Tuktuk and her ikran headcanons

Because we hardly got to see these two and thought you guys would like details~

Tuk can be a bit excitable around her ikran, and at first it makes him jumpy and skittish. liable to dash for the security of a tall tree. Tuk usually doesn't mind, and when she's older, she goes hunting for his favourite meal to apologise. although, because this happens quite often, she usually out hunting.

because of the forced connection between Quaritch and the ikran, it takes a while for Tuk to establish a bond with him. which she understands, and is willing to take it slow. although like all moments of recovery, it sometimes takes two steps back, and Tuk can get upset thinking she's doing something wrong.

when they finally do bond, they discover that each are as mischievous and stubborn as the other. and the mischief they get up to is notorious.

unlike her siblings, Tuk likes learning new tricks with her companion, adding more spins, more loops and barrel rolls to her list. and often she will break formation when out for a squad flight. she usually drags Spider into it too when she can. and Neteyam, if he's not too grumpy.

they're not fast, because Tuk often doesn't want to push her companion more than she needs to. but she makes up for the lack of speed with precision, and with the amount of hunting she does, they become a fierce duo in the clouds.

when she's older, she agrees to spend some time with the Tayrangi clan to train further. mostly so that she can keep providing for herself and her loved ones, but to also be able to tease Lo'ak for not being the only sibling to leave the clan.
