I just like their faces

these started as sketches of Dale & Ellen but ended up as experiments with the digital wash brush in krita.

the way I had to look up their names bc in my head they're just "the assassins" XD Also why does top dale look like drake I couldn't make it stop looking like him

anyway I like how the bottom right came out but I wasn't saving my color combos so I had nooo idea how to replicate it ahhhhh. learned my lesson for ellen who has the same fore/background combos for her skin/eyes in both portraits. I liked this method, though I may tweak the settings a bit to see if I can mix my favorite parts of my sintix paint brush w the top/bottom color and texture of the digital wash... though I'm thinking that sounds like having my cake and eating it too lol

Weary legs sporting signature combat boots dangled off the bridge ever so nonchalantly as the shadowhunter sat on the edge, leaning forward as he tried to catch a glimpse of his silhouette in the water. Blood from a fresh cut slowly bubbled up, then ran down the bridge of his nose and to the tip, the droplet soon falling down, though instead of colliding with water it simply disappeared through the thin veil of the portal that was barely visible, even to his trained eyes. He didn’t even have his glamour rune activated, not caring much of any mundanes seeing him in such a state. They were in New York City, they’d definitely seen stranger things happen than some beat up kid on a bridge in Central Park. Besides... they should’ve seen the other dude. Kosmo Reyes hadn’t stepped foot into the States for almost a year, and the on the first day that he did, he immediately got into a fight. It wasn’t even on Shadowhunter business, either. He simply did not vibe with the other. Anyway... after a quick wipe at his bloody nose, Kosmo pulled his stele out, twirling it in his fingers instinctively before holding it over his iratze rune, and then he paused. Perhaps the pulsing pain all over his face wasn’t so bad. Perhaps he should get a fucking grip. Perhaps he should jump through the portal.
