I need you to fill out the entirety of the questions for Dillion, Dogmark and Agent Hill also if you have her number you can post that too. (Sorry dogmark ur still my fave it’s just. Big lady….)

Was your OC influenced or inspired by any particular fictional character(s) when you made them? Dillion: Dillion is drawn from a lot of different sources of inspiration, but most notably he's sorta like if you put Prince Sidon (botw) and Zapp Brannigan (futurama) in a blender and gave the resulting abomination Laszlo Cravensworth's (wwdits) voice Dogmark: He's been around for so long that I can no longer directly trace anything about him back to any specific lineage. HOWEVER. I did find out very recently that he looks uncannily like the character in the musical Rent who is also bisexual and named Mark. That was a total coincidence Sloane: a lot of her design choices were "what would be very attractive to me personally" but i did take a lot of inspiration from Jasper (steven universe) and grizzled male spy action movie heroes.

What genre (not counting the one they’re in) would your OC thrive in? Dillion: sports anime Dogmark: romcom Sloane: stoner comedy

What genre would your OC do badly in but it would be hilarious or interesting to watch? Dillion: stoner comedy Dogmark: sports anime Sloane: romcom

What media does your character enjoy? (For characters in settings that aren’t modern Earth, could be media from their home setting or what they’d like in a modern Earth AU) Dillion: he'd be WAY into competition shows. chopped, ninja warrior, american idol, great british bakeoff, literally anything like that. Dogmark: video games! he's always been a big nintendo fanboy, but he hasn't had the means to pick up anything new in years. (he likes zelda & metroid the most) Sloane: melodrama. she doesn't really watch it though, she just enjoys having it on as background noise. but if anyone switches the channel, there will be hell to pay.

If your OC had to cosplay as a fictional character, who would they choose? Dillion: hunky magikarp Dogmark: botw-era Link Sloane: dean winchester

Has your OC ever had a crush on a fictional (to them) character? Dillion: if he did, he absolutely didn't recognize it for what it was at the time Dogmark: oh, several. the very first was both Elizabeth and Will from the pirates of the caribbean at the same time though Sloane: probably, but she will never, ever, ever share this information. ever.

How would your OC do in the last book/movie/tv show/game/etc. you read/watched/played? (the last game i played was minecraft) Dillion: he'd do pretty okay after the first few nights, but he would never be able to figure out cooking and starve to death Dogmark: he camps in the wilderness for fun all the time, so just fine actually! just going to completely ignore the horrors that keep crawling up from that ravine though!! Sloane: she's resourceful, so also pretty good. she'd get frustrated that none of the villages have anything to DRINK around here, but she'd get over it.

If your OC was a superhero, what would they be like? (powers, title, general vibe, etc.) Dillion: Captain Riptide: An ocean-themed Captain America type, with a bit of aquaman (water breathing, talks to fish) thrown in there. Basically just regular Sir Dillion, but with a secret identity. Dogmark: he's kinda already got everything already except the cool name ("What do you mean? 'Dogman' isn't cool????"), although he'd be less inclined towards vigilante heroics and more toward going on dangerous missions because the alternative is blackmail Sloane: she'd probably be one of those "mundane humans but is really good with a gun named Crackshot or Bullseye or something like that" type heroes, although her cursed monster arm would be a source of conflict that would probably lead her more toward antiheroism.

What animal would your OC have as their His Dark Materials daemon? Dillion: horse? probably horse Dogmark: hmm! hard to say! probably some four-legged carnivore? heavily steeped in symbolism of loyalty and servitude? what could that be??? Sloane: rattlesnake

What Pokémon would be on your OC’s team and/or what would be their preferred type? Dillion: w... water type Dogmark: normal type!!! normal! he's so normal!!! Sloane: ground type? maybe?

If your OC was a Dungeons and Dragons character, what would their class be? And/or: If they were playing D&D, what kind of character might they play? (these aren’t necessarily the same thing) Dillion: well. he's already a Fighter, and i think if he were playing dnd, he would also play fighter. fighters all the way down Dogmark: he'd be a ranger or sorcerer, but i think he would really enjoy playing a wizard or warlock Sloane: she'd be a rogue, fighter, or ranger, and i think she would think dnd is stupid so she'd never play

How well would your OC do in a standard slasher movie? Dillion: last to die, but he'd be, like, super guilty about it Dogmark: puts up a good fight, but ultimately no match for the jumpscares Sloane: goes down fighting in a last ditch effort to save the innocent bystanders. OR, alternatively, dies immediately due to her hubris and cocky attitude

What stock character would your OC be stuck as in a sitcom? Dillion: bumbling uncle Dogmark: awkward nerd who Just Can't Get a Girl! Sloane: token butch

Who would your OC main in Super Smash Bros? Dillion: CAPTAIN FALCON!! Dogmark: (copied from a previous ask) idk anything about the current roster, but probably Fire Emblem Sword Boy Du Jour? In melee/brawl he would be a Marth main though. Never played at any sort of competitive level, but he was still pretty good at it. Currently has a hard time holding game controllers on account of his claws and paw beans, especially the teeny tiny buttons on the switch Sloane: incineroar. she's a total shark about it too-- plays dumb for the first four stock, then as soon as she's down to one she opens up a can of whoopass on her opponent

Who would your OC play in Mario Kart? Dillion: inkling boy. [sighs wistfully] reminds him of home Dogmark: shy guy on a little bike Sloane: funky kong!!!!!!!

If your OC was in Star Trek’s Starfleet, what would be their role/position? Or, if that doesn’t really fit your OC: why would they get kicked out of Starfleet? (please take my answers with a grain of salt; i have an extremely casual surface level of understanding of how starfleet works) Dillion: listen, he's already partially based on a character who is partially based on bill shatner as jim kirk, so. he's the captain of this starship Dogmark: some mechanical maintenance role where he doesn't have to talk to anyone, or a security role where he's monitering cameras all day. don't put him in space adventure, he'll get sad Sloane: oh, head security officer. she'll wrestle with an alien lizard any chance she gets.

What role would your OC play in a heist story? Dillion: the muscle. he's not stealthy, he's not good at talking himself out of problems, but he IS good at bonking people in the head and/or breaking down doors. Dogmark: (copied from a previous ask) Getaway driver. He's too nervous to actually be part of the operation, but he's got a lead foot and he's a pretty solid driver. Plus, if they still end up getting caught, he can definitely outrun the cops on foot in dog form. Sloane: probably also the muscle, but in a scenario where she knows someone else is willing to put themselves in that level of danger, she'd be the overseer. planning moves, calling shots, keeping an eye on her team and guiding them to safety (and big money)

What kind of classic horror monster (vampire, werewolf, alien, etc.) would your OC be? Dillion: gillman. duh Dogmark: werewolf. duh Sloane: also werewolf, but hotter. duh

What type of Avatar The Last Airbender-type bender (or non-bender) would your OC be? Any bending specialties? Dillion: water!!!!! he's a fish man, what do you want from me!!!!!! Dogmark: (copied from a previous ask) Supposed non-bender for most of his life, but in reality just never had the opportunity to discover and hone his bending abilities. By the time he learned he was actually a bender the whole time, he'd aged out of most of the available training programs. Unsure what element though! Water maybe? (after the fact realization: probably fire actually) Sloane: non-bender, but she can definitely hold her own against a bender in a fight. probably practices chakra blocking like ty lee

Your OC gets isekai’d to a bog-standard fantasy world. What does your OC do and how badly does it go for that world? Dillion: "oh thank heavens, this is much more familiar to where i'm actually from than the other, much more creative fantasy world that i got isekai'd to right before this" Dogmark: he'd spend a week in terrified denial, then one day a gnome offers him a quarter-pint of thimbleberry ale and he throws his hands up in resignation, accepts the drink, and just learns to live with all the rest of it. his dogman curse ends up being a boon for him, it would definitely help him blend in at first Sloane: she'd spend a lot of time complaining about not having TV or cigarettes anymore (puppet shows and pipe smoke just isn't the same for her), but she'd be relieved that all of her worldly responsibilities and troubles just. vanished. (except for the cursed monster arm, but she'd probably find a cleric who could just. heal her for a day's work and everything's just peachy after that)

In the Muppet version of your story, is this particular OC a Muppet or the one human? Dillion: he's a muppet, but he's one of the full-body sized ones Dogmark: human in human form, but a muppet in dog form. when he transforms, he ducks behind a conveniently placed table and the other version jumps up in the previous version's place. Sloane: she's the human, and she never once acknowledges that her costars are made of felt and stuffing

What would be your OC’s My Little Pony cutie mark? Dillion: a really fancy medieval coat of arms with a nautilus and two crossed swords. way more detailed than any toy manufacturer could ever produce Dogmark: paw print. :) puppy Sloane: a revolver chamber, with one bullet missing.

Your OC is stuck in a musical episode. What song(s) do they sing? (And how thrilled or annoyed are they about being stuck in a musical?) Dillion: he gets the confused and excited "what the hell is happening, why are we singing" number, as well as being in the chorus for every subsequent number. he's a little pitchy, but he's so into it, so his spirit alone sells it. Dogmark: he gets the emotional "all is lost" number that happens on the transition between the second and third acts. it's his one and only musical number-- he spends the whole runtime up to that number denying that he's in a musical, but when his time comes, he owns it. Sloane: she manages to figure out how to game the system by simply not speaking the whole episode-- she communicates entirely by typing things on her phone and having TTS read them out for her. everyone else wishes she would just lighten up a little

In a murder mystery, what role would your OC play? (e.g. detective, sidekick, wacky suspect, rival investigator who gets in thew way, red herring, true culprit) Dillion: rival investigator who thinks he's extremely talented at solving mysteries, when in fact he's just jumping to conclusions and assuming he's correct Dogmark: suspect who is innocent but was definitely in the wrong place at the wrong time and cannot articulate why without incriminating himself for something entirely unrelated Sloane: secret detective-- played along as just some innocent observer, but was actually clocking everything the whole time.

What is your OC’s Warrior Cats name? Dillion: splashstream Dogmark: bramblefur Sloane: tigerblaze

Gun to their head, what is your OC’s fursona? Dillion: coelacanth?? Dogmark: dog obviously, but like. that very specific kind of mutt you see with yellow single-coat fur, pointed ears, smooth tail, and no markings except for the odd white point here or there Sloane: GRAND! OLD! BOAR!!!!!

I just wanted to write some Frender fluff and then being cute...

Sum: Fry and Bender go on a rollercoaster, it being Benders first time being on one, turns out, the so called "macho" robot is actually a little scaredy cat

The robosexual couple was at Lunar Park. Bender putting a beer in the eye of the moon mascot again as he had tried to confiscate it once more. He laughed maniacally and intertwined his hand with the humans. Fry smiled and pecks the top of Benders visor lovingly.

Suddenly, Fry spots a new ride. A giant rollercoaster. Okay, how the hell did that work? Whatever. Logic doesn't matter.

"Bender! Let's ride that!", the human rocks on the heels of his feet like a child excited over getting candy. Bender sighs, "meatbag, I shouldn't go on rides, my parts might get stuck in the gears".

Fry does a puppy face and Bender rolls his eyes. The human does a victory cry and grabs the bots hand quickly, which surprises the bot in question, as he runs over to the thrill attraction. The human was about to go into the regular lane but Bender taps the idiots shoulder. Then, the bot grabs Fry by the back collar of his jacket and sneaks past the guard.

"Oh! You got us into the fast lane!", Fry says in realization and Bender rolls his eyes for the second time. Humans were idiots.

"Of course I did, meatbag, like hell am I going to wait in a five hour line!", the robot yells.

The redhead suddenly kisses him on his mouthplate, electricity sparking quite rapidly, as a sign of appreciation mixed with a lot of affection. In response, Bender could only grumble in embarrassment.

Finally, they make it to the area where you go on the ride. Bender could feel nervousness and fear rise in his circuits but refused to show it. Absolutely not. He's not scared one bit. The next car comes and the guests on pile off. Fry gets in first and then Bender. The human puts his own lap bar down and then sees Bender struggling with his own.

"Stupid...metal...bar!", the bot yells almost about to bend it until it broke. Fry pushes it down so it clicks into place on the little bots lap.

"Oh."

There was a moment of awkward silence before Bender mutters, "I knew that this whole time, I was just testing you". Fry giggles, he loves when Bender gets flustered cause it's a rare sight anyone gets to see. He was lucky enough to see it almost all the time with his boyfriend.

"For your safety, keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle, do not attempt to leave the cart at any time while the ride is operational"

The voice over the intercom spoke in a loud booming voice and then the two could hear a click. The car jerks slightly and then clanking can be heard. The ride now moving, turning on the rails and then going up on the lift hill.

Bender can feel his unneeded breath catch in his non-existent throat. Maybe he was a wuss despite how great he was. Fry seemed so excited for it, Bender takes a peek at the man and can't help but cringe when he sees how calm and collected a puny human is compared to himself.

They reach the top of the hill, the car now on flat path and they turn again. Bender can see the drop and his heart, if he had one, stopped instantly. "Fry...", he whimpered and the human looked at his robot with worry and concern. Then he figures it out.

Fry immediately clashes his hands with Benders while also holding onto the lap bar. "3......2......1", he helps count down which calms the bot for a mere second before they dropped.

The robot was screaming like a girl and clinging onto the human for dear life as the acceleration blew wind in their faces. Fry was laughing and smiling while Bender had wide optics and a frightened expression of horror.

"Weee!!!! Aaaaaaaa!!!!!", was heard from the human who the bot buried his faceplate into. Meanwhile, Bender was shrieking in a high pitched voice. He swore the people on the ground would assume the voice was coming from a female on the ride and not a manbot.

They do a couple loop-de-loops and then they drop once again, Bender screaming his head off. He was lucky enough he didn't pass out as he didn't have the system for it to happen. Finally they reached the end and the bot was trembling with a shocked face. Fry looks at the robot as they pulled to a stop behind another car full of people that were getting off the ride.

"I regret every choice I ever made for you, jerk.", Bender manages out and Fry smiles gently. The human kisses his metal boyfriend once again and the bot angrily mumbles before leaning in to signal he was kissing back. They pulled apart. "I still am upset with you asshole, now you gotta do something I like", the bending unit chuckles evilly and Fry knew it wasn't good intentions.

"Okay fine, but first", Fry says as he helps Bender off the ride after pulling his lap bar up. They then go to the exit area where a gift shop lay and then go up to the counter, scrolling through images until he finds the one. The redhead points at it, "this one please".

In the end, Fry was presumably, he actually was, injured. Bender had cash in his hand from wallets he stole and a cigar in his mouthplate that he was smoking. The redhead was carrying two boxes of popcorn, two fluffs of cotton candy and some "on the moon" accessories. "Worth it", Fry says with a smirk, pecking the bots metal cheek leaving Bender steaming.

"NOT IN FRONT OF EVERYONE, YOU IDIOT!", Bender screams at the human and Fry got the last laugh of the day as they head back to the Planet Express ship.

On Fry's wall, where he sits, was a photo with Bender hugging Fry like a damsel in distress, the human laughing and having fun while the bot holding onto the man was absolutely hating it.

Multi-chapter fics - in progress

*A Little Less “Dracula”, A Little More 2000s Fall Out Boy (8/10): Written as Wakko’s journal throughout the apocalypse, it follows the Warner siblings as they try to find a cure for the vampire disease spreading through their town. Mostly lighthearted story with a lot of jokes and pop culture references, but it does have serious moments here and there. (Self-indulgent nonsense. I love it completely.)

*What Did I Miss? (3/?): An alternate universe taking place in the modern day where Yakko disappeared in 1999, and Wakko and Dot both grew up without him. Now, Wakko is serving as his guardian, and Yakko is trying to fix the rift between his siblings that appeared while he was gone. Fluffy storyline that includes some angst here and there, with emphasis on character interactions, primarily set in a cozy small town.

The World of Tomorrow (1/?): Animaniacs and Futurama crossover. Wakko ends up in the year 3020 with no idea how he got there and is taken in by Fry and Leela. Was already being written prior to the release of season eleven of Futurama, so it stops following continuity after the season ten finale, “Meanwhile”. Mostly a fluffy storyline about found family, interrupted by angst now and then.

Multi-chapter fics - complete

*The Forgotten Warner (17/17): Slakko is Wakko’s twin brother, hidden from the public for his own protection for decades. But in 1994, he has to venture into the world again in order to find out the truth about his family’s past. Very story-driven, but also has lots of fluff and sibling bonding.

Whatever Happened to Wakko Warner?! (17/17): When twenty-three-year-old Wakko returns home to L.A. after several years in Atlanta, it starts a mystery about what happened to him after high school. Lots of jokes and comedic moments in the early chapters, more serious later on.

One-shots

*When the Truth is Told (2,890 words): After each having nightmares, Yakko and Slakko have a heart-to-heart about everything happening in their lives. Fluff, angst, and hurt/comfort.

*Home for the Holidays (3,183 words): When Slakko is upset on Christmas Eve, the siblings decide to have a friendly football game that quickly gets out of hand. Inspired by a Friends episode. Lighthearted sibling rivalry with a heartfelt ending.

Other (things on hiatus, not yet published, or that don’t fit anywhere else)

The Animaniacs Fanfic Grab Bag (2/?): A collection of one-shots, scrapped concepts, deleted scenes, and material from upcoming works. - Prologue - The Last Wishing Star: Wakko’s Wish and Puss In Boots 2 fusion AU. - Prologue - Untitled AU: The Brain adopts Slakko.

Act Your Age (6/?): On hiatus. I don’t think I’ll finish this story anytime soon.

No I’m... doesn’t!

Been rewatching Futurama for the first time since the 2013 episodes came out and honestly, there’s good moments in literally every single episode, even the not-so-great ones. Yes even the original Fox run had a handful of just not great episodes and a few that have really aged badly. But honestly, most of them are still fantastic even at almost 25 years old. I watched those seasons on repeat so many times back in the 00′s that I could still quote half the lines along even after not watching them for a decade. Still sobbed at Luck of the Fryish/Leela’s Homeworld/Jurasic Bark and The Devil’s Hands are Idle Playthings.

The four movies take a big step downwards each as they go, but Bender’s Big Score is still pretty great, even if the whole Lars thing messes with the timeline and then seems to have been forgotten later on.

I hadn’t even watched the last two movies more than twice, and yeah, they’re not great but with some great moments in there if you wait for them.

The Comedy Central seasons start out rough, with a trilogy of bad episodes, including prooobably two of the very worst of the series right near the beginning. And yeah, there’s more “that was good (or okay)” than “that was great” in those two seasons, but there’s still a lot more to love in there then I’d remembered.

The Late Phillip J. Fry and Game of Tones in particular are standouts. I’m glad they finally let Fry and Leela have a relationship in the last season (or two depending on how you count them :p) and I don’t think that hurt the show in the least. I liked that they let Fry mature somewhat while he could still be a dumbass, he’s finally a version of himself it’s not impossible that Leela would want to be with.

I haven’t watched the final episode yet, which I know is also one of the best. I think I hadn’t wanted to rewatch the show since that third ending because I really did feel like that was it for Futurama for so long.

When I turned off the TV before watching the final episode earlier tonight, I was like “I don’t want to watch this because after I do, there’s no more Futurama” and immediately was happy again when I realized... there’s no new Futurama for a month and a half. I’m better now!

Futurama has been one of my favorite shows since I watched the pilot on the day it aired, and I’m ready for more.

On a more personal note, it was a little hard watching the show and hearing Leela a lot since I lost my cat I named after Leela back in February, but that’s what you get for naming a pet after someone when you know you’ve got at best 20 years with them. My other cat, Fry, enjoyed watching the show with me and actually paid attention to the TV more than he normally does. I don’t really think he understood the names Fry and Leela being spoken on the screen, but it’s fun to imagine he did. He probably liked the bright colors a lot more.

Requests are always open because I do not have the sort of structure where I close and open them at a certain time. So you can always send someone in, and then I just ask for patience while I get to them eventually!

Also, of course ADHD counts! All neutodivergencies are considered disabilities in the grand scheme of the word, and all are welcome here! (Although, apparently in canon Fry says he has ADD, so that's what I put in his post.)

2. Random rare cameos in eps. Like two at most in the first few seasons before theres an ep introducing me for real. Im like a running gag "whos that" "oh thats head of marketing his name is andy he doesnt do. anything". then as for the ep formally introducing me i think itd be a post-movies episode Where farnsworth has to have planet express make an emergency marketing ploy otherwise wed go bankrupt then zb's gonna be ljke "hey!lets just let the head of marketing handle this!" "we have a head of marketing?" and then there i am. Well if i was in the show most of what ive been doing wouldve been behind the scenes and most of my Friendship Blossoming with zb happened Off-screen but they very much did happen in flashbacks or whatever. Noone recognizes me Besides him and amy and maybe farnsworth and they all call me new guy. Anyway THATS when #romantic tensions Start to rise between me and zb when im formally introduced.

5. Oh theyre a time travel paradox. Idk if that counts as a power OR ability but in the futurama world You can time travel backwards in time but thatd create a time paradox clone and the clone OR the original (?) could die so um. But thats not gonna happen to either of them cayse theyre special. More about it here. and his trait of being a time travel clone isnt even treated as a big deal by him its like having a twin. Andys clone though doesnt work at planet express and i still have to work out the backstory for all that

Currently watching: nothing... would like to watch the new Futurama episodes but im waiting it out until Honest and Legal (s) websites host them properly. does watching Jabroni Mike stream archives count? they're like, 8 hours long each, gyeesh.

Currently reading: Romantically Apocalyptic rewrite and not finishing it anytime soon by the snails pace im going. once im up to date with Yume 2kki updates i might dedicate a weekend to get it over with. just finished pilot's annet reconnect arc it was good and my chest hurts and i think i also have no heartbeat now. ^q^ <- (blood from my pilot shaped ulcer)

Current obsession: would wager between darkest dungeon and the above but its been dying out, what with learning about the current state of it + author. in between obsessions i suppose... nothing hitting very hard atm. how about my ass get obsessed with badenergy again or something so i can finish project diva sjhkhgdsgk

15. Biggest artist pet peeve?

LIKE.. IN OTHER ARTISTS? OR AS AN ARTIST? yknow what let me just answer both since i don't know in other artists.. gijinkas tbh sorry i really don't like them outside of few & far between rare cases.. i think it takes out all the wonder and imagination of a nonhuman character and particularly their design to go the most boring route ever and just maek them human IAIU#"/ though also ppl complaining about & being arrogant about not flipping their own canvases like why lol. it helps you. it supports improvement. its just annoying it isnt the boast they act it issss for myself ummmm.. i cant really think of anything so lets just say when my fcking computer freezes & i have to force restart it while im in the middle of drawing

20. What works have you drawn fanart of?

oh my god so fucking many dude fanart is my lifeblood being obsessed with media is 99% of my drive to make anything. i do make art otherwise but nothing activates my drawingbrain the way getting crazy about a new Thing does. sometimes unfortunate and something i feel kinda cringe for but whatevs here's some off the top of my head(...and top of my folder): futurama, sam and max, pinky and the brain, green eggs and ham, osomatsu-san, [REDACTED], yakuza, dan vs, undertale/deltarune, community, trolls, freakazoid, bill and ted, half life but the ai is self aware, regular show, mob psycho 100, count duckula, sonic, time squad, fallout new vegas, also a few obscurer movies or such. & of course some im embarrassed to mention bc they suck bad in some way or another ooor i regret ever liking. plus all the stray bits ive drawn for other people or just because of things im not actually into..

24. How do you deal with artblock?

either byyy just NOT drawing for a while, or messing around trying new / random / weird stuff. sometimes even just going to another medium entirely ie (physical) collage. idk if i fully believe in art block really being a thing but i also dont remember whatever stance i had in much detail so shrug. but like yeah generally if i am struggling with getting myself to make anything or amke anything i'm remotely satisfied with i either take a break or i push through it in whatever way. actually wait one more thing i do like to do is redraws of my own old art or like screencap studies & things like that. it kind of boosts your confidence seeing how you've improved especially when you are not feeling confident in your abilities, and i just find imitating references or others' drawings easier than doing anything from scratch in times like those

The Devils I Know - Number 31

Welcome to “The Devils I Know!” For this spooky time of year, from now till Halloween, I’ll be counting down My Top 31 Depictions of the Devil, from movies, television, video games, and more! Today’s Devil is a real Metal-head. Number 31 is…Beelzebot, a.k.a. The Robot Devil, from Futurama.

“Futurama,” I must admit, isn’t a show I’m mega familiar with. In fact, full confession time…I actually don’t usually watch a lot of adult cartoons. Family Guy, The Simpsons, American Dad, Robot Chicken, South Park…I’ve seen bits and pieces of all of them, but I’ve never really been that into such programs. I don’t really know why: it’s not the humor, I don’t think, because I’ve definitely gotten a giggle out of various stuff from all of them. But for some reason, I’ve just never cared about any of them enough to give them a thorough look. “Futurama” is no exception…but it’s one I’ve come the CLOSEST to liking a whole lot. In fact, alongside “The Simpsons,” it’s the only animated show of this variety I’ve ever watched full episodes of, and many of the episodes I’ve looked at are the ones featuring this character.

The Robot Devil (voiced by Homer Simpson himself, Dan Castellaneta, with one episode’s exception) is one of two examples on this countdown of a character who isn’t necessarily THE Devil, de-facto and straight on, and more a Devil for a specific group. (Technically three characters, if you count Lucia from the Honorable Mentions yesterday.) Beelzebot is a robotic demon who commands Robot Hell, which is…exactly what it sounds like. Robot Hell, incidentally, is accessed via a creepy old abandoned amusement park in New Jersey…because of course it is. Beelzebot is a recurring antagonist in the show; he seems to be the secondary villain, after the perennial pain known as “Mom,” and he’s definitely one of my favorite characters in the program. Flamboyant, theatrical, and often childish, he is nevertheless a cunning and ruthless trickster: by his own admission, the only character who could rival him on the evil scale, at least among robots, is probably Bender. (No surprise there.) I love all the references to other Devils throughout this character’s run. Not only is his appearance obviously modeled after the stereotypical Devil we all see around Halloween, and not only does he have a crafty personality befitting the master of evil, but even just little quirks about him are directly influenced by other Devil-related pieces. His love of opera is a reference to the MANY operatic versions of Faust; his love of playing the fiddle (which is made of gold) is a reference to the song “The Devil Went Down to Georgia;” the list goes on. There’s really not much more to say about this one: the Robot Devil is just a fun and funny take on the idea, and definitely earns some kudos in the Top 31.
