Today I'm thinking a lot about Andrew's parallels, sorry (no).

But Andrew refusing to try something with Kevin, despite being atracted to him, and instead deciding he prefer to help him heal (in his way) and protecting him, in my head is so similar to Renee feeling things about Jean but knowing a romantic relationship wasn't the best for him at that moment and just staying with him and caring, even in the distance.

AND

Andrew waiting for Neil to start something with him, making sure to respect that he said he didn't swing, and himself being ready, prioritising knowing the real Neil and his safety is the same as what Jeremy is doing with Jean in TSC. He is not thinking of himself and his atraction first, but seeing this poor and clearly broken boy that he doesn't know (but wants to) and wanting to help him heal before doing something, respecting boundaries and all...

The only books I couldn't find on the fair were the AFTG books and I'm so mad at that!! Like not because I wanted to buy them (I bought the kindle of all of them and as I read them in english I want the paperbacks in english as well) but because there's a lot of people missing this marvellous state of brainrot.

The stand had all the other books from that publisher but not the AFTG ones.

I'm bored so I wanna share some Kevjean (Kerejean?) scenario I just imagine while I ignored my italian class:

Jean sending Kevin a picture with Jeremy just so he gets so mad jelous he flies to California and knocks at his door. Jeremy opens and is happily baffled to see Kevin, but he ignores him and barges right into Jeans dorm to kiss him senseless.

Jeremy had run to the bedroom because he thought that Kevin was gonna kill Jean but when he saw them he froze at the door and STARED hungrily at how Kevin had cornered Jean to the closet. The two boys dishevelled, lips bruised and plump, fighting to dominate the kiss and both failing to do so as they melt into eachother.

No hate bcs I totally agree with the original post, but the books are setted in 2007 and it wasn't a lot of thinking or information on the topic at that moment.

People didn't talk about it (the big movements started to gain real traction like 10 yrs ago, less if you live in more conservative areas) and there was a lot of people out there praising teens for being "so mature they banged a 20 yr". Sleeping with different people (even if it was consensual and in an enviroment like college) was very frown upon.

Lots of people gave their backs to this types of abuse (like Zane literally did) and the victim's stories weren't heard as easily.

Nowadays is less common to do that, and there's a very big part of society that reacts as Jeremy and the Trojans did, but I think the way the characters react is very accurate to the time they were living.

Maybe because SA is the focus in my writing class rn, but something frustrates me so much about the perception of others of Jean’s SA by the ravens. “Fucked the whole defense line”…..at 16???? Also JUST got to the part of the Thea/jean conversation and realized she’s the one that said that quote and now I’m angry at her again💀the abuser bias is real. also Jean accepting the rumors rather than others knowing the reality of the situation sorry I gotta go lie down man this is too much
