A message from your friendly neighborhood Appalachian Latina:

Okay so today being the day that it is and me being the person I am I heave decided to talk about Appalachian heritage and culture vs what a bunch crappy people have tried to make it. This is all my experience not universal also some will be funny and totally fine to laugh at.

Im starting on the more serious note here because I feel these things really need to be addresed and as a Appalachian woman of color I often have felt that people dont think that both parts of this identity are compatible.

Things that are not Appalachian:

- Being racist

-being xneophobic

-Being homophobic or transphobic

-Flying a confederate flag (most of Appalachia was border states if not fighting for the Union side)

-Drinking shitty beer

- Licking the boots of cops and corporations

- being against higher education

- being an anti vaxxer

- glorifying the coal industry and the lives it has cost and is still costing

- hatred towards indeginous people

-Supporting a toxic or abusive family dynamic

-denying woman human rights

- shaming poor people

-Intentionally making your truck stupidly loud

-Union busting, and being against care and support for the disabled and elderly

-Poaching (Appalachian people value our resources and nature) WE hunt to eat not just to kill or destroy

Moving onto some lighter stuff, now these are some of things I love about being Appalachian and part of this culture and community.

Things that are actually Appalachian:

-Running from cops (seriously its like a whole ass thing)

-Fighting for Unions and Workers rights (The actual origin of Redneck, that term is not for racist fuck heads, it originated from red bandanas worn for Pro-union rights

-Being completely and terrifyingly unphased by coyotes

-Making your liquor

-Ignoring the screaming in the woods because that aint your problem

-Folk magic and traditions and superstitions rooted in Paganism and some indigenous magic

-Being part of the underground railroad (The appalachians made a ton of safe houses and protections pre and post civil war for people fleeing the south)

-Hunting to control Deer population and for food

-Knowledge of homesteading, useful herbs, and homeopathic remedies

-Strong sense of community and family

-Ignoring whatever is moving in the corn feild because you arent a white guy in a horror movie

-Women forming safe houses from abusive husbands or from other types of danger

-Valuing and appreciating the land and the connection we have with it

-Fist fighting God in a coal mine

-Weird ass folk tales and cryptids (see MothMan)

-Not letting your commuity go hungry

-caring for the old sick and vulnerable not out of pity but out of compassion and respect

-Fighting for your rights and the rights of others

-Resilience and strength in times of adversity

-Knowing at least on person who’s grandmother was some kind of witch with psychic abilities

-Knowing when the woods is silent something is wrong

-Screaming back at screech owls to assert dominance

-verbal history

-vibrant stories and music

These are my experiences as an Appalachian woman of color who loves both parts of her heritage and desperate wants to discourage the narrative that Appalachian people are rude prejudiced and uneducted. We are a resilient and loving people, we are full of stories traditions and a melting together of the new and old worlds. We are people with a murky history, yes, but we are full of acceptance love and strength.

To all my fellow Appalachians who hear these mixed narratives, know that we are the authors of our story. TO all my fellow people of color know that this mountainous region is not built exclusively on hate. Know that you belong, that your cultures are valid and that progress is not about rejecting your culture but about adaption to embrace new perspectives and beginning new stories

Not gonna lie, after all of the stuff that's come out about how Nijisanji EN 'manages' the talents in that branch, Selen's termination, the other graduations, and the fact that Doki spent over 200,000 dollars in a year and them not pitching in a cent, I feel like Anycolor should just shut it down and stick to their Japanese base, since that seems to be all they care about at the end of the day. Regardless of if they recover financially, the trust they had in the EN Vtuber community has been completely broken and the talents will inevitably be affected by this tainted reputation AND the fact that the termination threw all of the remaining EN talents under the bus. They already have felt some of these consequences, with some large sponsers jumping ship and a large part of the creative part of the commuity refusing to produce any more content/art/merchandise as well as people unsubscribing from any EN talent's channels and not giving them money or support. My heart hurts for them, but the best thing for the talents that are still there is for them to jump ship before it's too late to scrape up whatever's left of their image. If the company did what they did to Doki, who did nothing but try to improve the view and image of the Nijisanji EN branch, then they will absolutely not hesitate to do it to them and tarnish their image and reputation while they're at it. They aren't talents to Anycolor, they're numbers and negligible ones at that.

So I just finished a seven hour painful painful treatment that I actually passed out with so timing and quality will be sparing and different, but this needed to be said Today I would really like to say thank you and send you all the way of two people. While my bestie is finishing her novel,it was hard to be on here sometimes and create a commuity or at least some world or thing I was proud to write and could every day should they respond and so much more. With so much in my life going on, I am already thankful for @thusnelda-targaryen​ and @power-over-one-eye​ who have been like a prayer answered with their friendship. So understanding, sweet communicated, fellow fandom nerds that they are. We can bounce ideas off , laugh, talk and so much more. Things are new but they already mean so much to me and have been there to help me create this better version of myself with which I did not know that I have. Testimony of a Pastor Who Attended the Shincheonji Revelation Bible Seminar

"I haven't been able to touch [upon] the Book of Revelation while preaching until now. But Shincheonji gave a sure testimony, so I received strength. I too want to do my best to be a witness."

"Honestly, the church community avoids preaching on the Book of Revelation. Because, if you preach incorrectly, you'll be called heresy. But I was impressed by the word [spoken] today. I think we should know what we need to know at the end times."

It was last April 22nd.

These are the testimonies from pastors who attended the "Testimony on the Fulfillment of Revelation" Bible Seminar hosted by Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.

On this day, 500 pastors and 1000 church members who are interested in the word were present at the Bible Seminar given by Chairman Man-hee Lee, and they listened earnestly to the fulfilled reality of the promises in Revelation that were fulfilled and appeared on this earth.

Due to the current religious situation in South Korea, it is not easy to attend a Bible seminar hosted by Shincheonji Church of Jesus.

However, it is quite atypical that 500 pastors attended that day.

And the number of pastors who watched the Bible Seminar online was much higher than this.

The number of views of the Bible Seminar, which was broadcast live on YouTube, was approximately 50,000 after the event.

Pastors mainly living in Seoul, Gyeonggi rovince, Incheon, and Gangwon province attended the Bible Seminar.

According to the denominations of pastors who attended the Bible Seminar on this day, 69.1% were Presbyterian, followed by Methodist (7.4%), Full Gospel (3.6%), and Holiness (2.5%).

And by position, the most were pastors at 60.9% and elders at 26%.

In addition, evangelists (5.6%), seminary students (4.7%), missionaries (1.8%), and probation pastors (1.1%) attended the Bible Seminar.

This situation in which so many pastors participated in the Bible Seminar of Revelation by Shincheonji Church of Jesus, it can be said that this is "a phenomenon that should be paid considerable attention to by the church commuity".

Currently, the Korean churches are too passive in educating the interpretation of the Book of Revelation.

Especially when the mention of Revelation itself is a taboo, not just the thirsty believers but also the pastors search for the word regarding Revelation, and as a result, has led them to the offline Bible Seminar.

At this Bible Seminar, Chairman Man-hee Lee explained in detail the overall contents, outline, order of fulfillment, and core contents of the Book of Revelation, as well as the prophecies and fulfilled reality of each Bible chapter.

Chairman Man-hee Lee said, "If you ask me if I have added to or subtracted from Revelation, I can say, 'Do YOU know?' Yes. I know and I want to convey it." He also emphasized, "I'm here today to tell you the fulfilled reality, not the prophecies."

Additionally, Chairman Man-hee Lee pointed out, "It is John who has seen all the events in Revelation 22:8, and it is written in Revelation 22:16, that this person who has seen and heard everything should be sent to the churches to testify to what he has seen and heard." He appealed, "We must believe this word. Shouldn't we follow Jesus' words? Let's understand the true word of God and become God's people in God's kingdom and give thanks and glory to God."

Meanwhile, a retired pastor of the Full Gospel Church said, "It was a time of much grace as he delivered the Bible as it is."

"It is so touching especially when he interpreted the entire Bible, without leaving anything out, in detail. Ususally, most pastors only use necessary verses when teaching the Bible, but Chairman Man-hee Lee testified from the beginning to the end, and it was so impressive," he testified.

"My head kept nodding the entire time while listening to the word. I was very touched today," another pastor said. "When I heard it in person, I realized that there are many wrong thoughts about Shincheonji in the churches. The word is only available here. I'm thankful that I was able to attend the Bible Seminar," he confessed.

Starting with the Bible Seminar in Seoul, Shincheonji Church of Jesus held the Bible Seminar in Busan on the 30th and will hold it in Daejeon on May 6th.

All of these events will be broadcast not only offline but also live on the official YouTube channel of Shincheonji Church of Jesus.

As the time comes closer, the word of Revelation is revealed, and when the word of God is being testified at the time of the second coming of Jesus, 

if you are a believer, shouldn't you open your ears and listen?

God wants everyone to understand the truth and receive salvation.

one of the smaller things that i dont see talked about much that hurt a lot when living in a homophobic commuity is that i cant tell anyone about my first kiss. at all. ofc my friends know but when family members ask i have to lie and say i havent. and there is nothing wrong with being an adult and never having your first kiss--i just wish i could tell the truth when im asked about it. someone asked me a few days ago and i did tell them i did--mainly because they wouldnt go telling other people--but i let them think it was with someone of the opposite gender. it just makes me sad that i cant really openly talk about being aromantic or queer at all--so much of my life is in secret from the people that are supposed to be my support system.
