do anything I didn't want. You know I'm not exactly a pushover. Guess it was a little shocking though-"
"Shut up-"
Blaze grins her usual, affable, handsome smile up at Leizi, and she sighs loudly before leaning down for a kiss. Blaze wraps her arms around her, into her wealth of blonde hair, and feels their heartbeats join once more.

How about your grillbys personalities and/ or anyone they can’t get along with.
This is my first time seeing ur fire boys so I’m very curious
Sure! This was fun to write, thank you for the ask :)
Grillby: A quiet monster that does as he is told and nothing more, nothing less. He enjoys working and dislikes it when people try to get out of paying for the stuff that they owe him. (Sans, mostly) He fought in the monster vs. human war and lost a lot of friends during that. He never exactly forgave humans, but he is trying his best to get over his hate for them because he knows that these guys probably don't even remember the war. He's very kind, even if he doesn't act like it at times.
Inferno: Shockingly a lot nicer than he acts, even if he acts like an asshole. He knows that he has to. His bar is a safe zone; nobody is allowed to fight in there, and if they do, they’ll get kicked out and banned. He respects the king and cares for Red; even if he isn’t exactly sure WHY he does, he just does. He makes his own drinks and enjoys seeing people try them for the first time—he likes to see their reactions. Of course he could lose his temper, and if somebody tried anything in his bar, they would see the danger of an out-of-control flame. He, too, fought in the war, but not as you may expect. Inferno was in the healer pack! He only fought when he was forced to.
Hearth: Hearth is a pink fire monster who lives in the ruins! He’s unable to leave, and even if he could, he doesn’t exactly want to. He works with his little flares to sell baked goods to every monster in the ruins! He loves money, hates sharing things, and finds the idea of friendship with other monsters strange… Unlike his counterparts, this one didn’t fight in the war. He’s way too young to have done that! He sometimes gives people things for free, but only once, and he tells them to give out some papers.
Flare: He is a pretty nice fire monster who also lives in the ruins. He hates seeing how everyone is so mad and upset all the time, so he's selling treats that help him feel better! Yeah, they're gonna get you high or drunk. Plus, the food heals a lot! He's a very popular monster in the ruins. A lot of the monsters know that if they tried to fight him, they would have to deal with his anger as well as that of other monsters, so he's normally left alone. Flare enjoys meeting new monsters but dislikes humans because of how they're mostly water. He thinks that that means he would get hurt if he touched them. He's not very smart. (he dislikes the queen a lot because he gets along fairly well with this goat dude who talks about her a lot)
Coal: Coal is a sad fire monster that doesn't get out very often. He has to be around something that would power him up at times, mostly stoves, but sometimes he carries around pieces of coal so he could eat that and be prepared to walk around if he has to leave the house. Because of how low his magic level is, he really can't keep up the big form all that often and normally has to be smaller to save magic levels. He doesn't hate humans for what happened to him, but he regrets having ever met them, and he still believes that monsters should have won that war or that they should have killed Frisk. Coal often looks back on the 'good' times and will share stories with anyone who will listen.
Embers: He dislikes anyone who doesn't eat healthy! He doesn't get why people wouldn't do that when healthy food can taste good and be good for you! He often sells his stuff at a... good price and talks about the health benefits that you would get from it! What he doesn't tell people is that sometimes he likes a few unhealthy foods himself. He'll sneak himself some coal at some points, but he never tells anyone because it embarrasses him a lot. He hates Alpha from all the stories and will try to kill him whenever they see each other. Alpha normally treats it like a joke. King loves Embers food, though! Embers, like the other swaps, didn't fight in the war, even if he did hear about it. He tries to ignore it.
Blaze: He is the one you need to know if you want to know anything going on in the mafia world. He works with food, sure, but every mafia member that is worth their scrap knows him. He knows pretty much everything about everyone and everything, and if you want to know, you'll have to pay him... he's laying on a pretty big pile of gold, but money doesn't really matter too much to him; he is more or less doing this because it interests him. Nobody really knows anything about Blaze; they just know that he knows stuff, and you don't want to get on his bad side...
Phoenix: He changes with his emotions! All of his colors, I mean. He is very colorful, and everyone loves his ice cream as well as seeing what pretty color he would be that day. He's very shy and quiet and dislikes too much attention on himself, so it's embarrassing lol. He makes his own ice cream with his own secrets! Like Dark Matter Double Chocolate, Meteor Shower Marshmallow, Cosmic Cotton Candy Cloud, or even his favorite Orion's Orange Dream. A strange thing about him is that he's not hot; he's very cold! That's why the ice cream doesn't melt when he's around it, and instead of getting hotter when he's mad, he gets even colder. It can be very dangerous if you're not careful!
Flash: Flash is a kind, caring fire monster who loves to help take care of animals and plants. He sells mostly seeds and feed for the animals that you need to take care of. He'll help you pick what's best for your animals, all while making jokes. He loves puns, and that's why he and Corn get along so well! Course Flash does dislike some stuff, and it's normally when people try to get a deal outta him. He feels like it's such an asshole thing to do to bug him about getting a deal instead of just buying the feed for your animals. Sometimes, if you have a good reason, he'll give you a nice deal, but only if you have a good reason.
Pyre: Just like Coal, Pyre cannot get too far away from things that would heat him up and give him power. Because of that, whenever he doesn't want to leave the house, he's often found in the stove with it on to heat him up. It helps a bit, and he's waiting for the day that he can be fixed! They're all looking for a way to give him some extra magic, even if they don't have a lot to spare themselves. Even with that, Pyre isn't the meanest monster. I mean, sometimes he can be rude, but that's just because he's hurting. He enjoys when people stop to talk to him, even if he doesn't act like it.
Lava: Lava is passionate and fiery, even if sometimes he doesn't act like it. He's full of intense emotions that he cannot show all the time. He's very adventurous and loves to seek new experiences! Even sometimes leaving his underwater volcano home... even if sometimes he leaves, he's very protective of the place that he calls his own and refuses to let most others get close unless he feels like he can trust them... he has a strange mysterious aura around him since, well, not many people know of him at all! Not a lot of creatures can get near the heat of the lava, so he's normally left alone.
Asmodeus: He knows that he's a very pretty and attractive monster. Fire monsters are rare, and a lot of the others think that he would be a perfect fuck buddy, but what they don't know is that he doesn't like doing it! Not at all. He's more or less the owner of the dancing club where people come to watch or to dance. He protects his dancers no matter what, and he will throw people out if he thinks that they're getting out of hand. Love doesn't interest him at all, and he thinks the idea of it is stupid... Now, does he really think that, or is it something he's telling himself? Who knows... Not even he does, honestly. He and Lover get along really well! More often than not, they spend more time with each other than any other monster duo. A lot of people think they're fuck buddies, though, funnily enough, they really aren't. They just... chat.

pspspsppspspsps scratching at ur door please open up-
what would the boys be like as dads?
- bestie anon
That one Four request really gotcha, didn't it?
As you wish Bestie XD
Masterlist
Content under the cut!
Wind (Aged up, obviously)
The coolest on the island?
The best dude to go to for stories?
Loves to embarrass his kids while literally the entire neighborhood couldn’t be more jealous that he’s not their dad?
While he may seem like the craziest of the bunch with his children (like that Chris Hemsworth photo that went viral- where he holds his kid upside down and behind him- him) Wind does try to keep everything in his power to keep them safe and unharmed
He knows that he was a crazy kid
His sister wasn’t that much better
He knows that he grew up alright to get to this point
They’re not entirely unsupervised but he does feel better if they stay close to where he can see them
You could say that the image of little Aryll being snatched up still stays with him
Especially if his kids look like her when they reach similar ages
He doesn’t want to be a helicopter parent
Some people of the village think he might be a little too lax with letting his children run around and play
But he teaches his kids everything they need to know to survive on the off chance they would need to save themselves.
It’s for their safety and his peace of mind....well... a part of his peace of mind
Tetra, Linebeck and pirates also take to doting on the children enough so where they might as well be spoiled rotten
They’re not
But they have enough people in their corner and watching their backs to go and grow in what would be the childhood Wind didn’t really get to have
Time
This man doesn’t need to say anything to keep his babies in line
Much like the boys, he gives the Look TM and they quiet down
The kind of father where his kids respect them with every fiber of their being
Has never once raised his voice at them
He grew up with immortal children, Time knows what’s up
Will also pass on the games he’s learned a kid if he’s no long considered a part of the forest
Not overly concerned with the safety of his children
He likes to think he’s done a decent enough job in his youth to make the world safe enough where they can leave the house and play into he field and not have to worry about coming back heavily injured
When they do get injured though, he’s going to patch them up and ask them what happened and help them feel better and send them off, letting them know what everything is ok
He never really got the hang of cooking unfortunately but he loves to pack them lunches by the time they have to go to school
Time tries his best to make sure they’re eating a little bit of everything
He packs them nuts and fruits with a simple sandwich and a bottle of milk
Sometimes he sneaks in candied fruits or a small cup of jelly if they’ve been particularly good lately or having a rough go of things
Despite being more quiet as time goes on, Time lets his children climb all over him
Literally
He is their living jungle gym and for the hell of it, he’ll lift them from the ground and carry them around the house
He could never get past emotional barriers that he’s set for himself
It would be one thing to let his walls down when it’s his partner, but his children?
The very beings that depend on him for everything and trust him with their very lives?
He has to be good- the best- at everything or at least enough so that he doesn’t disappoint them and they grow in the functioning, healthy and beautiful adults, inside and out
If he succeeds at that, then he’d consider a higher honor and any hero title he’d have earned in eighty life times
Twilight
Is the best daaaddddd
He loves children
Is on top of everything
Bottle, lunches, laundry, diapers- you name it
Keeps a record of baby’s every milestone
Cries when they say their first words, when they start walking- surprisingly emotional
Also ends up working harder to keep his village and people safe
And cared for- not wanting for anything
The biggest family man
Not afraid to put kiddos to work on the farm land XD
Extra hands will not be denied
When they’re older of course with age appropriate jobs of course
Sometimes it’s helping to pick berries or brushing down Epona and the goats
Makes every job seem like a game- sometimes a competition
Teaches his kids how to ride Epona early on
....Will find a way to get the kids their own horse
It might be expensive but he’s gonna make it a tradition in his family, so help him
Ends up using more on the little kids that the older
It’s nice to pet the puppy when you’re upset and don’t want to use words to explain why
On days when it’s the worse, he also goes to his older ones as Wolfie
They would push him away as Dad... but they can’t resist the puppy face either and sometimes they feel better to explain their feelings even if it’s to dad anyway
Which is pretty much the plan anyway so win-win
Four
Panic
So many things to consider
When he learned he was going to be a dad, he was experiencing every emotion in human existence at once
Which lead to a dead eyed stare
Which then lead to tears even if he wasn’t looking at anything in front of him
He tries to baby proof everything
Isn’t very successful considering he tends to bring work home with him but it’s a learning curve
Is proud of every little accomplishment his baby makes
They will always be his baby
They can be 50 something years old, Baby is a Staple Name
His grandpa told him that blacksmithing skips a generation but when his own kids doesn’t follow suit he tends to believe it
When his grandbabies pick up smithing under his tutorage, he full heartedly believes it then and tries to spend the knowledge onto them the best he can
It brings back a lot of memories of his own grandpa.
While his baby is still young and under his care, Four doesn’t hesitate to make them things from his forge
Never a weapon
But little toys made of wire or little tools to help them along their school work of help around the house of the garden- just so that they fit their little hands
Don’t get me started when the minish learned that Four had a baby
They went bonkers and continued to watch over his little ones for generations to come (It was a whole things guys- I’m talking flowers in their hair, things that went missing appeared not too long after- baby had an easy time going back to sleep some night even if Four was late to the room- laughter always filling the house- They were spoiled rotten)
Sky
He cried when he found out he was going to be dad
Then sobbed like the babe in his arms when he got to hold them for the first time
So weak for them y’all
Is very much the whole “Go ask your mother” sort of dad
Mostly because he doesn’t trust himself to not give them anything they ask for
Very hard to say no for him
That’s his baby! He would do anything for them! What do you mean they can’t have seven pieces of candy before bed? Or nap in the loftwing’s nest?
But also so proud of everything they do
Will put all art pieces on the wall
Kid draws on the wall? Just puts a handmade frame around it and calls it good
It adds value to the house even, it stays
Feels horrible about giving them time outs or grounding them
Has to remind himself that as the father he needs to be stern from time to time
If any of his kids get attacked, or find themselves in danger, they will learn very quickly why so few things mess with their dad
It would be one of the few times they would be afraid of what might have happened to their daddy that made him... be able to do that with a blade
He would know of the scars... but he doesn’t really talk about them that much
Now they’re even more curious.. but they won’t ask anytime soon
When Sky gets to his baby again, he just starts crying again and the child is reminded that this is still their daddy
Very loving and tender as a father
Warrior
Very busy
He works for Queen directly and works in her court and as a diplomat for the people
Sure the pay is good but he doesn’t have a lot of free time to do as he pleases
That being said, he’d be a quiet father
Stern but gentle and loving
Not necessarily the type to command respect- more so the kind that just is respected
The type that you’d be afraid to anger despite not ever getting angry
Because the anger is still a better alternative than what would really be received- The Disappointed Dad Look
A fate worse than death
His children might feel that it’s impossible to fill his shoes once they’re older
Warrior would never ask them too anyway
He knows he carries a lot on his shoulders
He does it so no one would have to
He loves his children deeply and has their photos on his work desk
His reason to keep going even on his worse days or when he feels too frustrated with the results and idiots he has to deal with
The one day the turncoats attack his family is the day the rest of Hyrule is reminded why he is The Hero
And his children learn more of their father’s history
I can’t say he’d have a very large family.
Maybe only one or two kids if I’m being honest
He wants to spend as much time as he can teaching them, loving them, directing them and guiding them on how to be good people and how to live in his unfortunate war torn world
With his responsibilities it would be difficult to do that as it is
Maybe in a different life he would have a large family to his name
But he won’t be irresponsible that way
It wouldn’t be fair
Wild
Luckily his home is already in one of the safest spots in all of Hyrule
And there’s already other kiddos to play with his baby
He doesn’t spend a whole lot of time watching them
Wild expects them to stay within the village and to be home by a certain time
He keeps an eye on the monsters that are near the village anyway
Wild clears them out when they get too close though- he becomes the villages silent protector
He lets them run off and play with the other kids and as they get older he gives them more and more freedoms
Once their head is up to his shoulder he gives them a sword and teaches them self defense
Ganon may be gone for now, but monsters still roam these parts
Wild wasn’t a trained swordsman as a child for nothing
Naturally he won’t expect as much from his baby but it was once thing to used the blade without them watching, it’s another to not be able to use it all
After this, when he deems them well enough to defend themselves, he lets them go beyond the village boundaries if they desired
They still have to be home by a certain time though
He doesn’t know if his baby will decide to stay in Hateno or venture out
If they do decide to leave, Wild gets very anxious
He doesn’t want to follow them (and he doesn’t have that kind of energy any more anyway) and seem suddenly over bearing
But Wild can’t help but worry now that they’re who knows where in Hyrule
What if they run into a bear, or lizalfos? A lynel? A hinox?
Instead he takes to writing to them everyday instead
His concern is the the driving force that gets Hyrule to fix up a new type of mailing service
It’s out of love
Legend
His child? His baby? His treasure? His will to live quite literally being placed on his lap?
Instantly whipped
He’s not so bitter and jaded
As a man, he realizes that this is what so many people live for
This little bundle depends on him for everything
Fighting Ganon time and time again seemed easier than this
He’s so afraid of messing up
Of hurting them
Of them being hurt by the world that tried to hurt so many others... and succeed in doing so
He has lost so many people
He has no family....And his family is....here
Small and vulnerable and cute... they has your nose and hands, his eyes and his skeptism
Yes, he knows the look
His baby sends it often to him when something doesn’t seem quite right
It never fails to make him laugh
Legend is the father to be proud of every milestone... with arguably more enthusiasm than required.
He had to go through a lot with no one cheering for him or letting him know he was doing a good job or even just being there to step in incase something went wrong
Legend is forever enamored by the idea that someone like him, with years of fighting, of traveling and loss... could lead to something so perfect.
Hyrule
Protective! :D
Almost bordering helicopter parent
I mean- come on!
They have his blood too
Can they also be murdered, sacrificed, tortured used to resurrect Ganon?
Probably!
So Hyrule isn’t going to take any chances and he’s going to implore them to be as careful as possible.
A bit of a helicopter parent- poor guy
So anxious all the time about something happening to them
He teaches them early on how to defend themselves
Does the idea of his babies with blades make him sick?
Yes
Is he stuck between a rock and a hard place and forced to choose between two evils?
Yes
Do his kids know this?
No
That being said, he’s a very loving parent
But also struggles to put his foot down
Like- he can’t say no to eating sweets before dinner or for staying up past their bed time
He gets a bit better with it as they get older- but they just have to look at him a certain way and he crumbles like a sandcastle once the tide comes in
Help him

sooo
-jay and little destiny left behind bonnie and jays siblings right after their father possibly died
-golbetty couldve eaten simon and he wouldve thanked her and had his wish to be with her forever granted but nope he gets to be PATHOLOGIZED! dont worry simon, your problem has a NAME and its CODEPENDENCY. phew, sure am glad that thorny, complicated topic gets wrapped up nice and neat! be sure to pick up a copy of "the body keeps the score" on the way out, simon. (no shame against that book but the things people assume after reading it are wild and labelling a relationship that has some small flaws as toxically codependent to the point of breakup is one of them)
-fionna gets to get told WHATS WHAT about how STUPID she is for wishing magic was real. just picket and play roller derby like a normal girl, its not like the world needs to REALLY change... changing it might risk what you have! and you APPRECIATE what you have, right fionna? need to watch your friends die some more so that you accept wage slavery america as the pinnacle of existence? you should be sorry for thinking it was so boring, thats not very self care of you fionna
-oh but cake gets to stay. because uhhh. idk. it would be fucked up to have a detransition narrative, i guess? and shes not a 20-something who needs to grow up. i guess we cant accidentally teach our audience to become stretchy cats, so its fine, its not teaching them anything bad! but fionna being magical, now THAT would send the wrong message
- every other couple gets to have romantic/imperfect/codependent moments-- gary sacrifices his WHOLE DREAM for marshall. but the writers know its not very 2023 of them to make the gays more problematic than just. having some psychosexual violence thrown in there for spice. but simon and betty? sorry you werent perfect and she dont want you no more
-any romance that ends with "i am willingly breaking it off with you even though we could be together" needs to work HARD for that to satisfy. golbetty couldve eaten simon and he wouldve thanked her. blowing him off into the world IS DISREGARDING HIS WISHES! it just feels like they imposed Recovery Aesthetic onto simon and fionna and were like see :) Happee Ending! dont look at all the loose threads, simon went to THERAPY! zoomers love when old men go to therapy, right?? simon and betty's issues werent wrestled hard, long, and to the ground enough on-screen to sell that she doesnt want him anymore and that that truly is the best ending she can bring with her ultimate power, it reads that golbetty truly did override betty's self and changed her into an unrecognizeable figure. its so stupid that adding a little bit of pathologizing therapy talk can make people say this was good.
and codependency IS pathologizing. how much dependency is healthy, at what point does it tip into being too toxic to save? that depends on which therapist youre talking to. humans are wired for connection, no amount of CBT and DBT will make you not mourn losing a connection, and the pain of that loss shouldnt be used as evidence that you should just be less attached. simon isnt a mind reader, and betty made her choices. you can call it a "fawn response" but that still implies that you think she was unfit for autonomy. if she really doesnt regret those choices, why doesnt she want to be with simon? that question is not answered well enough to leave it not feeling like a swerve for audience members who arent projecting their own codependent experiences onto betty. the text alone doesnt support it enough for that to ring true, not when they only actually delved into the topic for about 5-10 onscreen minutes. Not to mention the fact that the ending ends with a fucking montage where it looks like simon just turned happy and is living his dream of cheers sitcom life. is that really better than becoming one with your beloved crazy wife forever? is that actually more realistic, in the visceral emotional language that stories speak? is it a more satisfying ending, getting 80% there and then saying "actually this dramatic cool story has some Problematic Elements, I'm going home"?
i wish they gave her more lines. they couldve given her more lines, made simon talking at the audience into a real conversation, and they didnt. there were so many things they couldve done and it ended up at something just as toxic as whatever codependency they were railing against, the idea that the relationship we were shown was too toxic and flawed and that betty was clearly fawning for simon and not capable of making her own decisions while simon shouldve stepped up and fixed that for her. they want to play it like "we must go our separate ways" but there's no must. this is still a choice betty is making, to break up with simon for good, and that choice was always gonna be a hard sell but not even letting betty have more than a few lines about it? how do you expect to sell such a big emotional shift? therapy speak, apparently.
and they seriously played the "simon goes back to his life" card WITHOUT a marcy scene??? lazy heroes journey shit.

Tumblr media
^ Real World Height-Check!!!! ^ It's them it's them it's them it-- AUGH!!! I LOVE THEM!!!
I (Twee) made the bases-- Salted did the clothes over them! We also split up the colouring; I (Twee) did Kel & Aubrey, and Salted did Mari, Sunny & Basil!
Some design choices; Kel is a bit less tan than he would be if he went out more. He also tends to wear some of Hero's old clothes, since his don't fit anymore and he doesn't go shopping. Aubrey has more scrapes, but is generally a lot more healthy! She's the exact same height as Sunny, but she's leaning on Basil to make fun of how short he is. Mari is also the second tallest-- after Kel's ridiculous growth.
Some extra notes~! Sunny is less Dead Inside due to Mari's help. He and Aubrey are friends, and he has a strange relationship with Basil; Mari is a bit dim due to Hero's loss, and is generally tired because of college; Aubrey is more sporty-- Her baseball bat doesn't have nails, and she actually does baseball as a sport! She and Basil are friends; Basil is the most different! Because of Kel and Sunny changing drastically after Hero's death, he took to blaming Kel on Sunny becoming antisocial. He's a lot more... angry! Still anxious and a crybaby, but we've totally taken to calling him Emosil-- I'll save the infodumping for a different post yikes!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
^ Concepts ^ The birth of Emosil, Experimenting with Kel's colours and giving him longer/shaggier hair, and an unfinished Mari doodle! Salted did Basil and Kel, I (Twee) did Mari!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
^ Bullying Emosil ^ He is. So fun to bully I swear. Who gave us the power to do this to him, we are so mean pjdsfgpd--
Unhelpful context: Because Sunny and Basil had a falling out, Sunny blocked him on Tumblr. Basil proceeds to literally break down crying and begs him to unblock him every other month when they run into eachother. This is dubiously canon.
Slightly more helpful context: When Kel comes out of his isolation- (which is different from Sunny's; we'll get to that masterpost eventually)- He runs into Sunny and Basil at the park. He see's that theres a commotion, and he moves to step in. Instead of a knife, Kel has a fucking rock-- and somehow, some way, he proceeds to literally throw the rock at Basil's head-- Me and Salted keep joking about Basil and Sunny fighting because of the Tumblr block, and Kel assuming that Basil is bullying Sunny. Everything we say is extremely dubiously canon, and I find that hysterical.
Tumblr media
^ Disaster. ^ Wholesome bonding, before Hero died. Hero begged Mari to burn it, but it was added to the album. After he passed, Mari took the photo, and keeps it in her wallet for when shes sad. In the background, Sunny got brained by a ball Aubrey and Kel were playing with, and gets a mild concussion-- Thus:
Tumblr media
This. Everything we make is Serious, clearly. ... Pehehe x3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
^ Full Images! ^ We had to use TWO canvases this time!!! Sopping Wet Iko emotions are on the height check canvas, but we had to turn off the layer to fit the copy-pasted DW height check! Special appearance of Power. We love Power, we worship Power. Editing these all into seperate images took forever.
Regardless; that's all! Thanks for tuning into our near-daily infodump session! <3<3<3<3 Again; please please pleaaaase tag us pretty please if you draw something, or have anything to say ;)

Hi :) Listened to your season 5 podcast and it got me thinking
So Raylas arc is all about her being too ready to sacrifice herself for the greater good
While Callum is ready to sacrifice the greater good for other people
( I know this very simply but I have poor explaining skills )
Anyway, both characters need to learn lessons based on those morales........
Like Callum needs to learn that sometimes you have to let people go
go, that he can't save everyone
and Rayla needs to learn that sometimes that she doesn't has to die for the greater good, that she deserves to do things for her happiness which don't involve putting the world above herself.....
So my question is : Do you think someone is going to die in Season 6 ?
Because I think it would be more dramatic to see both lessons and that it really depends on the situation when you have to decide which one to choose..............
See, I don't think it's as simple as they just need to learn one (1) lesson as opposed to the other. Rayla should be saving people and she should want to save them (hi 4x05), it's one of the best things about her. It is, as Callum says, "what makes her a hero. What makes her Rayla." She doesn't need to not save people - she just needs to learn to ask for help to save them, and that she doesn't always have to be 100% sacrificial in doing so.
Same thing for Callum. His big flaw isn't his love for his loved ones - if anything, both Rayla and Ezran need a counterbalance of someone who will choose them over anyone and everything else - but arguably his curiosity and pride, as Finnegrin points out: "You're a slave to your [...] pride. / Just one dark magic spell, and you never thought about it again?" Callum is beginning to learn that knowledge, and too much knowledge, can be a burden in its own right.
Cause Callum is pretty good at letting people go. He's able to leave Harrow and the tower in 1x03 to go with Rayla and Ezran; he's able to let Ezran go home in 2x09; he's able to let Rayla go after Viren, again, in 4x09. When they're doing something because he knows they have to (that it's a part of them) and not needless suffering or death or guilt.
I think Callum's arc will eventually be him gaining enough power/knowledge that no one can take his agency away again, but it'll take time for him to get there. For Rayla, her path is more straightforward with her sacrifice.
But I don't think Callum learning that he shouldn't prioritize the people he loves to the degree that he does is the answer; I don't think there's anything wrong with that level of devotion and care (even if in a fantasy world, it can be a dangerous exploitable weakness). At most, I think Claudia may have an arc like that, and even then it'll be her learning how to prioritize them in away that's healthier for everyone. TDP doesn't say we should ever give up our bonds of love (even if many characters struggle and strain and break because of them) but that we must hold onto them and work to keep them strong and compassion and healthy as much as we can.
I also don't think anyone from the main cast (Claudia, Callum, Ezran, Rayla, Terry, Soren) is going to die in S6, but I could see minor characters - Pharos, Miyana, Lujanne, Barius, Opeli, Associate Crowlord - kicking the bucket.

The Dehumanisation of the Saiki Brothers
Sooo since y’all seemed to like it last time, here’s part two of late night rambles by Lia!! This time we’ll be focusing on the self dehumanisation both Saiki brothers seem to have and where exactly it came from!!
Tumblr media
(Drawing I drew earlier today to break the monotony)
So, I’m sure all of us have notices Saiki constantly calls himself not human. The way he does it vary, either saying he’s so different he’s a different species, or saying he no longer counts as human. Whatever the way, our boy does not see himself as a normal human.
He uses this lack of humanity as an excuse for his lack of friends, but tbh I feel like there’s more to that than a simple coping mechanism.
Tumblr media
(Example of Saiki calling himself a different species)
Like before, we’re gonna dig deep to their childhood to see where it started. Let’s start with Kuusuke.
I thinkkk Kuusuke is only two years older than Kusuo. Two years is probably young enough that he never realised just how smart he was.
In Kuusuke’s eyes, he’s a normal person. Then Kusuo gets born. Kusuo is anything but normal. Psychic powers aside, his early development happened at a rapid pace, so of course a young Kuuske couldn’t help but feel threatened.
As fast as he developed however, Kusuo was still a child, so before he even got to primary school, in both of the brother’s head, Kuusuke was a normal child, and Kusuo was abnormal.
This ended up affecting both children differently. In Kuusuke’s case, he developed an inferiority complex, seeing Kusuo as the superior being. Sure he found out other people weren’t as smart as him, but instead of seeing himself as superior to them, he saw them as inferior to him. To him, he was the norm, and they where less than human (I think he calls them ants?? But that might be from a fanfic idk).
This, of course, doesn’t make them worthless. While he doesn’t tend to care for random people, from where I see things he’s never put people in mortal peril, the few times he did he was sure Kusuo would save the day. To him, people are like, say, dogs. Another species all together, not necessarily bad not good.
Kusuo on the other hand, took it on a different way. He sees himself as different from others, so he can’t help but to feel as if he doesn’t fit in. His only equal (or close to) would be his super genius brother, but because Kuusuke doesn’t consider them as equals and keeps forcing Kusuo into “battles” and games he doesn’t want to play, Kusuo doesn’t see it that way.
Since a very young age, Kusuo has felt as if he doesn't belong. Not only that but the only time Kusuo made a friend, a lot of kids ended up hurt, so past the Akechi(?) incident he not only sees himself as a different species, but also a dangerous one that hurts people.
He dreams of being average (fitting in) to the point of obsession (seriously that ain't healthy) wishes to lose his very useful powers because in his eyes, they're what make him different. tbh i see Kusuo's rejection of his powers the same way internalised homophobia works. (at least in my case) you feel different, like no one in your life gets you, and feel like you'll never get the happy ending you want unless you change, but you cant change.
Saiki feels like he’s different, he doesn’t fit in, he hurts people, and also is hiding a HUGE secret from everyone.
All of that said, at the beginning of the manga, this scene happened.
Tumblr media
And Kusuo had a lightbulb moment. That entire chapter he’s been saying how it’s impossible for him to make friends, since they’re not even the same species, yet when that little girl mentions how her best friend is a dog, the idea gets past his defences.
Oh yeah, people can have friends of different species huh?
Sure it doesn’t fix all of his problems, but one of the biggest walls was knocked down right there.
(Also have you noticed how most of the people Saiki let’s hang out with him all have some sort of double life? He relates to Kaidou’s chunnibyo-ness, even his his powers are real. Aaren’s secret past is like how Saiki also has a secret he ain’t telling his friends. Even Nendou’s and Teruhashi personality vs looks thing, none of his friends are what they seem at first glance (except perhaps Yumehara…). Idk it’s probably a gag but I like how he surrounds himself with similar kinds of people. )
Then come Aiura and Toritsuka! Saiki finally finds people like him. Sure they’re not exactly the same, but it’s people he doesn’t have to keep a secret from, who unlike his dad and brother, aren’t obsessed with using/beating him. (Well… Aiura isn’t).
Tbh I consider Aiura Kusuo’s most important friend, they both have something they relate to and seem to enjoy each other’s company without his typical tsundere double speak. Tbh the only thing setting her back is the insistence that they’re soulmates. Maybe it’s bc I hate lack of choice but the idea I cant make my own future kinda pisses me off and I think being told who he’ll end up with annoys Saiki. If it weren’t for that I’d probably hella ship it, but for now it’s my #3 ship. (After #1 aro/ace saiki and #2 Satou/Saiki) Platonic soulmates ftw.
Ugh I kinda got way out of topic but am too lazy to edit it… I’m sorry, have a Saiki bros interaction as an apology, byeeee!!
