Jonny has a surprising amount of kazoos as backup in case someone steals his harmonica. This is more of a deterrent from people stealing his harmonica, since kazoo is much worse. One of the others once called him “Captain Kazoo”, a name he embraced because they were actually calling him captain, but for that reason, the nickname was quickly abandoned by the crew.

Thinking again about the future Interschool Spelldrive competition, what if we get a second boot camp (it almost worked on Book 5, damn you Rook).

This time, things would be a bit more hectic, though.

Assuming the team would consist of all the overblotters + Grim, here's some headcanons:

- After a lot of arguing, they agree to name Vil the leader, with Leona acting as the coach and captain;

- To make things easier, they establish a few rules, only to remember Riddle is there. They settle for "No fighting or it's Off With Your Head for a day";

- Vil creates a skincare routine for everyone;

- Malleus and Leona are constantly bickering;

- There was an attempt to enforce a diet (it was just a ban on Idia's instant noodles), but Riddle got offended and we got this exchange:

Riddle: As you can see, I already follow a strict diet, so no need to worry!

Vil: That's way too unhealthy, you're starving yourself! You need more nutrients!

Yuu: Soooo, is this plus the overblot enough to call the CPS on Riddle's mom already? And revoke her license while we're at it?

Grim: Man, everytime we think we've seen the worst of her, Mrs. Rosehearts just finds a new way to show how she sucks at parenting...

Everyone: WHAT THE ACTUA-

Riddle: MOVING ON!!

(Azul also wanted to say a few things on the diet part, but Leona cut him off with a pointed look and a "You're fine, octopunk, remember, don't let the opinions of a bunch of jerks control you! Be yourself and be healthy!")

- They dealt with the Mrs. Rosehearts problem as soon as possible to avoid a murder on the day of the game;

- They wake up early for practice! Idia and Leona have to be dragged out of their beds. The others started a game over who could wake these two the fastest (Vil brough an orchestra while Yuu brought Adeuce and a kazoo, Jamil won) ;

- I sincerely don't know where Azul or Idia would be on the team due to their low stamina and hatred of brooms. Right now it's Riddle, Jamil and Vil on brooms, Leona and Malleus on the ground. Maybe Idia on the ground while Azul goes through his character arc and flies;

- Game nights for team building. Don't let them play Uno or Monopoly. Jamil is killing it on DDR though;

- To teach them the importance (and how to skirt the rules) Leona created a game where people have to break a rule and not get caught by the referee (Riddle). If you can escape his notice, you're fine;

- They exchange Spelldrive tactics, though most moves are familiar to the rest, Heartslabyul's "Throw the disk and the player into the goal" was new (it was inspired by the chandelier incident);

- Vil is designing a new NRC outfit (team spirit requires a good team outfit);

- They may or may not find a hidden catacomb in Ramshackle;

- Jamil has finally known peace, he just needs a set of headphones;

- Breakfast time includes a lot of yelling. Riddle can be seen drinking tea with the ghosts on the ceiling, trying to avoid the chaos. Malleus sometimes joins the group;

The rest of the cast pays them regular visits to make sure nobody died yet.

Switched roles AU: Navy captain Kazuha + travelling mercenary Beidou

Fugitive Kazuha is captured by the Shogun’s forces and serves time as firstly, a prisoner of Inazuma’s thunderous seas and secondly, to monitor the coasts for any unauthorized travelers. He cuts his hair and rises the ranks to become the naval captain of his own ship, Captain Manyou of the Gusting Gale. 

After a major storm that decimates the Crux, Beidou ends up near the coasts of Inazuma. She is rescued by the naval captain and temporarily joins him before she begins her journey to find survivors of her own crew. As a mercenary, she gathers her victories and funds for travel from bounties. 

More notes because I’m a kazoo simp and baedou is my SEA QUEEN: 

Both Beidou and Kazuha carry their original elemental visions and original weapons (ex. Beidou still carries an electro vision and wields a claymore).

The major storm that decimates the Crux was the battle of Osial.

Of the two, Beidou is still better at sailing than Kazuha having longer experience as a pirate. 

She keeps her hair in a ponytail-bun to fight without much hair in her face.

Initially Kazuha becomes a sea laborer and sailor in exchange for keeping his vision. This is meant to be a life and death sentence in itself considering the treacherous seas of Inazuma, riddled with broken ships. With his keen sense of the winds, he has been able to survive the sea storms longer than anyone has expected.  

Pressure from the commissions leads Kazuha to change his identity to avoid rousing public eye. Kazuha or “万葉” can be read as “manyou”.

Kazuha still plans to change the Vision Hunt Decree, and he is biding his time. As captain, he also bends the rules and attempts to take Inazuman escapees into his crew if they choose. 

He wears more green over red to show that he has yet to break free from the Shogun’s control. This reflects how maple leaves are green before turning red in autumn, and his secret ambitions. In colour theory, green is a natural corrector to redness and the opposite of red. For aesthetic purposes, I used the leaves of Japanese black lace maple as inspiration:

Hello Captain! It's me, 0003 from the medical department. I seemed to have lost my way back to the ship, but don't worry, I'm alright. I took a little break at a coffeeshop and happened to overhear a conversation about these two interesting beings and their (certainly not anymore) naked-man friend. Out of pure curiosity, I discreetly followed them, you know, for research purposes, of course.

Anyway, I'm happy to report that I'm finally back on board. Just wanted to let you know that the medbay is now a temporarily a swimming pool, filled with tears (some of which may or may not have been mine). Here's a fun game: if you had to assign an Avatar the Last Airbender character to each of the MunchyMc peeps, who would they be?

While I did watch ATLA, my sisters are much bigger fans. So I had them help me out with this!

Bad: Iroh - He is incredibly strong but a bit of troll, which definitely fits Bad. He gives good life advice, and Bad is definitely someone Dream (and others I'm sure) sought out for advice in the past.

Dream: Aang - Aside from being the main character, Aang is kind and willing to give people second chances. Dream definitely fits that. Aang also refused to kill the Fire Lord because he didn't want to compromise his beliefs. I feel that Dream is the same.

Sapnap: Toph - This was a tough one, but we think it works. Both are tough, strong-headed, and will trash talk their opponents!

George: Sokka - They are memers. Both have their moments, but George is definitely the funny guy of the group. (Sokka is supposed to be the straight man, but he does end up being comedic relief.) But don't look down on them; they are both smart!

Skeppy: King Bumi - The biggest troll. Need we say more?

Sam: Piandao - The FireNation swordmaster that taught Zuko and Sokka. This is a bit of a stretch, but both are masters at their crafts and mentor figures (more in that Sam is always open to helping others out).

Hannah: Azula - Ignoring that she is a villain, Azula is extremely skilled, a perfectionist, and holds grudges. She is also ambitious, which is not a bad thing! I feel that Hannah is similar in these regards.

Sylvee: Suki - She is willing and eager to help out, fun to banter with, and someone good to have on your team! Suki also kicks ass. I think this fits with Sylvee pretty well.

Puffy: Ty Lee - Cheerful, energetic, and can be very silly! But when it comes down to it, she is caring and will risk her safety to help her friends. I think Ty Lee fits Puffy the best.

Kazoos Advent Calendar

Hi @kazoosandfannypacks! I’m sure you’re confused on what’s going on so let me explain. Last year you signed up for the Captain Swan gift exchange and I was your gifter but I unfortunately never delivered. And I have felt terrible about it ever since. So I decided this year I would give you one gift per day leading up to Christmas to make it up to you and to get the creative juices flowing again. I will be giving you a mix of everything you asked for and kinda stalked your page for more ideas.

So today is day

I noticed you were a fan of Tangled the series so I decided to do my best and draw Killian and Emma in that style. And well here it is along with the reference photos

I feel Killian turned out really well but I kept having difficulty with emma. No matter how much I adjusted her her proportions weren’t coming out right. But I did my best and I think they aren’t terrible to look at. Hope you enjoyed your first gift!

Also big thank you to @piinfeathers also used their art as reference and to remind me which hand Killians hook is. These are nowhere near her art and should not be compared. Her art in phenomenal.
