replayed radical dreamers last night for the upteenth time and somehow got a random goblin encounter that I have never seen before despite having played this game yearly since 2014. anyway Magil beat the shit out of them with his bare hands and I could not stop thinking about it.
A Schala (and Alfador) redraw, 2001 to 2022. I did the original in a single sitting, and though I used better materials for the redraw, I wanted to recreate that feeling.
I remember being so darn proud of that glove thing.
I get that Luke is desperate to change the status quo, but like, the gods gave their kids cabins. Kronos cabin is his stomach. I just don't think that Luke has thought this through.
Akira Toriyama - Creator/Writer/Artist on Dragon Ball and Sand Land and Dr. Slump, Artist for Dragon Quest and Chrono Trigger and Blue Dragon - Dies at 68
I know everybody's talking about it, but I feel like everyone is focusing 100% on how he was the Dragon Ball guy. And while that's undoubtedly his most famous work, I'd say that he had many famous works. He designed all of the Dragon Quest series' characters, which is probably his second-biggest contribution to culture. He also created/designed both characters and settings for the seminal RPG Chrono Trigger, designed the characters for the Tobal series of fighting games, designed all characers for the Blue Dragon series, and wrote/drew NUMEROUS other manga, with his second-most-famous probably being either Sand Land or Dr. Slump. You can get a better look at his entire oeuvre here.
I was legitimately stunned when the news broke. It always felt like he'd keep going forever, y'know?
i really think there’s so much untapped potential with messing around with the pjo gods canonically having different regional/historical/epithet forms and near constantly existing in multiple places at once. mostly in that I think it’d be extremely funny for more demigods to interact with different historical versions of the gods.
give me Nico interacting with Mycenaean Dionysus who both is and isn’t his dad and also is his therapist. All at once. weirdest therapy sessions ever. or Percy interacting with Mycenaean Poseidon and being confused why this version of his dad is both king of the gods and also a chthonic deity. or Hermes kids and satyrs having the very awkward situation of super old Hermes and Pan are the same guy. The gang meets Zagreus and Everybody Has A Weird One cause this guy both is and isn’t Zeus, Hades, and Dionysus, and/or some combo of their kids? What.
Since I have seen some people confused about it, I make this post to clarify the gender of Nanae Chrono, the mangaka of Peacemaker Kurogane.
For many years, we read by articles and manga editions that Nanae Chrono was a woman, however, in late 2021 after making a Twitter account, Chrono came out as a trans man and literally put on his bio "FTM". Because he broke those news on Twitter and he's not that popular of a mangaka (sadly) many people are unaware of this fact and so continue to refer to him as "she/her" even in Japanese articles, but the truth is that he identifies as male and thus we started to refer to him in this blog as "he/him", although he hasn't said on Twitter what pronouns he prefers in English.
You can check his Twitter here (although warning he often RTs NSFW art) and see his bio to check it out!
I'm just going to lump Kronos and Chronos together. I think they were seperate deities originally, but I will lump them together regardless. You know why? Well for one thing, Rick Riordan already lumped them together. But for another thing, Kronos having Chronos's powers makes him even more evil. He's the controller of time. So whenever time is stressing me out or making me scared/sad/depressed, I can blame Kronos. And it certainly makes it easy to hate him. Much easier.
Who knows maybe Akina will reach Aichi’s level 😅? I mean his punch in the first episode is probably proves that he’s unironically stronger than magical girl Emi🤣. So, far Aichi remains the most busted.
