the original and the edit in question. this artwork really makes me crave a mid to late 19th century historical au where Chuuya is a swordsman struggling with changes to his job due to the meiji restoration and with Dazai as a detective/private investigator who hires Chuuya as his bodyguard when a seemingly harmless investigation turns dangerous. they kind of hate each other (as per usual) but Chuuya needs the job and Dazai, while he proclaims to dislike chuuya, is also very smitten with chuuya’s fighting style and temper (as per usual).

I forgot to add, Billy doesn’t wear his eye as much (as he should really) because he hates the way it looks. I think he’d hate the way it feels because it never fits right. Anyone remember my separated Donnie au? Code name: Violet skies? Well I'm remaking it! Rewriting it, even !!

Here's Foot Recruit/aka Donnie!

Draxum, quite begrudgingly, ends up raising the four turtles with Splinter: whom saved him when a part of the lab's roof collapsed, while he was holding onto two of the turtles. Splinter brought the both of them to the sewers, and it all happened from there.

The turtles grew up not too different, safe for extra actual training and knowledge of both the hidden city and things mystic; until Leo and Donnie turned 14. Donnie went out one day with Raph, and didn't come back.

Two years after his disappearance, when the series events begin, they find him in the Foot Clan. Now called just Foot Recruit, with no memory of them — and a good 6 years worth of memories of living with the foot clan.

the second funniest argument against the (potential) tiktok ban I saw has to be "it helps people stay informed! so many people get their news from there!"

yeah. that's uh. bad. terrible even. don't get your news or political commentary from social media, especially not if it's algorithm driven. the fact that for many people tiktok is their primary news source is terrifying and proof that a ban can't come soon enough.

(the funniest thing was of course the chinese government weeping crocodile tears about "censorship" and "freedom of speech". talk about throwing stones while sitting in a glass house. incredible.)
