Pierwszy post dotyczy nowoodkrytych i najczęściej stosowanych przeze mnie produktów w mijającym już miesiącu lipcu. W pierwszej kolejności jest to balsam do ciała firmy PALMER’S - Coconut Oil Formula z witaminą E. Balsam zawiera oleje kokosowy, Monoi oraz ze słodkich migdałów, które mają działanie głęboko nawilżające. Ponadto, balsam nie zawiera: parabenów, ftalnów, siarczanów, oleju mineralnego, barwników i glutenu, dlatego jest również skierowany dla osób cierpiących na nietolerancję tego alergenu, reagujących różnymi problemami skórnymi. W moim odczuciu balsam bardzo dobrze się wchłania, zapach jest lekko słodki, ale bardzo przyjemny. Na obecną porę, myślę że jest jak najbardziej odpowiedni :)

Drugi produkt to enzymatyczny jabłkowy peling do twarzy - Apple Smoothie Peeling Gel koreańskiej firmy Mizon, który bardzo bardzo przypadł mi do gustu :) Wcześniej może dodam, że mam cerę mieszaną, ale skłonną do przesuszeń i bardzo łatwo ją podrażnić. Jako, że peling jest enzymatyczny typu “gommage” działa bardzo delikatnie, ale zarazem skutecznie przy dłuższej perspektywie stosowania. Swoje działanie złuszczające zawdzięcza ekstraktom z jabłka, papai, pomarańczy, cytryny i trzciny cukrowej. Naturalna celuloza odpowiada za usuwanie martwego naskórka.  Natomiast nawilżenie zapewnia kwas hialuronowy. Po 3 - minutowym masażu twarzy pory są oczyszczone, cała twarz odświeżona i nawilżona (jakby “wypchnięta od środka”), bez żadnych podrażnień gdzie przy innego rodzaju peelingach (enzymatycznych, gruboziarnistych) miałam często problemy z zaczerwienieniem skóry.

Cinnamon 1 tsp. Ground ginger Method: 350 degree oven 1. Boil dates & water till you get a paste 2. Combine applesauce, coconut oil, brown rice syrup in a separate bowl 3. Combine everything else except cacao nibs & raisins 4. Add applesauce mixture and stir till coated 5. Add date paste till well combines 6. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper 7. Spread mixture on one layer 8. Stir mixture every 15 minutes till golden brown 9. Let cool before placing in containers 10. Going nuts for Coconut !

After years of using butter for just about everything, I’ve traded it all in for the delicious taste of coconut oils. 

A lot of people ask the question ‘well why is coconut oil so much better or than regular butters or other oils?’ or ‘isn't oil super fatty, I thought we don't want to consume high fat diets, fats are bad!’. While fats do get a bad rep, as I'm sure everyone had herd of the dreaded trans fatty acids we consume in fast foods and else where in our diets, saturated fats like coconut oil can be healthy! 

Coconut oil unlike other butters, margins, and vegetable oils contains high amounts of MEDIUM CHAIN TRIGLYCERIDES . medium chain triglycerides are what we call good fatty acids! These fats are easily broken down by our liver and small intestine where they are then turned into KETONE body which are readily used by are body to quickly produce high amounts of energy!  

On the contrary most other oils and butter contain high amounts of trans fatty acids and long chain triglycerides. Long chain fatty acids are harder for our body to break down because they require large amounts of energy and special enzymes to dissemble them! These are the fats that rather than using for fuel our body store them :( 

So next time you're in the kitchen try using some coconut oil as a substitute for oils when making veggies or margarine when making your favourite cookies!!
