bweird oc-tober day 5 RELATIONSHIPS !!! oughh brainrotting about my muse is my favorite truly 🙏 using an old pic because im in agony 2day oopsie >_<
i love fleshing out this entire family but most of all i love thinking about Lexa's return [tldr she ran away and joined a pirate crew for a few years]
of the top 3 [left to right] we have Nala [her bio mom], Ryne [dad] and Gemma [the oldest sibling] and in the bottom four we have Axel [twin brother], Lucas [older brother], Ida [her other mom yea poly ftw] and Mikah [older brother]
i thinkk i drew this back in February i was like rlly sad and missed my friends LOL but it was fun to think about Lexa seeing her family again 🙏 obviously she was very close with her twin but he changed a lot when she left [hashtag magical corruption. this keeps happening to my ocs] and the family as a whole was always very close but they did tend to baby Axel and Lexa a lot which is what drove her to run away in the first place 💔 IDK im rambling i love them sooo much. ueueuueueue

Just remembered that Satan in the "A World of Our Very Own" devilgram says that he believes he was "born in order to meet MC" and it always sounded incredibly cheesy to me but then I thought about it a little more and--
Originally, Satan was just a small glimmer inside Lucifer's consciousness until Lucifer's wrath reached its peak with Lilith's death which, in turn, resulted in Satan's birth
MC is a direct descendant of Lilith after she was reborn as human
If it weren't for Lilith's death, neither of them would be here
Both of their existences are directly intertwined with one another, so in a way Satan's right
They have always been destined to be a part of each other's lives

Love how Stede’s dream had him fighting Izzy on the beach in bright midday sun, but as soon as he sees Ed and starts running towards him it’s suddenly golden hour. This bitch IS our romantic hero

the doylist explanation is that fang hugs izzy from behind so that we can get both of their faces in shot at once. the watsonian explanation is that fang has learned to hug izzy from behind because otherwise izzy's instinct is to go for his throat

its always ”b-b-but arent you DEAD??” and never ”was it fun getting buried it looked fun?” never ”was it difficult to claw your way through the soft earth?” they NEVER ask if the first breath of air after fighting myself out of my coffin was refreshing and tasted like sorrow and relief. it did. by the way. not that anyone CARES >:(

they actually take the forms of animals usually.. Kairos as a fox, Kamaria as a deer and Kyra as a falcon :3 thats why theres a second ver with a fox mask and its slightly different because its an older version LOL dont look closely

In a Week by Hozier ft. Karen Cowley
“The raven is death, obviously. When I die, I want a good tombstone—something right spooky. LT’s got something against the underground, though you’d think that would be just his kind of place. That’s alright. He needs to, he can cremate me. It’s not exactly Catholic, and Mam would turn in her grave, but God is a unicorn and no one is pure anymore, so. What’s all that got to do with me?”
Johnny “Soap” McTavish has a journal. Had. It is his no longer.
Simon “Ghost” Riley had dreams—awful ones, the kind that sank claws into his lungs, dragged him into sleep, and then sent him careening out of it. He still has dreams, but they’re different, now. Better. Johnny’s pages have folded themselves under his eyes and gotten into his head, brighter and more infectious than anything else has ever been. It’s more than the past, that rotting carcass behind him, and more than now. Now is nothing. Now is ash. It’s like, it’s like—blinding, is what it is. He’s a blind man.
It is biblical now. Ghost has read it backward and forward and sideways and inside out. When he runs out of things to read, he reads them again, and when that is not enough, he reads between the lines.

Actually this post DID get me thinking, about all the times Ed gives up and resigns in the show. It's a defense mechanism. We know he's a deeply feeling person. We know his emotions are strong and he will express them. These dismissive reactions are him pushing those feelings aside, not thinking about them, not acknowledging them, trying to ignore them. Trying to control them. Trying to stay on top of them.
This, of course, always catches up.
And it's making me think about how interesting the choices were in this sequence.
In particular, how the final product contrasts with the version of the script that Jes Tom posted later.
(also reading this again wrecks me wow)
In the version in the show, he is not giddy. He is not happily humming. He is calm, and he doesn't even crack a smile. And I think it's more than just acting/directing choices, it's a completely different tone. His "bye bye" in the show does not read as victorious or celebratory to me, it reads as his quick dismissal and resignation that we see several times before. This is Ed giving up a part of himself without letting himself feel what that really means.
This change feels bigger and more deliberate. Ed still doesn't know what it means to give up Blackbeard. And like all the other times he tries to quickly dismiss a feeling, I think that's still going to catch up with him.
It's such an interesting character arc and I love it and I think it's one of the strong cases for needing another season. He hasn't reconciled what it means to hold on to Blackbeard. We see him bring the leathers - this persona - back, to a degree, at the end of the season. But I don't think we've seen him actually process what that means to him. What does it mean to be Ed? Blackbeard isn't Ed, but Blackbeard is undeniably a part of Ed. And this doesn't have to be a bad thing. This can be a part of Ed that he gets to define anew. I'd love to get to see Ed reconcile this part of him, and how it fits with the person he wants to be. He doesn't have to shun this past part of himself.
I want to see him get to his "Hello, Ed."

I noticed that Spirealm uses a slightly different way to "hide" the main relationship from censors than from what I've seen before in other danmei adaptations. Before, specific words like "confidant", "best friend", "partner", "colleague" etc. were used to describe them, and you obviously knew what it was a stand-in for.
But here they just... don't say anything.
Instead everyone at Obsidian treats Jiushi like a future boss-in-law, asks if he is jealous when Nanzhu starts escorting a newbie through the Doors (You can imagine that when Jiushi replies with "Why would I be jealous?" the whole team just looks directly at the camera, smiles and doesn't say anything). Nanzhu is openly hostile to the girl that clings to Jiushi's side. And don't even get me started on the Looks, the Hands and the Intensity, it's already insane in those 20/78 episodes that I've watched so far.
The word "boyfriend" is silenced so loudly, that what is going on is even more obvious than if the production used "soulmate" or something.
The drama is as explicit in terms of romance as Word of Honor, if not more, just with a slightly different angle. It's like the censorship committee was like: "You can't have gay couples on screen anymore!" and the production team said: "Lmao, bet" and made Nanzhu and Jiushi be just that.
And it's glorious
P.S. This is Nanzhu's "hatred and condemn" look he would give to the censors
