Coalstar

Meet one of briarclans biggest pricks in briarclan history. Originally he was the main bad guy before I decided to make Brackenstar the bad guy. He was then a darkforest character before ultimately deciding that he would make the perfect asshole that lives in starclan.

Coalstar always trained hard as a young apprentice and always seemed to pick fights at the border whenever he had the chance. As a warrior he seemed to mature up a bit, enough to be chosen deputy by the then leader boulderstar. When he was made the leader he immediately sprung into action, scheduling routine battle training for everyone in the clan (besided the queens and kits. Yes elders were allowed to participate) usually being the one to train. He was a strict and stern leader. Any small wrong move would be called out. He along with his warriors invented new complicated battle moves and had been the ones that started the briarclan tradition of wrapping briars and thorns around their paws and claws before battle. He would begin to pick fights at borders again as he had done as an apprentice and attempt, and usually win the fights and eventually grew a reputation of being a strong and successful opponent that you wouldn't want to fight against. Briarclan was soon known to be the strongest clan of his time, winning many battles and coming up with tactical moves. He would taunt leaders at gatherings believing that, in his own words, 'they would be too chicken sh*t to stand up for themselves.' And often times he was right. To briarclan, he was dubbed one of the best leaders in history. To other clans he was dubbed the biggest asshole to the clans.

CrystalClan, the beginning.

(Aaaaaaa I wanted to do this as a post because I can't draw cats- 🤧)

(Also disclaimer that I changed the name of some of the cats-)

Moon 0

CrystalClan is founded by Crystalstar (Formerly Crystalfade) (18m F), with Cobaltsky (65m F) as the deputy and Goldnoise (126m M) as the healer. They are joined by Quartzscreech (65m F), Dovearch (20m Trans Male), Fernfire (57m M), Agatestripe (106m NB), and Emeraldgaze (32m NB). The cats settle in a mountain near a crystal river.

Crystalstar receives her nine lives from Flaxpaw, Flaxpaw gives her a life to know when to fight and when to chose peace.

Dovearch starts to develop feelings for Crystalstar after a training match.

Goldnoise and Agatestripe start to feel forbidden feelings for each other after a little water fight.

Moon 1

Quartzscreech promises to always look after Cobaltsky (ColbaltQuartz confirmed?).

Dovearch and Crystalstar become mates (Well that was fast-).

Emeraldgaze and Fernfire become mates (Once again, that was fast-).

Moon 2

Fernfire has gotten heat stroke.

Agatestripe and Goldnoise become mates (A-).

Moon 3

Fernfire has recovered from heat stroke.

Emeraldgaze tossed a snake out of camp before it could bite someone.

Emeraldgaze gets whitecough.

Moon 4

Quartzscreech announces that she is expecting kits.

Crystalstar and Goldnoise get whitecough.

Colbaltsky and Quartzscreech become mates.

Fernfire decides to become a temporary medicine cat.

Moon 5

Quartzscreech moves into the nursery.

Emeraldgaze and Goldnoise recover from whitecough. And yet Fernfire decides to become a permanent medicine cat.

Colbaltsky and Dovearch come across a kittypet while on border patrol.

Moon 6

Quartzscreech has a litter of three kits, the other parent is unknown but it is suspected Colbaltsky is the other mother, despite the kits having nothing in common with Colbaltsky. (Geodekit [M], Coalkit [F], and Shimmerkit [F])

Crystalstar loses a life from whitecough.

Colbaltsky gets whitecough.

(Nothing interesting happened on Moon 7 XP)

Moon 8

Colbaltsky recovers from whitecough.

Agatestripe argues with Dovearch in front of the clan and reveals something embarrassing.

Colbaltsky bonds with Coalkit and Shimmerkit, it's clear who the favorite kits are-

Shimmerkit and Dovearch joke about the rival clans.

Crystalstar and Dovearch discuss Starclan together, the conversation goes very well.

Goldnoise comforts Agatestripe about what would happen if Agatestripe dies.

Her Eyes (Short Story)

Rain crashed against the roof of the medicine den, Swirltail laying on a moss nest covered in rips that she had caused from her anxiety. She came into the den a couple hours ago, not feeling well, and next thing she knew? Kits. Cottoncatcher told her she needed to stay there for the night. She kneaded her claws into the moss again, listening to the roar of distant thunder as she faded in and out of being awake, struggling to really pay attention to anything around her. Was it supposed to be like this?

Next thing she knew, she awoke to mewling and Cottoncatcher, who’s expression made her heart drop. He glanced downwards, and exhaled softly; Speaking the words she prayed she never had to hear.“I’m sorry.. I tried all I could, but.. Only one made it.”

She glanced down, feeling her throat tighten and her body tremor with tears that struggled to fall. Two bodies were still, one squirming and mewling as they snuggled next to her- Their pelt as dark as the stormy sky above. “..May I.. At least name them before they’re buried?” She meowed weakly, voice trembling as she struggled not to sob. “Of course.” Cottoncatcher’s smooth, silver pelt blocked out the light, shadowing over her kits- She gently moved the two stillborns into the sunlight, whispering name ideas softly- Occasionally she’d see Cottoncatcher nod in approval of a name, his bronze eyes littered with mixed emotions; Sympathy, pity? She couldn’t tell nor could she care.

Eventually, the two kits- she settled on the names Dustkit and Joykit for them, -were taken out of the den for burial, and finally she felt herself break. Quiet yet echoing around the den, her sobs filled her ears as she cradled her little survivor in her paws. She forced a small smile at the similarities between them and her friends and family, debating names. So many ideas swirled in her mind- She considered Coalkit after one of her lost friends, but shook her head as she remembered how foolish they all were as apprentices- And his mother was still alive in the elder’s den, it’d be cruel to her to name a kit that looked like him with such a name. Perhaps Nightkit? Was that too basic?

She debated between names for the rest of the day, and through the night. Nobody ever told her naming a single kit would be this tough!Despite this she sighed contently, looking back at her little kit. They were peacefully sleeping next to her, and she finally decided on a name for them; She’d likely discuss it with her clanmates later, to get their opinion. Even if their father couldn’t help her decide, it takes a clan to raise a kit- At least, that’s what she learnt. As she closed her eyes to rest, something in her head prompted her to look at her kit.

And as she turned, her heart dropped again and she froze as a sudden shock hit her, desperately avoiding the instinct to yelp in fear. Their eyes were open, full of curiosity- At least, as open as they could make them, and they were a bright yellow that gleamed in the darkness of the nursery.

The kit had Lunarpaw’s eyes.

Windleap returns to camp with a former kittypet who has named himself Addersight. It’s revealed she and Addersight were in love, and her mate wishes to join the Clan.

Saplingwhisper and Sharpleaf die from eating poisoned prey.

Hazelshine has been looking forward to moons of rest as an elder.

Blueblossom has announced she is expecting kits.

Snakestrike receives his warrior name.

Sapsplash and Flamedance return to camp with a single kit. They name her Lightkit.

Stoatcrest and Oatmeadow have become mates.

Greenleaf

Blueblossom returned to camp with a litter of three kits. She had been having an affair with a BurdockClan cat, but he ended up being killed by the tyrant leader after she found out. She names the kits Foxkit (female), Erminekit (female), and Apricotkit (female).

Budpaw is given her warrior name of Budflower.

Mistshard returned to camp with a newborn she-kit named Birchkit. He’d found her while gathering herbs.

A rogue brings her kit named Ice to the Clan, stating she can no longer care for her.

Brookfreckle has brought a single kit back to camp named Larchkit.

Sapstorm died from dehydration and heat stroke.

Patchbriar has announced she is expecting kits.

Leaf-fall

Ravendapple has announced she is expecting kits once more.

Pinepeak announces she is expecting kits.

Patchbriar welcomes a litter of four kits, unbothered by the lack of partner in the nursery with her. She names the kits Brookkit (female), Fennelkit (male), Egretkit (male), and Aspenkit (female).

Silksight and Nettleclaw have become mates.

Sootwhisker has been resistant to retiring, but knows it’s his time. He approaches Stonestar, and is honored for his service. The next moon, Sapsplash follows suite.

Cliffleaf has noticed herself slowing down, and she retires to the elders.

Ravendapple has secretly had a litter of 3 kits. She names them Creekkit (male), Ashenkit (female), and Coalkit (female). Later, she and Hazelshine become mates, bonding over their lost loved ones.

Lightpaw and Icepaw are apprenticed to Honeyfur and Brookfreckle respectively.

Leafbare

After wandering out into the territory, Rosepelt was later found dead. The Clan mourns her.

Pinepeak and Jayshade had an affair, giving birth to a single kitten they name her Owlkit.

Pearlight brought a litter of 2 kits back to camp. She says she found them abandoned, possibly by a rogue or kittypet. She names them Turtlekit and Troutkit.

Robinchaser and Bumblebuzz return to camp with a litter of 2 kits. They name them Cedarkit and Thistlekit.

Foxpaw, Erminepaw, and Apricotpaw are apprenticed to Salmontail, Bluebloosom, and Gulltail.

Cliffleaf has decided to use her skills to become the Clan’s newest mediator.

Flamedance happily retires to the elders’ den.

Although excited to become an apprentice, it takes Birchkit a lot of coaxing from Mistshard before she’s able to touch noses with her new mentor Oatmeadow.

Brookfreckle watches with pride as Larchpaw is named and given to Shineheart to apprentice under.

So, can you tell us more about that nightpelt and coalstrike WIP?

With infinite pleasure! The fic will be EOTF-compliant, and will be a series of scenes as Coalstrike grows up. Here's the introduction!

Nightpelt had been in the elder's den for seasons before his kits were born, but when they came, Nightpelt sat by his mate, looking proudly at the dark bundles. He played with all of the Clan kits - he didn't have the endurance of some of the other elders, but he had the energy of a younger warrior. When his own grew, they knew they were important to him (it helped that there were no other kits in the Clan). All of the Clan's kits were, but he was their father. Darkkit, always seeking to be the Clan's leader in their games. Dewkit, always quiet, but uplifting the other kits - Nightpelt wondered if he would be Runningnose's apprentice. Coalkit, excited for each new day, but more excited still to spend time with his parents. 

They all had Ashheart's long fur, but Darkkit and Coalkit were both no-moon dark. Coalkit looked more like him every day. He was the smallest of the three, and though his fur was long, it draped rather than fluffed out, making it look more like Nightpelt's, unless you looked at the kit's belly or tail.

Coalkit was also slower, taking more time to join in games and tiring more easily. Nightpelt watched his son with caution, waiting to see if he would develop the same problems with his breathing that Nightpelt had. The elder had suspected that it was a risk, even though none of his kin shared the same problems. Coalkit didn't seem to struggle with his breath, though. None of them did.

I have talked about Oakeyes and how I needed to appreciate him more, but I need to mention one of his moms, Dawnleaf. Dawnleaf definitely experienced trauma as well but it has nothing to do with losing a mate.

- So it started when Dawnleaf was Dawnpaw and back when her sister, Fallowpaw, was still alive. Dawnpaw was more of the bossy ones out of her siblings. Everything was going well for these two ladies. Fernstar loves his two grandchildren, Hollowfoot loves his two daughters and couldn’t appreciate them more. 

- Then Leafbare happened. It was Dawnpaw and Fallowpaw’s first Leafbare together, everything went like average in Leafbare. But somehow prey was running more low than usual. The two sisters wanted to help out their clan, RavineClan, so they snuck out in the middle of a freaking blizzard to go and find some prey to help feed their starving clan. Dawnpaw made the idea and Fallowpaw agreed that it was a good idea.

- They scented something and decided to follow it. They found a rabbit in a cave, they both made a plan and killed the rabbit. But the cave they were in had the entrance closed off all of the sudden, there was a lot of snow and rocks covering the entrance. Fallowpaw was freaking out. Dawnpaw replies that they’ll be fine, she’ll make a plan to get out of there.

- After hours, nothing. There was no way out. Every area was blocked, no way out. Pretty soon they were hungry and broke the rule of eating before the elders and queens could, but they were trapped in a cave together so those two could pass. 

- Pretty soon Dawnpaw suggested that RavineClan would find them and they’ll be fine soon. So Fallowpaw and Dawnpaw waited for RavineClan to find them.

- Seconds turned into minutes, minutes turned into hours, hours turned into days. Fallowpaw and Dawnpaw were still waiting for RavineClan. 

- One of these days, Dawnpaw woke up. And was going to do her usual, waiting for RavineClan to appear and save them. She then noticed her sister, Fallowpaw, wasn’t waking up. Fallowpaw usually wakes up before Dawnpaw. Dawnpaw was thinking that Fallowpaw probably stayed up late. She noticed that her sister was not moving as well, no breathing, no moving around in her sleep, and no signs of twitching. Dawnpaw was starting to get worried now, why was her sister like this? Why isn’t she waking up? Dawnpaw then realized that her sister had passed away in her sleep. Dawnpaw couldn’t believe it, her sister was dead. 

- Dawnpaw was starting to lose hope, what if RavineClan forgot about her and her sister? Was she going to survive this? Does RavineClan care about her anymore? What’s going to happen to her? Dawnpaw started to panic, hours later, she was still freaking out. How can she sleep now after her sister died? Will she forgive herself? Any minute Dawnpaw felt like she could die any second, she was very hungry and cold. She continued to lay there, trying to keep herself warm. She imagined herself getting a lot of prey and warmth when she goes into StarClan, which made her more calm.

- Then she heard rumbling, as entrance of the cave collapsed and she saw lots of cats. RavineClan found her and her sister. Dawnpaw felt like she could cry. She saw her father, Hollowfoot, run up to her and her deceased sister trying to keep her and Fallowpaw warm. Featherstripe noticed that Fallowpaw had joined StarClan and it was very heart breaking to tell Hollowfoot that. 

- Soon Dawnpaw spent most of her says in the healer’s den, now warming up and getting prey. She was now safe, but she felt very guilty that she had survived and not with her sister. She felt truely alone now. She felt it was all her fault for this event to happen, she came up with the plan. Fallowpaw died because of this.

- Soon Dawnpaw recovered and was named Dawnleaf for surviving a cold leafbare and after Fallowpaw. She still felt guilty after all these moons.

- Dawnleaf then became overprotective of her new sibling, Coalkit, making sure he wouldn’t suffer the same incident like she did. Coalfur didn’t end up like her sister did luckily. 

- Dawnleaf doesn’t like her name, leafbare, rabbits, nor being alone.

- She died from a sickness that had nothing to do with any coldness though.

World Update 1

World updates will happen once a day, they will bring up important events that have happened through the day (that have to do with the roleplays not out of character stuff)

Today's world update,

Riverclan- We have 2 kits who have been made apprentices today! Honeypaw, being trained by Bearfrost and Riverpaw, being trained by Stormgaze!

Windclan- we have a new protecter of the camp, the mighty coalkit, fighting all the meanies who come into camp, including the meanest meanie of them all, spottedkit.

A Gathering has been held!

ThunderClan has had five new kittens, parented by Lynxstar and Hailsky - Boulderkit, Maplekit, Eaglekit, Hickorykit and Tumblekit! In addition, they will soon be holding the NewLeaf Ceremony, in celebration of the territory being regrown!

ShadowClan has had one new warrior and two new apprentices - Ashendust, Emberpaw and Sootpaw!

RiverClan has had a tragedy befall them recently; senior warrior, Streamflower, was found murdered along the stream. Her murderer has not been identified yet whispers among warriors look to blame either WindClan or DarkClan. In addition, however, RiverClan welcomes three new kits into the clan - Morningkit, Coalkit and Webkit. Most interesting enough, Morningkit has an element never seen before by the Valley, the Light element. Only time will see what abilities the kit has

WindClan has lost another deputy due to their ongoing wolf problem, yet have seem to have found a solution - they have installed a tunneling system below ground, run by their Earth and Ice elementals, and it seems to be working well. They also welcome four warriors and many kits into their ranks - Duckrun, Rainbloom, Eveningdove and Mossleap as well as Creekkit, Kestrelkit, Brackenkit, Brookkit, and Mothkit mothered by Fallowbird as well as Bumblekit, fathered by Stormstar.

DarkClan has been affected most by the Great Rumbling, an earthquake that hit DarkClan, RiverClan and ShadowClan territory in late leafbare, though even after their defeat in the battle of Splash Cove, they remain strong - they have gained two apprentices and a kit, Halfpaw, Finchpaw and Magpiekit, brother to Bumblekit and mothered by Ravenstar. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Magpiekit was born an Air Elemental and must leave DarkClan when he becomes an apprentice.

Crystalstar announces that she is expecting kits

During the gathering, Elderstar of FallenClan reveals that Quartzscreech's kits are half FallenClan. Elderstar demands Crystalstar to give Geodekit and Coalkit to FallenClan. Crystalstar refuses. A war begins.

Fernfire, realizing that the Clan needs a meditator, steps up as the Clan meditator, hoping that his decision can end the war. Emeraldgaze steps up to become a meditator as well because they wants to be there to support their mate.

Moon 10

Crystalstar officially moves into the nursery.

Shimmerkit was taken by a hawk, devastating her family.

Colbaltsky misses the warmth that Shimmerkit brought to her life.

Quartzscreech bargains with StarClan to send Shimmerkit back to her.

FallenClan steals some of CrystalClan's territory.

While out on a herb-gathering patrol, Goldnoise hears a noise, he goes to investigate and finds a queen trying to calm down her newborn litter. Goldnoise invites her to join the clan, the loner accepts. Goldnoise helps her carry her two kits back to the Clan. The loner becomes Diamondshade (117m [F]), and her kits become known as Amberkit (0m [F]) and Albitekit (0m [M]).

Moon 11

Crystalstar has Dovearch's kits. Their names are Shimmerkit (F) and Sapphirekit (M).

Quartzscreech and Colbaltsky have an argument about Quartzscreech's kits, seeing as Colbaltsky was not the other parent.

Moon 12

The war with FallenClan ends.

Geodekit and Coalkit become apprentices. Coalpaw gets Colbaltsky as her mentor while Geodepaw gets Agatestripe as his mentor. (I audibly gasped when I saw who the mentors were-)

Dovearch receives lavender flowers from Colbaltsky, Dovearch decides to wear them on his pelt.

While on a border patrol, Colbaltsky, Coalpaw, Dovearch, Quartzscreech, and Agatestripe spot a badger building a den on FallenClan territory. The patrol decides to put the rivalry with FallenClan aside and alert a FallenClan patrol about the badger. The patrol thanks them and return to camp to tell Elderstar.

Moon 13

It is revealed that Albitekit has partial hearing loss.

Immediately after recovering from birth, Diamondshade assists Goldnoise with collecting herbs.

Colbaltsky and Quartzscreech break up only to get back together (O_o)

Moon 14

Agatestripe was seen taking food, from a twoleg! (Agatestripe if you pull a Pinestar I swear to Starclan...)

Geodepaw forgives Quartzscreech for lying about who her and Coalpaw's other parent was.

Crystalstar tells Dovearch about a vision she got from StarClan, Dovearch however challenges her, and Crystalstar has Quartzscreech punish him, causing cats to question Crystalstar's leadership. Amberkit and Albitekit comfort Shimmerkit and Sapphirekit after the incident.

Moon 15

Geodepaw has gotten whitecough.

Coalpaw finds out that she had a vision from StarClan.

Moon 16

A loner name Rift (68m [F]) joins the Clan, she keeps her name.

Amberkit and Albitekit become apprentices. Amberpaw gets Rift as her mentor and Albitepaw gets Diamondshade as his mentor.

Rift and Diamondshade bond over how they were both outsiders.

Agatestripe casually reveals that she's expecting kits.

Moon 17

Agatestripe moves into the nursery.

Shimmerkit and Sapphirekit become apprentices. Sapphirepaw gets Crystalstar as his mentor and Shimmerpaw gets Quartzscreech as her mentor. (Oh, oh no-)

Dovearch has recovered from his scratch and bite wound without any scars.

Albitepaw wakes up only to realize he can no longer hear. He cries to Shimmerpaw about it and Shimmerpaw comforts him.

Geodepaw recovers from whitecough while Emeraldgaze gets whitecough.

Colbaltsky, Quartzscreech, and Coalpaw go on a patrol just to witness a sickly kittypet named French Fry (88m [NB]) get abandoned. The three agree to take them to the camp, and French Fry accepts.

Moon 18

Emeraldgaze recovers from whitecough while Coalpaw gets whitecough. (WHY IS EVERY CAT GETTING WHITECOUGH-!? 😭)

Agatestripe has Goldnoise's daughter, they name her Anatasekit.

Albitepaw and Shimmerpaw talk about why Albitepaw kicked Shimmerpaw in his sleep. Shimmerpaw reassures him that it's okay and at the same time, that explains why he's been yawning so much during training.

Diamondshade and Rift become mates.

Moon 19

French Fry recovers from whitecough.

Amberpaw and Sapphirepaw talk during training and realize that Sapphirepaw had a vision from StarClan.

Crystalstar and Dovearch reconcile their relationship.

Albitepaw and Shimmerpaw spot a badger den. After throwing some things in the den, they confirm there is a badger and run fast as the wind back to CrystalClan's camp to inform the clan.

Moon 20

Coalpaw becomes a warrior, her warrior name is Coalshimmer.

Crystalstar announces that she is expecting kits.

Coalshimmer has recovered from whitecough.

Colbaltsky has gotten yellowcough.

Anatasekit wonders how Albitepaw is doing.

Moon 21

Geodepaw finally becomes a warrior, his warrior name is Geoderipple.

Crystalstar moves into the nursery.

Coalshimmer leads a dog away from CrystalClan, but dies in the process.

Moon 22

Albitepaw and Shimmerpaw become warriors. Albitepaw becomes Albiteknoll and Shimmerpaw becomes Shimmershock.

Diamondshade and Fernfire both reveal they are expecting kits. Fernfire moves into the nursery while Diamondshade decides to wait.

Crystalstar and Dovearch have their second litter of three kits. Their names are Charcoalkit (F), Opalkit (M), and Angelsitekit (F)

Colbaltsky curses StarClan for taking away Coalshimmer.

French Fry and Geoderipple become mates.

Sapphirepaw and Amberpaw both bond over the fact that their siblings became warriors sooner than they did while playing in the forbidden tunnels. The moment ends however when the tunnels collapse. Amberpaw runs back to camp, carrying Sapphirepaw as he wails that he can't feel his legs.

Moon 23

Quartzscreech reveals that she's expecting Colbaltsky's kits. She doesn't move into the nursery yet.

Colbaltsky dies from yellowcough.

Diamondshade moves into the nursery.

Crystalstar is injured after saving Shimmershock from a big dog.

Shimmershock and Albiteknoll realize they have feelings for each other, and so the two become mates.

Quartzscreech is ran over by a monster while hunting.

Amberpaw finds an injured loner named Red (68m [M]) near the thunderpath. Apparently he tried to save Quartzscreech. Amberpaw rushes him back to camp.

Moon 24

Anatasekit becomes Anatasepaw. She becomes a medicine cat apprentice. Unfortunately Anatasepaw went to collect herbs only for Goldnoise to find her dead.

Fernfire and Emeraldgaze have three kits. Their names are Onyxkit (M), Smokykit (F), and Azuritekit (M).

Amberpaw finally becomes a warrior. Her name is now Amberfeather.

Diamondshade and Rift have a single kit named Berylkit (F).

Angelsitekit finds feathers and decides to wear them.

Moon 25

Agatestripe retires.

Albiteknoll is selected as the new deputy.

Geoderipple steps up as a medicine cat.

Moon 26

Goldnoise has died from old age, shattering Agatestripe.

Moon 27

Rift announces that she is expecting kits, Diamondshade demands her to move into the nursery so she does.

Smokykit and Azuritekit tried to sneak out of camp only to get busted by Dovearch.

Red has recovered from his injury.
