there's something to be said about gale telling peeta that katniss will choose the person she can't survive without - a sentiment that katniss notices lacks any mention of love or comfort or affection, only partnership and practicality. because survival is the basis of gale and katniss's relationship - their relationship is the product of an oppressive regime where so many people starve and die and suffer. they built a partnership out of pragmatic necessity - friendship and affection and yes, even love, did spring from that, but nevertheless, survival was the foundation for them, and the fact that the majority of their dynamic is spent in the woods and this is the only place gale sees her happy is symbolic of that.

but her relationship with peeta is extremely different. he gives her laughter and comfort and joy no matter where they are. he balances out the temperamental and volatile nature (a characteristic she shares with gale as a result of their conditions) with peacefulness and an appreciation for beauty and goodness. they have a trust and camaraderie and friendship that extends far beyond the need for survival, a bond that connects them beyond merely the need to stay alive and protect their loved ones. it is with peeta that she truly lives and laughs and loves and betters herself. peeta notices and brings out the most wonderful parts of her cold, dispassionate exterior (mockingjay, suzanne collins), gives her an appreciation for beauty in life (dandelion in the spring, the pearl on the beach, etc). he's the calmness and peacefulness that she needs to truly live and feel free and safe, while gale is violence and storms and outbursts (which she may agree with, but his tendencies to choose violence don't satisfy katniss's emotional needs in a relationship like peeta does).

to gale and katniss, love and relationships and friendships and human connection come second to practical concerns and the mere desire to simply not die. for peeta and katniss, love and life are about far more than just survival, which is why they share an emotionally charged connection that's stronger than what gale and katniss have.

Argh... so I've been reading in Scum Villain's Self-Saving System (SVSSS) fandom recently. And it's given me a new pet peeve about formatting and TTS. A bunch of the authors in that fandom are using black lens brackets to indicate the 'system' voice, 【like this】, because the original novels do, and, yeah... unfortunately that's not always compatible with TTS (definitely not with google's TTS engine, and testing with various other online TTS engines gives mixed results).

YUP! They get read aloud! Every. Single. Time. They. Appear. Open black lens bracket like this close black lens bracket.

Please resist using the novel's formatting and just use regular square brackets instead! Which do not get read aloud unless there's a space in a bad position, [ like this ]. If you want to be fancy, maybe use <tt>...</tt> formatting or a monospaced font such as courier to make it stand out more as something mechanical.

Which reminds me, another bad formatting choice I've bumped into multiple times (and I can't remember if I've mentioned this one before) is where authors use something <like this> to indicate things like speaking mind-to-mind, or that someone is speaking a foreign language (despite the actual text still being in English). Cool. Neat. Also not TTS compatible, unless you like repeatedly hearing less than and greater than mixed into the text. But guess what - there are already perfectly serviceable ‹single› and «double» angled quotation marks that could be used instead - and since they're recognized as actual quotation marks, they don't get read aloud! Shocking, I know.

Those angled quotation marks could also be another decent option for indication of things like the system voice, obviously.

The House where your Venus is usually tells us around the time we start dating, and who we are most likely to date. It is still important to look at that placement as it can indicates around what age we can meet our Future Spouse.

Looking at the rulers here are important and I will explain after. First looking at our Chart Ruler is the key point. Look at the ruler on your rising sign. Look also at the ruler on your 7H. Check also the one on your 2H, since it is also a house that can indicate much about our Future Spouse. The 11H can also be quite important. 7H trines 11H, and the 11H also represents our wishes and dreams in some sort, so it could then also represent the ideal partner. Looking at those Houses' rulers will help us, since based on those we will look at those planets' returns. Take only traditional rulers.

It is a known thing that these two planets are used for marriage indicators, but also Future Spouse. Jupiter is usually used to represent the Husband, while Venus will represent the Wife. ʚɞ My best friend has Virgo DSC, so ruled by Mercury. She also has her Moon in her 7H. She will marry young but not too much (because of Virgo), and she will probably marry her first boyfriend. She will not have much struggles in relationships. Funny thing, she has Libra moon in her 7H, and her bf is a Libra moon. Her Venus is in the 6H, she will maybe starts dating later in life but not too old, maybe in her 20's, but she will be careful bout who she will date. She will also take her time in dating people. That's indeed what happened. Now let's look at the different Rulers in her Natal Chart: her Chart's Ruler is Jupiter, her 7H's Ruler is Mercury, her 2H Ruler is Venus, and her 11H's Ruler is Saturn. So looking at those planets, she could get married during her Mercury, or Venus, Jupiter or Saturn Return. Her Jupiter Return happened in 2023, she was too young to marry but she indeed met her FS that year! They are currently dating. Now to exactly see the year it would happen, we are also gonna check the Solar Returns. She has indicators of marriage in 2026-2027 SRC and in 2027-2028, so that could happen in 2027 mostly. She has a Mercury Return on August 29 2027 and a Venus Return on August 11 2027. She could indeed either get proposed to in August 2027 or get married. But this could also happen in 2028, with the Mercury Return on August 21 2028 and Venus Return on September 22 2028. So for her, it would be either August 2027 or August-September 2028. She indeed has her Saturn return on 2029 but her Solar Return doesn't indicate a marriage that year.

ʚɞ My Brother has Taurus DSC, so ruled by Venus. He has his North Node in his 7H, meaning his purpose in this lifetime is to learn about relationships, and being in Taurus is to know a stable love life. So marrying could be part of this. There aren't indicators of marrying young or late. His Venus is in Sagittarius so it can be in his 20's, but conjuncting Pluto and Mercury, this could be later in his 20's. In the end, it's young, but not "too young". So I guess between his 25 yo to his 30 yo. He started dating when he was a teenager, which makes sense with Mercury in Sagittarius conjuncting Venus. Since his 2H is in Sagittarius, the ruler is Jupiter, and his 11H is in Virgo, ruled by Mercury. So we will look at his Venus, Mercury and Jupiter's return! My brother is a tough one since there are signs over a lot of years, such as 2027 and 2028. Both years could be a potential year to marry for him. On 2027, he has a Mercury and Venus return, but also his Jupiter return. On his Solar Return this year, he has Neptune and Groom on his 7H, and the DSC is in Pisces, so the ruler (non traditional) is in the 7H, which is a good sign. Otherwise, in 2028 his Jupiter returns is ending, he also has a Mercury and a Venus return, and in his SRC this year Uranus 7H indicate a big transformation there, DSC is in Taurus, being ruled by Venus, which conjunct Juno, Part of Fortune and Jupiter. Also the huge stellium in 1H really tells me this year could indicate a huge transformation of identity for him. If it is in 2027, the wedding could happen between October to December 2027. If it is in 2028, it could happen between August and December 2028.

ʚɞ My aunt has Taurus DSC too, so also ruled by Venus. Her 7h is empty too. She has Jupiter Leo in 9H, she started dating in high school, and mostly dates classmates or colleagues. She also has it in Leo, she was quite popular and many people had a crush on her. She has 2H in Sagittarius, so ruled by Jupiter. And her 11H is in Libra, so ruled again by Venus. So we will look at her Venus, Jupiter, and Solar Return Charts mostly. The thing is, she does have indicators of marrying this year, and she has a Venus Return also this year, and she IS getting married this year! She also has indicators in 2025 in her Solar Return Chart though, and also has a Venus Return, and her Solar Return is from August 2025 to August 2026, she also has a Jupiter return in 2026. In the end, she has potential until 2026, so things can happen still! They can marry a second time or something else can happen!

ʚɞ My DSC is in Aries, so ruled by Mars. In my 7H, I have my Saturn and Jupiter there. Because of the mix of those two planets, that makes me marry young yet not too much, so between 25 to 30 yo max. The fact that my DSC is in Aries truly indicates marrying fast, which means once I am with my FS, everything will go fast...🥲 My Jupiter is in my 7H and it is important for me since I am interested in men. It makes me marry quite young in a way, but it also brings me luck in marriage. I started dating indeed when I was around college years. My 2H is in Scorpio, ruled by Mars. My 7H is ruled also by Mars. And my 11H is ruled by Leo so ruled by the Sun. So we will look mostly on the Mars Returns, but also Jupiter, as you have to check it if you are interested in men. But also my Solar Return, which seems to be very important in my cases. Looking at my Mars return, I have a return in 2025 & 2027 for the next years. His Venus is in the 10H in Pisces. He started dating around the time he was 22-24 years old, mostly classmates in college years, but he was taking things slow and romantic. He is into long term things usually and do not fool around when he is with someone. He dates to marry. His Venus being in Pisces, we will look at his Jupiter returns too. Moving on to his 2H, it is in Gemini so Mercury ruled. We already talked about his 7H. And his 11H is in Pisces so, again, Jupiter ruled traditionally. So for him, we are going to look at his Mars Return, Jupiter Return, Mercury Return and still the Venus return because he is interested in women. I might call crassus my girl in the group chat, but I’ve actually spent more years wishing that spartacus got to run crassus through on his sword and then read the fate of rome out of his entrails. ALAS. on that note, isn’t it kind of interesting how spartacus’ funeral games for crixus turn roman order upside down and feel like both a foundational sacrifice and a curse? isn’t it kind of fun how crassus will not die in rome, and neither will pompey, who came in like a vulture to take credit for crassus’ work? ❤️‍🔥✨️Your (future) Spouse's Profession in your Natal Chart✨️❤️‍🔥

We will use derivative astrology to know what is the profession of your spouse (future spouse). This is done by considering the 7H in your natal chart as the Ascendant for your s/o. So the 10th place from the 7H in your natal chart is your 4H. Therefore the 4H and it's ruler's placement tells you about their career. Flip your Natal Chart so that it's easier to navigate. Your 7H becomes their 1H, your 8H becomes their 2H, your 9H becomes their 3H, and so forth until you reach their 12H which is your 6H.

So, look for these 3 things:

Your 4th house sign

Your 4th house ruler

Your 4th house ruler placement - but flip the house ONLY

Ex. You have 4H in Virgo. Ruler Mercury is in your 9H Aquarius (whichever house the ruler is in, flip the house ONLY. So, in this example, it's your spouse's 3H in Aquarius).

For the best results use the whole sign house system and the traditional rulership.

Note: All the Natal Charts used in the examples will be reversed, as it will help you see the person's 7H as their spouse's 1H. Also, for all these people they themselves have a pretty defined career, so it's pretty obvious that celebrities usually marry celebrities, so their spouse's careers are usually easy to think of. You just need a bit of creative thinking with your own Natal Chart. Once you have a bunch of possibilities listed out, then see if there is someone you really like has one of those careers, and maybe they are going to be quite a significant partner for you!

Justin Bieber's Natal Chart

Justin has 4H in Aquarius, with Saturn in 5H Pisces. This means his spouse's career is signified by an Aquarius 10H containing Mercury conjunct Mars, and ruler of 10H in 11H Pisces.

So, Hailey has had a pretty unconventional career. Till a few years back we didn't know what she did for a career, except for the fact that she modelled for a few shows here and there. Later, considering Saturn, she has started her own business (Rhode Skincare). Pisces signifies beauty and all things dreamy, fun and lighthearted. Aquarius is related to the internet, and we all know she is big on posting tiktoks and having this online fandom. With Mars conjunct Mercury, she has gathered attention online because of Justin, and is part of a lot of discussions.

Hailey Bieber's Natal Chart

Hailey has 4H in Pisces, with Jupiter in Capricorn 2H. Which means her spouse's profession is signified by a 10H Pisces with Capricorn Jupiter in 8H.

Pisces is related to beauty, theater, arts, anything that brings out your creative abilities. So Justin is a musician. Jupiter being in Capricorn suggests that Justin has been in this field in the presence of a lot of older figures. A significant impact on his career has been because of his managers, his mom and he almost has been "parented" by all these people he met when he started out pretty young. And a lot of his earlier music has been made possible through working with other people.

Gigi Hadid's Natal Chart (considering her daughter's father Zayn Malik)

Gigi has Leo 4H with Sun in 1H Taurus. So her spouse's career significator is a Leo 10H with Sun in Taurus 7H. Also, Mars in his 10H.

So, Zayn is an artist. Leo again signifies something creative, where a person can express themselves. Sun being in Taurus shows that there are exceptional talents when it comes to using their voice. 7H Sun shows that his career is tied to working with other people, and he was in a band, One Direction. Mars in 10H shows he may have had conflicts with the people he worked with because something didn't suit his personal direction he wanted to go in or schedules were hectic while he worked with other people.

Kim Kardashian (considering Kanye West)

Kim has Pisces 4H with Jupiter in Virgo 10H. So her spouse's career significator is 10H in Pisces containing Moon in 10H, and ruler Jupiter in 4H Virgo.

Kanye has a reputation of being pretty vocal of whatever he's going through and that reflects in his music. He is a pretty "deep" kind of musician. Pisces rules art, beauty and especially with Moon in Pisces, the person has exceptional creative talents and those are inspired by their emotions. With Jupiter in 4H, he's quite private, but his public life has a lot of family issues out in the world. Jupiter in Virgo, music is a regular part of his life, like no matter what happens, he always prioritized sticking to making music. His career took a major part of his family and private life.

Ed Sheeran's Natal Chart (his wife Cherry Seaborn)

Ed has a Libra 4H with Venus in Pisces 9H. So his spouse's career significator is a Libra 10H with Venus in 3H Pisces.

It shows she is someone with a very diplomatic energy, and is quite intelligent when it comes to navigating with other people (3H Venus).

Ryan Reynold's Natal Chart (his wife Blake Lively)

Ryan has a Sagittarius 4H with ruler Jupiter in 9H Taurus, and 4H contains Venus + Neptune. So his spouse's career significator is a 10H in Sagittarius containing Venus and Neptune. Ruler Jupiter in 3H Taurus.

So straight up with Venus and Neptune in the 10th shows that there is a heavy involvement of beauty that deceives, and that is acting. His spouse is involved in acting, and Neptune rules over the imagination, etc. Venus further intensifies the beauty aspect of Hollywood. Jupiter in Taurus 3H shows that she has a great understanding of her thoughts, has an ease in regulating her reactions, which makes her an amazing actor.

The Signs

Aries - Something to do with leadership, field-work, independent work or using the physical body for sports, working with authorities.

Taurus - Food, beauty, decor, working with tangible products, estates and lands, physical therapy, finances.
