Irish Counselling Directory: Why Do Counselling Services Need SEO?
We  have endured over 18 months of a crippling pandemic, that has left more  people in need of mental health services than ever before – and it’s  now time for the best counselling services to stand out from the crowd and be easily found online.
Tumblr media
Many people who need counselling services, are looking for a discrete  way to contact someone. Today online search is becoming more popular. What  a good SEO service does for a company is not only to ensure that they  are found easily, but also help in pinpointing the right service at the  right place.More and more people are using their mobile phones to search for  services, and they will often use the phone’s assistant such as “hey  Google”, Alexa, Siri, Bixby or Bing to name but a few.So people looking to access counselling might use some of the following terms.
Where can I find addiction counselling near me?
How can I improve my mental health?
I’ve lost my partner, who can I talk to?
I feel really depressed, what can I do about it?
How can I feel better about my mental health?
My daughter is being bullied in school, is there any one she can talk to?
I am really stressed in work, can anyone help me?
I’ve lost my job and my confidence?
Not everyone uses the standard SEO terms, that people think of like:
Counselling Dublin
Counselling services Ireland
Counsellor near me
Mental health counselling
Mental health Meath
This is where an SEO company like 3R, needs to think outside the box  for their clients. We do this using a mix of what’s called “Long tail  key-words” in monthly articles we would write for our clients. This not  only distinguishes them from other companies using similar but different  services, it pinpoints to their clients exactly what they are looking  for! One of the services we do is to write specialist articles for our clients – This provides one of the much needed back-links and also great content for the company to put in those “long-tail” key words. So to help our clients and their clients who need their counselling services, we’ve created a mini directory of our clients.  This will help them with back-links, since that’s also very important  in SEO. We also hope to highlight to other counselling companies out  there, that by sticking together, we can all help with the tsunami of  mental health issues that we feel are coming down the line.So here’s a list of our current Counselling clients whom we’ve done a combination of SEO, Adwords and website design for, and also a few words they had to say about us.
3R’s Irish Counselling Directory

I understand the story of marat and his assassination event
But who is lepeletier?
Because I saw a drawing for him by louis David and I learned about his death which happen to be the same as Marat so yeah .. I wanna know about him.
According to the biography Michel Lepeletier de Saint-Fargeau, 1760-1793 (1913), its subject of study was born on 29 May 1760, in his family home on rue Culture-Sainte-Catherine, a building which today is the Bibliothèque Historique de la Ville de Paris. His family belonged to the distinguished part of the robe nobility. At the death of his father in 1769, Lepeletier was both Count of Saint-Fargeau, Marquis of Montjeu, Baron of Peneuze, Grand Bailiff of Gien as well as the owner of 400,000 livres de rente. For five years he worked as avocat du roi at Châtelet, before becoming councilor in Parliament in 1783, general counsel in 1784 and finally taking over the prestigious position of président à mortier at the Parlement of Paris from his father in 1785. On May 16 1789, Lepeletier was elected to represent the nobility at the Estates General. On June 25 the same year he was one of the 47 nobles to join the newly declared National Assembly, two days before the king called on the rest of the first two estates to do so as well. A month later, during the night of August 4 1789, he was in the forefront of those who proposed the suppression of feudalism, even if, for his part, this meant losing 80 000 livres de rente. Four days later he wrote a letter to the priest of Saint-Fargeau, renouncing his rights to both mills, furnaces, dovecote, exclusive hunting and fishing, insence and holy water, butchery and haulage (the last four things the Assembly hadn’t ruled on yet). When the Assembly on June 19 1790 abolished titles, orders, and other privileges of the hereditary nobility, Lepeletier made the motion that all citizens could only bear their real family name — ”The tree of aristocracy still has a branch that you forgot to cut..., I want to talk about these usurper names, this right that the nobles have arrogated to themselves exclusively to call themselves by the name of the place where they were lords. I propose that every individual must bear his last name and consequently I sign my motion: Michel Lepeletier” — and the same year he also, in the name of the Criminal Jurisprudence Committee, presented a report on the supression of the penal code and argued for the abolition of the death penalty. After the closing of the National Assembly in 1791, Lepeletier settled in Auxerre to take on the functions of president of the directory of Yonne, a position to which he had been nominated the previous year. He did however soon thereafter return to Paris, as he, following the overthrow of the monarchy, was one of few former nobles elected to the National Convention, where he was also one of even fewer former nobles to sit together with the Mountain. In December 1792 he started working on a public education plan. On January 20 1793, he voted for death without a reprieve and against an appeal to the people during the trial of Louis XVI (Opinion de L.M. Lepeletier, sur le jugement de Louis XVI, ci-devant roi des François: imprimée par ordre de la Convention nationale). After the session was over, Lepeletier went over to Palais-Égalité (former Palais-Royal) where he dined everyday. The next day, his friend and fellow deputy Nicolas Maure could report the following to the Convention:
Citizens, it is with the deepest affection and resentment of my heart that I announce to you the assassination of a representative of the people, of my dear colleague and friend Lepelletier, deputy of Yonne; committed by an infamous royalist, yesterday, at five o'clock, at the restaurateur Fevrier, in the Jardin de l'Égalité. This good citizen was accustomed to dining there (and often, after our work, we enjoyed a gentle and friendly conversation there) by a very unfortunate fate, I did not find myself there; for perhaps I could have saved his life, or shared his fate. Barely had he started his dinner when six individuals, coming out of a neighboring room, presented themselves to him. One of them, said to be Pâris, a former bodyguard, said to the others: There's that rascal Lepeletier. He answered him, with his usual gentleness: I am Lepeletier, but I am not a rascal. Paris replied: Scoundrel, did you not vote for the death of the king? Lepelletier replied: That is true, because my confidence commanded me to do so.Instantly, the assassin pulled a saber, called a lighter, from under his coat and plunged it furiously into his left side, his lower abdomen; it created a wound four inches deep and four fingers wide. The assassin escaped with the help of his accomplices. Lepeletier still had the gentleness to forgive him, to pray that no further action would be taken; his strength allowed him to make his declaration to the public officer, and to sign it. He was placed in the hands of the surgeons who took him to his brother, at Place Vendôme. I went there immediately, led by my tender friendship, and my reverence for the virtues which he practiced without ostentation: I found him on his death bed, unconscious. When he showed me his wound, he uttered only these two words: I'm cold. He died this morning, at half past one, saying that he was happy to shed his blood for the homeland; that he hoped that the sacrifice of his life would consolidate Liberty; that he died satisfied with having fulfilled his oaths.
This was the first time a Convention deputy had gotten murdered, and it naturally caused strong reactions. Already the same session when Maure had announced Lepeletier’s death, the Convention ordered the following:
There are grounds for indictment against Pâris, former king's guard, accused of the assassination of the person of Michel Lepelletier, one of the representatives of the French people, committed yesterday.
[The Convention] instructs the Provisional Executive Council to prosecute and punish the culprit and his accomplices by the most prompt measures, and to without delay hand over to its committee of decrees the copies of the minutes from the justice of the peace and the other acts containing information relating to this attack.
The Decrees and Legislation Committees will present, in tomorrow's session, the drafting of the indictment.
An address will be written to the French people, which will be sent to the 84 departments and the armies, by extraordinary couriers, to inform them of the crime against the Nation which has just been committed against the person of Michel Lepelletier, of the measures that the National Convention has taken for the punishment for this attack, to invite the citizens to peace and tranquility, and the constituted authorities to the most exact surveillance.
The entire National Convention will attend the funeral of Michel Lepelletier, assassinated for having voted for the death of the tyrant.
The honors of the French Pantheon are awarded to Michel Lepelletier, and his body will be placed there.
The president is responsible for writing, on behalf of the National Convention, to the department of Yonne, and to the family of Lepelletier.
The next day, January 22, further instructions were given regarding Lepeletier’s funeral:
On Thursday January 24, Year 2 of the Republic, at eight o'clock in the morning, will be celebrated, at the expense of the Nation, the funeral of Michel Lepeletier, deputy of the department of Yonne to the National Convention.
The National Convention will attend the funeral of Michel Lepeletier in its entirety. The executive council, the administrative and judicial bodies will attend it as well.
The executive council and the department of Paris will consult with the Committee of Public Instruction regarding the details of the funeral ceremony.
The last words spoken by Michel Lepeletier will be engraved on his tomb, they are as follows: “I am happy to shed my blood for the homeland; I hope that it will serve to consolidate Liberty and Equality; and to make their enemies recognized.”
In number 27 (January 27 1793) of Gazette Nationale ou Le Moniteur Universel, the following long description was given over Lepeletier’s funeral, held three days earlier:
The funeral of Lepeletier Saint-Fargeau was celebrated on Thursday 24 with all the splendor that the severity of the weather and the season allowed, but with such a crowd that it could have been the most beautiful day of the year. At ten o'clock in the morning his deathbed was placed on the pedestal where the equestrian statue of Louis XVI previously stood, on Place Vendôme, today Place des Piques. One went up to the pedestal by two staircases, on the banisters of which were antique candelabras. The body was lying on the bed with the bloody sheets and the sword with which he had been struck. He was naked to the waist, and his large and deep wound could be seen exposed. These were the mournful and most endearing part of this great spectacle. All that was missing was the author of the crime, chained, and beginning his torture by witnessing the sight of the triumph of Saint-Fargeau. As soon as the National Convention and all the bodies that were to form courage were assembled in the square, mournful music was played. It was, like almost all those which has embellished our revolutionary festivals, the composition of citizen Gossec. The Convention was ranged around the pedestal. The citizen in charge of the ceremonies presented the President of the Convention with a wreath of oak and flowers; then the president, preceded by the ushers of the Convention and the national music, went around the monument, and went up to the pedestal to place the civic crown on Lepeletier's head: during this time, a federate gave a speech; the president dismounted, the procession set out in the following order: A detachment of cavalry preceded by trumpets with fourdincs. Sappers. Cannoneers without cannons. Detachment of veiled drummers. Declaration of the rights of man carried by citizens. Volunteers of the six legions, and 24 flags. Drum detachment. A banner on which was written the decree of the Convention which ordered the transport of Lepeletier's body to the Pantheon. Students of the homeland. Police commissioners. The conciliation office. Justices of the peace. Section presidents and commissioners. The commercial court. The provisional criminal court. The department’s fix courts. The electorate. The provisional criminal court. The department's criminal courts fix. The municipality of Paris. The districts of Saint-Denis and the village of L’Égalité. The Department. Drum detachment. The seal of the 84, worn by Federates. The provisional executive council. National Convention Guard Detachment. The court of cassation. Figure of Liberty carried by citizens. The bloody clothes worn at the end of a national pike, deputies marching in two columns. In the middle of the deputies was a banner where Lepeletier's last words were written: "I am happy to shed my blood for my homeland, I hope that it will serve to consolidate Liberty and Equality, and to make their enemies known.”
The body carried by citizens, as it was exhibited on the Place des Piques. Around the body, gunners, sabers in hand, accompanied by an equal number of Veterans. Music from the National Guard, who performed funeral tunes during the march. Family of the dead. Group of mothers with children. Detachment of the Convention Guard. Veiled drums. Volunteers of the six legions and 24 flags. Veiled drums. Volunteers of the six legions and 24 flags. Veiled drums. Volunteers of the six legions and 24 flags. Veiled drums. Armed federations. Popular societies. Cavalry and trumpets with fourdines. On each side, citizens, armed with pikes, formed a barrier and supported the columns. These citizens held their pikes horizontally, at hip height, from hand to hand. The procession left in this order from the Place des Piques, and passed through the streets St-Honoré, du Roule, the Pont-Neuf, the streets Thionville (former Dauphine), Fossés Saint-Germain, Liberté (former Fossés M. le Prince), Place Saint-Michel and Rue d'Enfer, Saint-Thomas, Saint-Jacques and Place du Panthéon. It stopped front of the meeting room of the Friends of Liberty and Equality; opposite the Oratory, on the Pont-Neuf, opposite the Samaritaine; in front of the meeting room of the Friends of the Rights of Man; at the intersection of Rue de la Liberté; Place Saint-Michel and the Pantheon. Arriving at the Pantheon, the body was placed on the platform prepared for it. The National Convention lined up around it; the band, placed in the rostrum, performed a superb religious choir; Lepeletier's brother then gave a speech, in which he announced that his brother had left a work, almost completed, on national education, which will soon be made public; he ended with these words: I vote, like my brother, for the death of tyrants. The representatives of the people, brought closer to the body, promised each other union, and swore on the salvation of the homeland. A big chorus to Liberty ended the ceremony.
According to Michel Lepeletier de Saint-Fargeau, 1760-1793 (1913), civic festivals in honor of Lepeletier were celebrated in all sections of Paris, as well as the towns of Arras, Toulouse, Chaumont, Valenciennes, Dijon, Abbeville and Huningue. Lepeletier’s body did however only get to rest in the Panthéon for a little more than a year, as on February 15 1795, the Convention ordered it exhumed, at the same time as that of Marat. It was instead buried in the park surrounding Château de Ménilmontant, the properly of which the ancestor Lepeletier de Souzy had purchased in the 17th century and that still remained in the family.
One day after the funeral, January 25, Lepeletier’s only child, the ten and a half year old Susanne, who had already lost her mother ten years before the murder of her father, was brought before the Convention by her step-mother and two paternal uncles Amédée and Félix. It was Félix who had held a speech during the funeral and he would continue to work for his seven years older brother’s memory afterwards too, offering a bust of him to the Convention on February 21 1793, (on the proposal of David, it was placed next to the one of Brutus), reading his posthumous work on public education to the Jacobins on July 19 1793, and even writing a whole biography over his life in 1794 (Vie de Michel Lepeletier, représentant du peuple français, assassiné à Paris le 20 janvier 1793 : faite et présentée a la Société des Jacobins).
The president announces that the widow of Michel Lepelletier, his two brothers and his daughter, request to be admitted to the bar, to testify to the Convention their recognition of the honors that they have decreed in memory of their relative. It is decreed that they will be admitted immediately.
One of Michel Lepeletier’s brothers: Citizens, allow me to introduce my niece, the daughter of Michel Lepelletier; she comes to offer you and the French people her recognition of the eternity of glory to which you have dedicated her father... He takes the young citoyenne Lepelletier in his arms, and makes her look at the president of the Convention... My niece, this is now your father... Then, addressing the members of the Convention, and the citizens present at the session: People, here is your child... Lepelletier pronounces these last words in an altered voice: silence reigns throughout the room, with exception for a couple of sobs.
The President: Citizens, the martyr of Liberty has received the just tribute of tears owed to him by the National Convention, and the just honor that his cold skin has received invites us to imitate his example and to avenge his death. But the name of Lepelletier, immortal from now on, will be dear to the French Nation. The National Convention, which needs to be consoled, finds relief to its pain in expressing to his family the just regrets of its members and the recognition of the great Nation of which it is the organ. The Nation will undoubtedly ratify the adoption of Michel Lepelletier's daughter that is currently being carried out by the National Convention.
Barère: The emotion that the sight of Michel Lepeletier's only daughter has just communicated to your souls must not be infertile for the homeland. Susanne Lepelletier lost her father; she must find now find one in the French people. Its representatives must consecrate this moment of all-too-just felicity to a law that can bring happiness to several citizens and hope to several families. The errors of nature, the illusions of paternity, the stability of morals, have long demanded this beautiful institution of the Romans. What more touching time could present itself at the National Convention to pass into French legislation the principle of adoption, than that when the last crimes of expiring tyranny deprived the homeland of one of its ardent defenders and Susanne Lepelletier of a dear father! Let the National Convention therefore give today the first example of adoption by decreeing it for the only offspring of Lepelletier; let it instruct the Legislation Committee to immediately present the bill on this interesting subject. I ask that the homeland adopt through your organ Susanne Lepelletier, daughter of Michel Lepelletier, who died for his country; that it decrees that adoption will be part of French legislation, and instructs its Legislation Committee to immediately present the draft decree on adoption.
This proposal is unanimously approved.
Susanne being adopted by the state would however lead to a fierce debate when, in 1797, this ”daughter of the nation” wished to marry a foreigner. For this affair, see the article Adopted Daughter of the French People: Suzanne Lepeletier and Her Father, the National Assembly (1999)
Right after Barère’s intervention, David took to the rostrum:
David: Still filled with the pain that we felt, while attending the funeral procession with which we honored the inanimate remains of our colleagues, I ask that a marble monument be made, which transmits to posterity the figure of Lepelletier , as you clearly saw, when it was brought to the Pantheon. I ask that this work be put into competition.
Saint-André: I ask that this figure be placed on the pedestal which is in the middle of Place Vendôme... (A few murmurs arise)
Jullien: I ask that the Convention adopt in advance, in the name of the homeland, the children of the defenders of Liberty, who, for similar reasons, could be immolated in the vengeance of the royalists.
All these proposals are referred to the Legislation and Public Instruction Committees.
On Maure's proposal, the Assembly orders the printing of the speeches delivered yesterday at the Panthéon, by one of Michel Lepelletier's brothers, Barère and Vergniaux.
If it would appear David never got to make a marble monument of Lepeletier, on March 28 1793, he could nevertheless present the following painting of his to the Convention, which isn’t just a little similar to his La Mort de Marat.

(This image is an engraving of the actual painting, which has gone missing)
After Marat on July 13 1793 (on the very same day the plan for public education Lepeletier had been working on was read to the Convention by Robespierre) became the second assassinated Convention deputy, we find several engravings etc, depicting the two ”martyrs of liberty” side by side.

In the following months, even more people would be join the two, such as Joseph Chalier, a lyonnais politician executed on July 17 1794 and Joseph Bara, a fourteen year old republican drummer boy killed in the Vendée by the pro-Monarchist forces.

Lepeletier’s murderer, 27 year old Philippe Nicolas Marie de Pâris, a man who the minister of justice described as  "former king's guard, height five pieds, five pouces, barbe bleue, and black hair; swarthy complexion, fine teeth, dressed in a gray cloak, green lapels and a round hat” on January 21, went into hiding right after his deed. In spite of his description being published in the papers and a considerable sum of money being promised to whoever caught him, Pâris managed to flee Paris and settled for a country house of an acquaintance near Bourget. He there ran into a cousin of one of the owners. When Pâris asked for food and a bed, he was refused and instead disappeared into the night again. In the evening of January 28 he arrived in Forges-les-Eaux and stopped at an inn, where he came under suspicion once he started cutting his bread with a dagger after which he locked himself into his room. The following morning he woke up with a start as five municipal gendarmes came bursting into his room and told him to come with them. Pâris responded that he would, but in the next second he had picked up his hidden pistol, placed it into his mouth, and pulled the trigger. Searching the dead body, the gendarmes found Pâris’ baptism record (dated November 12 1765) and dismissal from the king's guard (dated June 1 1792), on the latter of which had been written the following:
My certificate of honor. Do not trouble anyone. No one was my accomplice in the fortunate death of the scoundrel de Saint-Fargeau. Had I not run into him, I would have carried out a more beautiful action: I would have purged France of the patricide, regicide and parricide d’Orléans. The French are cowards to whom I say: Peuple dont les forfaits jettent partout l'effroi,  Avec calme et plaisir j'abandonne la vie.  Ce n'est que par la mort qu'on peut fuir l'infamie Qu'imprime sur nos fronts le sang de notre roi. Signed by Paris the older, guard of the king, assassinated by the French.
Learning about what had happened, the Convention tasked Tallien and Legrand with going to Forges-les-Eaux and making sure the dead man really was Pânis. Having come to the conclusion that this was indeed the case, the deputies briefly discussed whether the body ought to be brought back to Paris, but it was decided it would be better if it was just buried "with ignominy.” It was therefore instead taken into the nearby forest in a wheelbarrow and thrown into a six feet deep hole.
Finally, here are some other revolutionaries simping for honoring Lepeletier’s memory just because I can:
…a tragic event took place the day before the execution [of the king]. Pelletier, one of the most patriotic deputies, and who had voted for death, was assassinated. A king's guard made a wound three fingers wide with a saber: he died this morning. You must judge the effect that such a crime has had on the friends of liberty. Pelletier had an income of six hundred thousand livres; he had been président à mortier in the Parliament of Paris; he was barely thirty years old; to many talents, he added the most estimable of virtues. He died happy, he took to his grave the idea, consoling for a patriot, that his death would serve the public good. Here then is one of these beings whom the infamous cabal who, in the Convention, wanted to save Louis and bring back slavery, designated to the departments as a Maratist, a factious, a disorganizer... But the reign of these political rascals is finished. You will see the measures that the Assembly took both to avenge the national majesty and to pay homage to a generous martyr of liberty. Philippe Lebas in a letter to his father, January 21 1793
Ah! if it is true that man does not die entirely and that the noblest part of himself survives beyond the grave and is still interested in the things of life, come then, dear and sacred shadow, sometimes to hover above the Senate of the nation that you adorned with your virtues; come and contemplate your work, come and see your united brothers contributing to the happiness of the homeland, to the happiness of humanity. Marat in number 105 (January 23 1793) of Journal de la République Française
O Lepeletier! Your death will serve the Republic: I envy your death. You ask for the honors of the Pantheon for him, but he has already collected the prize of martyrdom of Liberty. The way to honor his memory is to swear that we will not leave each other without having given a constitution to the Republic. Danton at the Convention, January 21 1793
O Le Peletier, you were worthy to die for your homeland under the blows of its assassins! Dear and sacred shadow, receive our wishes and our oaths! Generous citizen, incorruptible friend of the truth, we swear by your virtues, we swear by your fatal and glorious death to defend against you the holy cause of which you were the apostle; we swear eternal war against the crime of which you were the eternal enemy, against the tyranny and treason of which you were the victim. We envy your death and we will know how to imitate your life. They will remain forever engraved in our hearts, these last words where you showed us your entire soul; ”May my death,” you said, “be useful to the homeland, may it will serve to make known the true and false friends of liberty, and I die content.” Robespierre at the Jacobins, January 23
Wednesday 23 [sic] — We went to Madame Boyer’s to see the procession. I saw the poor Saint-Fargeau. We all burst into tears when the body passed by, we threw a wreath on it. After the ceremony, we returned to my house. Ricord and Forestier had arrived. I was unable to stop my tears for some time. F(réron), La P(oype), Po, R(obert) and others came to dinner. The dinner was quite fun and cheerful. Afterwards they went to the Jacobins, Maman and I stayed by the fire and, our imaginations struck by what we had seen, we talked about it for a while. She wanted to leave, I felt that I could not be alone and bear the horrible thoughts that were going to besiege me. I ran to D(anton’s). He was moved to see me still pale and defeated. We drank tea, I supped there. Lucile Desmoulins in her diary, January 24 1793
…Pelletier's funeral took place this Thursday as I informed you in my last letter (this letter has gone missing). The procession was immense; it seemed that the population of Paris had doubled, to honor the memory of this virtuous citizen. The mourning of the soul was painted on all the faces: it was especially noticed that the people were extremely affected, which proves that they keenly felt the price of the friend they had lost. Arriving at the Pantheon, Lepelletier's body was placed on the platform prepared for it; his brother delivered a speech which was applauded with tears; Barère succeeded him. Then the members of the Convention, crowding around the body of their colleague, promised union among themselves, and took an oath to save the country. God grant that we have not sworn in vain, that we finally know the full extent of our duties, and that we only occupy ourselves with fulfilling them! In yesterday's session, Pelletier's daughter, aged eight [sic], was presented to the National Convention, which immediately adopted her as a child of the homeland. Georges Couthon in a letter written January 26 1793
How could I be so base as to abandon myself to criminal connections, I who, in the world, have never had more than one close friend since the age of six? (he gestures towards David's painting). Here he is! Michel Lepeletier, oh you from whom I have never parted, you whose virtue was my model, you who like me was the target of parliamentary hatred, happy martyr! I envy your glory. I, like you, will rush for my country in the face of liberticidal daggers; but did I have to be assassinated by the dagger of a republican! Hérault de Sechelles at the Convention, December 29 1793
For a collection of Lepeletier’s works, see Oeuvres de Michel Lepeletier Saint-Fargeau, député aux assemblées constituante et conventionnelle, assassiné le 20 janvier 1793, par Paris, garde du roi (1826)

Computer skills need to be part of law school. 80% of the law students and baby lawyers I meet don't know about directory trees, can't check file sizes and formats and thus can't figure out why they can't email the 1.2GB ISO to opposing counsel and can't open it on their iPhone, are absolutely helpless when the evidence requires them to download a codec to view it, think they need to install AVG Antivirus, etc etc. Does law school think they're all going to have admin staff to handle this shit for them the moment they pass the bar? Malpractice factory.

18+ only, read at your own risk
Requested by @dinolandsworld: ok here i am!! i'm exposing myself a lot here but this is actually a fantasy of mine and the law jargin story added a lot to it ... basically having reader fucking natasha senseless in an actual courtroom.
maybe reader is prepping for a trial and yk how they get the courtroom to practice before it and nat shows up and once again gets turned on because of the words reader is using and because how hot she looks in a suit .. and yeah. just nat getting bended over the witness stand with reader fucking her from behind
that would be kind of it
Word count: 1337
AN: Looks like y’all couldn’t get enough of Part 1, so here’s a little more to keep the sinners fed. 😘
Repost because Tumblr is a hoe.
“The defense would like to bring Ms. Johnson to the stand at this time,” you say, trying your best not to look down at your notes. Your partner, Jennifer, sits behind the podium, playing the role of Ms. Johnson.
“Ms. Johnson, can you confirm that you were walking on the sidewalk of 7th Avenue on the night of July 30, 2022?” you ask.
“I was,” Jennifer says.
“Could you see the two defendants sitting on the front porch of the house?”
“Yes.”
“And were you present when the gunshots were fired?” you ask.
“Yes, because I heard them and saw the muzzle flash,” Jennifer answers.
“Could you see who fired the gun?”
“No, but I know a gun was fired from that porch.” Jennifer was going off the police report with Ms. Johnson’s witness statement. This cross-examination was the only way to extract information that wasn’t recorded in the official report–and also point out its flaws.
“But you don’t know who shot it?” You hadn’t intended for it to sound like a question, but you couldn’t take it back and Jennifer jumped on your mistake.
“Objection,” Jennifer says, now taking on the role of the opposing counsel and the judge. “Asked and answered, Y/N.”
“Right.” You’re grateful she doesn’t steamroll you and cause you to lose your rhythm, but you gracefully move into the next question without much pause. “After the gun was fired…”
***********************************************************************
Natasha strides through the courthouse, searching for Department 103. This is not her element, and she feels like a foreigner wandering the halls. People in full suits–whom she assumes must be attorneys–walk by, and she secretly hopes you’re wearing one, too, even though you were just here for court preparation.
After consulting a faded directory on the wall, she finds the correct courtroom. She pushes open the door slightly, hearing your voice and your partner’s.
“Objection, Your Honor,” Natasha hears you say and she feels a jolt go right down her core. “There is a lack of foundation for that evidence because the opposing counsel did not properly admit it.”
Natasha had spent the last few weeks watching all the law shows she could get her hands on, but she still doesn’t understand a word you say.
“Wait, really?” Jennifer breaks character to ask you.
“You didn’t ask the right questions,” you say.
“I didn’t?”
“No, remember you have to have the witness testify about the evidence. Then you have to ask the court to admit it. It’s a step-by-step process.”
Natasha wants to swoon when she hears you educating your partner about court rules.
“Ok, that makes sense, thank you.” Jennifer collects her notes into a briefcase. “You’ll be okay for tomorrow?”
“I’ll be out in a few minutes. Just need to go over some last-minute arguments,” you reply.
“Need any help?”
“No thanks, I’m good.”
“Sure. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
Natasha backs away from the door and waits until your partner exits before popping up.
“Oh, hey, Natasha,” Jennifer says. “Y/N will be right out.”
“Thanks.” Natasha practically runs into the courtroom. “Hi, baby!” she calls out.
“Nat! What are you doing here?” You’re in the middle of clipping your briefcase closed when you turn around and see her. Today, you’re wearing a white button-shirt whose buttons look like they’re going to pop off if you flex too hard, paired with black suspenders. Natasha wipes her chin as she walks up to you.
“I thought we could grab dinner together,” she says, grabbing onto one of the suspenders and dragging you down to her level. She takes extra caution to kiss you lightly on the lips when all she wants is for you to take her right here in the courtroom. “I heard a little bit of what you and Jennifer were talking about. I still couldn’t understand any of it, but it was…” She bites her lip while looking up at you.
You chuckle, no longer surprised at how much work talk turns on your girlfriend. The last few times you were in bed with her, she had made you recite your entire thesis.
“You want me to put you on the stand?” you ask, your voice lowering.
Her eyes widen.
“And what if, instead of cross-examining you, I fuck you?”
Natasha looks at your crotch, where she suddenly notices how much it’s bulged out.
“Just in case.” You wink at her.
Natasha squeals as you pick her up easily and carry her to the podium to the right of the judge’s chair (maybe you could use that another time). You kick the chair out of the way, setting her on the desk and brushing her hair aside so you can kiss her neck. Natasha throws her head back and moans, her hands clinging onto your broad shoulders and raking down your back.
“The defense would like to call Ms. Natasha Romanoff to the stand,” you whisper into her ear, feeling her shudder against you. “Do you know why you’re here today, Ms. Romanoff?”
“Because…Because…” Natasha is already a mess and you haven’t even touched her yet.
“Because you were fucked by the defendant?” Your hand forces its way up Natasha’s shirt and gropes her breast. She pants against your neck, her nails digging harder into your back. “Answer the question, Ms. Romanoff.”
“Yes, yes, I was,” she begs.
You pick her up off the desk and turn her around, bending her forward until her stomach is flat against the wood surface. Her skirt rides up and you see she isn’t wearing panties. You lick your lips in anticipation.
“The defendant’s counsel would like to introduce Exhibit A to the jury,” you say, keeping one hand on Natasha’s butt and the other pulling down your pants so your strap has room to pop out.
Natasha keens when she feels the toy brush against her center and pushes back instinctively. You thrust your hips forward and bury the strap inside of her without warning. Natasha squirms underneath but you keep her pinned down, your muscular thighs pressed to the backs of hers and you don’t move so she can adjust to the size.
“Ms. Romanoff, is this the same strap the defendant fucked you with?” you ask, barely able to control your own breathing now.
Natasha feels so full, her walls massaging the strap and she clenches uncontrollably around it. “Yes, it is,” she answers, her voice strained.
“And how exactly did the defendant fuck you?”
“Hard and rough,” Natasha says, hoping to get her point across.
“Like this?” Your fingers tighten around her hips and you start hammering your hips like an animal.
“Fuck, Y/N!” Natasha screams at a volume that makes you momentarily concerned someone outside will hear. She goes limp across the witness stand as you pound into her tightness, grunting and growling with each of your thrusts.
You never thought you would take your girlfriend like this, in an actual courtroom on an actual witness stand, and you won’t take the opportunity for granted. The strap is angled upwards to hit your own clit with every thrust, and the stimulation is enough to keep you in line with Natasha’s pending orgasm.
“Did the defendant let you cum?” you ask, keeping your rough pace, although your thrusts become more uneven and sloppy.
“Yes,” Natasha squeaks.
“Did you want to cum today?”
“Please let me,” she practically sobs.
“The court will allow it,” you respond, giving her one more deep thrust and feeling her walls tighten around your strap. Your body goes rigid as your own orgasm washes over you, and when your legs finally stop trembling you rest a little of your weight on Natasha’s back and stroke your fingers through her hair softly.
“You okay, baby?” you whisper, stroking the back of her head.
“Perfect,” she sighs.
“Good.” You gently pull her off the witness stand and push her down onto her knees, your slick strap bobbing in front of her flushed face. “How about we try introducing Exhibit B to the court now?”

Bit of a long-winded ask, but I'm in the process of trying to find a new mental health professional and one of the prospective ones specializes in person-centered therapy. It's not a process I'm super familiar with, and wanted the opinion of a professional; how likely is this to be effective in treating anxiety and obsessive compulsive tendencies? I'm already a deeply introspective person, and so I'm a bit skeptical about a technique that (to my uneducated perspective) is only reflecting my own thoughts albeit filtered through the perspective of another.
Any insight you might have would be greatly appreciated.
I can do that!
If you've been through counselling before, you know how much of a difference it makes to say stuff out loud, so that no matter how introspective you are, it always hits different to have another person in the room. So we're not discussing this approach vs no therapy, but vs other kinds of therapy.
Person-Centred Therapy (PCT, also known as Rogerian or Humanistic Therapy), is basically the foundation on which psychotherapy as I was taught it rests. You can get counsellors who didn't get Rogers as a base, especially in places like Europe or Latin America where Freudian techniques are still quite popular; but Carl Rogers is like the anti-Freud, someone about whom we are taught very little but of whom Tumblr would probably greatly approve.
So, before I get ahead of myself: The most important thing is whether you, individually, feel like the person who is counselling you is someone you can trust to really listen to you and take you seriously, and that you are in agreement about what your collective priorities are. The technical name for this is "therapeutic alliance" and absolutely nothing is as much of an influence on whether your therapy will succeed as that. Therapeutic style, number of degrees, or years of experience all bow at the feet of therapeutic alliance.
I realize that's not a the most useful thing to hear if you're looking at a web directory of counsellor profiles and trying to pick one. It's often something that needs to be tested out by actually meeting them, and that's a giant pain! I'm sorry about that. Many counsellors offer free initial consultations, which might help.
PCT is a bit of a wildcard because it's got a very very solid grounding in therapeutic alliance, but can vary a lot in actual content. Some therapies that have very rigid techniques and agendas can sometimes feel rough and impersonal, where your therapist seems to be audibly thinking as you talk, "Which worksheet should I cram this one onto?" On the other hand, you have more certainty that they will probably hand you one. PCT relies a lot more on what you bring to the table—Are you a worksheet kind of person? Do you use worksheets to hide from your feelings? What would be better? Frankly, being introspective means this might be a better approach for you than others; the biggest failing of PCT is when clients don't have enough ideas, tools, or insight to spot problems and generate possible solutions, so they need more tangible forms of advice or instruction.
But to address the biggest question: No, the counselling process isn't just your therapist parroting your own words back at you all the time. It's a lot more complicated than that.
Being good at PCT rests on a tripod of three things: Warmth, empathy, and genuineness. They form a complicated dance depending on what's needed at the time. Empathy is just being able to accurately understand and state what another person is feeling; you need the warmth that says someone gives a shit about you and thinks you're okay. Warmth and empathy on their own are often just bullshit without the genuineness that provides honesty and discernment.
That warmth, empathy, and genuineness can include expressing different thoughts and opinions from yours, bringing up contradictions from experience or education, or emotionally reacting to what you've said. Unconditional positive regard (another PCT touchstone) doesn't mean uncritically approving of everything you say and do, but rather, having faith if you're treated in a positive manner, without being shamed, blamed, or punished, you'll work to get better than where you are now.
I hope that's enough of an answer to help. Trust your own instincts when it comes to the person themselves. Good luck!

How do I find a good contract lawyer?
Hi there! I poured myself another glass of wine for this one. When I first saw your ask come in, my first response was "fuck if I know" but I do think I can do better than that. For the purposes of this answer, I'm assuming you're in the US because if not my answer really is "fuck if I know."
But in all honesty, finding a "good" lawyer, which we should define as "the right lawyer to meet your needs" can be really hard. I'm the general counsel for a small business and I'm currently looking for outside counsel to represent us in a state I'm not barred in and it *sucks.*
The first thing is to be able to articulate what kind of contract you're dealing with. The vast majority of my experience is with small business and real estate contracts. I definitely wouldn't be the right person to, for example, review a publishing contract for you.
From there, it's worth seeing if anyone you know has dealt with a similar situation and can recommend someone.
If that doesn't work, you might see if your state bar association has a section specific to what you need. For example, a lot of state bars have an Entertainment Law section. See if the section's website has a directory or any other resources.
You might end up just needing to google it. Make sure you search for your state and the specific subject matter you're dealing with + contract lawyer.
Once you have a few names, you can do the basic due diligence of searching your state bar's directory to make sure they're licensed in your state. Most (all?) state bars will also have a directory you can search of disciplinary actions so you can make sure the lawyer doesn't have a record of getting sanctioned.
Beyond that, my personal preference is for small firms. Meaning absolutely no disrespect to solo shops (I was a solo shop for a few years) but solo practitioners often have no one to turn to when things go sideways. There are plenty of solos who are better at it than I ever was, but when I'm hiring a lawyer I prefer someone who has backup.
I do mean a bit of disrespect for Big Law. These are the large international firms with dozens of offices and thousands of lawyers. Their fees are jaw dropping and they're set up to cater to massive corporations, not individuals. Your work will be done by someone who just graduated law school and doesn't know what they're doing with a cursory glance from someone who charges $1,000/hour. Don't waste your time.
Look for firms based in your area that have somewhere between 3 and 40 lawyers. To me, that's the sweet spot. Even if you get a junior associate, it will probably get a thorough review by an experienced partner. They're also more likely to be able to work with you on fees.
Again, this is all based on my opinion and specific experience. Good luck out there!
Lawblr, what other advice do you have?

Standing With You (pregnancy centers, adoption resources, and more)
Get Your Care (general healthcare)
Brave Love (adoption)
What can a pregnancy center offer?
Pregnancy centers (also known as crisis pregnancy centers, pregnancy care centers, pregnancy resource centers, and pregnancy help centers) are usually independent organizations offering a range of help and support services to pregnant women and families of very young children (usually up to age 2-3).
There’s no single model of what a pregnancy center can do or offer, but most pregnancy centers offer most or all of the following in-house:
- Free pregnancy tests
- Free sonograms (usually limited to pregnancy confirmation scans)
- Limited prenatal care
- Material support such as diapers, formula, baby clothes, maternity clothes, car seats, strollers, cribs, etc… (many centers will throw baby showers for clients, where the center and the center’s donors will buy things from the mom’s registry)
- Options counseling and mentoring
- Classes such as childbirth, parenting, and job skills courses
- Support groups
Again, some offer more, some less. However, the most important thing that a pregnancy center can offer is referrals.
The pregnancy center is the expert on all the resources available in a community, from financial assistance to housing to child care to prenatal and obstetric care, and so on. Pregnancy centers can often get clients to the top of waiting lists or get reduced cost or free services from providers in their network.
So while some pregnancy centers may offer prenatal care, others may have a relationship with a nearby OB/Gyn who offers discounted rates for pregnancy center referrals, or who will move referrals to the top of an otherwise long waiting list (like one OB in my area does).
Pregnancy centers are first and foremost advocates. They are there to support the mom in the her unique set of circumstances, and help her find the combination of resources and support that she needs.
To my pro-life followers:
It is CRUCIAL that you take the time now to look up your local pregnancy resources and get familiar with them. Most pregnancy centers are happy to offer tours if you tell them you’re a community member who wants to be more knowledgeable on the resources available (even more so if you are a potential donor or volunteer).
Also, check with your local 40 Days for Life campaign - they may know more about the resources in your area. Here in Austin, we have a full-time organization that runs our 40 DFL campaigns and also keeps up with year-round sidewalk advocacy and other outreach. They put together a local directory of all our resources, and it’s awesome. If your area has something similar, you need to know the website!
Share local info with your friends and family - everyone needs to know what options are in your community.

In Our Favor
Part 121
McCoy
McCoy reached the dorm room and stretched out on the bed. He was no closer to an idea of what to do than he was before Lt. Cmdr. Sullivan had pulled him aside. He supposed it was nice the man was looking out for his younger sister, but he could have just gone to Cora. McCoy shook his head to himself.
Thinking of Cora, he wondered what she and Eugene had decided to do for their second date. McCoy smiled, knowing he could expect to hear about it the next day before class.
McCoy sighed, then got up from the bed, crossed to his desk and picked up a textbook. He had some reading he could review. It was probably a smarter choice since he still couldn’t decide on anything else.
As he settled in again on the bed and began to read, his mind began to wander. McCoy squeezed his eyes tight against the memories of the simulator and his self forced afternoon in it. With another sigh he opened his eyes again and set aside the book. He still needed to call the counseling division. The order was in his file and he didn’t want to get in trouble.
Reluctantly McCoy reached for his PADD. He pulled up a Starfleet directory, unsure where counseling would be located. Near the campus clinic, that made sense. He took a deep breath. If he called it would be done. Or he could take a quick walk. There might be forms or background information to fill out.
He left a note on the desk, then headed out of the room.
A breeze was blowing as he crossed campus and McCoy wished he’d thrown something warmer on. He picked up his pace. It wasn’t far to the clinic and the counseling services buildings next to it. He knew the places he needed to go each day, but he still didn’t have campus as memorized as Scotty. He wondered how his husband was doing working on his engineering project.
As the clinic came in sight McCoy noticed the counseling building next to it. He’d seen it of course but had paid no attention to it previously. He glanced around as he came to the doors and pushed them open.
A quiet lobby greeted him. Soft music played from somewhere and lush potted plants filled the corners.
“Good morning,” a kind voice said.
McCoy looked around and saw a large window opening. He walked over to it and saw a young man behind a desk.
“Uh, hello,” McCoy said.
“What can I do for you cadet?”
“I’m— I’m supposed to see someone.”
“Someone in particular?” the man asked kindly.
“Lieutenant Flores put it in my file,” McCoy said, looking down at the ground.
“I see. Your name cadet?”
“Leonard Scott-McCoy.”
McCoy heard the quick sound of typing.
“Yes… Here you are…. Oh.”
McCoy looked back up and across the desk. He saw the realization light in the man’s eyes. He let out a quiet sigh.
“Ok. Yes. Lt. Flores notes that you panicked in the flight simulator and thinks you would benefit from some sessions here. Have you seen a therapist before?”
McCoy blinked as he realized the last bit was a question for him, not just information being read aloud.
“Umm, yes. At my previous school. But that was- that wasn’t about my flying—”
The man waved a hand gently at McCoy. “I recognize who you are. It’s good you saw someone for everything you went through.”
“Yes.” McCoy didn’t know what else to say.
“Your previous, were they a man or woman?”
“Dr. Hudson is a woman.”
“Would you prefer to see a woman again?”
McCoy shrugged. “As long as they can help I don’t suppose it matters.”
“Ok. And I can see your schedule here… Wednesday afternoon? 16:45. Gives you time to finish class and get over here.” The man looked up at McCoy questioningly.
McCoy nodded. “Alright.”
“Ok Cadet Scott-McCoy, Dr. Cuthbert will see you then.”
“Uhh, ok. Thank you.” Slowly McCoy made his way back outside into the sunshine.
Part 122
Scotty
Scotty tried his best to finish his project, but his mind was focused on the talk with Kinnear. He really didn't want for people to search through his PADD and comm. It wasn't like he was hiding anything, but he still felt uncomfortable with it.
Aporal had left for his room to finish some homework. He had assured Scotty the everything would be fine and the Scotsman really wanted to believe him. However -
"Cadet?"
A voice made Scotty turn around and he saw Lt. Cmdr. Sullivan. The man gave him a sympathetic look. He obviously felt sorry for the young cadet.
"I'm here to pick up your PADD and your communicator. Do you have them with you?"
Scotty nodded slowly and picked up the PADD lying on the table. He handed it to Cora's brother, then reached for the comm in his pocket. He hadn't expected for his stuff to get picked up so soon.
"Is it okay if I write my husband a quick message so that he knows that he can't reach me for some time?"
Sullivan nodded.
"Of course."
Scotty quickly typed in the words, telling Leonard that he'd come to their room in no time to explain everything to him, then handed the comm over.
"You can pick them up at Admiral Kinnear's office after dinner," Sullivan explained and Scotty nodded understandingly.
"I will, sir."
Obviously not knowing what else to say, the lieutenant only nodded back and then said his goodbye.
Scotty really hoped that everything would be fine.
Leonard was already in their room when Scotty entered it. His eyes were filled with worry and as soon as Scotty had closed the door, Leonard was up on his feet, grabbing his husband by his shoulders. He pulled him in for a tight hug.
"What happened?"
Scotty let out a heavy sigh and allowed for Leonard to lead him over to the bed. The two of them sat down and Leonard wrapped his arm around Scotty.
"Kinnear thinks that I was the one who went to the press," the Scotsman whispered and Leonard's eyes widened in surprise.
"What?! Why would he think that?"
Scotty only shrugged his shoulders.
"Because I'm friends with Aporal. Because I'm good at technology. Because he doesn't like me."
So many options. Leonard just had to choose one.
"Aporal told him that it wasn't me. And that it wasn't him either. But Kinnear still wants to check our devices."
Leonard ran a hand through his hair, groaning.
"The nerves of that stupid admiral!"
"Yeah well, we cannae do anything about it."
A frown crossed the prince's face and he furrowed his brows. Something seemed to confuse him.
"If it wasn't Aporal himself who told the reporters... then who was it?"
Scotty told Leonard the story that Aporal had told Kinnear and Leonard chuckled weakly.
"He's really a smart guy, isn't he?"
Scotty nodded.
"Aye, he is. Daring, but smart.
"Anyway... what have ye been up to until now?"

Timeline (1986 - 1996): Scott delegated yet another write-up onto me. I hope he knows he can't use this "conflict of interest" excuse forever. This whole project is one big conflict of interest, but whatever. I, for one, don't need an excuse to talk about the second-coolest lady mutant I know. And Jean lived with the first on my list, so I know she won't take it personally.
Jean was the middle child of five to two college professors in Annadale-on-Hudson. Her parents doted on her, her big sis and little brothers loved her, she was the happiest little girl north of Broadway. Then one day, when Jean was ten, something horrible happened. Jean and her friend Annie were playing outside, when Annie ran out into the road and was struck by a car.
As Annie was clinging to life, Jean's mutant powers emerged prematurely, using her telepathic powers to try and hold onto Annie, but she didn't make it. Jean felt someone die more closely and directly than most people ever will, and on top of that Jean's powers were like an open wound, her mind taking in every stray thought and feeling around. Eventually, Jean couldn't take it anymore and fell into a catatonic shock.
Timeline (1996 - 1997): Eventually, Jean was admitted to the Millbury Clinic, at the time was one of the top pediatric hospitals in the country. The Greys were worried for their littlest, and who and what "Millbury" was connected to and had done wasn't yet exposed, so let's not hold it against them. After all, even after admitting Jean, they didn't call it a day. They kept looking into what had happened to their daughter, and that eventually got them in contact with Professor Xavier, who was still holding down his residency at ESU at the time.
It would be easy to give Xavier the credit of bringing Jean out of her coma, entering her mind and having a psychic counseling session, but right before Xavier went down to the Millbury Clinic, Jean had a brief anchor for her powers. The mental image of a boy her age with fire blasting out from his eyes altered the empathetic side of her powers. Xavier at least put in some mental blocks on his way out, to help curb the flow of thoughts and sensations Jean would be overwhelmed with otherwise.
Timeline (1997 - 2002): Jean was given a clean bill of health (Something "Millbury" didn't hesitate to take credit for publicly), but the incident with Annie still left an effect on her. As a teenager, the formerly outgoing Jean grew more withdrawn and introspective. She cut her hair, started wearing more muted clothes, and while supportive with others almost never opened herself up to someone else.
This is the time Jean's artsy side started to grow. This all wasn't too long ago, but it was still long enough for being an outed mutant was unthinkable, and though Jean can be quiet and shy, she is absolutely not the type to bottle herself up. That need for visibility is probably where her modeling and performative art stuff first came from, and trying to make sense of her powers is probably why she's so fond of more abstract art and music. All of it is just kinda static to me, but you do you, girl.
Her interest in behavioral science also came up around here. Even with her powers under control, a great deal of maintenance was still needed, and even though Xavier's blocks cut down Jean's telepathy, she had enough to grow fascinated with why people are the way they are. Speaking of Professor Xavier, he and Jean kept in contact over this time, doing check-ups and psychic training both in-person and across the state.
Around the end of her junior year, Xavier approached Jean's parents to ask her involvement in a pilot study of his, one that was meant to test out what would become the school. Jean had managed to graduate early and was ready to go to college down in the city, but she swore to her parents she could handle both. To try and sweeten the pot, Xavier offered to cover Jean's housing, which is how she first met Ororo. The two hit it off, both being beauties with big hearts who love all that artsy stuff. Ororo's influence definitely helped get Jean out of her shell, too.
Timeline (2002 - 2003): Jean was at the mansion the day Scott first arrived. She had told Xavier about her visions of him while in her coma, which helped him to track him down years before. Jean thought giving Scott a telepathic greeting would be a cute reunion, but Scott himself didn't seem to agree. Apparently, Scott said he wasn't used to having someone poke around in his head, but he'd also been in contact with the Professor for years up to that point, so I don't buy it (Nor does anyone else).
Jean did much better next time around, when Dr. McCoy first showed up at Xavier's doorstep. He stumbled in in a fugue state, one that even Xavier didn't know what to make of. Fortunately, Jean had been honing her empathy since then, and was able to get Dr. McCoy out of his funk. Wren, that was a different story. Being such a type-a personality, there was a sort of pecking order made by Wren with the only other girl in the group, but thankfully Wren learned to chill out before long. And Bobby, Jean said that he reminded him of one of her little brothers, so it wasn't all that hard to buddy up with him. So before they were even legit, Jean had been the heart of the team from the start.
When Jean first agreed to work with Xavier on mutant activism, she said she was planning on doing it in a sort of capacity Xavier was doing at the time. Helping from a distance, but not too far that her safety or anonymity could ever be put at risk. That's to say that she was probably the last person to ever see herself doing what they would do in Santo Marco that March.
But, believe it or not, while it was Scott and his rousing speech that convinced Xavier to intervene, and Dr. McCoy who told the rest of them the bad blood between Xavier and Magneto, and the whole idea of a mutant response team was first pitched between the two ex-friends years earlier, it was Jean that got all those moving parts together.
She's the one who lent the emotional support to get Scott to make that rousing speech in the first place. Just a few hours later, she and the rest of them were flying into an in-progress international incident. Talk about getting out of your comfort zone, huh?

by J.V. Fesko | I think one of the most underrated things a pastor can do is pray for his congregation. I think pastors, of course, should do all of the regular tasks we might expect, preach, study, counsel, meet with the elders, and perform the regular pastoral administrative responsibilities, which may vary from church to church. But I think pastors should invest…

Do you have any advice for finding the right therapist? In my experience they are not made equal, and tend to have expertises in different things. I'm worried whoever I end up seeing with be clueless about schizophrenia/schizoaffetive. In your opinion do most know enough about psychosis, or is it a specialty thing?
sometimes it needs to be a specialty thing depending on your mental state and ability to care for yourself/the severity of your symptoms, but most therapists have a very basic knowledge of schizospec disorders.
that being said, they are still very very helpful when navigating recovery and learning to deal with symptoms more successfully.
if your therapist ends up being clueless or very non-knowledgeable, you can ask them to learn WITH you, which could help others like you in the future, or you can politely try another therapist until you find one you feel comfortable with and who understands and clicks with you.
most insurance companies have sections on their website with a directory of therapists, what the specialize in, and where they’re located. definitely check that out if you don’t know where to start.
you can also google your local health department, as they normally have publicly accessible mental health/counseling centers.
