Damian's new classmate was what most people would deem as strange, Damian however could not see him as anything other than suspicious. Daniel Knight had joined in the midst of the school year, claiming to have moved here with his father Fredric Knight (first area of suspicion, a parent willingly moving both them and their child to Gotham) for a new start following his fathers divorce. The boy was reclusive when not spoken to directly, however he would not stop talking when a topic of his interest would come up. After searching further into his past (as he does with all his classmates) Damian found a relatively normal past, the only outstanding things being a noticeable drop in grades at the beginnings of freshman year relating to an undisclosed accident resulting in lichtenberg scarring starting from Daniels palm, and presumably up his arm being hidden by his sleeve. Apparently this accident left Daniel with irregular tremors and, every once in a blue moon, seizures. Damian had thought about taking this suspicious blockage of information to Tim or the Bat Computer to be bypassed, however the idea of sharing Daniel this cases existence with the rest of his family for some unexplained reason bothered him greatly, so Damian has come to the decision to figure out Knight’s true intentions on his own.

Meanwhile Danny’s just trying to live his new, semi-normal life in peace. After a reveal gone wrong results in some good old vivisection, Jazz Sam and Tucker recruit the help of Clockwork to find Danny a new home, where he can heal from both the physical and mental wounds. Clockwork ends up dumping Danny into the DC universe alongside Fright Knight, who was insistent on going with him, feeling responsible in helping to protect his young prince now since he feels he failed the first time. So with a bit of spacetime razzle dazzle, Tucker messing with stuff he probably shouldn't have messed with and a very tearful goodbye with promises to check in every day, Danny goes off to start his new life as Daniel Knight. It was going ok so far, he took half the year to himself, focusing on healing. Also so Frighty could adjust to the whole pretending to be human thing. Danny doesn't have any friends yet, and to be honest hasn't made the effort to make any (Jazz would be disappointed if she knew that), but there's this one boy in Danny's class who might be even weirder than him. Danny can feel Damian's eyes on him, knows how he follows him around without a sound (Danny really shouldn't be able to tell, he only knows because he isn't fully human(and in a weird way, Danny thinks that's kinda cool)), and whenever they do make eye contact Danny can see and feel the boy fluster and shy away.

Maybe he just needs a friend too.

Made some designs for my old superhero au for funsies, enjoy

I am going to take this as an excuse to talk abt this au, some backstories and design details under the cut :)

Tw: suicide attempt (peters backstory) and abuse (hash’s backstory)

Also, i gotta warn you that the backstory descriptions get longer as we go on, as the longer i write for, the worse i get at being concise. My apologies!

Peter

Power(s): control over the shadow realm

Power triggers: fear, depression, sadness, anger, focus

Relationships: hash (daughter/apprentice), genny (ally), ms. Garner (friend/ex nemesis), gabby (ally), prince (assistant/nemesis) princess (nemesis?)

Backstory: Tried to die in a vat of Poisonous Liquidtm but due to the nature of the experiments Done by damian at Unnamed Lab Owned By Damiantm, instead of dying his misery manifested through shadow powers. He was a shadow for a bit before he was able to start being a person again, and he was so upset about being alive that he decided he needed to consume the entire city in shadow so everyone else would have to be miserable like he was. He would be repeatedly thwarted by a superhero in the city named flower girl, who would eventually (over the course of like 3 years) forcibly found family him. He now has a job and uses his powers for good, and has recently taken up a superhero apprentice :)

Design notes: the heart clasps on peters cape and arms were originally by Ms. Garner before she retired as a superhero. They are tools used to help focus magic, making it easier to stay centered and to direct magical forces. The heart in the middle changes color based on the magic surrounding it/running through it, for peter it is black, but for Ms. Garner it was red/pink. Peters crown is made of the same material, but is not quite as strong. Peter mainly focuses his magic outwards using his palms and the soles of his feet, thus why they are uncovered. Villain peter looks a lot less alive than current peter partially because of being magically exhausted, but mostly just because he is in very bad physical health, having dipped himself in a vat of poison and proceeding to get 0 medical help, and then also not eating or bathing and living on shadow magic and depression. The boots previously used for villain-ing are now his work boots :)

Genny

Power(s): super strength

Power triggers: N/A

Relationships: nut (son), mellisa (friend), gabby (ally), Ms. Garner (friend?), hash (ally), peter (ally), damian (enemy)

Backstory: genny was a single mother and teacher living a normal life when she was caught in a catastrophic event as the city’s super villain the week was wreaking havoc in the middle of town. When a car came flying at her child, she had no choice but to rush forward and try to get him out of the way. Usually this would have ended in disaster, but thanks to a mix mothers hysterical strength and the strong magic energy radiating out of one of the destroyed buildings (it was U.L.O.B.D., because its always fucking damian isnt it) she was suddenly imbued with the strength to block the car and escape. Soon she would realize that this effect wouldn’t go away, and thus she decided to try and use this ability to help protect the city from all the dangers which threaten its safety.

Design notes: the knife on her leg is attached with a very strong magnet, it is difficult for others to remove but easy for her to thanks to her strength. Her body armor is all much stronger than the other three’s, as having armour that is lightweight isn’t a priority for her in the same way it is for the others, due to her strength. Genny doesnt actually have that much more muscle mass than a normal reasonably fit person, as her super strength is not connected to this. She wears contact lenses in her daily life, but after the event in which she got her super powers her eyes are entirely white (nut’s eyes are also lightened, but not to the same extent as genny’s, you can actually see them from more than 2 inches away.)

Hash

Power(s): control over earth/rocks

Power triggers: fear, excitement, focus

Relationships: Peter (parent/mentor), genny (ally), gabby (friend), prince (annoyance),

Backstory: Hash has had the ability to move the earth since she was born, but her parents always shunned her for it, saying it was destructive and evil, and so was she. She was forced to repress her powers and was often neglected (and occasionally hurt) by her parents, as well as frequently being forced to socially isolate herself from peers and teachers due to her being “too dangerous.” She tried to run away from home, feeling as though she was a danger to her parents, but when she was caught she freaked and accidentally used her powers towards her parents out of fear. Her parents called the police, making her more afraid and causing her to become more destructive. After a couple days of chaos and no one being able to defeat her, she would eventually be talked down by [whatever tf peters superhero name is], a superhero in the city who had previously been a villain but was changed through kindness and love and what not. It took a while after that to convince her that she wasn’t some horrible monster, and to get her a way from her previous household for good, but now shes a lot happier and has moved in with peter. She’s also started practicing using her powers, although its pretty hard for her given she spent all the time that her powers were developing not using them, and thus doesn’t know how to control them at their new level. She likes to tag along and try to help out on superhero missions, but honestly her main focus right now is trying to make friends and become accustomed to normal daily living, which is difficult when you’re constantly afraid of everything and have no idea how to talk to people.

Design notes: her small cape/cloak is an old one of peter’s. She hand painted on the rock pattern and the green inside, and its not perfect but she likes it. Just like normal hash, she cut the sleeves off of all her shirts, even the ones that weren’t damaged, back when she was at her old household. After moving in with peter though, shes started wearing more long sleeved shirts :) . Hash may lift rocks from the ground and stick them to her body as impromptu armour when shes distressed, although she usually doesn’t purposefully do this as its not actually very good armour, its just annoying.

Gabby

Power(s): fire manipulation, lizard stuff

Power triggers: lizard: N/A Fire: focus, anger

Relationships: peter (ally), hash (friend/ex-rival), Dario (nemesis/enemy/rival), Akira (friend/ex-rival), genny (ally), Ms. Garner (mom/mentor), Mrs. Harvey (ally/girlscout troup leader), the other Mrs. Harvey (Girl Scout troup leader/ally)

Backstory: ever since she could walk gabby was convinced she had the ability to control fire, But none of the other kids at her orphanage ever believed her, and neither did anyone at her school. One day though these powers were put to the test, when the orphanage took fire and she rushed in to help the local super hero evacuate the other kids while the fire fighters were still on their way. It was at that moment she decided that she could be a superhero too, and that the poor superhero present at the time, flower girl, would be her mentor. She followed her everywhere being the annoying curious child she was, but all flower girl wanted was her to stay out of danger and go home to her parents (which she would eventually realize gabby didn’t have.) But when gabby proved her worth and saved flower girls life, flower girl finally caved and decided to start training her, as long as she promised to try to be more cautious, and to stop skipping school to follow on dangerous missions. From then on they were an amazing super duo! Together they fought villains and used the power of kindness and pretty flowers to brighten peoples day :) and after a while ms. Garner would even end up adopting gabby, yay!

Eventually gabby’s lizard features started growing in, which was pretty scary. But her mom showed her that they weren’t all that bad, and gabby realized she could use them to help out on super hero missions! Peter, who was flower girls nemesis, would move in with her and her momma temporarily while he was getting better, as he was very sick while he was a super villain. She decided to adopt him as her new second parent, which he never agreed to, but I mean hes never denied it so its basically true. Several villains and other hero’s have also been added (and removed) from gabby’s growing list of parents. After her mom got hurt really badly in the hash incident, she decided to retire from being a superhero, deciding that she needed to put more focus on her safety so she could take care of gabby. Gabby has continued fighting crime, now taking up a more independent role as a superhero because she’s a preteen and thinks shes mature, but she usually works alongside other superhero’s in teams or as partners, as her mom requires she have adequate supervision (bcus shes LAME.) She still gets somewhat serious treatment from other superhero’s given that she technically does have more years of experience in the field than like half the cities heroes and she has had a major role in taking down multiple big villains, but she’s still a child and is generally not to be trusted on her own, as she is minority stupid and majorly reckless.

I’m sorry that was so long,,,,,, it could’ve easily been 1 paragraph but i have failed 😔

Design notes: gabby isnt wearing shoes under the legwarmers in hercivilian design, she likes the good grip her feet give her. Sidekick gabby’s stick can make fire just like her current one can, but it does not have the other functionalities. Her stick is not just for magic stuff, she also wacks people with it, and knocks them off their feet and stuff, its quite sturdy. The thick line on her face is just face paint for funsies and to make her a little bit less recognizable (only barely tho.)

I used to like Stephanie Brown very much but honestly lately her fandom ruined the character for me. They want EVERYTHING to be about her, even when we are talking about a mlm ship they are like "pls don't erase Steph" and I am like??? And literally saying character flaws are not hating on a character, or most people just hating on her because seriously she is so different in comics and fandom, they need to chill the fuck out and not say everyone is misogynistic just because they don't like her

+ and everytime someone says "Cissie and Steph are best friends" just because the new cover of YJ... y'all forgetting Bart and Cassie were Cissie's best friends!!! Sorry I just hate when people force her into everything and then blame timkon fans for being misogynistic just because people don't want her to be on the team because she has no good relationships with the team, that's not misogyny everyone!!! I hate this fandom sometimes

I just want to ask why TimSteph stans are hating on Tim but still shipping him with their fav character? Literally every single TimSteph stan on their tag are posting anti Tim Drake posts, and talking shit about him, but when someone says something bad about Stephanie they are getting mad and acting like everyone is hating women because of other ships??? Can someone pls explain this to me I really want to know the reason

That’s the part of the fandom that I see sometimes and really brings my mood down a lot of the time, because they’re so caught up in their own world sometimes that it drives me nuts.

Before I disliked Damian because his writing is just freaking awful, I began to not like him just from the connotation of his fandom being so obsessed trying to make him something he’s not based off of just a few moments that aren’t even in-character.

With the toxic part of Steph’s fanbase they’re just so obsessed with trying to make her seem like more of this astonishing character. Not to even say she’s a bad character. I still think she’s a good character, but it’s just the limit the obsessive part of her fandom goes to, just to convince people she’s so great. Sometimes they just exaggerate stuff or just lie so much because they seem to be under the belief that if she’s not incredible as a person that she’s unlikable, but then, why do they like her.

I think that part of her fandom comes from people projecting on her so much that they begin to become defensive of everything she does to the point it feels obsessive.

“OH SHE HAS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL RELATIONSHIP WITH BRUCE BECAUSE *says a very simple thing that they say in way too many words that give the complete wrong connotation of the actual events to make Stephanie seem more impressive*”

“SHE HAS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL RELATIONSHIP WITH DAMIAN THAT NEEDS TO BE ADMIRED MORE BECAUSE completely ignores how Damian was a total pervert and a body shamer to ridicule her. Which isn’t a relationship to admire at all. Along with people constantly taking out of context some of the things she did with him, and how it was another case of a writer ignoring Damian’s problem to woobify him. Which makes the issue poorly written. But we must exaggerate it to make Steph seem like a saint apparently.”

This type of fandom stuff bugs me no matter the character.

I remember not that long ago I kept seeing posts that were exaggerating Tim so much, and it bugged the ever-living crap out of me.

Because sorry, but, I don’t care what Red Robin says. Tim could not beat up all those assassins.

I don’t even honestly believe Tim’s a master tactitian. He’s just smart and clever, he isn’t this war general figure.

I don’t care that a comic says that Tim could trick Bruce with a fake Uncle.

Given the way he was built up as a character, that stuff just doesn’t work. That wasn’t anything that was actually developed for his character. It was something they tacked on in what I assume was attempts to make Tim “cool”, because DC doesn’t like relatable characters.

Which is a bit rich because Sideways, a character written by Didio himself, just feels like a knock-off Ultimate Spider-Man with the tone and character-style.

So I don’t want to give the impression that I think everyone in the Stephanie Brown fandom is an obsessive loon, or toxic as could be, because I don’t believe that to be the case. The toxic part of her fandom is just something that has arisen. Something that happens in all fandoms at one point or another. Now is just Stephanie’s go at it I guess. Even if it seems to be from just a few over vocal people, that people gave too much attention because I guess they liked having their fav be overly praised.

The people that say you’re misogynistic if you don’t ship TimSteph are just stupid honestly. At least about that.

If you ship TimKon, it makes no sense to include Steph in posts about it. Unless it’s like, just mentioning how Tim used to date her. Which I don’t feel is a big enough reason to act like people are misogynistic, because, even if say I shipped Tim with another girl. Id be awkward to talk about Steph. We don’t need to shove Steph into everything.

I don’t say the word stupid like I think they’re stupid at everything.

I call myself stupid when it comes to a lot of stuff for an example, but the argument that you’re misogynistic if you think of Tim as gay is stupid, because there’s enough of Tim for so long were it’s easy to interrupt him as gay, and it’s not misogynistic.

You don’t hate women if you’re gay, or anything like that.

That’s homophobic.

If you still think Tim is straight, congrats, I’m not upset. I’m not upset people ship TimSteph. One of my best friends ships TimSteph and she’s writing a wonderful fic.

I’m not even against TimSteph at all.

Just that stupid part of that fandom.

Like Stephanie Brown has flaws right? She flirted with Tim when she knew he had a girlfriend, even kissing him. Reckless as could be. Took things the wrong way. Made Tim straight up uncomfortable with her flirting sometimes. Had a problem with listening even when it was beneficial to her safety. She also had a trust problem when her and Tim’s relationship got into it.

Some of you are probably thinking “Well Tim has flaws too. She had her reasons.”

And you know what?

I agree.

Because that’s how freaking characters work.

Tim’s sheltered childhood made him insensitive to certain situations. He was immature to the point of detriment to his relationship with Ariana in some situations. Too naive to understand some things. Even too bossy because he’s a cruddy leader and didn’t know how to communicate enough for that job.

He’s not a perfect human.

Characters can have flaws, and it’s okay, because that’s how we get interesting stories and dynamics between stuff. Just because Tim has flaws, doesn’t mean he’s not a good person. He’s kind, caring, heroic, despite his immaturity. Just because Tim couldn’t handle the topic of cheating and became immature doesn’t mean he didn’t step up to the plate and try to help Ariana when she was close to being sexually assaulted and she was a bit mentally unstable (that might be strong wordage, but I use those words for myself when a situation hits. So it’s not me talking down about her situation) for a bit.

When you were raised in a mad house, it’s understandable she’d grow up to be reckless. She grew up so independent at a young age, because her parents certainly weren’t taking care of her. It’s also understandable that she has trust issues, because if you’re dating someone with a second life, you would worry that they’re cheating on you.

This is just how characters work

So these posts that wanna pretend she doesn’t have flaws, bugs me, because they want to deny her character sometimes.

Then acting like she’d just be best friends with everyone is freaking delusional. It’s the kind of stuff where it’s done in the vein of “peppy fangirl”, but it just becomes a bit obsessive. I think that’s stuff were my theory on some of those types of fans projecting on her for their own good come in.

I can get, being like “I wonder if these characters would get along”, but getting so hyper and exaggatory is just wack.

I think Tim and Jon would get along and could be good friends now that Jon’s older, but if they were in a comic together I’m not gonna get myself worked up and pretend things are were they clearly aren’t.

Even in the case of Cissie and Steph, I actually feel like they would be pretty good friends together. I can easily see that. But just cuz they’re on a cover together doesn’t mean they’re best friends

And if somehow Steph brought Cissie out to be Arrowette, that’d just be stupid. I don’t know how Steph would even know who Cissie is, because I don’t know if she even knows Arrowettes name is Cissie, let alone in this timeline. Plus Cissie last seen wasn’t a hero. So that’d just be some super cheap and forced writing.

But given the write circumstances, that actually work and make sense, I wouldn’t be against that. If they became friends, I’d be totally cool with it.

It’s that weird obsessive “THEY’RE BEST FRIENDS OH MY GOSH” that’s just a bit unnerving. Like settle down.

Write some fan fics, I really don’t care, but it gives me the vibes of those boyband fandoms that wanna act like their fav is dating some hot chick cuz he looked at her.

It’s less worse than that, cuz those are real people, but it’s that obsessive vibe that I get from it.

I don’t like it.

As for TimSteph shippers that hate Tim. I think it’s because it’s for a similar reason some people make all those posts overexaggerating or lying about so much stuff about Steph.

It’s to get her attention.

They know that Steph’s almost always only gonna show up because writers attach her with Tim almost exclusively, and that may be the only way she’ll show up. So I think they’re doing that, to get some kind of attention so Steph will show up at least with Tim, cuz something is better than nothing.

Although personally, I root for Steph finally hanging out with other characters, because seeing her relegated to just “Tim’s girlfriend” is very annoying, cuz even in the 90s she was more than that. She wasn’t created just to date Tim. She was created to be her own dang character.

Detective Comics 1000 6-11

Detective 1000 was comprised of eleven short stories written by some of the biggest names in comics. All of the stories were really good (as expected) and 1000 was definitely worth the read. Below is my 6-11 ranking.

11. Heretic

Writer: Christopher Priest

This story takes place years ago when Bruce was training in Lhasa. Bruce is fighting off several thugs who are trying to rob him for his money. He is eventually taken down. 3 kids find Bruce laid out in some trash and takes his wallet.

We move back to the present time in Gotham. A young man is dead in an alley. Commissioner Gordan called Bruce Wayne to the scene because an old "Thomas and Martha Wayne Foundation" card is found in the victim’s possession. Batman shows up and questions Jim about the card before effectively disappearing while Jim is still talking.

Back in the batcave, we learned that the Batman was actually Dick covering for Bruce. Based on the evidence, Dick believes Ra’s Al Ghul is behind the murder. Bruce disagrees however he confronts Ra’s about it anyway. Ra’s denies wrongdoing and places the blame directly on Bruce.

“I am not responsible for the boy’s death….you are. An infection you fostered as a youth, all those years ago…in Tibet.”-Ra’s Al Ghul.

Batman learns from Ra’s that Tan’s killer was his sister.

“Bruce Wayne’s capitalist values corrupted Tan…made him a subversive…a betrayer of the faith.”

Batman declares that he will carry on Tan’s mission and he is there for anyone desiring to leave the league. She responds, very well Heretic, so will we.

10. The Last Crime in Gotham

Writer: Geoff Johns

First off let me say that it was completely nuts seeing Damian dressed up like Robin as a grown man. He still had the same design from when he was 10. I just had to get that off my chest. On to the story.

This story begins with a future Batman and his family (Catwoman, Robin and Echo (Helena)) investigating a murder. 12 people were killed at a birthday party. The family starts discussing who the killer could be considering the majority of Batman’s rogues are dead and crime has been extremely low in Gotham City.

Batman surmises that someone wanted to re-create all of Gotham’s greatest crimes in one night. The killer was………the son of Joker……..who is also among the 12 dead.

“The same chemicals that created my father took his life. Those same chemicals are taking mine, too. I am sick, as he was. I am grateful for that, because without family……what are we?”-The son of Joker

With the demise of the son of Joker, the streets of Gotham are safe. Batman tells Jim that they’ve done enough and to go spend some time with Barbara, Jason and the kids. He proclaims it’s family time as he unplugs the batsignal.

The end of this story offers a sad twist. It’s Bruce’s birthday and he’s actually in the batcave with Alfred wishing for a crime free Gotham and a family to spend his time with.

09. The Batman’s Design

Writer: Warren Ellis

Batman was absolutely brutal in this story. The story began with a high speed chase. Some goons tried to take a hospital hostage and thought they were escaping The Batman. Little did they know they were walking into a trap.

Batman caused the goons to crash their car outside of a warehouse. The entire warehouse was rigged like it was a game of Battleship. Once inside, Batman took them all down one-by-one, dishing out a considerable amount of pain in the process.

In the end, the ring leader surrendered after Batman had strategically taken out his entire crew.

08. Return To Crime Alley

Writer: Denny O’Neil

This story focuses on Leslie Thompkins and her opinion of Bruce Wayne becoming Batman. It’s fair to say that she is not thrilled.

“…You could have lessened the world’s misery. Instead, you let the tragedy consume you. You chose the guise of a monster and my fear is that you are becoming what you pretend to be. You tell yourself you’re serving justice, but what you’re really serving is cruelty. What happened to your parents does not excuse that” -Leslie Thompkins

No one can lay into Bruce quite like Leslie.

07. Medieval

Writer: Peter J Tomasi

Like “Manufactured for Use” and “The Legend of Knute Brody”, this story features a who’s who of Batman’s villains (including the introduction of The Arkham Knight). The Arkham Knight weaves an elaborate tale of how Batman abuses his power.

“The Batman is a creature of the night who preys on the weak…..and the broken. The broken who lash out, and beg for help the only way they know how…” -The Arkham Knight

In The Arkham Knight’s opinion, Batman has darkened Gotham City. The only thing Batman respects is control and adhering to his rules. The Batman doesn’t offer hope, only hoplessness. Batman is really a BADman and the people of Gotham deserve better. They deserve someone fair and true. And they will bear witness to the Arkham Knight finally delivering justice to Batman.

06. Manufactured for Use

Writer: Kevin Smith

This story features a who’s who of Batman’s villains and begins with Batman fighting Joker in the center ring of a circus. During the fight, Joker sprays Batman in the chest with acid.

The scene switches to Matches Malone entering a store after hours. The shop keep was waiting for him. The owner takes Malone to the Gotham Gift Shop, a store housing all of the goods the bad guys leave behind in Gotham. The majority of the clientele includes wealthy soccer moms and day trader dads.

“You were looking for Gotham guns, right? Oh, I got Gotham guns. Some of the most famous guns in the history of Gotham City crime” -Shady shop keep

Malone is only interested in the gun from the Wayne murders. The shop keep is asking $1,000 for the gun but Malone pays $1,500.

When Bruce returns to the Batcave with the gun, Alfred expresses his worry.

“I grew up broken and sad after this hunk of metal took everything from me. And who knows how many other lives it’s ruined? Or ended. But after tonight…….It’s never going to hurt anyone again." -Bruce Wayne

With that, Bruce melts down the gun that killed his parents and makes it into something useful, a chest plate for his uniform. How fitting.

Hi! Can I request a story where Damian accidentally, completely accidentally, grabs Raven' s butt (maybe the after squeeze wasn't an accident, but the initial grab definitely is) and Raven thinks nothing of it, but Damian is obsessed, hot and bothered and his touches are starting to linger a bit. People are starting to think that they are or will become a couple. Then Jason comes back and he catch wind and see what's going on and isn't too happy with Damian? Thank you in advance!

I wasn’t really sure how to do this one, but I hope this works and I hope you enjoy. =)

Butt-Butt-Butt…

Raven gasped as she was slammedinto by Damian.

“Damian! Get off!” she ordered ashe scrambled up, she rolled to her feet and was throwing up a shield in defenseagainst Blue Beetle’s attack at their spar as she was slammed back into Damianagain.

“Ow,” she muttered.

“What is this spar?” he asked her.

“I think his suit’s going nuts,” shesaid and her eyes glowed white as she let her empathy reach out and wrap aroundJaime and his bug as she radiated her calm when Starfire finally flew into thespar, Jaime gasped as he collapsed, gasping for air and Raven slumped over herknees breathing. That was unexpected to say the least, Azar she was not readyto use her empathy that way as she stood up when a set of hands had her armsand she leaned in on her friend.

“Hey Raven, you okay?” he asked ashe hoisted her up, Raven found herself up in a set of arms as she rested herhead on his shoulder.

“Fine… just tired, that took a lotout of me,” she breathed as her eyes fluttered shut and she just rested againstDamian. She found herself being carried to the infirmary then.

It was some time later when shewoke Jason was at her bedside reading.

“Where’s Damian?” Raven askedhoarsely, Jason’s aquamarine eyes flicked up to hers’ and she felt her heartskip a beat (thankfully she wasn’t hooked up to any machines; she was going to havea serious talk with her emotions when this was settled).

“He seemed to be having a freak outand left, I don’t know where he went,” Jason shrugged.

“Ah,” she nodded.

“Need something sunshine?” he askedher.

“No, just, that blast was prettyhard, thought he’d stay to be checked out,” Raven shrugged.

“Never know with the demon brat,” Jasonshrugged and looked back at his book, Raven rolled her eyes but would admitthat Jason was right. Damian was good at hiding pain. Almost as good as Jason,Raven figured it was a Bat thing because even Dick could hide his pain. Wincingin discomfort she sighed, her friend was up then.

“Rae?” he sounded worried.

“I think I might have cracked ribs,”she admitted.

“No shit, they were broken when youarrived here,” Jason snapped as he tucked her hair behind her ear.

“Oh,” she muttered.

“You break ribs with a direct blastfrom blue bug and you only have ‘oh’ to say,” he shook his head.

“Actually I think they broke whenDamian landed on me, he and you weigh a ton!” she defended.

“He landed on you!?” Jason gaped ather.

“Yeah, he took the hit, but helanded on me,” Raven winced a bit more as she moved to sit up.

“I see, well, that might explainwhy he was so whacky earlier,” Jason shrugged. She just grimaced.

Damian had panicked when he had landedon Raven, he’d admit that. for a seventeen year old girl she’d never really grownfor as long as he had known her, she was small. And his sixteen year old selfwas way bigger and heavier than her. However, that wasn’t what he was obsessingabout now, a month since the ‘incident’ and he was disturbed with himself withhow often he woke up dreaming about her.

See, when he had landed on Raven hemight have, accidently grabbed her ass, and it was a damn accident! Kay, thelingering might not have been, and all the accidently brush passes he’d made onher, or when they were sparring and he’d let her pin him. Fuck he had aproblem!

But it couldn’t be helped! She wasso small, and soft, and warm… Damn it!

He’d be eating corndogs with herand he’d have to excuse himself to the bathroom to relieve himself of hisobvious growing problem, and it was becoming a fucking problem.

Last night he’d bolted out of avery hot, wet dream where he’d had her tied up and on her hands and knees andhe could only think about her ass!

She was his teammate! She was Jason’sbest friend, and his best friend, he was not fucking it up. Still… that ass!

Damian slid around her now,internally groaning at the feel of her slight form in the tight Disneylandrollercoaster line. Raven suddenly grabbed his arm and he just about leapt outof his skin to deny feeling her up.

“Look Damian! It’s Belle!” shesmiled and fuck she was pretty.

“Yeah, what’s the big deal?” hehuffed not getting her excitement.

“Have you never seen the Disneymovies?” she demanded, and he looked down at his little friend as she glared upat him with folded arms.

“Should I have?” he asked.

“That’s it! Tonight, you, me, mybed and Disney movies!” she stated. Damian felt everything in him comingroaring in as he wanted to kiss her then, drag her off into some secluded areaand get rid of this annoying desire he had to be in her. However, he justswallowed tightly and tried not to think about her insinuation as she turnedinto a conversation with Jaime, Garfield and Donna as the line moved forward.

Why!? Why him!? And why did it haveto be her!? HER OF ALL PEOPLE! It couldn’t be the amazon he dreamed aboutdevouring.

He just wondered if Splash Mountainwas really that important of a ride that he couldn’t skip it and relieve himselfof a coming problem.

“Oh look! We’re next!” Raven smiledas she did her little bounce to see, he groaned; it couldn’t be that bad…

Damian realized he was so fuckingwrong about how bad it could be when he was walking off the ride, drenched, andRaven walked by him in her wet, white t-shirt and he could see the red bikinitop! He excused himself as quickly as possible then.

Jason wasn’t possessive, no, not byany means, and especially not with Raven. Nope. However, since she had found anddragged his ass out of the Pit before Talia could do whatever the fuck Taliahad been planning to do with him three years ago, he had come to love thelittle bird.

Not just like, not just attraction,and it sure as hell was not a platonic kind of love, he loved her. Raven was his everything and had been since she wasfifteen, and she scared the fucking shit out of him. Goddamn she was soinnocent, and while not naïve, she was trusting of those she let get close toher. Take him and her, oh there was mutual sexual attraction there, and sheinvited him to her room frequently at night, she would walk around in thosefucking bikinis, he’s seen her in nothing but a damn towel once! Point was, shedid all that teasing on him, and he did it just as much to her, and they bothfucking knew it. She’d even asked him when he’d kiss her on one of theirfrequent movie nights. Well… that kiss lead to a heated making out session.

Then he’d left before they didsomething stupid, Bruce had called and Jason had left on a mission as RedRobin. But he had said goodbye to Raven and promised they’d sort it out when hegot back, that was about two weeks after her infirmary stint. Now he was back,his exhaustion had him wanting to see his best friend and sleeping for a month.And the first thing he sees after being gone was his little dipshit brotherfeeling Raven up; and Raven being Raven, who was both innocent and only hadeyes for him, was missing it.

Walking up behind Raven, who wasoblivious to Damian’s shoulder touching her he leaned over her ear.

“Miss me sunshine?” he asked.

“Jason!” she spun around and hefound himself with an armful of Raven and Damian glaring daggers at him.

“Glad to see you too, princess,” Jasonset her down and slung an arm around her shoulders casually.

“Damian we’ll finish the talktomorrow,” Raven said as she walked with him, grabbing his bag as they walked.

“What was that about?” Jason askedcasually.

“I don’t know, I think he’s justlonely, we’ve been hanging out a lot,” Raven answered him as she wrapped herarm around his back. “So Red, how are you?” she asked.

“Well, I’m about to beat the shitout of my little brother for eye sexing my girl.” Jason answered.

“What!? He was not!” she snapped.

“Was too,” he countered.

“And since when was I your girl?”she demanded.

“Since about five minutes ago, I decidedthat I want to try out this dating thing with you while I was away,” heinformed her.

“Really?” she blinked at him.

“Yeah, surprised me too, but I’mforewarning you I’m going to suck at this, and I’m a very jealous bastard,” hewarned her.

“Then it’s a good think I happen tolike you as well, and want to try dating with you too, but I’m a possessivedemon,” she warned.

“Good to know,” he nodded.
