It is frankly horrifying to think about how all people who get periods were essentially just born with the fate of developing a painful, messy, potentially debilitating chronic illness during puberty and then they just have to quietly suffer through it for the majority of their lifetime.
I can very easily understand why it got assigned as a curse sent from god

periods should totally be normalised and not taboo but also PERIODS SHOULD NOT BE NORMALISED 🙁 i'll be looking suicidal and literally exhausted and angry at everyone; someone will ask me what's wrong and i'll say "oh it's fine, i'm just on my period" and they'll go "oh alright." NO. NOT ALRIGHT. I FEEL LIKE REMOVING MYSELF FROM EXISTANCE AND ALSO LYING DOWN AND WEEPING FOREVER. AND THE WORST THING IS THIS HAPPENS EVERY MONTH. SOMEONE SAVE ME.

au sans x reader - period comfort
-classic sans ok so he knows what a period is, the basics at least. he doesn't wanna see any of the blood it makes him a little queezy, but like if you need something like bloody sheets put in the wash ofc he'll do that. now if you need some comfort? hell yeah comfort is him middle name. he will happily rot on the couch with you and watch show reruns. more blankets and the heating pad plus snacks? count him in! more cozy the better. -horror sans ok bb is trying his best ok. you're hurt in a way that he can't fix or do anything about and it's kinda upsetting to him. he is gonna be pretty clingy but there's also just gonna be a lot of hovering in general cause you're already hurting and he's worried. please let him cuddle you. he will bring you lots of snacks, and blankets and there will probably be a awkward amount of sniffing you and checking over you. also it's best if you keep track of what time you took meds cause he will forget and then give you to much or to little. -uf sans this boy does Not know what's going on lol. are you dieing? are you hurt? is this cancer?? he is web m.d.-ing your symptoms rn. you're gonna have to give him periods: 101, sorry. once you explain he's kinda weirded out by it but also like shrug. he'll be like you just do this?? every month?? ok, i guess.. and he tends to run warm and he'd be pretty ok being used as a heating pad, he'll never say no to cuddles with his sweetheart. but watch out for your snacks cause he IS a gremlin and will steal them. these are just some rambly thoughts, i'll add more later maybe :3

joke self aware au idea (not meant as a request): Anything thats been excluded from pokemon games to keep it kid-friendly legitimately does not exist in that world. You get home a bit drunk one day and Ingo/Volo/whoever is furious because they assume you've been poisoned. They watch through the screen in horror as you get up one morning and complain because there's blood all over your sheets and your stomach hurts. But you also get to show them that sleeping together means something more here...
That would be pretty interesting!
Though I’m pretty sure in the Japanese version of Red and Blue, the old guy that blocks your way in the first town after Pallet town is drunk?? Though in the english version i think he’s just grumpy about not having coffee or something, so being drunk IS canon, technically. But all those other things would be interesting! Certain illnesses not existing in their world since a lot of people just get sick with colds and what not. And getting to teach them about how good the body can feel in your world?? Interesting. Though it feels kinda,,, eh. Since there are kids and parents, they probably have smuttier stuff that happens in the pokemon world. Other stuff though would be pretty interesting. What do you MEAN your kids don’t go on adventures across the nation with their pets when they are 10 years old??? What do you MEAN THAT SOUNDS HORRIFYING IN YOUR WORLD????

Don't imagine Error, Boss or/and Axe dealing with an s/o who has debilitating cycle/endo pain and all the cute things that come with!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Please note that my Don't Imagines are largely still closed, but she gets Partner Privileges<3)
Hard to write as "Don't imagine" so it's gonna be the usual Headcanon style!
Error doesn't.... know what to do, really. Why is his human doubled over in pain? Why are you crying and unable to move? This is usually something humans go to the hospital for, right? He knows about cycles and whatnot, but he doesn't know until it's explained to him that it can come with extreme amounts of pain like this. He does his best to help-- you don't have to move or get up except to change sanitary stuff, which... if he has to, he'll carry you to go do that and then... wait until you're done to carry you back. He'll gladly get painkillers and a hot pad and whatever else you need. He tries to play it off like he's cool and only mildly inconvenienced, but you can catch the sidelong, deeply concerned looks he gives you when he thinks you don't notice them.
Boss has a similar "whatever you need I'll get it" sort of deal, but he does know what's going on because... he reads. Humans fascinated him so much when he came up to the surface, he spent a good six months reading medical texts before he discovered a love of shredding paper-thin defenses in a courtroom. He will gladly sit with you and a hot pad, offer gentle lower back massages, nuzzles, makes sure you have painkillers, and whatever else you need to feel comfortable. He also gleefully cooks for you, and picks easy-to-eat, gentle meals that he hopes won't make the problem worse. He also, notably, unflinchingly goes to get whatever supplies you need, too. He will proudly waltz out of a store with a box of tampons under his arm. Axe is exceedingly gentle with you, landing somewhere in the middle of Boss' "Everything you need at the drop of a hat, and comfort" and Error's "I don't know what I'm doing but I'm doing my best." He does know what's going on and why, but he isn't sure how to help beyond being an errand boy and helping you where you need it. He also offers little massages, and is almost always in contact with you unless he needs to get up to make food, or when you have to go change your sanitary products. Shockingly, the blood doesn't bother him in the slightest-- it isn't fresh, arterial blood and smells a little different. Plus, it's not in his line of sight. He's even okay to handle any stained sheets or clothing-- he is brilliant at getting blood out of things. He's a little reluctant to sleep around you, though-- he's afraid that the combination of your noises of distress and the scent of blood will wake him up in a state no one wants him to be in... ...He winds up falling asleep on you, so he doesn't really get a choice in the matter. He wakes up fine, and between his head on your abdomen and the hot pad, the warm pressure probably helps a lot.

Reminder for kiddos with endometriosis (like me), you are loved and cared for. No matter how much pain, you deserve treatment. To the trans kiddos, you're strong fighters and Ik the added issues and pain can make "shark week" feel unreal. Remember to take care of yourselves when your body is telling you its hurting. Even if your head doesnt feel hurt, sometimes our bodies need rest and thats ok! Drink lots of water and I hope you all have a great day !!

I am confident that periods exist solely to insert more suffering into one's life routinely. these are far milder than the ones I used to have and still just fucking awful. this is closer to the "average period" than what I had before and you know what? it's still bad! 0/10! fuck this shit! it DOES make me see why Christians believe womanhood is inherently cursed, not cuz it's the "lesser sex", but because having a period is the distilled essence of feeling like there is a God who hates you.

The fact that the first stages of Seth's transformation were basically just what happens to people on their period:
•Acne/Bad skin
•Addicted to sugar
•Mega horny
•Will break your arm with no remorse
•EXTREME internal pain
•Hates everything
•Fingernails start falling off

Maybe a little TMI but I require sharing my funny.
So my periods are awful, like I’m writhing and wriggling in pain, sobbing, I will black out, kinda bad.
And yes, I do love comfort fics or headcanons about this kinda thing, I always feel like they miss a key opportunity here.
Where are the twins that are screaming and crying and nearly calling the hospital cause you blackout?
Or them having a heart attack cause you’re laying on the bathroom floor with a towel over you? (Listen it’s warmth on my back, and the coolness of the floor helps tummy pains and hot flashes.)
Cause I refuse to believe that Emmet doesn’t see you crying and squirming and instantly panicking, and crying with you.
Or that Ingo doesn’t scream when you black out or are on the floor.
Idk I always thought panicked was funny in a ‘I do this bullshit for a whole week lmao.’
Of course they are comforting you and pampering you with everything they can get their hands on. But they are a little frazzled from their adrenaline kicking in.
I’m a firm believer that both would love to pamper you, especially when this makes you as miserable as it does.
It reminds me how bad mine used to be (they are still painful, but not as much so). I remember I threw up a few times, though I never fully blacked out. I do have a high pain tolerance though, so I think that was my saving grace until I took some birth control to help tone the symptoms back a bit. That being said, even though they aren’t completely ignorant about these things, they probably freak out seeing it effect their significant other this badly. Both are mother hens when they see just how bad you have it. Crying in pain? Both are freaking out now. Who hurt you. What’s wrong?? Are you injured!? You black out? You wake up in bed to both crying and fretting over you. It takes a hot minute to explain, no you are not dying. Yes this is normal. Yes, this happens a week every month. Once they realize though this is your normal, both handle it a little bit better. Both even schedule when it will most likely arrive, and be prepared to take care of you as best they can. Favorite foods? Check. Heating pads/ice packs? Check. Medicine? Check. Expect both to love and pamper you! Ingo still screams though if you black out while walking. Both definitely still panic at that.
