Newleaf

A wave of colds passes through the Clan. Although it’s light, Dawnwatcher was too weak to recover from it and passed peacefully in the night.

Lichenheart asks to retire to the elders’ den.

Yewflower gives Lilacpaw a friendly nudge as Stonestar calls her forward. He cheers the loudest as Lilacpaw is named Lilacwillow.

Fawnburr has died from infected wounds after he was attacked by a dog the previous moon.

Both Yewflower and Rosepelt realize that time has taken its toll, and is slowing them down. They ask Stonestar to hold a ceremony, and they retire to the elders’ den.

Pumpkintail has announced she is expecting kits.

Sandbright was taking a peaceful stroll outside of camp when he was killed by a dog.

Tuftpaw and Featherpaw are apprenticed to Covestripe and Hatchfur respectively. Meanwhile, Patchpaw becomes a medicine cat apprentice, and is mentored by Hornetsting.

Greenleaf

Rootburst wandered out into the territory and was later found dead. However, she wasn’t attacked, and it seems as though she died peacefully.

Chirpfleck has been resistant to retiring, due to wanting to forget the death of her mate. However, the aches and pains of old age have worn her down, and she approaches Stonestar.

In the nursery, Pumpkintail welcomes a litter of four kits. She and Mossheart name them Gorsekit (female), Ospreykit (female), Nettlekit (female), and Burrkit (male).

Talonfoot and Saplingwhisper retire. Meanwhile, Rosepelt announces she is expecting kits.

Leaf-fall

Rosepelt and Frogleap’s eyes meet over a litter of two kits. They don’t know what to name them, and as such Stonestar helps. They end up naming them Silkkit and Hyacinthkit, both males.

Saplingwhisper decides the Clan could use a mediator, after Mistlebreeze’s death. He comes out of retirement.

The Beginning

Moonclan lived alongside the wolves they worked with for years upon years, longer than any cat could remember. When you saw them, you would give a greeting. If you found extra prey on patrol, you gave some to your friendly canine neighbors. In return, they would protect the clan from the largest threats in the mountains.

Unfortunately, neither Moonclan nor the wolves could prepare for the biggest threat: the Twolegs. Unbeknownst to both the cats and wolves, these humans were called poachers, and were overhunting out of season. The wolves began to starve, unable to subside on the small prey that the cats could.

Eventually, the wolves had no other choice. They launched an attack on the allies they had had for years, hunting them down for food. Some ran successfully, but most died at the teeth of the animals they trusted for their whole lives.

A small group of apprentices found themselves frantically protecting a kit-the only kit in the clan that hadn't already been evacuated. At the mouth of the den stood a she-wolf. The apprentices hissed and spat at her, and her face looked downtrodden. At that moment, she realized that she couldn't hurt these cats, no matter how hungry she was.

So she led them out, tearing a hole in the den to lead them out of camp that way. Far away, she helped them to a cavern higher in the mountains, introducing herself as Duck Nest. The eight escaped cats were forever grateful to her, declaring their new clan to be named Duckclan as they gave each other their new names, stating that they had to be warriors now, because they were on their own.

Howdy everyone! Welcome to Duckclan, a clangen clan where every cat is apprentice-age, save for the one kit!

My plan is to post a few moons every 2-4 days. Every in game 3 years I will make a small post updating everyone on the cats currently in the clan.

Crowstar - 11 Moons old - Male - Leader - 9 lives remaining

A nervous cat, Crowstar is the oldest in the clan, and the one who first banded the group together to protect Downykit. Ever since he'd been very young, he'd been interested in being a nursery king and taking care of the kits of the clan. Despite his want, he felt he had to step up, guided by the blessing given to him by Downykit's mother, Sporeshade, who died in the wolf attack.

He's not sure how well he can lead a clan, but he hopes to do well.

Shimmerscratch - 11 Moons old - Male - Deputy

Shimmerscratch likes to think of himself as thoughtful and clever, and he was in fact the first cat to realize there was something wrong with the wolves. He endlessly regrets not being able to figure out exactly what, and hopes to eventually make up for his perceived mistake. As of now, he's happy with his position, and he is the second oldest cat in the clan, only about a week younger than Crowstar.

Despite being a deputy, Shimmerscratch has no doubts that he won't be the one to succeed Crowstar.

Antlertree - 10 Moons Old - Male - Medicine Cat

Having been trained as a medicine cat apprentice before Moonclan was attacked, Antlertree was the no brainer for the medicine cat of the newly founded Duckclan. He's quite good in remembering the tales of old, meaning he's able to keep Moonclan alive in stories, despite everything else from it being destroyed.

He wants to train an apprentice as soon as possible.

Hyacinthpelt - 11 Moons Old - Male - Warrior

The only cat in Duckclan not born in Moonclan, Hyacinthpelt was found in a patch of his namesake when he was just a little kit, his mother having fallen victim to the hooves of a startled deer. He never trusted the wolves that Moonclan loved so much, and was an outcast because of it. While extremely distressed at the events that played out that day, Hyacinthpelt does feel a little relieved that he wasn't entirely being stupid.

Unbeknownst to him, his bloodline comes from the very distant Lotusclan, who have the ability to see ghosts. He isn't aware of this yet, as he was too young for his mother to tell him before she died. He's in for a very rude awakening with the recent mass death.

Mosspurr - 10 Moons Old - Female - Warrior

Fluffy, charismatic, and a peace lover, Mosspurr has always been interested in the way that traits are passed from parent to kit. She's fond of the long, thick fur of Moonclan cats, and she's hoping that that kind of fur can continue with Duckclan. Very fond of kits, she's interested to know what traits from her family she'd pass to any she had.

Her mane is genetic, and she gets it from her father's side of the family. She has an abnormally large amount of testosterone in her blood for a she-cat, causing her to be larger than most.

Stemspots - 9 Moons Old - Female - Warrior

Ambitious is a good word to describe Stemspots-she's constantly trying to do her best and prove herself. Her specific family line has always seemed to be the cats that can get up the mountain the best, and she carries that trait, with strong front paws and powerful haunches that can send her flying with a well aimed leap. She believes herself to be a descendant of bobcats that joined the clan, and she feels upset that there's absolutely no way to prove it.

She's hoping to be a mentor soon despite being apprentice age herself.

Fernpelt - 8 Moons Old - Male - Warrior

With the shortest fur in Duckclan, Fernpelt is trying his best to not worry about what he's gonna do during the winter. Despite his recent kittypet blood [with his grandmother being one], Fernpelt was confident in his place in Moonclan, and is now even more confident in his place in Duckclan.

He's distantly related to the same group of bobcats that Stemspots is related to, but they themselves are not related.

Downykit - 3 Moons Old - Male - Kit

Though he greatly misses his mother, Sporeshade, Downykit is doing his best to keep a happy face, being the light and the love of the clan. After all, the reason they all banded together was to keep him safe. He's a charming little guy, and frequently wants to play with the older cats.

He can't wait to be a warrior, and is hoping he's apprenticed to Stemspots in particular.

Though I have not drawn her, here's our Starclan guide and Downykit's mom, Sporeshade.

Responsibilities we must bear... Pasts we must confide...

Even after a new era of peace has begun between the four clans, turmoil prevails within LotusClan territory. Newly apprenticed Budpaw is kidnapped by kittypets, causing an uproar of conflict between the clan and the young leader Newtstar, her mentor. Redshade, Budpaw's terrifying and protective father, is especially furious with the leader. With his connections to cats inside and outside of LotusClan, Redshade plots against Newtstar and plans for mutiny.

Redshade is unable to join the search party for his missing daughter due to an upcoming event between clans that calls for him, the strongest warrior in LotusClan. In his place, Newtstar sends four cats: Grapeberry, the healer who Newtstar would rather be rid of; Asterpaw; Redshade's equally terrifying apprentice; Rosecloud, a senior warrior and Redshade's mother; and Pearpaw, a bubbly apprentice that promises to keep the party in check. In order to find Budpaw, the four on their journey are forced to confront their pasts outside of LotusClan.

LotusClan Year 5

Newleaf

Cloverpeak gets his paw caught in a Twoleg trap, but escapes with only a sprain.

Spiketuft decides to retire, feeling himself growing older and more tired. Silkstar calls a meeting and honors his oldest friend. Silkstar chooses Gustgoose to take over as deputy once she recovers.

Strikeheart missteps and slips from a rock, spraining her paw.

Cloverpeak was dragged out into the ocean by the tide and inhaled a lot of water, but he managed to get out.

Greenleaf

Floodlilac travels to BurdockClan to resolve some personal issues.

Shiftingtuft announces that she and Rosemaryfur are expecting kittens.

Raccoonpaw and Snappaw are apprenticed to Strikeheart and Rosemaryfur respectively. Applepaw becomes a medicine cat apprentice to Egretwing.

Spiketuft over-exerts himself and feels sore.

Leaf-fall

Rosemaryfur and Shiningtuft greet their single kitten: a tom whom they name Flintkit.

An injured LarchClan warrior named Leafshade asks to join the Clan, but she won’t explain how she got injured or why she left.

Leafbare

Silkstar feels almost intimidated by how much knowledge Raccoonpaw has gained, but feels confident he will be a great warrior. He names him Raccoontooth in honor of his strength.

Snappaw is named Snappelt while Rosemaryfur sits in the crowd, very prideful.

Egretwing and Applepaw travel to the River of Stars to speak with StarClan. Applepaw sends a silent prayer to StarClan, and is given her medicine cat name of Applecall.

Floodlilac is caught outside of the Clan’s territory, seemingly meeting up with a LarchClan cat.

LotusClan Year 27

Newleaf

Mistshard returned to camp with a litter of 2 kits. They’re named Skipkit (male) and Luckykit (female). Mistshard refuses to talk about where they came from.

Brookpaw, Fennelpaw, Egretpaw, and Aspenpaw reach the age of six moons and are made apprentices. They are mentored by Elmclaw, Hatchfur, Stonestar, and Frostshine respectively.

Thistlekit escaped from camp to go explore, but was found and attacked by a rogue. Ospreywing was on a walk and saw this, helping Thistlekit escape. She asks Stonestar if she could mentor Thistlekit.

Ravendapple and Cherrythorn have been resistant to retiring, however at Stonestar’s insistence, they do.

Lightpaw and Icepaw are given their warrior names of Lightleap and Iceclaw.

Creekpaw, Ashenpaw, and Coalpaw are apprenticed to Oakstripe, Windleap, and Budflower respectively.

Greenleaf

The next moon, Turtlepaw and Troutpaw are apprenticed to Sleetstripe and Fernthistle respectively. Owlpaw has chosen to become a medicine cat apprentice, and is apprenticed to Patchbriar.

Fireclaw has received a prophecy, and she believes she is meant for something greater.

Foxpaw steps forward silently to receive her warrior name of Foxprance. Erminestripe and Apricotbloom do the same.

Cedarpaw and Thistlepaw are apprenticed to Spicewhisker and Ospreywing respectively.

Birchtail and Larchwing receive their warrior names.

Windleap has announced that she is expecting kits.

Sleetstripe admits he has feelings for Featherfade. However, Featherfade doesn’t feel the same way.

A rogue asks to join the Clan. She changed her name to Cloudshine to better fit in.

Leaf-fall

Pinepeak has decided to come out of retirement and use her skills as a mediator.

Jayshade has been looking forward to moons of rest as an elder, and retires peacefully.

Patchbriar watches as her kits receive their warrior names. They are named Brookrun, Fennelfluff,  Egretleap, and Aspensprout respectively.

Skippaw and Luckypaw are apprenticed to Nettleclaw and Foxprance respectively.

Windleap and Addersight welcome a litter of three kits. They name them Ivykit (female), Mousekit (female), and Iciclekit (male).

Rookwing and Robinchaser decide to retire to the elders’ den. They’ve had a good life of serving the Clan, and now it’s time for them to rest.

The Clan cheers for their three new warriors: Creekrush, Ashenpelt, and Coalfur.

Newly named medicine cat Owlheart still feels like there’s much to learn, but is reassured by Patchbriar.

Turtletail and Troutclaw receive their warrior names.

A rogue brings their kit Torn to the Clan, stating he can no longer care for her. Addersight and Windleap take her in.

Leafbare

Salmontail wishes to join the elders.

Stonestar names Cedarpaw and Thistlepaw warriors. They are given the names Cedarstripe and Thistlepelt.

Bumblebuzz and Robinchaser discovered a single kit. They decide to adopt him. They name him Talonkit.

Iceclaw announces she is expecting kits.

Patchbriar and Oakstripe have become mates.

Mossheart traveled to BurdockClan to resolve recent disputes, however, their tyrant leader does not seem to want to listen at all.

Windleap returns to camp with a former kittypet who has named himself Addersight. It’s revealed she and Addersight were in love, and her mate wishes to join the Clan.

Saplingwhisper and Sharpleaf die from eating poisoned prey.

Hazelshine has been looking forward to moons of rest as an elder.

Blueblossom has announced she is expecting kits.

Snakestrike receives his warrior name.

Sapsplash and Flamedance return to camp with a single kit. They name her Lightkit.

Stoatcrest and Oatmeadow have become mates.

Greenleaf

Blueblossom returned to camp with a litter of three kits. She had been having an affair with a BurdockClan cat, but he ended up being killed by the tyrant leader after she found out. She names the kits Foxkit (female), Erminekit (female), and Apricotkit (female).

Budpaw is given her warrior name of Budflower.

Mistshard returned to camp with a newborn she-kit named Birchkit. He’d found her while gathering herbs.

A rogue brings her kit named Ice to the Clan, stating she can no longer care for her.

Brookfreckle has brought a single kit back to camp named Larchkit.

Sapstorm died from dehydration and heat stroke.

Patchbriar has announced she is expecting kits.

Leaf-fall

Ravendapple has announced she is expecting kits once more.

Pinepeak announces she is expecting kits.

Patchbriar welcomes a litter of four kits, unbothered by the lack of partner in the nursery with her. She names the kits Brookkit (female), Fennelkit (male), Egretkit (male), and Aspenkit (female).

Silksight and Nettleclaw have become mates.

Sootwhisker has been resistant to retiring, but knows it’s his time. He approaches Stonestar, and is honored for his service. The next moon, Sapsplash follows suite.

Cliffleaf has noticed herself slowing down, and she retires to the elders.

Ravendapple has secretly had a litter of 3 kits. She names them Creekkit (male), Ashenkit (female), and Coalkit (female). Later, she and Hazelshine become mates, bonding over their lost loved ones.

Lightpaw and Icepaw are apprenticed to Honeyfur and Brookfreckle respectively.

Leafbare

After wandering out into the territory, Rosepelt was later found dead. The Clan mourns her.

Pinepeak and Jayshade had an affair, giving birth to a single kitten they name her Owlkit.

Pearlight brought a litter of 2 kits back to camp. She says she found them abandoned, possibly by a rogue or kittypet. She names them Turtlekit and Troutkit.

Robinchaser and Bumblebuzz return to camp with a litter of 2 kits. They name them Cedarkit and Thistlekit.

Foxpaw, Erminepaw, and Apricotpaw are apprenticed to Salmontail, Bluebloosom, and Gulltail.

Cliffleaf has decided to use her skills to become the Clan’s newest mediator.

Flamedance happily retires to the elders’ den.

Although excited to become an apprentice, it takes Birchkit a lot of coaxing from Mistshard before she’s able to touch noses with her new mentor Oatmeadow.

Brookfreckle watches with pride as Larchpaw is named and given to Shineheart to apprentice under.

Newleaf

Tempestclaw announces she is expecting kits.

Covestripe was washed out to sea and never seen again.

Rosepelt knows she will always love Frogleap, but has decided to move on for now. She knows they’ll meet again in StarClan.

Although she was certain she would have a large litter, Tempestclaw gives birth to a single kitten she names Snakekit (male). Despite the small litter, she’s so glad she and Talonfoot can welcome another cat into their family.

An injured warrior from BurdockClan named Mouserunner asks to join the Clan in exchange for healing. It’s revealed a new, tyrannical leader had taken over BurdockClan, and many cats had left.

Stoatcrest announces that she is expecting kits.

Greenleaf

Fireclaw knows she will always love Covestripe, but has decided to move on.

Mossheart has chosen to use his skills and experience to help solve Clan disagreements. A meeting is called, and he is named the Clan’s newest mediator.

Stoatcrest and Flamedance secretly had a single kitten. She names the kit Budkit.

Aphidwing, Leafpelt, and Windleap are named the Clan’s newest warriors.

The next moon, Gullpaw and Elmpaw receive their warrior names. They have been named Gulltail and Elmclaw.

Frostkit and Spicekit reach the age of six moons, and are ready to begin training. They are apprenticed to Lilacwillow and Jayshade respectively.

Leaf-fall

Hyacinthbloom disappears for a few days, before turning with a nylon collar. He announces that he knows what happened to Gorsetuft, as that’s what almost happened to him.

Lichenheart and Tempestclaw die from greencough.

Pinepeak requests to join the elders.

Snakepaw smiles up at the stars as he sits beside his mentor Sootwhisker. The stars seem to shine brighter, and Snakepaw knows Tempestclaw is still watching over him.

While swimming, Rowanshine and Talonfoot drowned in the river. In StarClan, Talonfoot reunites with Tempestclaw.

Leafbare

Yewflower wandered out of the territory and was later found dead. The same moon, Rainshell dies from greencough.

Bumblebuzz and Robinchaser have become mates.

Budpaw is apprenticed to Sapsplash.

Blueblossom retires peacefully to the elder’s den.

Doveleaf was found dead near the BurdockClan border.

Frostshine and Spicewhisker receive their warrior names.

In their older age, Cherrythorn and Graythorn have become mates.

Newleaf

Saplingwhisper traveled to BurdockClan to resolve recent border disputes. It goes well, and he thinks he knows how to resolve the issue for good.

After sneaking out of camp, Gorsepaw is kidnapped by twolegs. The Clan searches for her, but is unable to find her.

A rogue brings her kit named Lizard to the Clan, stating she can no longer care for her.

Pumpkintail has announced she is expecting kits.

Silkpaw is apprenticed to Robinchaser. Meanwhile, Hyacinthpaw decides hunting and fighting isn’t the way to provide for the Clan. He decides to become a medicine cat, and Patchbriar proudly becomes his mentor.

Greenleaf

Pinepeak announced she is expecting kits.

Lizardpaw is apprenticed to Saplingwhisper as the Clan’s future mediator.

In the nursery, Pumpkintail and Mossheart welcome a litter of three kittens. They name them Aphidkit (male), Leafkit (male), and Windkit (female).

Ospreywing, Nettleclaw, and Burrheart receive their warrior names. However, they cannot enjoy the occasion as their sister Gorsepaw is not there to earn it with them. In a sort of posthumous ceremony, Stonestar names Gorsepaw Gorsetuft, hoping she will one day return to them.

Pinepeak and Sootwhisker welcome a litter of two kits. They name them Gullkit (female), and Elmkit (female).

Leaf-fall

Stonestar considers retiring.

Leafkit and Gullkit sneak out of the camp together to explore and get scraped up. Even after they get scolded, they feel proud of their adventures.

Chirpfleck and Frogleap die of yellowcough.

Mistshard retires to the elders.

LotusClan welcomes Silksight as a new warrior. At the same time, they also welcome Hyacinthbloom as the newest medicine cat.

Leafbare

Flowerwhisker rescued Leafkit from a snake, but was bitten and killed in the process.

Hazelshine announces that she is expecting kits.

For many moons, Cherrythorn has continuously been seen meeting with a cat outside of the Clan. No one can tell whether it’s a Clan cat or someone else, but those who see him continue to hide it.

Lizardpaw is named Lizardtail, the Clan’s newest mediator.

Flamedance and Sapsplash have confessed their feelings for each other and become mates.

After catching a sickness, Gorsetuft dies in her sleep. Although worried she won’t reach StarClan even so far away, she sees starry cats on the other side and is welcomed into StarClan. Although she knows she won’t see her family for what will hopefully be a long time, she knows she will be there waiting.

Aphidpaw, Leafpaw, and Windpaw are apprenticed to Sleetstripe, Sapsplash, and Strikewhisker respectively.

In the nursery, Hazelshine and Sharpleaf welcome a litter of two kits. They name them Frostkit (female) and Spicekit (male).

Gullpaw and Elmpaw are apprenticed to Sootwhisker and Rowanshine respectively.

Dawnwatcher and Hornetsting had a single kitten. They name her Lilackit.

Snailfur went missing, and was later found dead.

Flowerwhisker has been looking forward to many moons of rest in the elders’ den. He approaches Stonestar, and happily retires.

Greenleaf

While on patrol, Duskdash was attacked by a rogue. He later died from his infected wounds.

Oatpaw and Sorrelpaw are apprenticed to Sapstorm and Cliffleaf respectively.

During a training session, Salmontail, Echostripe, and Brookfreckle all slip from a rock and hurt their legs in different ways. Fawnburr worries about the health of the Clan, especially as he, Quailwatcher, and Hornetsting are growing old. They fear Flutterfeather won’t be able to keep up.

Shineheart and Oakstripe receive their warrior names. The Clan rejoices.

Leaf-fall

Fawnburr will always love Snailfur, but has decided to move on for now.

Lilacpaw is apprenticed to Yewflower.

Flowerwhisker has confessed his feelings to Sandbright and they have become mates.

Tempestclaw wishes to join the elders. However, before she does so, she announces she is expecting kits.

Quailwatcher was poisoned by a sea creature while trying to gather herbs and has passed away.

Leafbare

Mistlebreeze and Pheasantsplash are killed by a band of rogues. Rushfall and their kits mourn the loss, and the Clan worries about their lack of an experienced mediator.

In the nursery, Tempestclaw gives birth to three kittens: Tuftkit (female), Patchkit (female), and Featherkit (male).

Oatpaw and Sorrelpaw receive their warrior names of Oatmeadow and Sorrelheather.

Rushfall saved a LarchClan kit from a snake, but was bitten in the process. The venom unfortunately killed her.

Newleaf

Dawnwatcher has been resistant to retiring, but the aches and pains of old age have worn her down. She approaches Stonestar, and is honored for her tireless service.

Mosspaw is nearly late for his ceremony, but Stonestar names him Mossheart for his graceful and open heart. Rowanpaw is named Rowanshine for her bright golden pelt. Sappaw is named Sapstorm for her shamelessly ambitious personality.

Flutterpaw has been taken to the Mooncliffs by Hornetsting to receive her medicine cat name. She is soon called Flutterfeather.

Pearlight travels to BurdockClan to resolve some recent personal disputes. However, no progress was made.

The Clan cheers for the newest warriors: Duskdash and Sleetstripe.

Cicadapaw is made into an apprentice, mentored by Saplingwhisper.

Mistlebreeze and Pearlight travel to LarchClan and JayClan respectively to settle hunting disputes. Mistlebreeze manages to fix the issue, but Pearlight seems to have made the issues worse.

Pumpkintail announces she is expecting kits, and joins the nursery. She has no mate, and the Clan is suspicious.

Pumpkintail welcomes two new kits to the world: Shinekit and Oakkit, both toms. The kits look surprisingly like Mossheart, and the two announce their intentions to become mates.

Leaf-fall

Mothtail has died from infected wounds. The Clan mourns.

Rootburst got her stuck in a Twoleg trap, and was heavily injured.

Ravendapple has announced she is expecting kits. With whom, the Clan doesn’t know.

Whisperriver was taking a peaceful stroll outside of camp to gather some herbs alone, when he was attacked and killed by a dog. Although the Clan mourns, he reunites with his mate Tansyspark in StarClan.

The Clan welcomes Cicadawing as a new warrior.

Leafbare

Dawnwatcher was out taking a walk when she saw Strikewhisker being attacked by an enemy warrior. She helps Strikewhisker escape, but not before gaining many wounds. They return to camp and inform Stonestar about the decision, for it was a LarchClan warrior who attacked them.

Frogleap has been resistant to retiring, however, he decides it is time, for he is growing weaker. He approaches Stonestar, who honors his tireless service.

Ravendapple has given birth to a litter of 3 kits: Crowkit (female), Oatkit (male), and Sorrelkit (female). She confides in Stonestar that they are half-Clan, as their father was from LarchClan.

Dawnwatcher has announced she is expecting kits.

Mistlebreeze travels to LarchClan in hopes of finding out who the father of Ravendapple’s kits is. However, she has only made LarchClan upset.

Shinepaw and Oakpaw are apprenticed to Cicadawing and Fireclaw respectively.

Crowkit has died from kittencough. Ravendapple is inconsolable, almost to the point of her abandoning her other kits. In her depression, she steps down as deputy.

Stonestar chooses Fireclaw as the new deputy, but the Clan does not know if she is good for the role, due to her being so young.

Mistlebreeze and Rushfall have become mates.

While on patrol, Saplingwhisper was washed into the sea. Tulipfur leaped in to save him, but was unfortunately washed out into the sea and drowned.

Drizzledapple returned to camp with a litter of 3 kits (Amberkit, Pinekit, and Bluekit, all female). Alongside him is a loner named Chirp. He announces he and Chirp were mates, and the kits were his. Swiftstar welcomes them with open paws, and gives the loner the name Chirpfleck.

A moon later, Rainshell brings a litter of 4 kits back to camp. He names them Cliffkit (female), Graykit (male), Jaykit (male), and Hootkit (male). When the Clan asks him where they came from, he announces that a JayClan queen was killed by a fox and he found her while she was dying, and took them in. While Swiftstar doesn’t want a war with JayClan, he goes to meet with their leader. However, the kits’ mother had mated with a BurdockClan cat, and neither Clan wanted them, so LotusClan keeps them.

Sootpaw and Sappaw have reached the age of six moons, and are made apprentices. They are mentored by Rushfall and Rootburst respectively.

Raccoontooth knows he will always love Beaverheart, but he has decided to move on.

Greenleaf

Lilackite has decided it is finally time for her to retire. Smokesplash isn’t ready, but Lilackite waits.

A hawk attacks the camp. Apricotclaw saves Sparrowflight from the hawk, but is injured.

A young rogue waits on the border. His name is Frog, and he asks to join the Clan. It’s revealed that he once had an affair with a BurdockClan cat, and that he was trying to find somewhere to live. Swiftstar welcomes him, but the Clan is wary.

Leaf-fall

Apricotclaw, Sneezefeather, and Pouncesight have all been very resistant to retiring. However, Swiftstar approaches them and tells them the Clan would not think less of them for retiring. They decide its finally time, and join the elders.

A kittypet named Dorothy asks to join the Clan. Swiftstar is open to welcoming him, but the Clan is beginning to grow weary of all the outsiders that have joined as of late. However, it is revealed StarClan sent the kittypet to join him. Swiftstar gives the kittypet the name Hornetsting, and he becomes a medicine cat.

Sootpaw and Sappaw earn their warrior names of Sootwhisker and Sapsplash respectively.

Meanwhile, Amberpaw, Pinepaw, Bluepaw, Cliffpaw, Graypaw, Jaypaw, and Hootpaw are all apprenticed to Rainshell, Sootwhisker, Pheasantsplash, Serpentstripe, Ridgeheather, and Snailfur respectively.

Chirpfleck announces that she and Drizzledapple are expecting kits.

Leafbare

In the quiet of the nursery, Chirpfleck and Drizzledapple welcome a litter of 3 kits: Ravenkit (female), Pearkit (male), and Copperkit (male).

Mistlebreeze travels to LarchClan and JayClan to resolve border disputes between the two.

Swiftstar calls a meeting to honor Minnowstripe’s service to the Clan. He retires peacefully to the elders' den.

Talonfoot and Tempestclaw have become mates.

Greenleaf

Flowerwhisker and Snailfur were caught playing with a kittypet. They are berated by Swiftstar, who worries about his leadership.

Hazelkit, Antlerkit, and Ridgekit are apprenticed to Larksight, Goldfur, and Sneezefeather respectively.

Right after beginning training, Sneezefeather announces she is expecting kits.

Beaverheart was bitten by a snake who tried to attack the new apprentices. However, the medicine cats couldn’t save her, and she succumbed to the venom.

Sneezefeather gives birth to a litter of two kits: Sootkit and Sapkit.

Antlerpaw was bitten by the same snake that killed Beaverheart.

Leafbare

Hazelpaw steps forward and is named Hazelshine in honor of her brother Antlerpaw. She wishes he could have been there to earn their warrior names together.

Ridgepaw receives his warrior name of Ridgeheather. He tries to comfort Hazelshine, and she is grateful for him.

Larksight was washed out to sea and never seen again. The Clan searched tirelessly for her, but to no avail. Hazelshine is horrified.

Rosepelt and Willowstripe save Smokesplash and Cressfern from a hawk, but are injured.

Tansyspark watches with pride as Saplingpaw is named and given to Rushfall to mentor under.

Greenleaf

On his first journey as a mediator, Mistlebreeze resolves some recent border disputes with BurdockClan.

Quailwatcher believes she is meant for something greater. As such, she changes her position to a medicine cat, believing that’s her new destiny.

Tigerpounce watches with much pride as Lichenpaw earns his warrior name of Lichenheart. She knows her training has made him into a great warrior.

Rosepaw is named Rosepelt, and he knows all four of his grandparents are watching him from StarClan. He misses them dearly, but knows it’s time for him to move on.

Needlepaw, Cresspaw, Pheasantpaw, and Mistpaw are almost late for their ceremonies due to them sneaking out of camp. Swiftstar almost stops them from becoming warriors because of it, but Whisperriver convinces him to. They are named Needleleap, Cressfern, Pheasantsplash, and Mistshard. Their parents can’t believe how far they’ve come.

Leaf-fall

Needleleap was loitering around LarchClan’s border, looking for a specific cat. As such, the leader of JayClan has declared war on LotusClan.

Sneezefeather has announced that she is announcing kits. The Clan is overjoyed, as new blood will mean well.

Swiftstar gives Saplingpaw the name Saplingwhisper, and he can swear he sees Guststar and Cloverpeak cheering him on.

Frondshade and Tigerpounce both die of greencough. While on his deathbed, Frondshade admits he was still talking to Beamleap after the latter’s exile. He feels terrible for betraying his Clan, but Swiftstar reassures him that he is forgiven.

Leafbare

Raccoontooth and Snappelt both retire to the elder’s den. They’d been working hard, but it was time. The Clan thanks them for their service.

Purring with Chivepatch next to her, Sneezefeather welcomes a litter of two kittens: Hazelnut (she-cat) and Antlerkit (tom).

The Clan noticed that Guststar’s health had been declining. One day, when Fawnburr went in to check on him, he found Guststar dead. She had lost all of her remaining lives and traveled to StarClan.

Swiftheart has been promoted to leader, and has received his nine lives. Although he doesn’t feel ready for this new responsibility, he knows it will be his job to care for the Clan. He chooses Whisperriver as his new deputy.

Abyssclaw was washed out to sea and never seen again. Beamleap believes this is a bad omen for Swiftstar’s leadership, and starts a crusade against outsiders. He is joined by Pouncesight, Drizzledapple, and Rushfall.

Sneezefeather and Chivepatch welcome a litter of four kits. They name them Tempestkit (she-cat), Yewkit (tom), Rainkit (tom), and Willowkit (tom).

Frondshade has decided the Clan could use his skills for mediating. Silkstar calls a meeting and names him the newest mediator.

After a long time of hurt, Raccoontooth and Beaverheart become mates.

Greenleaf

Minnowstripe and Swiftstar announce they are expecting kits. The Clan is unhappy with Swiftstar being unable to lead, but are glad Whisperriver is stepping up to lead in his absence.

During Whisperriver’s temporary leadership, Beamleap approaches and tells him that he is the rightful leader of LotusClan, due to the fact his mother was the former leader. Whisperriver, although he does crave leadership, does not want to usurp Swiftstar.

Pouncesight and Apricotclaw become mates.

Snailpaw and Talonpaw become warriors named Snailfur and Talonfoot respectively.

Rosemaryfur dies trying to save Mistlebreeze from a fire. The Clan mourns him.

Tansyspark announces that she is expecting kits, although the Clan does not know who the father is.

Beaverheart and Raccoontooth meet over the birth of their new kits. Starlingkit (female), Lichenkit (male), and Rosekit (female).

Swiftstar gives birth to four kits. Needlekit (male), Cresskit (female), Pheasantkit (female), and Mistkit (male).

Tempestpaw is apprenticed to Dawnwatcher, Yewkit is apprenticed to Apricotclaw, Rainkit is apprenticed to Serpentstripe, and Willowpaw is apprenticed to Mothtail.

Starlingkit and Shiningtuft both die of yellowcough.

Tansyspark gives birth to a single tom-kit who looks suspiciously like Raccoontooth.

During the Clan’s mourning period, Beamleap decides it is the perfect time to attack. He tries to kill Swiftstar. The group he created doesn’t help him, as they realize their actions were bad. However, Beamleap had a group of BurdockClan cats also attempt to kill Swiftstar. Beamleap is chased off by Serpentstripe, but one of the rogues also kills Cloverpeak. Beamleap has been exiled.

Lichenpaw and Rosepaw are apprenticed to Tigerpounce and Flowerwhisker respectively.

Dawnpaw purrs with pride as she feels the joy of her Clanmates wash over her. Guststar looks down on her, purring, as she names her Dawnwatcher.

Beaverheart knows she will always love Spotjay, but has decided it is time for her to move on.

Leaf-fall

Sneezefeather is caught by Goldfur and Beamleap touching noses with a rogue. Sneezefeather denies it, claiming it was just an old friend of hers.

Shiningtuft announces that she and Rosemaryfur are expecting kits again. The Clan is excited, but worries due to her older age.

While gathering herbs, Applecall was swept out to sea. Sedgeswoop leaped in and managed to save her, but was swept out to sea and drowned.

Guststar proudly calls a Clan meeting to honor Cloverpeak’s service to the Clan. He retires peacefully to the elders' den.

In the nursery, Shiningtuft and Rosemaryfur welcome a single tom-kit who they name Flowerkit.

While on patrol, Minnowstripe and Swiftheart find a young rogue tom who asks to join their Clan. His name is Chive, and once they bring him back, they learn this is the rogue Sneezefeather was caught touching noses with. It’s revealed that Chive, now known as Chivepatch and Sneezefeather are mates.

Doefoot was poisoned by a sea creature and died.

Newleaf

Snappelt gives birth to four kittens (a female named Rushkit, a female named Quailkit, a male named Frondkit, and a male named Breezekit). Most of them look suspiciously like Sparrowflight. Snappelt and Sparrowflight announce that they have been mates the entire time.

Rumors reach the Clan that the loner Silent has died recently. Abyssclaw seems very distraught, and she announces that Silent was the father of her kits.

Greenleaf

Minnowstripe brings a single kitten named Dawnkit back to camp. When the Clan is reasonably suspicious, Minnowstripe announces he had been in a relationship with a BurdockClan cat. Shortly thereafter, Swiftheart announces he will always stand by Minnowstripe’s side, and they become mates.

Although excited to become an apprentice, it takes a lot of coaxing before Mistlekit is able to touch noses with his mentor Tansyspark.

Fawnpaw decides to become a medicine cat apprentice. Echoburr is excited to mentor her son.

Echoburr watches with pride as Rootpaw is named and given to Minnowstripe to train under. She knows Minnowstripe was a good choice.

Sandpaw can’t sit still as he touches noses with his mentor Cloverpeak.

Lilackite and Smokesplash have seen each other in a different light, and now have become mates.

Alderfern was found stiff and curled up in her nest. The Clan holds a ceremony for her, hoping she is welcome in StarClan.

Guststar lost a life defending Sedgeswoop from a fox.

Serpentkit and Drizzlekit are apprenticed to Swiftheart and Tigerpounce respectively.

Leaf-fall

Rushpaw is eager to touch noses with their new mentor Lilackite.

Quailkit is excited to be called Quailpaw for the first time, her parents cheering her name loudly as she touches noses with Spotjay.

Frondpaw sits excitedly next to Whisperriver, their mentor, as the meeting ends. They hope to do something exciting like battle training. Meanwhile, Breezepaw touches noses with Beamleap and hopes they’ll be able to hunt first.

Shiningtuft does not wish to retire, but she knows it’s her time. She approaches Guststar, and they hold a ceremony for her tireless service to the Clan.

While rescuing Apricotclaw from a fire, Echoburr dies from smoke inhalation.

Minnowstripe watches with pride as Dawnpaw is named and given to Halfpeak to apprentice under.

Leafbare

A bad case of greencough strikes, killing Breezepaw and Perchtooth. The clan mourns.

At his warrior ceremony, Mistlepaw requests to be called Mistlebreeze in honor of his friend.

Applecall names Fawnpaw Fawnburr in honor of his mother. Fawnburr takes the name in stride, promising to live up to his mother’s name.

Minnowstripe puffs out her chest in pride as Rootpaw is named Rootburst. She can’t wait to see what kind of warrior she shall become.

Guststar declares Sandpaw a warrior, naming him Sandbright.

Spotjay and Strikeheart both die of greencough. Beaverheart is heartbroken. Quailpaw’s training is taken over by Raccoontooth.

Guststar has been following the training of Serpentpaw and Drizzlepaw closely, and decides it’s time to give them their warrior names. She names them Serpentstripe and Drizzledapple.
