Visions of Flesh and Blood ARC Review

Visions of Flesh and Blood is a comprehensive encyclopedia of Jennifer L. Armentrout’s From Blood and Ash and Flesh and Fire series. Extensive backgrounds and attributes are given for each character in the universe along with exclusive content that includes a Tawny/Poppy chapter, Nyktos/Sera scene, and a lot more. If you’re someone who struggles to remember small details from previous books, this is the perfect compendium to brush up on your FBAA knowledge! No new information is added, though, so don’t feel pressure to read this to understand future books.

Some of my favorite pieces include the afformentioned Nyktos/Sera scene, a bloodlines tree visual, and a breakdown of the entire prophecy (incredibly helpful!) The compendium also includes chapters from Miss Willa’s diary, detailing her many escapades, but these parts fell flat for me because I didn’t have an emotional attachment to any of the characters. There was also a fourth-wall-breaking moment when JLA herself interviews Kieran under the guise of a reporter, but this, too, fell flat for me.

Overall, I highly recommend this to From Blood and Ash/Flesh and Fire superfans or those looking to brush up on their knowledge of the world before the next From Blood and Ash book arrives.

I just love our bookish society.

We are simply acting up as if characters of our books are real people and not just an imagination of authors. We discuss what characters could have think of before saying or doing something. We discuss their personal desires, wants and needs which were not described in a book. We discuss who are love interests or enemies of our characters. We can even have an argument with each other because some of us invent a whole different personality for a character.

I honestly can’t believe he did this. I trusted this primal and he stepped on my trust like it was nothing but I don’t this he did this willingly despite him doing it.

Attes is the primal accords, war and peace so I’m sure he knows that the destruction that Kolis will bring to the lands.

Ash also mention that he likes 3 things and two of those was peace and war, so I’m sure he knows that there is a time for war that is inevitable and peace. Attes also mentions that he remembers Ash’s dad so he has to know that Kolis is a false king and really the true primal of death.

He has to know that I’d Kolis succeeds that everything in the land is lost and a war like that they’d never recover unless he has the same fucked up beliefs as the false king, which I’m a little hesitant to believe because he seemed too stumped as Sera and Ash when Dyses walked back into the room like Ash didn’t perform open heart surgery on him a few minutes ago.

So my theory is blackmail, like a Malik, Millicent and Isbeth situation only it’s Attes, Kyn and Kolis. Kolis is has something on his brother. That’s the only thing I can come up with.

The other thing is Sera is fucked and I should not trust warrior gods with dimples and a sassy streak.
