I’ve put off posting anything to this blog for a while because it just felt, like… too extra, somehow. Like, I’m already thirty, I still collect dolls and plushies and spooky weird shit and make ita bags.
that already feels like A Lot, especially with this weird resurgent push lately that femme people should just stop having interests and hobbies they talk about publicly once they turn 25.
but then again, I’m in the last long haul stage of my degree, so I think I deserve all the little sources of joy I can get, y’know?
one of my favorite things to commission from plush artists is my oc Maxi from @morvantmortuary, one of the first characters I’ve written that I’ve felt this close to and been this excited about since I was a teenager. I just celebrated his one year anniversary on the 9th, and I’ve been thinking about that span of time for the last few days.
I was wondering if it was weird that I’ve loved a person that I kind of conjured out of nothing so much that I keep looking for little versions of them I can hug, you know? if that isn’t a little sad somehow, to try to find a piece of someone that doesn’t exist outside my own head in the art of other people.
But then, like. I wonder if the love is the point here. I loved creating something so much, I want to have a little part of it I can keep with me. One to take with me as my life eventually changes, one to hold on to as I watch the scary movies that inspired him, one to cheer me up on the bad days -
One that I can occasionally dress up in tiny adorable outfits. that was definitely a selling point ngl.
So, yknow. I figure there are worse things I could be into. I have my little plushies of my muses that I like to dress up and play with (Maxi isn’t the only one), I have my collection of bats that I’ve had since I was a kid, I have a kind of morbid bookshelf assortment of knickknacks my friends have given me over the years, and most recently I’ve been taking a years-long collection of enamel pins that I’ve slowly been creating ita bags and other mini arrangements for.
If they bring me joy, I kind of like having the idea of a place to document it. 🖤 it’s hard enough to come by lately, and things are going to get even harder later with other stuff going on. so why not, I guess ✨
three of these guys above came from etsy - if anyone sees any they’re interested in, I’m always happy to share the artist’s info! I’ll probably do a post at some point on what artists I’ve had good experiences with, just to get the word out

Adorable crocheted Fortune comfort blanket by @ko2vo :,-)
I never had anyone crochet Fortune for me, let alone make a blanket.
It reminds me of a little Fortune ghost, I'm obsessed with it.

🐉🌺 Rambutan the Rain/Icewing plush :3
Just an old wof oc of mine I decided to make a plush of.
⚠️I'm open for medium dragon plush comissions!
~If you want a plush like this they start at $70usd +shipping.
~The price goes up depending on details/markings.
~It doesn't have to be wof related or an oc, but has to be a dragon/wyvern/drake.
~I can do international shipping, but there might be fees for customs or somethin like that. 🤷♂️

Been WAY too long since I drew my darling VC- was inspired by some artists I’ve seen revamping the smiling critters as vintage toys & wanted to try my hand at the old rubber faced plush style :3 he looks like he smells like mothballs but in a nice way yknow 🧸

Ta-da! Scrimmy the bat pony is now complete!🦇
As a bonus add-on, the plush got a wearable hoodie was well! It was certainly interesting making some clothing for a quadruped with wings, haha. (huge shout outs to NazFX for her extremely helpful plush clothing tutorial)
It feels great to be getting back to my plush work. Thank you so much for commissioning me, @/scrimmypone! 🥭
