Hi!! I really enjoyed your fic Chances and this sounds a bit silly but it actually helped me realize that I'm semi-verbal. I never really had a label for it or even had any idea that was autistic until about half a year ago, but as I was reading, I realized that what Vegeta was experiencing was similar to my own experiences. Whenever I was overstimulated or tired or just whenever without any real 'reason', it would be difficult to talk and almost painful to try and get words out. I honestly thought I was completely alone with this experience and never really even tried to look into it, it was only until I came across your fic that something like this was introduced to me. It also helped me figure some things out and get a better idea of them, like getting 'stuck' and the whole having to go through a process for very 'simple' things. Your fic has genuinely changed my life for the better and I just wanted to tell you that. Also your writing in general is delightful and I love how clearly of an image I can get in my head when you write a scene. So thank you!!! I look forward to more of your work and I hope your day is lovely, sorry for this long, rambling ask.

It doesn't sound silly at all. I'm almost 30 and had no idea there was anything between fully speaking and nonspeaking until like 2 years ago! I know how frustrating all of it can be, but I'm glad that the story resonated with you on that level 💙

I originally wrote the story for myself, as a way to journal my experiences. But my best buddy encouraged me to share it, in hopes that other people would relate. And I realized once I figured out how to word things, it helped me reach out to other people and connect on other neurodivergent things!

And that means the world to me to hear about the vividness of it, because my neurodivergent brain has a hard time paying attention to a story if l'm not told "where to look" or what to pay attention to, so I try to guide my stories through the characters attention and what they're seeing/sensing 😁

i may or may not be planning a fic where one of the many subplots is that Jason (as Red Hood, but Danny already knows) is following/investigating Danny because he thinks Danny’s dangerous somehow. I won’t go into the details because it’s so much, but point is i have a silly little scene in my head wherein Danny goes out to work on a uni group project with Tim, and on their way to the cafe some asshole car hits a guy on a motorcycle. The Biker goes into a rage and starts cursing him out, takes off his helmet and lo and behold it’s Jason.

Mid-verbal fight with the asshole he catches sight of Tim (recording the whole thing and waving at Jason) and of Danny (potential danger he’s been investigating for nearly two weeks), and Jason gives the asshole a “this isn’t over” threat and dips. Then,

Tim, who noticed Danny’s reaction: You know that guy?

Danny: Oh, yeah, that’s my stalker. You?

Tim: Nemesis. I’m sorry he’s your what?

Bonus:

Tim texting Jason: are you stalking my classmate??

Jason: Mind your own business, Replacement.

Jason: Wait, did he tell you that?

Tim: yah

Jason: RH’s been investigating him. Why the FUCK does your “classmate” think it’s me?
