Artists creating specifically to sell and trading off (some of) their own style to do it, activists begging for attention and shares and media coverage because they aren't being paid enough attention, UNWRA desperate for donations, the percentage of people who don't mask in 2024 compared to deaths and disabilities, ppl who need to be convinced to vote with principles that save lives and that genocide is unacceptable, how a living wage or UBI is believed to be "unrealistic" despite the trillions in shareholder investment accounts.

....I'm starting to think Mainstream People™ fucking suck, ngl. In fact, dare I say that Mainstream People are the biggest obstacle to progress now.

Malcolm X said it was the white liberal as did a lot of other revolutionaries and thinkers.

I, however, think anyone who can hold their own comfort over someone else's suffering is the problem.

Why are the rest of us constantly begging and shouting and changing ourselves and our bodies in an effort to make them care about us? To make them see us? To give us rights? To bless us with the support needed to make a living?

Same shit, different generations. And idk about y'all, but I would love to be the last generations who ever had to hate themselves to survive.

I don't care what happens, unless the Republican party crumbles, vote effectively. Everybody's fucked rn, and it can get worse.

If you want better, like me and everybody else, go do the work between elections to prop up a candidate who can do more.

go do the work between major elections and vote at all the local ones.

go do the work between elections and help your local activist groups work on projects within, and between your communities.

Being a dumbass for clout is not helpful.

This August, Chicago is set to host the Democratic National Convention where they present to the world Genocide Joe Biden as their candidate of death and destruction. People in Chicago have a responsibility to raise the demand: Genocide Joe is Not Welcome!

With the blood of 25,000+ Palestinians on his hands, it is not enough to wait around until August to protest this convention. It is not enough to be content with getting demands within sight and sound of the convention. An absolutely shameful story about how the "left" Democrats in Congress voted against the expropriation of the frozen assets of Russian oligarchs. Especially distinguished Ocasio-Cortez, who explained this decision as a "violation of the 4th amendment."

There have been a lot of questions to the AOC, including conceptual ones - can a wealthy congresswoman defend the leftist agenda, who in her policy relies on the US Constitution and American law in general? But now the main question appears - is she sure that she can continue to associate herself with "democratic socialism" and the left movement, if she is so concerned about the private property of Russian oligarchs, but not about indirect support for fascism?

(In fact, without confirmed data, I assume that lobbyism influenced the decision of the "left" democrats)))

Please for the love of God don’t let the lesson you learn from the Supreme Court abortion shit be “Vote Blue No Matter Who,” it’s this kind of thinking that got us here.

The Democrats are a part of the problem. They will constantly use the nominally more psychopathic Republicans as a reason to keep you corralled in bourgeoise elections that will never do anything for you. I promise donating your hard-earned money to a shiny new Democrat or voting really hard for Democrats is not going to stop or even slow this country’s descent into fascism, only socialism, real socialism can do that.
