Okay, so I wanna go on for a bit here.
In the Dragon cry sketches, we actually saw Mashima draw a suit as Capricorn's SD which was actually perfect for his taste and clothing choice. AND his own personality. But Mashima also drew another SD, which was most probably a Draco constellation dress, not sure. And I'm most definitely sure he merged the two designs to come up with the current one.
Personally, as a dress I love the design of the current one but as a SD of a spirit like Capricorn, it is awful and doesn't make sense at all. Like I agree that the dresses are to reflect the personalities and choices of the spirits themselves. Capricorn choosing a outfit like that doesn't sit right with me.
Ofc Leo's would be a gorgeous gown, Aries' would be a cute and soft and fluffy dress, Taurus' would be a sexy one(tho I'd have loved if Lucy got a jacket with the bikini top), Saguttarius' would be a beautiful green shooter-type(I actually love how the anime added extra black leggings), Virgo's would be a maid costume, the Aquarius one being bikini makes sense, Cancer's is the most amazing with Lucy having twin blades to counter the enemies(and I'd have loved to see Cancer wield big scissors instead of the small ones). AND then the Gemini and Scorpio designs are my most fav ones (as SDs). A badass hairtyle like Scorpio and a red scorpion tail to top it off. The Gemini one actually goes with their magic type since it's actually a lot like real magic, how they copy people and transform. So the magician-ish dress is perfect!
But did you see the AxS design, I hate it even more than the AxG one. The design makes even less sense than the recent one. It looks like a nonsensical costume that seems like can do heavy lifting but actually can't. Lucy has literally no use of those robot-ish parts of the mix. It was used as a way of adding some unwanted fanservice. And with the recent mix, I have lost hope of getting proper outfits. At this point I don't want any, literally any SD to merge with Aquarius. It'll inevitably ruin the dress.
The most modest ones like Scorpio's and Gemini's unique outfits turned into a sturdy bikini and the other one a glittering bikini made me give up hope. I don't even look at outfits now, only consider her achievements. I've talked about it many times how ridiculous it seems for Lucy to suddenly loose her clothes in a battle. I'm tired of it now.
But I've seen many people say, "Lucy did nothing except get naked" or "Laxus did all the work" or "she's JUST fanservice and no might" and I do think they're the vocal Lucy haters. But in general, people complaining about the dress mix aren't them. And I share the same feelings.

Capricorn’s SD is really sad to see. I begrudgingly admit it’s kinda cool as it is, not going to lie, love the glasses and the braids and the sexy mature cut on the dress, it manages to set itself apart from Loke’s despite both being off-shoudler dresses, but it just... why, Mashima? Why? Capricorn would never approve of this! Where is the super serious butler that respected Layla? Layla (and Anna, now that I think about it) are some of the most modestly-dressed women in the show, so I definitely believe Capricorn would want Lucy to dress like them simply because he knows she’ll look good in it.
Yes! the base star dresses all look beautiful. I do think some of them could be better or more developed to the spirits (Cancer and Sagittarius are a bit strange because they don’t match the spirit appearances at all, but eh, that’s details), but as single designs, they are all wonderful for what they are, Capricorn aside. I love Aquarius’ the most because it’s a bikini, but it’s at least more functional and comfortable than panties and a bra. It’s a really good balance between fanservice and genuinely something I’d want to wear if I had the assets to pull it off. I love that some of them gave Lucy more combat abilities as well (Cancer, for example). I do kind of wish Loke’s was a bit more functional though, since his main thing is close combat. But it makes sense for him, so it’s fine. The concept of the dresses is just so fun. I could talk about them, both positively and negatively, forever.
Oh dear I agree. AxS is awful. There was way too much robot against the stupid swimsuit and it just looked bad. But I at least appreciated the creativity, you know? Honestly, I feel we could have found a balance with a thinner tail or shorter glove/boots, Mashima just didn’t try too hard since it only showed for a panel or two. It needs to be reworked so badly.
AxG was just a swimsuit. Just a swimsuit. They couldn’t even retain any of the magician/clown parts of Gemini, that seriously annoys me! And Aquarius’ contribution is even worse, does Mashima know that mermaid-cut dresses exist? MERMAID? Aquarius can be something other than a typical swimsuit, geez! And they can be ASYMMETRICAL and layered, too! It’s perfect for a Gemini fusion!
I think it’d have been great if the fusions weren’t literally mixing them together, but the product of “what would both spirits give Lucy?” Honestly, I think among the spirits, Aquarius and Scorpio are totally the type to give you crap about your fashion sense. Aquarius is a very girly girl, and Scorpio is a rockstar! Choosing what to give Lucy as a fusion star dress would be like, a funny way to actually give these two depth in their relationship. Like, their first time ever having a disagreement.
...I wish the spirits still got personality exploration... I’m sad now...
As for your final point-- you know what? You’re right. Haters gonna hate on that regard. Love to see Lucy finishing a battle on her own, and it’s sad that even after coming this far and going as far as using the spirits’ powers, her achievements are still credited to the damn guys around her. People who think that way are never going to change their minds, they’ve already decided what they think about it.

Here’s another random game shot from A Farming Town Tropical Vacation. Like the one from last week, this was also taken of vacationers right after they were made in Create-A-Sim. This is Zara Hamburg, Ari Kirby, and Mika Soreno who I used to replace Matthew Mango either at the same time, or right after the Harveston County sims had their stay on the island.
When I shared their profiles originally I said they were college friends on winter break, but originally, they were going to be sisters who had different dads. I can’t remember why I scrapped that idea, but I did.
I don’t know if they’ll be back for the festival, but I do know I will likely use Zara in my Audre save. I’m thinking I’ll age her to teen, and she’ll be a member of love interests family. Might have her work the bakery counter as a part-time clerk.
On another note, the random live mode pictures after CAS tends to happen with which ever sim household I’m most proud of after editing and styling, particularly if they’re standing close enough that I can get them in a group shot. So this household was my winter round fav. I had shots from every round but fall.

You exhale in disappointment as you look at your messaging apps, the same phrase appearing in all of them.
You have 0 new messages.
Zero.
"Did everyone really forget it?", you mumble to yourself, partially upset and partially angry because none of your friends wished you for your name day. It wasn't even that hard, yet not even a wish.
You feel a stray tear slip down your cheek and you immediately wipe it away, chastising yourself for fretting over something so miniscule - despite it being very much important.
You walk over to the kitchen and rummage through the cupboards for any type of alcohol to drown your sadness and to your luck, you find a bottle of red wine Vernon bought about two weeks ago. You grab a glass and try to open the bottle, but you’re struggling with the well-sealed lid.
“Need any help with that?”.
You screech at the man behind you and nearly drop the wine bottle. “When the fuck did you get home?!”, you yell at him, still kinda scared. “First of all, rude. Second, rude, again, for getting out only one glass for yourself”, he comments with a flat face. He takes the bottle in his hands and pops it open with ease, taking out another glass for himself and filling the two glasses.
"Anything else to complain about?", he asks you with a teasing tone. "I hate my life and nobody cares about me", you grumble and take a sip of your wine. "That's bullshit", Vernon deadpans and places a bag from a pastry shop on the kitchen counter.
"What is that?", "Open it and you'll see", he smirks and you squint his eyes at him. You reluctantly open the pastry box and a gasp escapes your lips when you see four pieces of punch cake, the bright pink and yellow colors instantly bringing happiness to your heart.
"Why-", you ask Vernon, but he cuts you off with a kiss on your lips, feeling him smile against it. You wrap your arms around his neck, the wine glasses now forgotten on the counter. "Happy name day, idiot", he whispers against your mouth and you nuzzle your head in his chest.
"I can't believe you actually remembered it", you sniffle slightly. "Wish I had more time to buy you an actual gift as well", Vernon admits with a hint of guilt.
"Your fucking existence is my gift, dumbass".

plastic glove slipped on, wren dug through the heavenly-smelling sweets on display to retrieve... a heart-shaped piece of chocolate stuffed with caramel. they reached over the counter to present it to the girl, smile renewed by the simple joy of doing something nice for another human. “here you go. on the house. for valentine’s and for just, y’know, being generally awesome.”

BUT I think he’s the type who’s genuinely soooo so so intuitive!!! he wouldn’t be with you if he truly believed that you wanted him for his money. even though he’s known for always being so loud, he’s equally as quiet and is always listening and watching!!!! so with that, I really believe that he could read your intentions pretty early on and already knows that money really wouldn’t be a defining factor for your relationship.
I’m also speaking from experience, but I’m definitely the type where I window shop A LOT, I put a bunch of shit in different carts, go to a million different websites and stock up, but I never buy shit!!!!! and so I think if he has a SO who’s probably the same, it makes him want to do even MORE for you, money wise!!! I think he’s the type to want to spoil you in anyway he sees fit, and especially in ways where you struggle to spoil yourself!
so yeah he gets extremely fucking offended when you ask for a prenup lmfao I can imagine him just side eyeing you for the LONGEST time with the nastiest glare ever!!! bc to him, he’s already pulling teeth trying to get stuff for you, trying to convince you that you can buy whatever dumb useless paraphernalia you want with his money bc he makes too much anyway!!!! I also think he gets a little offended honestly lol like damn do you really think that low of him???? and it’s not like you necessarily do but you just don’t want him to think you have the wrong intentions ya know????
I’d definitely ask bc I’m just an anxious ass person in general and I would hate for someone to think I’m using them or there for them w the wrong intentions. dont put it past him tho, he will actually throttle you and sit on you until you admit that a prenup is dumb and that you’ll never ask for it again

I recorded past your first 100 since some of these were names and some I haven’t heard for myself (others told me you said them), so I wasn’t sure if those should count.
You also know a lot of animal sounds: moo, quack quack, baa, ooh-ooh-ah-ah, neigh, rarrr! And you try to snort like a pig but it’s basically you just pushing air out of your nose.
And you’re starting to string words together! Dada work/Mama work/Grandma work. Grandma house. Baby cry. Where’s Elmo. It’s a money. It’s a fart. Dada fart. Grandma fart. (All the most important things, obviously.)
It’s amazing how quickly you’re learning! I was able to record your words in order maybe up to #14. And then all of a sudden you’re bringing me objects and telling me their names, or we’re walking by something and you stop and point and tell me what it is!
And you do the funniest, coolest things. You love giving people the fist to “pound it.” You change your dance moves according to the music (from swaying to stomping to head banging). You pick diapers up off the floor and throw them away (not that we leave a lot of diapers laying around... but if we don't throw it away immediately, you’re on it!) You like to turn around in your highchair at restaurants and sit it in backwards so you’re facing the tables beside us, and no one around you can eat because they’re all just oohing and aahing and giggling at you as you smile and make faces and wave. You yell “Bye yo!” (bye y’all?) at people if they walk away without paying attention. You’ve put your snack bag on over your shoulder and called “bye yo” to me as you walked toward the front door. You put your little Hello Kitty purse on when it’s time to go and bring our shoes to us (Mama shoes. Dada shoes.) Auntie Alyss said she saw you bow your head, make some soft muttering noises, then say, “Amen” before eating!
You’ve gotten very comfortable at Daycare now! Judy says you’re not a huge fan of sharing. Well, that’s not exactly true -- you like people sharing with you! I guess it just doesn’t seem like sharing when you’re the only one taking toys and food away from the other kids. I’m sure you’d be cool with it if they did the same to you, though. And who made Judy the boss of what sharing looks like anyway?
I think you’re pretty smart. Most of the time when you’re throwing a fit or getting whiny because you want something, I just say, “Say please,” and you’ll stop mid head-throw, tears streaming down your face, and say, “Please.” And then you’ll wait patiently while I get whatever it is you were asking for.
You’re also compassionate. You’ve given hugs and kisses when we’ve told you we were sick or hurting. And if we pretend-cry because you have something you won’t give us, you lower your head and look up at us with those big, round eyes of yours... and sometimes give in.
That’s another thing -- you’re pretty determined. Maybe strong-willed is more accurate? That’s nothing new, though -- they were saying that the day you were born. Our “fights” have mostly been over clothes and shoes so far. See these pictures?
These are just a few of the times when you’ve insisted on dressing/accessorizing your way. (I don’t know what it is with those orange pants and the Christmas light pants... you always want to wear them. And these blue Crocs Auntie Danes gave you that Kyrie grew out of. One thing they all have in common -- they don’t match anything!)
There was one time where you did okay, though:
(You chose the vest and when I told you it was time to go, you made sure to grab a bag that matched your outfit! It may just have been luck that day, though, sorry to say. You insisted on dragging that bag around for a while after that.)
Your new most-requested song is “ABC, ABC” -- when Elmo sings the alphabet with India Arie. Sometimes you’ll still ask for “Cece” (Cecilia and the Satellite). And Andrew McMahon’s other songs still seem to do the trick in keeping you calm at times... but your fave is definitely anything where Elmo’s high-pitched voice makes a cameo.

Our mornings together! Snuggling in bed, you sitting on the kitchen counter while I make breakfast, watching you feed yourself with a spoon (you always ask for a “poon” now and are getting really good at using it!), you sitting on the bathroom counter, brushing your teeth while I brush mine, then watching me get ready and trying to copy me with Q-tips and chapstick and eyeliner.
I love the soft way you look at me when we’re sharing a pillow, and when you voluntarily give me kisses and hugs! And how you make a little whimpering noise when I pick you up after being away, and you’re happy to see me.
And just today, you, Daddy, and I were all lying on the bed together, trying to get you to go to sleep -- you looked at Daddy like you were going to kiss him... then you pulled out your hand, squeezed his nose, and said, “beep beep!”
Well it’s getting past midnight now, so I should go to sleep. I love you, my sweet Karis. You bring so much joy everywhere you go!
