PJO episode 4 spoilers
I love how the show is focusing more on the cruel manners of the gods and how they view "family" especially how that bleeds over into the demigods feeling they must earn love and care
like, annabeth has had to earn care from everyone in her life except luke (and probably Grover cause my mans wouldn't do that)
everyone in camp is so used to it that the motive for going on a quest isn't to save those you care about, to do it because you have to, or for an adventure, it's specifically to gain glory so that your parent and the kids at camp might respect you.
from what little we have seen of camp the kids there are messed up in the head about what they think of love and family, it's genuinely so sad
then in comes Percy who has a great relationship with his mom, who believes people shouldn't have to earn love and care, and he's so bewildered by everybody's attitude and everyone at camp keeps telling him that that's the way it is and he needs to get used to it and our boy is just like "not on my watch" I'll pry child support from the father's cold dead hands if I have to
i just cant -this show, THIS SHOW

Ok just finished the 3rd episode of the show. From a completely outside perspective without comparing it to the books, it’s a fine episode. The writing does fall flat imo, and it doesn’t keep my attention. It’s also still very hard to see what’s happening when it’s supposed to be dark. When will Hollywood let dark scenes be visible again?
Ok, now for more specific thoughts:
The scene with the Oracle sucked in my opinion. Idk it just seemed so much more grander in the book. The scene in the show lacked the mystic and off putting nature of the Oracle, so it kinda just didn’t work for me. I did like that they remembered that Gabe was the voice of the Oracle in tlt, so that was nice
How Percy chooses his quest mates in the show is different in the show than in the books. This isn’t a bad thing, but I do miss Annabeth volunteering herself to be Percy’s 3rd quest mate like she does in the books. Idk I just think it really showed her eagerness to prove herself and get a quest. The show scene doesn’t do that, but I’m not mad at the change
The interaction between Grover and Percy when Percy tells Grover he was chosen to go on the quest was so cute. I love those 2 boys. Besties for life
Percy telling Luke that he thinks the drachmas are from Chuck E. Cheese was hilarious
With Luke in mind, I love how manipulative he is. Like he is so nice, but it’s because he has ulterior motives. I do like that his manipulation is not overt, so you don’t know that he’s the one that ultimately betrays Percy
I personally didn’t find the “she met a pine cone’s fate” line that Percy said funny. It honestly came off kind of rude. It’s definitely something that Percy would say in ttc when Thalia and him are beefing, but not when he finds out about her death. Percy is supposed to be kind and empathetic, and he shows so much sympathy for Thalia and her fate when he hears her story in the book. Idk just felt like that line was ooc during this moment in time
Grover’s song was so cute and funny, it had me cracking up fr
Percy trying to get all of them to vote throughout the episode is hilarious. My boy just wants to have a say in things
Annabeth grabbing all that candy was perfect. It really shows she’s just a 12 year old girl that didn’t get to experience the joys of childhood (also, I feel like overall that the show is forgetting that Annabeth is not a stoic character. Like she very much acts her age. I hope the writers let Annabeth have more personality in later episodes)
I miss the book fight sequence with the furies on the bus. It was so chaotic and there was so much tension. Percy steering the bus and crashing it and the bus exploding was perfect, and I’m sad that they got rid of that in the show. The fight scene in the show was just so underwhelming. I feel like those should be the knock out moments of the episodes but they breeze past them so fast and give no tension. It just falls flat (curse you Mickey Mouse!! I know it’s your fault!)
I do appreciate that Grover keeps trying to diffuse the fights between Annabeth and Percy. They are both his friends, and he can see why they keep butting heads. If only the 2 would listen to him
I do miss how the trio finds Auntie Em’s in the book. Like Annabeth and Percy were dumbass 1 and 2 that followed their stomachs while Grover freaked the fuck out. That was so fun. The show had Grover find and follow the smell instead which is fine, but the og scene was better imo
That being said, they guessed that it was Medusa way too quickly in the show. I like the mystery of Auntie Em’s identity in the book better tbh
“I definitely trust my mom” <- Percy exceeds the momma’s boy standards
I don’t mind the change to Medusa’s character. I actually really enjoyed her (the actresses voice is so gorgeous and calming). I like how she’s like “we’re not our parents until we choose to be them.” It really sets up the ultimate direction of the series imo
Regarding the fight scene with Medusa, it sucked. To begin with, you can hardly see what’s happening bc it’s so dark. Also there was no tension or chaos. It kind of just happened? I also didn’t like that Medusa was killed when Annabeth’s cap was on her. I know it’s because Disney probably thought the death would have been too graphic or whatever, but I would have liked to see what happened
It was cool that Percy used Medusa’s head to kill Alecto
I felt so many emotions when Grover said “He’s not like the others. He doesn’t look afraid” about his Uncle Ferdinand
The beginnings of Percy’s and Annabeth’s friendship is so good. Annabeth not taking the deal with Alecto to give Percy over and killing her sister. Percy not taking Medusa’s offer to get rid of Annabeth and Grover so he can save his mother. It’s perfect. They’re going to become each other’s chosen person and they don’t even know it yet
LMM as Hermes jump scare. Still not a fan of the Hermes casting
Anyways, overall the show just isn’t working for me. I do appreciate Walker, Leah, and Aryan because they are perfect. They are honestly doing such a great job! The writers, however, are not. I’m trying so hard to think of this show as its own entity so I can enjoy it more, but I haven’t been able to so far. Despite that, I am excited to see where the show ends up going (even if I end up not liking it)

I don’t know if you’re actually watching the Ahsoka series or not, but I was very curious on your thoughts on the newest episode, and the confrontation between Anakin and Ahsoka.
Bro traumatized her again. Lol. 😒🙃
I’m actually kind of satisfied that she showed a little resentment, but I still don’t like that she didn’t cuss him out or something.
Anakin not apologizing is infuriating at first glance, but I also think it fits his character.
It’s funny, if I think about it in a certain way: I wonder if Anakin himself views his “redemption” kind of the same way his fans do. He’s just like, “Why are you still pissed at me? I died stopping the Emperor, didn’t I?” 🙄
The only one I think he’d actually feel sad about is Leia, because of course he’d want his daughter to like him, but she never will now, because he fucking tortured her and blew up her planet.
You know… I don’t really view Anakin’s final moments as a true “redemption” in the eyes of the galaxy. George Lucas has a quote where he says parents are redeemed in the eyes of their children. I guess you could argue that Anakin redeemed himself in Luke’s eyes, but not the galaxy’s own.
And then there’s Leia, who will never forgive him or think of him as her father.
In a way, it’s almost fitting for Anakin, that each of his children represent something for him.
Luke represents forgiveness, and how it’s never too late to do the right thing.
Leia represents his mistakes and sins. As long as she lives, he’ll always look at her and remember the damage he’s done. She’d never let him forget it.
Which is funny, when going back to the recent Ahsoka episode, and how he was acting like a dick to Ahsoka.
Personally, I think he was purposely trying to piss her off to make her fight to not die.
Still though: he’s such a jackass. 😒
Anyways, I guess my main point is that I don’t view Anakin being a Force Ghost shows that he was “redeemed.” I view it more as a type of salvation. Like the Bible story where Jesus is on the cross with two other men next to him. And then one man decides to “believe in him” or whatever, and his soul is saved by the skin of his teeth.
This is kind of how I view Anakin’s act of saving Luke. His soul was saved, because he did a heel face turn at the last second. So The Force was like, “Good enough, I guess.” *Throws up hands*
Anyways, sorry for the long rambling. I hope you don’t mind the message. Haha. 😅 I just have found your blog really therapeutic, because while I like Anakin as the fascinating character that he is, it still just kills me how fandom woobifies him and blames the Jedi for their own genocide.
I don't mind this message at all, thanks so much for sending so many of your thoughts, this was great! It's going to be a long reply back, though, since there's so much to respond to and if you've been going through my blog, this probably won't surprise you.
I AM watching the Ahsoka show, I'm just putting my thoughts about it on a different blog to this one (this blog was created for me to be negative so I usually only review things on here if I KNOW I'm going to be negative about it, but I was hopeful I'd have positive things to say about the Ahsoka show lol).
I think I'm feeling RELATIVELY mediocre about the show. Like I don't hate the whole thing, I can see why it appeals to people, but it's not really hitting at what I would've wanted from a narrative perspective. It seems to be relying on fan service and pretty visuals rather than genuinely good writing to get them through. If you happen to be the fan being serviced, you probably like it fine. But if you are someone more like me, then you might be noticing that there aren't a lot of stakes, the character motivations are weak or missing, the two storylines aren't being spliced together very well, and the dialogue's just not that great. There's also several more nitpicky things that are really pissing me off about the show (the way they're treating Force sensitivity, Sabine being a Jedi at all for no good reason and how her character is being butchered, the very distant and aloof acting I feel like we're getting from everybody, and of course the requisite anti-Jedi bullshit that we can all expect from Filoni at this point).
But as for how I felt about Anakin and Ahsoka's scenes in the latest episode this week, I am personally of the opinion that it WASN'T Anakin at all. I know it's left ambiguous, so if people feel like it was truly Anakin in some way shape or form, that's fine, but I think it makes more sense to me personally that it wasn't. This is Ahsoka's manifestation of Anakin in a moment where she's literally drowning and emotionally at something of a low point and has to decide if she's going to live or not and that conflict plays out in her head the way we see it. I'm also open to the idea that this is one of those things where the Force "tests" the Jedi not unlike what we see happen on Ilum and Mortis and the Force is just utilizing Anakin's visage to bring Ahsoka's deepest fears out into the open.
What makes it interesting to me is that then we can look at the interactions as THIS IS HOW AHSOKA SEES HIM. Whether she thinks about it that deeply or not, THIS personality is how she remembers him. The immediate choice to be violent with her and test her fighting skills rather than talk to her more gently, the dismissive attitude he has towards her, the flickering back and forth between Anakin and Vader because she doesn't truly know which one he was most. He wasn't necessarily a great teacher and his way of teaching wasn't very Jedi-like, it's ruthless and merciless and unkind, and we see that reflected in their interactions in this episode, which could be a really interesting look at how Ahsoka still remembers him even if she didn't see it negatively at the time.
So him not apologizing isn't like... an indication of how Anakin might actually handle this interaction if it were truly him so much as just... Ahsoka being unsure sure if he WOULD apologize because she has no idea how much of him was Vader the entire time and Vader would clearly never apologize. I think the Anakin we see by the end of ROTJ probably would apologize at SOME point, especially if we're supposed to see him as redeemed and acknowledging/accepting of his sins, etc. But Ahsoka doesn't know that. Ahsoka probably kind-of knows through Luke that he turned back in his last moments, but she wasn't there for that, she didn't get to see it, and she obviously still has no idea what caused him to turn on the Jedi and become a Sith to begin with. Why did he come back for Luke and not her? Was it because she abandoned him? Did he just not care about her the way she thought? Was there something intrinsically wrong with her that he recognized from the beginning?
There's just too much uncertainty perhaps for Ahsoka to know if he'd actually apologize and she doesn't even necessarily need or want an apology so much as she just wants to UNDERSTAND. Because of course it leads into her doubts about HERSELF and whether being his apprentice (even for as short of a time as it was) has somehow influenced her to be more like him and if she should be worried that she'll go dark or cause a student of hers to go dark. If she doesn't know why HE made that choice, how can she trust herself? It's not entirely dissimilar to the statement she made at the end of the Wrong Jedi arc where she claims she's leaving the Jedi because if the Council couldn't trust her then she isn't sure she can trust herself, either. And now with Anakin going dark, she has to wonder if the Council saw something of that in her when no one else did, saw a future for her that she hadn't been able to see for herself yet.
I think personally I'd just rather look at this episode as the closest we're going to get to a "deep dive" into Ahsoka's psyche and character rather than try to analyze it as like "what does this say about Anakin." It's not Anakin's story anymore, it's Ahsoka's. Or it's supposed to be, anyway.
That all being said, I don't think it went far enough and I do dislike that we didn't get to dive into OTHER aspects of Ahsoka via other relationships in order to round out who she actually is. I don't think we know any more about her at the end of the episode than we did at the beginning. I don't think she really grows or changes through the episode at all. I don't know what the whole "choose to live" thing was about or how it connects to her overall arc because while, yes, she's obviously literally drowning in the moment, "choosing to live" is not something they've been exploring as an issue for Ahsoka throughout this season so far, so it didn't feel like this cool end to her character journey so much as just a really shallow one-liner made to sound badass without anything particularly profound behind it.
I think gffa said that one of the things you can tell about this show is that it's been percolating in Filoni's mind for so long that there's things he's leaving out because they're just totally obvious to him now and he's forgotten that the audience won't know some of it without being told or shown. If Ahsoka was depressed or suicidal or something like that, it never came across in the first four episodes. She barely seems to be struggling at all to me, personally. So maybe that's what Filoni wanted us to understand about her, maybe that was the intention, but it just didn't quite make it from his head into the writing or onto the screen.
And I keep going back to the Obi-Wan Kenobi show and the way they handled his character arc. They started him at a really low point where he's so CLEARLY depressed and just moving through life without actually living or finding any way to be happy. They spend so much time showing us how OUT of character Obi-Wan is in order for the pay off by the end and the slow growth of his character throughout the six episode story to feel satisfying. And while he's out of character in his depression, it's done in such a way that that's the POINT. We all know WHY he's out of character, we know what's causing him to be that way, it doesn't need to be explained because it didn't happen off-screen, it's literally the plot of an entire trilogy of films. It felt like a pretty natural extension of the state we last saw him in and it allows him the ability to actually have a journey that makes sense.
We've gotten NONE OF THAT for Ahsoka. Her relationship with Sabine is nonsensical and comes out of nowhere with zero explanation. Her weird thing about Padawans comes out of nowhere with zero explanation. Her aloof attitude is coming out of nowhere and does nothing to help us understand the state of mind she's in. She never seems to be acting SO out of character that it tells the audience how much she's struggling, but she's also SO flat that she no longer feels much like the Ahsoka everyone knew and loved from The Clone Wars. They're inventing new problems for her to have that make no sense instead of giving her a journey to actually deal with the problems she already had and hadn't gotten any resolution for. And they're unable to actually connect her problems from before into the Rebels storyline in a way that makes any real sense or feels genuine and meaningful for either Ahsoka or Sabine, so both storylines are getting half-assed and butchered in the attempt.
Personally, I think Ahsoka should've had a season set closer to ROTJ or even before it, just after she gets off of Malachor and 2-3 years prior to ANH, to explore her immediate reaction to Anakin's betrayal and have her overcome that on her own. Use original characters primarily, throw in Bail Organa or something if needed just to give her a quick plot, but let it be about AHSOKA. And only once her journey to finding herself is complete do we then move on to the Search for Ezra, which should be focusing WAY more on the Rebels characters than we're actually getting and should not involve any of the Rebels characters (except maybe Jacen) learning to be Jedi. Ahsoka would be a side character in this story because she has now had her story told and we can let Sabine and Ezra and Jacen and Hera be at the forefront of the story. (I also think we could've done something with Sabine that wasn't being a Jedi or her entire family being murdered off screen so she has an excuse to do a characterization 180 and act like a bratty teenager all over again.)
If I had to just change THIS episode a little, I have a few alternatives I've been thinking about. For one, I do just think we should've gotten to explore OTHER relationships beyond Anakin to emphasize the other things that Ahsoka is that aren't just "Anakin's Padawan." Rex, Barriss, Plo Koon, even Kanan or Ezra to try to make that connection to Rebels. She's been a friend, a commander, a rebel, a student, a mentor, an ally, a Jedi. She's been so many things that have nothing at all to do with Anakin and I think that might've been nice to explore as well. Yes, Anakin was important. Yes, she's fucked up about it. But that's not ALL THAT SHE IS. So I think starting off with her fears about Anakin is great, but then have her move on and sort-of go through it a little like Charles Dickens' A Christmas Story to show that she's more than this, too. This probably would've worked better if it had been a two parter thing rather than one 30-40 minute episode, depending on how many characters you wanted to throw in.
I also would've appreciated seeing her break and shatter at seeing Anakin. I wanted her to be ANGRY, to refuse to forgive him, to throw his betrayal in face. And then by the end of the episode, she lets it go. She's seen that she doesn't need to hold onto that anymore and it doesn't matter what choices Anakin did or didn't make, she's her own person and can make HER own choices. And so Anakin comes back at the end, and she's no longer angry. She can forgive him. I also would've wanted her to have been more snappy and frustrated and angry earlier in the season, as well, so we can TELL there's something simmering underneath that she's trying to keep repressed until it finally boils over in this episode.
The other alternative I came up with was the OPPOSITE idea where Ahsoka is basically just kind-of... in denial about it. She isn't acknowledging her own anger and pain and betrayal at all and she just wants to spend this time with Anakin the way they used to and Anakin is sitting there provoking her and trying to get her to break so she can let it all out. Eventually he gets her to admit it and get angry and yell at him and acknowledge her own pain finally so she can see how it's impacting her relationships in the present day. She's been trying up until now, but as Yoda's always said, sometimes trying isn't enough, and you just have to do or do not. She doesn't reject him at the end of this, but she can at least acknowledge what he did to her and how it's made her feel. You could even include some of her anti-Jedi bullshit in this and have her justifying Anakin's betrayal by saying the Jedi failed him the way they failed her and Anakin pushing back on that idea so that by the end of the episode, she can recognize that she's been blaming the Jedi because she's been uncomfortable with her inability to understand Anakin's choices and it was easier to blame the Jedi than live with that uncertainty.
I've discussed my feelings on Anakin's redemption a lot and they're definitely not in the majority. Personally, I just don't think he's redeemed at all. My definition of redemption is along the lines of "you can fix/undo the thing you broke/damaged" rather than just... "you decided to stop breaking things even if there's no way to fix it." It doesn't mean Anakin can't keep being a better person if he'd lived, or that he can't find redemption in more specific places (like Luke forgiving him for chopping off his hand), but that there is no redemption for what he did to the Jedi, to the clones, and to the galaxy at large. None. It doesn't matter what he does, it doesn't matter that he stopped himself and Palpatine, it doesn't MATTER. The Jedi and the Republic are still gone, the clones were still enslaved, the galaxy is still in shambles and traumatized from 25 years under the Empire.
You aren't the only one who's chosen to separate your definition of "redemption" from something else to make it make more sense. Someone else went for redemption being different from an absolution wherein you are just immediately forgiven of all of your sins because of one act or whatever, while redemption is the process of doing better. If that works for you, go for it. Personally, I just think Anakin isn't redeemed. He cheat coded his way into being a Ghost and the Ghosts don't make any sense anyway. I think it's definitely intended to represent his redemption IN THE NARRATIVE, like that's the point of the visual, but it just doesn't work for me, so I choose not to see it that way. It's ambiguous enough and the Force Ghost lore confusing enough that it's not that hard.
Your interpretation of Luke and Leia as the two sides of forgiveness is intriguing. I do think Leia could get to the point of forgiveness that basically looks like letting go of her anger because the man's dead anyway so there's no real point staying angry and understanding the history that may have led him to become the monster she knew, but that doesn't mean she has to LIKE him or ever consider him a father.
I think you could kind-of throw Ahsoka and Obi-Wan in there as different reactions to Anakin, too. With Ahsoka as someone who sort-of clings to who Anakin used to be and can't truly reconcile the two versions of him that she knew, and Obi-Wan as someone who rises above. Unlike Leia, he did know and love Anakin, but he is also able to let go of his anger and betrayal and accept Anakin for what he is now rather than pining for someone who no longer exists. And Ahsoka is the opposite of Luke as someone who also knew Anakin and loved him, but struggles a lot MORE with the revelation of who he was and his impact on her life. Everyone approaches Anakin and his relationship to them and his choices in a different way.
I wish the Ahsoka show wanted to explore any of that at all lol.

Quinn Hughes
Tumblr media
Her big brother and her biggest protector. He held her first out of their brothers in the hospital and fell in love immediately.
When she got drafted to the Regina Pats in 2019, The closet person to her was Quinn, and It was about a five hour car drive to her or a forty minute plane ride, so the person she saw the most was Quinn.
Quinn has alwyss had such a unique bond with Carter and the two never could hide anything from each other.
If Carter cried during the night most nights Quinn would wake up before their parents would and would already be calming down his baby sister.
Carter always had hard time sleeping and needed to cuddle with someone to sleep better but when she cuddled with Quinn she always slept the best.
Quinn was the only brother who wanted to learn how to do Carter’s hair, when growing up he would watch their mom do so he could learn.
At the end of her rookie season Quinn got Carter a puppy, a golden doodle. A dog she’s wanted since she was child but never got one, and Quinn knew she was going to move to her own place for the next season and wanted her to at least have someone in her apartment, even if she was only a the apartment next to his apartment.
Quinn is the only one of her brothers that know how much Connor means to her, Jack and Luke think Carter just has a friend from her hockey but they don’t realize how much Carter cares for Connor, but Quinn does.
Carter was the witness for Quinn being named Captain and after she made sure he knew how proud she was of him and that made Quinn cry.
Whenever the siblings played hockey together Quinn and Carter were always on a team and Jack and Luke on another.
Quinn has learned to cook very well on his own and it’s become Carter’s favorite to get food from him or a smoothie for breakfast, they usually eat pretty much every meal with each other during the season.
During the hockey season they try to find one night a week to watch a movie or an episode of a show they’re watching together.
Luke Hughes
Tumblr media
Carter and Luke have always had a special connection having been the youngest and closet in age.
They had really bad separation anxiety when Carter left for the Pats and Luke to Collage.
It made Luke sad when he realized how far apart they ended growing as they both moved away from home and it makes Luke miss the days where they lived a room apart.
When Carter lets her hair be curly she looks identical to Luke and it’s Ellen favorite when her babies look so alike.
Luke proudly talks about his sister a lot to all of his friends, he’s her biggest supporter and is always mentioning her in anything from his teamsters to interviews.
Luke loves Carters middle name Reese and has always called her Reese‘s pieces.
Luke has always felt the most comfortable being vulnerable around Carter than their brothers.
Sometimes Luke will come in to her room at the lake house and just lay on top of Carter and his excuse is that they need cuddles.
Carter is always the one that picks the music in the car and has influenced a lot of songs that have become Luke’s favorite.
Carter always was very intelligent and school was something that came easier for her and Luke despite being a year head would always have Carter help him.
They tell each other almost everything so it really hurt Luke to figure out so late what his sister felt for Connor because it made him realize that they aren’t as close anymore as they once were.
Luke started taking better care of his curls when Carter moved away so he always had something on him that reminded him of her.
Luke and Carter have matching rings they found on a day they spent just the two them before Luke went to collage and Carter left for the Regina Pats.
Quinn figured out Carter’s feelings for Connor before she even did, He could tell from the way her eyes sparkle when she talked about Connor, they sparkle in a way they haven’t for anyone else.
Jack Hughes
Tumblr media
Carter and Jack were really close growing up in the same house but they both ended leaving home the same year and they didn’t stay as close.
Carter is Jacks favorite sibling and he tries to be a good big brother for her.
Jack was very proud when he started noticing how much Carter was good at playing in her position in hockey having chosen the same as him.
Jack will call or text Carter after a game he felt like he did a bad job and ask for her opinion knowing Carter plays in the same position and will truthfully tell Jack if he had a bad game or if he was overthinking it.
They both hate texting and being on their phones so to keep more in contact they will play game pigeon instead.
The two rarely call but now with Luke living with Jack, when Luke and Quinn facetime the other two just walk into the frame and talk to each other then.
Carter always grew up wearing 8 and Jack always 6 so Jack chose 86 for her and when Carter got to the NHL she chose 86 for Jack.
When Jack got drafted to the NJ Devils, Carter started always having her nails always painted red and she excused herself when people asked that she just liked the color but really she kept her fingernails red as a reminder of her brother.
When she got drafted and she hadn’t told her family what her number was going to be so she got a matching bracket with her number for her and Jack then gave it to Jack to tell everyone what her number is. Jack will deny the tears that were in his eyes when it happened.
The Devils all knew about Carter before they even met her because Jack was always bragging like a proud big brother.
The first time Jack and Carter play against each other in a game, Carter used a moved she learned from Jack to score a goal and even though they were losing Jack couldn’t help but be proud of his sister.
Connor Bedard
Tumblr media
Carter and Connor are both more on the quiet side and when they met each other they immediately felt comfortable with one another.
Carter enjoys reading and Connor likes to rest his head in her lap and listen to her read.
Both of them moved from home to join the Pats and ended up living next to each other and spent basically every moment for two and half years with each other.
They were quarantined together so they got even closer during that time and they were quarantined in Sweden together and did everything together, school, eating, hockey and relaxing.
Carter and Conner life focus has always been hockey that they didn’t really care much about anything else, Connor told her one day he never had his first kiss and Carter hadn’t either so they shared this first kiss with one another.
Carter always has loved Kangaroos and Connor always calls Roo because of that.
Connor came to her draft to watch Carter on her big day.
Whenever he visits home it’s only a fifteen minute drive to where Carter lives in Vancouver and he always makes a drive to see her.
Connor is very superstitious about who touches his hockey stick but Connor had asked once for Carter to touch it before a game and He had an amazing game after so Connor never has any problems when Carter touching his Hockey stick before a game.
They both enjoy nature and like to find cool hikes to go on in different places.
Connor definitely face times Carter when he’s living alone and trying to cook for himself, Connor knowing Carter always found it hilarious how Connor was never good in the kitchen and usually made a disaster.
Truthfully it was love at first sight for them, both not even realizing what they felt for each other. Connor realized first what his feelings for Carter truly were and Carter took longer not wanting to think of what her feelings could be.
They both love the beach and if their in Chicago or Vancouver together, Carter and Connor they drive to the closet beach and sit in the sand together just listing to the waves.
Carter had become an ambassador for Lululemon very early on in her career and she recommended Connor as another ambassador for the company knowing how much he loves the brand and an excuse to see him more.
Cole Mcward
Tumblr media
Cole joined mid year of her rookie year and they became fast friends.
The two sit together on flights and ended up watching disney movies together while making threaded bracelet, bracelets that they made for everyone on the Canucks.
Cole also understands some flights Carter just needs to sit next to her big brother and cuddle up to him and he never has any problems with switching seats with Quinn.
A lot of the time the two end up working out together and gossiping.
Cole becomes good friends with Connor from the amount of times Connor has been facetiming Carter when Cole is there.
Carter shows Cole around to some of the places she found in Vancouver when he first moved so he could feel more comfortable in his new home.
During warmups they are always messing around with each other, skating circles around each other, pretending to use their hockey sticks as air guitar as they listen to music.
Carter and Cole have both laughed way too many times during meetings and now aren’t allowed to sit next to each other.
The two are very chaotic together and stress out Quinn a lot.
Trevor Zegras
Tumblr media
Trevor has always treated Carter like a younger sister having basically lived with them for a few years so he saw her grow up quite a bit.
Trevor surprised Carter with tickets to Era’s tour for them and Jamie and Alex to all go together.
Carter usually spend the night at Trevor’s after a Canucks and Kings game catching up.
Carter ends up becoming close with Jamie as well because you can’t be friends with Trevor and not become friends with Jamie.
Trevor has always understood that Carter is a more of quiet person and there’s been many times where he’s just sat next to her in silence, something he wouldn’t do for anyone else.
Trevor is a big physical touch perosn so he felt very honored when Carter fell asleep against him the first time, knowing she only does that with people she trusts.
Trevor was offended when he found out Alex took her to get her first tattoo and took Carter to get her second tattoo.
Trevor once checked his own teammate when they smashed Carter into the board being so protective of her he forgot that it was has his own teammate.
Alex Turcotte
Tumblr media
They met each other by Jack introducing them and Alex immediately “claimed” Carter as his adopted child.
Alex made sure he was at the 2022 NHL draft to support Carter’s big day.
Carter has always loved flowers and Alex suprised her by having her favorite flower added to his arm of tattoo’s.
The two FaceTime at least once a week just gossiping with each other.
He’s one of the few that knows how much of a hard time Carter had when she moved away from all her family alone at 15, being thousands of miles from most of her family.
Alex took her to get her first tattoo when she turned 18.
Carter will always send him pictures of her outfits knowing Alex will tell her the honest truth if they look good or not.
The first time they play against each other on the ice and in a real game, Carter jokingly pushed him but Alex didn’t realize and completely tripped to the floor and Carter couldn’t stop her self from laughing which made Alex burst out laughing as well and the two were laughing in the middle of their hockey game.
Adam Fantilli
Tumblr media
They played together for a little while with Connor and became pretty good friends.
Adam and his brother Luca are good friends with Luke so they have been the lake house many times and Adam and Carter always hang out.
Even thought they are a year apart Adam looks up to Carter like older sister.
Adam has gone to Carter many times with girl problems or flirting advice wanting to know from a girls perspective instead of his brother.
Adam had Carter’s name on his vest for the draft as well, Making sure to remember all the times she stayed late after practice with him because he wanted to keep working and she was the captain and wasn’t going to leave her teammate all alone.

This episode does a great job of forcing the audience to face the fact that these are children.
The way the writers were actively showing that they are children who are grieving and trying to process the sadness and pain they feel. And each of them is processing it differently.
And then showing how grief can force you to latch onto certain ideas out of nostalgia, and that being one of the main causes of the fight between Baela and Rhaena and Aemond, and then how that escalated to involved Jace and Luke. The girls are so offended that Aemond claimed Vhaegar for many reasons, but mainly because that is their mother’s dragon. And it seems wrong for her to be ridden by anyone other than their family.
And then the shouting in the hall, the hiding behind their parents or grandparents, the insults and finger pointing, all just really depict children in a way that is a far more accurate portrayal than most shows, and is definitely more accurate than the books.
The moment that really made it clear to me that the writers actually knew how to write child characters was Aemond and his infamous quote. They had to include it- that quote is just too good and too damn accurate to his characterization to leave it out. But him just immediately spouting some random, wise-sounding phrase like that immediately after getting hurt isn’t something a kid would do either.
As someone who has spent a lot of time around kids in classrooms and babysitting, do you know what kids actually do? They shout and insult each other and blame other kids for their actions and cry and ask weirdly difficult, existential questions and grin and pout and hug you and randomly say things that sound like poetry. So having Aemond yelling and pointing fingers and crying and smirking and saying, “It was a fair trade. I might have lost an eye, but I gained a dragon,” and then immediately going to get comfort from his mom is just a very very accurate depiction of a child.

Thoughts While Watching Gilmore Girls: 3x8 Let The Games Begin (Aka Let The ShitCircus Begin) (Send In The Clowns) (Send Help) (Part 1)
You can read my thoughts on all previous episodes in my Pinned Post. Ladies and Gentlemens, do you know what time it is? it is officially Literati Kickoff Time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
To get everyone up to speed, in the last episode, Rory recieved a Public Dumping for the Ages, Dean has stepped down as Rory's Primary Male Life Ruiner and handed that crown to Jess, Shane has been eviscerated into a bloody pulp, Lorelai and Luke both missed the showdown at the DM and so Lorelai learned about this tea off-screen sometime between the last episode and this one. It's yet unclear whether Lorelai learned what happened through second hand gossip or if Rory dusted off her Season 1 Balls of Steel and had the courage to inform her mother that Dean was out and Jess was in. Episode Opener: we see Rory and Lorelai walking through town shortly after the dance marathon, complaining about their sleep deprivation and achy feet. ("At least you bitches still have your feet," says Shane's dismembered ghost, looking down at her new webbed swan feet).
Tumblr media
What is this shirt? It looks like an octopus ejaculated on this shirt.
Tumblr media
Hey baby hey baby hey! J: Hi R:Hey J:Hi Lor: Hi (Who told you you could speak? Butt out, bish) Luke: Hi Jess: Hi R: I have to get to school. J: Me too. R:Bye J:Bye. Bye. Lorelai: Bye (bish, I swear...) R: Bye Luke: Bye Jess: Disappears
Tumblr media
Only THE CUTEST THING THAT HAS EVER HAPPENED?! That was so cute, they should be immortalized into a pair of Precious Moments figurines. The little plaque on the figurine would be titled "Idiots In Love." So naturally, a certain Grinch in a lavendar blouse has a problem with this and it only further reassures her that Jess is nothing more than A Sex Criminal (who would never murder anyone).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yay. Lorelai and I are both crying on the inside over this development, but for vastly different reasons. Anyway, look at her hanging her head! This bish is in mourning! Look at how depressed this bish is! Hahaha! Get SAD, BISH! I WILL LICK YOUR SALTY, SALTY TEARS! Ahem. I haven't seen such a somber delivery since the medical examiner delivered the news to Shane's parents that he had positively identifed her mutilated corpse.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Who will visit my home and sift through my panty drawer now? Luke: What happened? Lorelai, somber as a funeral director: Jess happened. Luke, uncharacteristically giddy with excitement: Wow! WOW! This is great! Wow! Rory and Jess! Jess and Rory! This is great! Don't you think this is great! Honestly Luke and Lorelai reflect both sides of my conflicting feelings about the Literati Shit-Circus. Lor: "I'll tell Dean you said that." I'm sure you will before the next time you gargle his dick. I think it's the next episode where Lorelai tells Dean, "Just because you and Rory broke up doesn't mean we did." #Sick
Tumblr media Tumblr media
MOMMY FAIL! Rory is 18. She's a fucking adult so leave her alone. Anyway, what does that mean? I think it's code for "It's about time Rory dated a boy who knows how to remove a bra.' Luke: I know Jess is tough (LOL, yeah, he's a real toughie, just look at that last exchange) but he likes Rory and Rory's a good kid. Her good will rub off on him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You are so full of baloney. You're a Baloney Superstore. You are the Walmart of Baloney. Oh, this episode contains multitudes. Lorelai is insufferable on not just one but two fronts. Heavens to betsy. This is the episode where she has a shit-fit over Richard taking Rory to interview at Yale. One of the most ridiculous Lorelai tantrums I can ever recall, at least in the earlier seasons. Maybe not as insane as "I'd rather my child and I be homeless than accept a loan from my mother to save my termite infested house" but it's up there in the top 5 for me.
Tumblr media
I am so brave. Ar FND, Richard invites Rory to embark on said Road Trip to Yale, which shouldn't be a big deal for a child with any other mother besides Lorelai Gilmore, but this is Rory so she is shaking lke a flu stricken chihuaua at the thought of her mother finding out she would ever deign to visit a school endorsed by her grandparents. She reluctantly accepts, then quietly pees her pants.
Tumblr media
God speed, girlypop.
Tumblr media
Fun with Product Placement time: Rory went to fetch a soda from the kitchen, and my immediate thought was: "These rich bitches better have name brand Coca Cola in their fridge, and not that odd Hansen's soda that Rory is always drinking", and they do. A real honest to god prominently labeled Coke can. Girlypop here is feeling the heavy weight of possibly displeasing her mother in both her romantic and academic choices. She has a lot on her plate right now. While the car is parked in the Gilmore Grands driveway after FND, girly pop musters up the courage to tell Lorelai "Grandpa wants us to go on a road trip to Yale" which causes Lorelai to huff and immediately exit the car. She begins storming back into the house, intent on demanding that her father explain this unbelievably callous and cruel attempt to brainwash her daughter into considering another school besides Harvvard. Rory stops her at the porch. where a lengthy argument ensues. Rory has to (once again) dig in her heels to defend her position against Lorelai over something so STUPID. I am really sitting here watching Lorelai and Rory go back and forth forever just because (ADULT) Rory wants to visit a college campus at the invitation of her own grandfather. Lorelai even calls Richard a "master manipulator" for this evil plot. You know what Rory, stop asking Lorelai for her input. Since you don't have a car, just hop on a bus to New Haven and just fucking go. After comparing the city of New Haven to leftover sludge at the bottom of a coffee pot, Lorelai decides she's going to accompany Rory on the trip anyway, even though its been made quite clear she does not have to go (just like the Sherry Baby Shower). In both instances, Lorelai's presence will ruin everything. Per @frazzledsoul: "Lorelai is so spoiled here. Imagine being a parent of a teenager and your worst problem is what Ivy League school your kid goes to." Amen. The rest of this episode promises to be a complete shitshow of epic proportions. At least the next episode is "Deep Fried Korean Thanksgiving", one of the best.

Review/Analysis of Percy Jackson TV Show So Far. Pt. 2:
SPOILERS
Episode Two:
What I like/love:
ANNABETH OMG OMG OMG SHE'S HERE
Grover my precious child <3
Mr. D. Just Mr. D. Also does not help he's played by one of my favourite actors who played one of my all-time favourite characters (aka Pimento). He's an ass, but a goofy ass. Like after watching the Insta preview of his convo with Percy, I knew he was going to be an ass about it, but I didn't expect him to say he was Percy's dad to get alcohol ToT.
Percy's sass: 100000/10
Walker's acting deserves an award.
Luke just Luke. The poor man sounds more sad than angry (Which honestly makes the finale 10x better if you think about it since it'll feel more like a twist for people who don't know)
Luke just Luke because he's so charismatic.
Percy learning archery and being in the forges on the comedy scale is 1000000000000/10.
Chris and Luke being besties and being close on-screen and Chris just getting more screen time. Do you guys think he's still unclaimed??? (If so... A+ parenting Lin, no wonder your son/s hates you)
Percy and Annabeth
'She's my little sister'- YESSSSSSSSSS
Luke being the one to tell Percy bout Thalia because it just makes sense cause yknow. But also it helps Luke's character as well.
Totally not biased because I love the Diary of Luke Castellan.
Clarisse (That's all I have to say)
THE PORTRAYAL OF ARES KIDS IN THE SHOW>>>>. Like we were always told how scary they were, but like in the dumb jock, bully way. I'm probs just nitpicking but I love how Chris literally says that Clarisse spends the first few hours hunting in the woods (Guerilla warfare tactics anyone?). Idk why but I think that just shows how dangerous the Ares kids are. Like the Athena kids are always hyped and everything for the strategic warfare, but cmon there HAD to be a reason why everyone was so worried bout the Ares kids joining the Battle of Manhatten. Like it had to be more than they were kids of the War god. (Hello the Spartans worshipped Ares and were one of the greatest warriors in history, they were just given a bad rep due to the Athenians writing down history and the myths)
Also, what's gonna happen with Chris and Clarisse???
Tots not biased since I have a weird love for Ares (fav god in the myths) and his kids
The gods (aka Mr. D) showing why they are in fact assholes.
Percy in capture the flag.
The whole mentality of 'if I get glory my absentee parent will notice me' (Honestly I see how people were converted to stick the middle finger at the gods and joined Kronos)
Percy being mini Luke.
Annabeth figuring out Percy was the son of Poseidon.
The argument between Percy and Mr. D about the quest.
YESSS PERCY DEFEND YOUR MOM (the gods do not in fact care for mortals)
Grover telling Percy about what happened to Sally.
Percy being anti-gods
Neutral
Clarisse being a more modern bully. Kinda works I guess. Though why do they think he's being a fake? Like just keep it being an initiation ritual, still works and teenagers will do that.
Criticism
They shouldn't have removed the 'Names have power thing for the gods' specifically since it was a belief that the ancient Greeks had especially for Underworld deities.

So I'm rewatching PJO episode 6 in preparation for tomorrow (so excited!!!) and here's some thoughts~
Tumblr media
1) I watched the Iris message with Luke like a million times and it is SO unnerving to see what a master manipulator he is. He's the cool older friend everyone wants to be seen bumping fists with - and he's giving them so much caring attention. All while subtly deflecting the conversation to pushing the conclusions HE wants Percy and Annabeth to arrive at. For the first time, I was reminded how scary this thing with Luke was, and once again, gave me the same feeling I'd had when I first read the books :')
2) Social commentary in the Lotus Casino like pls????? Rick NEVER fails to deliver on the best messages. Drugs injected into the air of one of the biggest gambling businesses in the world? Grover literally getting "lost in time" in the VR headset? Hermes lamenting about parenting? I love it.
3) Percabeth🥹🥹🥹🥹 "You were like two seconds ahead of me" SO PERCY. I was wheezing. Percy FINALLY opening up to Annabeth about the dreams had me sighing in relief. And the way the two of them navigated Hermes and the Lotus Casino together had me sobbing fr. MY BABIESSSS
4) PERCY DRIVING IS SO ME PLS. "Try aiming for the middle!" Like same bro been there😭 Waiting for a full minute after the guy cuts him off and then angrily honking ME. ME ME ME. I detest driving and I mean. Oh, and the best part - Annabeth staring proudly at Percy as he goes up that ramp, and Percy happily looking into her eyes AND THEN CRASHING INTO THE WALL I WAS BESIDE MYSELF I did not know this was something I needed. And... of course... WISE GIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRLLLLLL
5) When Annabeth said "it's easy to forget what's important when you're alone" it reminded me so bitterly of Luke. For this kind of lone forgetting is exactly what Kronos is betting on when he singles Percy out as his backup or whatever. It's scary how blurred the line between Luke and Percy's possible destinies is. And branching from the same dialogue, Grover's reaction after he realises he forgot quite a bit was heartbreaking. It kind of reminded me of the scene from Chalice of the Gods (spoilers, yall!) when Grover's sad Percy and Annabeth will be leaving. Hit too close to home :')
6) The Nereid was so mindnumbingly beautiful??? Also, they're making Percy's colour palette green and gold instead of blues, and while that's going to take a while to get used to, they're doing an aesthetically marvellous job!
7) But... there was no zebra :(
Anyway now I'm SO excited for tomorrow's episode I cannot WAIT. I cant wait to see the Cerberus, the Underworld, and Hades and Persephone (the gods all look so amazing so far this is going to be SO good) - and I can't wait to see Sally again!!! Her figure in the teaser seemed so cool. Literally counting down the hours😭

Percy Jackson and The Olympians spoiler for the show/book:
Episode 1:
So I really liked how they began it how the book opened, that was a really nice touch!
I also really liked how we saw Percy growing up and seeing things, focusing in the mechanical rhino was a nice set up for the second book. I also enjoyed how you saw the subtle training, like from Grover with the cards.
Speaking of Grover though, now, I won't focus too heavily on differences from the book and show, as I know there needs to be differences, but a huge part of Grover is his legs/walking difficulties, so Grover walking fine in shorts? I disliked that.
Another thing I disliked was Mrs. Dodds, she didn't take Percy somewhere private, Chiron just gave Percy Riptide, and Percy didn't have this awakening battle with her, it was just played off as an accident.
Two other character changes I disliked were Gabe and Sally. Gabe is no where near as bad, he is kinda timid, Percy isn't shown to be scared of him, he is way too accommodating, and kinda the main point of his character that is crucial to him, his smell, isn't noted at all. Then yes, Sally. She was just off the whole time. She shows herself being vulnerable in front of Percy, something she never does, she stands up to Gabe and back chats him, she gets angry, also she is way too open and transparent when her whole point is trying to keep everything secret to protect Percy, her character was just off.
30 minutes was way too short. They have to cram so much exposition and such into the episode, at one point they explain like 6 things back to back! I thought it coulda been paced out. Which to combine two points, Sally tells Percy everything, which again, she doesn't want to do, but also this means Percy sorta discovers nothing in Camp Half-Blood which ruins why that place was so incredible, I also think it woulda helped the first episode being less expo heavy having Percy discover everything at the camp.
Last thing I wanna say is Sally really wasn't that sad about losing Percy. Like she eventually gets choked up, but in the book, it clearly explains why Sally kept Percy, why she kept everything secret, and why she doesn't want him going to Camp Half-Blood. But until the final moment she shows almost no sadness about losing Percy, and there's just nothing to show her keeping everything a secret or wanting to be selfish in keeping Percy.
Episode 2:
So I really liked the detail of the beaded necklaces! That was a nice touch, the show was full of small details like that, like Luke's scar and such!
Another thing I like is the series includes Clarisse! It is so nice seeing her character unlike in the movie!
I really did not like Luke telling Percy about Thalia/Annabeth. In the book this is a huge thing and a huge mystery, also, nobody wants to talk about it as it hurts too much, but in the show Luke just says it all. I did notice this generally, all these quietly painful moments don't exist, the show just screams everything and takes away all the characters pains.
I love that they included Annabeth's hat! Again, vital thing that is nice to see included this time!
So, eh, I wanna word this carefully. I do not care at all that they changed the characters, as long as they have the personality and the relationship, who cares. However, one thing I found lacking was the lack of the Gods in the kids. In the book, it's sort of a big thing that they all share similar traits, so not only does this help you/Percy identify characters, but it shows who is related and how to separate characters. But in the show, they've just done nothing to the characters, so you have no idea who is who or what God they belong to, I kinda wish Annabeth's eyes were grey, or that Hermes' kids have upturned eye brows, or that Percy's eyes were green. They are meant to have a single same parent, biology dictates genes, I wish there was more shown to connect them to their parents and each other.
I really like the detail of Clarisse's electric spear, and the fact she made the comment about losing dessert privelages!
Another change I disliked is Percy discovering his power. Again, throughout the book there are SSSSOOOO many things hinting towards Poseidon, and one of those things is Percy being drawn to the water, being drawn to his dad. So the fact he has no intention of going near the water, noticing he is stronger in the water, and Annabeth just pushes him in it? Poseidon proudly claims him after he uses the water to show his power! It just was lacking.
Then the final thing I quite disliked, Grover telling Percy about his mum. Again, a huge secret pain is that Percy keeps it hidden the reason he accepts the quest is to save his mum, as he thinks he can get her from the Underworld. So needing to be told he can get her, that she isn't dead, and Grover tells him this? Again, they took a quiet pain and just screamed it.
There were other things like Percy having Riptide, Mr. D sorta solely being played for laughs and not showing his power/danger. Like, there were other changes that bothered me but again, I accept the show can't be entirely faithful, but the ones I mentioned just bothered me a lot more. I think the art style of the credits is super cool, I love the characters are more age appropriate, I know Rick likes this a lot more and is more involved, and there were positives. I just, yeah, wished pacing and dumbing down were different. The minotaur looked cool

Actually offense. The Percy Jackson Tv show had no suspense. Everything was stated out right we never got to wonder or be suspicious/surprised because everything was stated. Some Examples Medusa, The fates, Furies, EVEN CRUSTY FOR GODS SAKES. There was no build up, even the Summer solstice failed. It was supposed to be a DEADLINE but they went passed it and brushed that off in one convo with Zeus. Hades complete mood switch???? Why was Athena so petty?? Like yes Athena is most likely petty but she wouldn’t take a risk like that its, NOT smart.
Dont get me started on the last episode Traitor reveal. NO SUSPENSE No dramatic drop just. “Your the lightning thief..” LIKE BRO WHAT WHERES MY 60 SECONDS.
Im sorry to say this but I wasn’t content or happy with the tv show. Even the Cgi was weird and the fighting was terrible. The sparing they did with Luke and Percy was the best fight scene in that while show… and that is just sad. Even the fight with ARES was underwhelming. Im hoping they’ll take this criticism and really change that for season two I want dramatic drops, build up, TIME TO BREATH. MAYBE EVEN A LONG FIGHT? They drop so much lore and so fast you don’t have time to digest.
Im pissed about the May lore drop WE DIDNT KNOW ABOUT HER UNTIL BOOK 5. ANNABETH WASN’T EVEN ALLOWED INSIDE (or it was just the kitchen I believe) BUT STILL. Annabeth was almost as clueless as Percy if I remember correctly. Even if she wasnt she doesn’t have the right to spill that secret of Lukes like girl what?? Luke shouldn’t have told about Thalia but still at least she was his friend as well but his trauma about his mom was not yours to share also guilt tripping Hermes??
May’s fate wasn’t even really Hermes fault. He tried to talk her out of it and it was Hades who cursed the oracle in the first place. Im just so upset about all the secrets that were revealed early.
The acting didn’t have much emotion or I felt they portrayed it wrong. For instance Percy reacted to almost everything with the same face. The show was way to dry for my liking. Percy jackson is supposed to be funny. Sally kind of seemed like a mean mom iykwim. I mean she just had no patience for Percy at all and it constantly felt like she was guilt tripping him… no just me??? I get that shes a struggling and single parent but Whattt???? She’s supposed to be supportive, kind and loving. If I met that sally I wouldn’t expect her to sit me down in her kitchen offering us a blanket and cookies.
THEY DID GABE FOWL. They did him so poorly that man did not deserve to die sure he was a dead beat but seriously?? Tartarus would not smell like him. They should have just let him get divorced it would have made sense but turning him to stone?? For what being a lazy, grouchy stepdad??
Gabe in the book was abusive manipulated just a straight up Piece of sewer gunk. He HIT them he abused them and manipulated them into staying quiet. The entire scene with the cops and everything. The guy in the show tho?? He looks like he’d fall over from the raise of a hand bro wouldn’t even be able to throw a punch. He doesn’t even have a job?? He looks like the worst he would do is yell and make fun of you because he’s probably projecting because he’s completely useless but deserving death?? He was more of a nuisance he didn’t deserve to die being divorced and alone forever I can’t understand but seriously??
Also the Percabeth slow burn… they’re pushing it they were just friends in the first book maybe in the second we start getting into it. But seriously the first season? She just started opening up to him in the first book. WE DIDN’T EVEN GET THEIR TALK LIKE UGH WHAT I wanted the Annabeth backstory about her dad but they didn’t have the convo about her going home for the summer we didn’t get into it. They’re overcooking my 5 book long slow burn.
They stuffed to much into too short of episodes that we didn’t get time to breath or get to know our characters. It was just a one minute battles here and there, a few conversations about impending doom and Percy being sad about his mom like. I know I’m being Petty but they should have split most of those episodes into two so we had more time to learn about our characters or digest the info dumps. The first episodes had me reeling I swear my head was swirling. The characters themselves didn’t have time to breath “Oh your claimed by poseidon now you have to go on a deadly quest to find the master bolt everyone thinks you stole but we think hades stole it also he probably has your mom.” Why are they shoving everything in our face. Percy in the books had 3 DAYS to come to terms with his parentage but show percy had like a day AT MOST.
I don’t know, they just could have done so well but they didn’t. I swear Mikey mouse must have tied Rick to a chair no way he said yeah this is amazing or a good script decision. THERE WERE SO MANY PLOT HOLES or decisions that didn’t make any sense.

Frazzled's Favorite Gilmore Girls Episodes:
Raincoats and Recipes: Luke and Lorelai finally kiss! I will accept the Dean shenanigans as good drama because it's made clear it is NOT a good idea overall.
Last Week's Fights This Week's Tights: Luke and Lorelai have their cute wedding date, Jess accepts that Luke will always love him unconditionally (even if he messes up sometimes), he awkwardly tries to make things up to Rory and gets shot down which is sad but is a catalyst for everything good that happened to him offscreen. Jess has emo hair throughout the entire episode and Luke is as hot as he's ever looked. Priorities, people.
Written In The Stars: Luke and Lorelai have their first date. Logan shows up right as Rory starts to pity dates Dean and I'm sure she won't be distracted by a bad boy who knows his literary references again! (She totally will). The post coital L/L stuff is as sexy as this show ever gets, unfortunately.
They Shoot Gilmore Don't They: The dance marathon episode. There's L/L tension, Literati eye-fucking, townie shenanigans, and Mama Kim scaring Jess into politeness. Also Dean finally skedaddles. Bye. Don't come back (he does not listen. Damnit).
Forgiveness and Stuff: Luke makes Lorelai a Santa burger, which next to Jess writing in the margins is the grandest romantic gesture ever made on this show. Other stuff happens: Richard has a heart attack, Lorelai gives Luke his beloved blue baseball cap, there is graciousness towards the grandparents and poignant emotional moments but blah blah blah, SANTA BURGER.
Lorelai's Graduation Day: The Literati Roman Holiday. It's the episode of dreams, y'all. Also, Lorelai graduates and her parents are proud of her for once.
The Bracebridge Dinner: Rory invites Paris to a party! Dean and Jess fight and totally don't make eyes at one another as a result. All three iconic couples go on sleigh rides! Jess and Luke snark during townie events! It's a classic.
Rory's Birthday Parties: Aw, I love this episode as it has so much S1 charm and yet Dean stays away for most of the entire episode. Also, Richard does a Seventeen quiz and is adorable.
Hay Bale Maze: Yeah, people, get over it, it's a Logan episode. He and Rory are actually at their best here. Plus, Luke and Lorelai apologize to each other and if that had not happened I would have never watched the show again. Unjustly hated.
Nick and Nora Sid and Nancy: Jess shows up, steals Rory's book, and gives his annotated version back to her. Truly a hooligan romantic move for the ages. Classic episode.

PJO 1x6 SPOILERS BELOW!!!!!!
I love their confidence in thinking that Clarisse is the lightning thief.
The fact that the cabins are picking sides is so sad when you think about it because the oldest camper there is most likely Luke and he’s literally 19. They’re all kids, teenagers at the oldest but they still know that their parents are going to force them to fight a war that they had nothing to do with and they’ve just kind of accepted it.
“No monsters in Sunday. Medusa on Saturday. You died in a river on Monday.” ANNABETH 😭 I love her so much.
“When did you two turn into a married couple.” The way I CACKLED.
Percy asking if it was going to be safe letting the animals loose (talking about the amount of people and cars) and Grover fully believing he’s talking about animals says so much about his character and I love it so much. I love he’s getting more screen time in the show because I felt like he was really under appreciated in the movies and even in the books sometimes. I love that he’s getting more love ❤️
“How do we know which one is the Lotus Casino?” “Maybe the one with a lotus blossom.” The playful banter that follows and the way they look at each other has me giggling and kicking my feet.
“What do you think WISE GIRL?” I WOULD HAVE SCREAMED BUT I HAD FOOD IN MY MOUTH.
No Nico cameo 😢 I’ll live but it would’ve been so cool.
“Who’s Grover?” “Grover got old fast..” Percy… sweetie…
Annabeth pickpocketing the god of thieves himself and semi getting away with it was a perfect display of how sneaky and intelligent she actually is.
“I’m multitalented.” GIRL 💀
Percy tackling Augustus like a professional football player and then yelling in his face “Where’s Grover?!” I feel like it was perfect glimpse into seeing how scary Percy will seem to everyone around him in future seasons. The transition from when they first started the quest and having no clue what to do to this?!?! He went from following their lead because he didn’t what what else to do or how to fight to literally chasing a satyr through a casino, despite slowly losing his memory, and then tackling him to the ground all to defend the person he was following around three episodes earlier? I absolutely loved every second of it.
Realistically I know it wasn’t Poseidon’s fault for not being there but I still want to fight him for Percy’s sake.

Luke Skywalker entering the bridge of Moff Gideon's ship after destroying the Dark Troopers. Image from The Mandalorian, Season 2, Episode 8, The Rescue. Calendar from DataWorks.
Grogu often wondered why Master Luke chose to wear dark robes instead of the light tan colored ones that most Jedi chose to wear. It seemed odd. He hadn’t fallen to the Dark Side. He hadn’t killed anyone  with his lightsaber. Not his father. Not the Emperor. No one. Unless you counted that plague of Dark Troopers Moff Gideon had thrown at them, not realizing that they were no match for a lone Jedi.
When he talked to Pelli Motto about it, during one the lengthy stays they had on Tatooine waiting for news of Imp Remnants, she reminded Grogu that some people wore black because they were in mourning. He asked her what mourning was and got a typical reply.
“Now look kid, I can’t be teaching you everything. That’s what you got a dad for. Go bug…uh… ask him. I’m sure he’s been lookin’ forward to this lesson.”
Grogu was certain that she had said something like ‘because what parent doesn’t want to explain death to a child’, or words to that affect, under her breath. He almost asked her to repeat herself but then thought better of it. When she was telling him to go bug his dad it meant that she had told him everything she wanted to tell him and there was no one more stubborn than Peli in Grogu’s experience.
So he went off to find his dad, who was sitting in a new tavern in Mos Eisley talking with a friend of his. A female friend. Huh. Maybe that’s why Peli wanted Grogu to go talk to his dad. Peli had a strong preference to be everyones friend and wasn’t always happy when someone new showed up.
He found them easily enough. A Mandalorian was hard to miss in any environment, but one sitting with a person who looked like a Jedi, but clearly wasn’t one was pretty noticeable too. If you knew what you were looking for and Grogu knew.
“Hello there. Have you been a good helper to Lady Motto?” Ta’lan Bet of the Brethren asked him as he hopped onto the table top that separated her from his dad.
“Yup”
Grogu replied very quietly because he didn’t really want his dad to know that he was willing to speak Gal Basic to his friend, when he rarely spoke to him using it.
“Very good. I gather you have a question for your father?”
How did she know that? Oh right. Brethren. She used the Force just like he did. Well, not just exactly like he or Luke, for that matter, used the Force, but still she knew things like that and it irked Grogu just a little bit. He never got to surprise her with anything.
He nodded his head and then glanced over at his dad.
“Go on buddy, you can ask whatever question you want.”
Grogu was glad his dad was being so cool about it. Most of the time he didn’t want Grogu just blabbing in front of his friends. So he asked the question and was surprised that Ta’lan seemed to understand the sign language as readily as Din Djarin did. Had she met the Sandpeople? It seemed pretty likely.
“Mourning? It’s what people do when someone they care about dies. Or if they lose a pet. Or if their life changes dramatically in a way they didn’t expect. It’s a sort of sad, annoyed feeling that you get because you want things to go back to how they used to be.”
Ahh. Grogu knew it was probably more complicated than that, but what his dad said made sense to him. He had certainly mourned all the people he’d lost when the Clones attacked the Jedi Temple and it turned out that Chancellor Palpatine was behind it all and Anakin Skywalker had helped and all that. It had been a long miserable time in his life and he’d spent a lot of that time feeling horrible. But he’d never changed his clothing because of that. Nor did he have any tattoos or scars or things like that to memorialize his pain.
“Your friend Luke changed how he dressed?” Ta’lan asked him softly.
Grogu nodded his head and began to describe it all in pretty significant detail. He wanted her to understand the exact changes and not just that he changed from one pair of pants to another.
“I see. It is possible that Luke’s selection of clothing has nothing to do with his personal history, but I also doubt that. Sometimes we notice the light more because there is darkness around it. Like the stars or a moon at night. Perhaps Luke needed to signal that although he had suffered many losses and did indeed mourn those who were gone, he also wanted his friends to know that he still followed the light. A cloak can only do so much to obscure who you are. You knew he was a friend without even seeing his face, did you not?”
Grogu thought about that. What she said was true. He’d sensed Luke’s presence far earlier than anyone else. Grogu had known that the Jedi had come to help them. He told his dad he could be trusted. He’d seen him on the monitors and knew he wasn’t a Sith or even someone tempted by the Dark Side. His green lightsaber blade gave that away. No Sith every fought with a green bladed lightsaber.
Grogu nodded his head to answer her question.
“Then I suggest you ask Luke about his choices the next time you see him. Perhaps he just thinks that the dark clothing makes him seem more mysterious. Or thinner. Or more dangerous. After all, for a Jedi, their clothing is their armor. Each should choose what suits them best.”
Grogu smiled at that. He wondered if he would continue to add to his armor or perhaps find a new set of robes. Mandalorian or Jedi? He didn’t know yet. They each had their plusses and minuses. Maybe he would join the Brethren and just dress in something comfortable with a lot of pockets, like his dad’s friend. He giggled at that thought. What could he hold in pockets that small? Pebbles?

The Handmaid’s Tale 5x05 “Fairytale”👀
So we have 2 major storylines: June and Luke's ill-advised bowling date, and the miseducation of Ms. Serena as a late in life handmaid-in-waiting. Shout out to the brief but delightful subplot that involved Moira and Lily getting drunk and shit talking, I would totally ship them. I apologize in advance for the snark this quickly devolved into, there may have been wine involved.
We begin with Serena descending down a long staircase, to greet the martha housekeeper at the bottom (wonder where we've seen this before?). I will say, although the Serena/June handmaid parallels this episode are heavy handed—from the stairs and the green juice healthy breakfast to the flashbacks to the very layout of Serena’s room(!)—I actually didn’t really mind because every scene and detail screaming at us that the handmaid's chunky brown boot shoe is now on the other foot was just kind of karmically delicious. Of course Serena still thinks she has power here (at least at first), as she is wont to delusionally believe, demanding requesting to speak with the Commander Mr. Wheeler. Silly Serena, don't you know the menfolk are very very busy with man business? They don't have time for your foolish female prattle! She's able to briefly forget this rejection and her probable indigestion from that smoothie, as Mrs.Wheeler presents her prized pig guest to her gaggle of wanna be Gilead wife friends, who fawn over Serena and her big belly, to her great satisfaction. It's like a good old fashioned Gilead fake labor show but better! (or is it.... guess we'll have to wait and see)
We flash back in time to see Serena and Naomi sauntering their new teal heels through the sterile hallways of an animal children's shelter: they browse the strays through the observation windows but can't quite imagine adopting a mutt into their home, you never know if they're properly house-trained and anyway, they were thinking more of a purebred (they know a breeder). So wonderful we saved these poor children from their ungodly parents to be put in fitting homes!...oh dear, not my home though. Imagine. Serena asks Naomi if she's been approached about a handmaid yet like she's inquiring if she's been asked to prom. Naomi isn't going to prom does not want a whoreful adult stray handmaid in her house any more than she wants one of these illbread brats poor children. She has white couches, for godsake! This scene cemented my suspicion that Naomi 100% never wanted children to begin with. Honestly I felt like this scene was also kind of a irl commentary on the sad fact of so many foster children in need of love and family, especially older kids, too often viewed as "undesireable" or "damaged" Of course there’s the small matter of Gilead causing huge damage to these kids by stealing them, literally traumatically ripping them from the arms of loving parents and families in many cases (which sadly does also sometimes mirror real life). Have to also call out the easter egg throw out line about Chicago rebel forces "they’ll be put down soon”... bitch, we know they’re still fighting like 6-7 years later, so.
Later we see Serena sitting down at Aunt Lydia's trafficking fertility office to pick out a handmaid from their Gilead mugshots. She doesn't look so excited about the prospect anymore at this point (methinks things might be getting strained with Fred at this point, I guess the Gilead honeymoon is over). Anyone else pause their tv to go look super close/upside down at the Handmaid’s files to see if June was in the bunch (or anyone else we know) and also to try and get a glimpse of the first unfortunate “Offred”? Just me? I actually thought the first file she picked up (who also caught Mr. Waterford's eye) looked like June upside down but upon seriously straining my neck was able to determine it was not (then I remembered I could just screenshot and rotate). Maybe Fred really did have a type, though. Ann Dowd’s physical/face acting as Lydia watches over Serena’s shoulder really cracked me up here.
Tumblr media
(guess that’s poor nameless Offred the first on the right)
It's time for Serena's business call and Mrs. Wheeler leaves her alone because she couldn't possibly wrap her little woman brain around all that business talk (I kind of love how she manages to fawn over Serena while at the same time throwing shade, it's masterful--or deranged--or both). Joseph gets his first one-liner of the episode in “….You think the Gilead information center... focusing on Gilead... is a mistake?” and of course it's hilarious but fuuuck, he and I may both hate to admit that she’s right, fertility is definitely the best spin Gilead could go with in this fucked up limited supply baby crazy world. Unfortunately for her, it’s once again slipped Serena's mind that Gilead hates women, and she gets a swift buh-bye from creepypants Putnam, who by the way keeps getting creepier by the day. Are they purposely putting pasty corpse-like makeup on that poor actor? Random aside, I wonder if the actor is also like a really nice guy who volunteers and saves puppies or something, like how the cast always would say that Joseph Fiennes is just the loveliest person. Anyway, here we get the first mention of Joe’s pet project New Bethlehem, which Warren promptly shits on. Despite JLaw remaining pretty steadily neutral evil so far this season, I actually felt something from him when he said  “or all of this…will have been for nothing”. His motivations lately have felt a bit ambiguous to me, but I did here feel that maybe he really does desperately need it all to mean something: otherwise it means he will have lost Elinor for nothing.
We end Serena' episode arc with the long awaited welcome from Mr. Wheeler, as she prays dutifully at her bedside for everyone to realize how special and smart and superior she is. Even her room here is uncannily reminiscent to me of June’s room at the Waterfords, down to the placement of furniture, window/window seat and door in the same spot (but like a super lux version). I looked away for like a second at the beginning of this next part and when I looked back did a double take because for a split second when he was silhouetted in the doorway I thought wut, NICK?? (I MEAN)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
until I remembered we are being cruelly deprived of our boy for two long episodes. Can't even say for sure it's because they have a similar build in the dark from behind or if I was just that desperate to see him. Anyway. Then I did another double take because I know this actor from this random 1 season show where he plays a character working at a renaissance faire, and that is not relevant at all here except that I don't know how I'm supposed to take him seriously as a villain now when I know him for shirtless slap fighting in mud and going by the moniker "Sir Pizzle Humpsalot" (it's kind of like when I realized Val from "Working Moms" was one of the very serious Swiss "go-between" people who fuck over refuse to work with Nick and June in s2). So Mr. Pizzler Whizzler gives a nice little condescending speech during which she--and we--get it drilled once again into our/her heads that Serena will not be continuing with her absurd working woman ambitions, because what is important now is her womb and its contents and that these contents are kept safe so that they can be taken from her. Yeah, WE GET IT, but does she? FINALLY? Serena still seems to have a fundamental issue with the thought that to other Gileadeans (and wannabe Gileadeans), she might not be more special than the countless other women she was totally fine with considering nothing more than a vessel for babies for her to steal. This does not compute. She weirdly doesn't seem to like being treated like a pet/property/child, herself, though (bet Mark and his ill-advised puppy crush are looking pretty good to her now). We leave her here, fulfilled of her daily dose of prenatal vitamins, yet still feeling strangely unsettled... to be continued...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(I mean, upgrade, but still) ---
Over on the still Canada side of Canada (for now, anyway), June is woken up from a Hannah fever dream to a call from Mayday Lily (yay, I love her!). June, Moira and Luke pile into the car for a field trip and flip off some nice Canadian protesters politely (at least one sign said please) telling them to GTFO. They oblige for the day and fuck off to the border, only to get the bad news that Mayday's Gilead contact is stuck on the other side and they're SOL. "Not so!" proclaims Luke, the sudden knight in shining armor. "We shall cross the forest of dangers and rescue the princess from the grasps of the evil queen!" Because he can't wait around for Hannah to appear on tv again with Serena... who is in Canada... ok. I mean it's only been 5-7 years since your daughter was stolen and yeah in all that time the bureaucratic paperwork approach hasn't worked too well (also though, Moira, exactly HOW long did you know about the border camp for?) but sure, right now seems like a great time to suddenly go tromping half-assed into Gilead patrolled woods with no gun, no weapons. Honestly I am really confused by how determined this guy seems to be to repeat history by going into another situation completely unprepared to defend himself and his family, with little else than his bravado and ill-advised optimism. June, however, looks proud and moved by this bravery recklessness and I don't know what I expected because I really do not think Luke brings out the best/smartest in her and she literally got turned on last episode by his pretend murder bluff. I sort of hoped that if anything Moira's common sense alarm would have gone off here a bit more forcefully, but unfortunately she was too busy force feeding us cheesy lines waxing poetic on Luke and June's marriage because they apparently have to try and convince the audience what they are not showing us by telling us.
Moira fucks off to drink with Lily (they got the better end of the deal) and off go June and Luke into the danger woods, holding hands (because I guess this is date night or something). We get an ominous overhead shot of telephone wires far above, giving the sense that nefarious forces are listening/watching, and then it is night in the creepy woods. June starts having trauma flashbacks but insists she's ok, because she still doesn't really think Luke can handle it doesn't want to slow them down. They come upon a corpse hanging from a tree with a "rapist" sign hung from the body. Luke is super disturbed (as would be the normal reaction), June is like same old, same old (her normal is a little different these days) but tells him it wasn't done by Gilead because they "don't use words" (that's only Fred when he's creepy scrabble foreplaying). I wondered if maybe June's murderwoods shenanigans with Fred had spread word and inspired some like minded action in NML?? But am now inclined to think it may have something to do with the people at the end of the episode (not to get ahead). Then it's day again and they finally reach the geocache, but before they can unearth the treasure they are accosted by a young guardian with a gun who I think would actually really love Prince had he been given any chance to know who that was, and it makes me sad that I'm certain he doesn't get the reference. I am going to call this character Guardian Timothee Chalamet from hereon despite later learning his name, Jaeden (they said NO NAMES, Luke) because that's literally all I could think of as soon as we met him. Luke is flustered but June, well accustomed to teenage boys in black training guns on her, doesn’t blink. “Beret”, motherfucker.
Timmy Chalamet is a little brusque and a bit suspicious at first, but he  to warms up quickly once they get to his favorite playfort hideout for shirking patrol duties in (don't blame him, it looks cold and boring out there): an abandoned bowling alley that somehow still has power (guess they found a loophole with the electric company), although they still have to reset the pins manually? Timmy gives them some very basic info on the wives schools (like basically the same info June got from Nick with the added episode-themed commentary reassurance that the "Plums" are treated like princesses, at least for the short time they're there before being married off to potentially old abusive pedos anyway (side note: I kind of love that they have slang like the "plums" and it made me wonder what other Gilead slang has developed amongst certain demographics). But never fear! There is a mysterious thumb drive that holds all the answers (ok I am also kind of side-eyeing looking at you on this one, though, Margaret Atwood--#TT #IYKYK). Why do I have a feeling the thumb drive is not going to make it... Anyway, Timmy C tells them they should stay and hang out because it's too dangerous to go back during the day (even though they were just out there in the daytime, honestly, I think the kid is just lonely but can't really blame him). Luckily his youthful charm is so infectious that Luke immediately forgets that he thinks anyone coming from Gilead is automatically an evil monster (replay start of 2x08 bar scene) and becomes bff’s with him, and anyway he's really excited to bowl because he just really loves bowling. I guess they don’t have bowling alleys in Canada anymore?. Ensue very unwise loud competition and man hollering from this bro fest, which makes June understandably disconcerted, as they are hiding out in enemy patrolled territory, theoretically trying not to get killed.
Luke is like June just needs to chill, how about some music and plays some truly absurd old timey songs on the piano that just happens to be there, before doing what he's been dying to do and busting out his falsetto "Let's Stay Together". A variety of emotions cross June's face, ranging from uncomfortable, affectionately amused, contemplative, conflicted, nostalgic, guilty, sad. She sort of looks like she wishes she could jump in with him and surrender to the sentiment whole heartedly, but her heart is not there and she knows it. She can’t quite bring herself to look him in the eyes, looking down when he tries to catch them. Noticing this, he clowns more for laughs and coaxes her to dance with him, and she finally gives in to the (deceptively) carefree feel of the moment, while sweet bb guardian Timothee finds extra mood lighting (cutest third wheel ever). Also, honorable mention to "Did you write that song?"..."yeah I did"... "wow, that's really good" (oh, the innocence!). I left out the part where they ask him about his life in Gilead and he tells them life "before" is "foggy, like a dream", because this was one heavy handed parallel too many on the Hannah front (and yes, I get it, the episode is called Fairytale). Am curious where they guy got beers from though (black market?) and how he smuggled a cooler full into his hideout without anyone noticing.

(which one of these is supposed to be “I’m so in love with this guy singing to me”?)
Then the game's over and they’re taking the scarywoods night shortcut (in hindsight maybe not the best idea but maybe the GROWNUPS here could have sussed that one out). Of course our sweet pure Guardian friend steps on a landmine (we knew from the beginning he was going to be a red shirt, didn't we?), looks terrified but bravely tells them to get back and it's probably fine before he moves a hair and gets blown to smithereens. Just kidding, he just got his leg blown off. He's starting to bleed out and June quickly and calmly goes to work with applying a belt tourniquet (apparently another skill she picked up as a rebel handmaid resistance fighter, or from Youtube) while Luke looks on in horrified shock, a second away from puking (I mean no shade, I'm sure I would, too). Jaeden Timothee Chalament’s guardian friends are calling to him and he White Fang's June and Luke to GTFO so they don't get caught, Luke hesitates and June pulls him up to desperately dash for the border. As she flees, she flashes back--to her and Hannah running in the woods, her running to lead the guardian away in the woods to save Angel's Flight--and this really got me, I found it one of the most (probably the most) genuinely compelling moments of the episode. We end with them surrounded and being dragged away in different directions (foreshadowing perhaps?? who knows). So let us review: every time June gives in to these carefree moments Luke initiates (largely in attempts to win her back as his wife), every time she overlooks her better judgement to concede to his (often ill-founded) optimism, something bad happens. This was the case when Gilead first rose to power and they didn't get out fast enough, and it's still happening now. She lets her guard down, the "old June" starts to seep in, and then BLAMMO, GILEAD IN YOUR FACE, again. Can we just learn the lesson already, June? Honestly, she's already broken the promise she made to Nick like two episodes ago, to keep herself and Nicole safe, because she followed Luke on this half-assed idea to wander into Gilead-patrolled no-man's-land with no gun, no protection and no real plan aside from "find some dude and quote him Prince", so he could "prove himself" or something. To be honest, I actually respected Luke a lot more for doing his thing, that he knows and does well. Fighting with building codes and fundraising  and research file folders and making connections with American bureaucrats. It's certainly not the most effective or quickest way to fight Gilead, but at least it’s something and most wars require multiple levels and strategies of offense and defense. That's his wheelhouse, it's who he is, and he can still be that and also support June in her own way of fighting. And if he really is moved to try her way himself (genuinely, not as some desperate ego driven attempt to not lose her), he needs to get some knowledge because at present he is just not well equipped and is more of a liability than an asset. June may be impulsive and sometimes downright reckless but she at least knows the enemy, she knows the game they're playing and how deadly it is. Luke is trying to play checkers in a game of wizard's chess. His pushing of this mission, in all his inexperience and naïveté , combined with June's natural impulsiveness, her desperation over Hannah AND her eagerness to embrace this new side of Luke that is finally embracing the active fighting side in her, gets them into trouble. And the "fairytale" comes crashing down around them.

I just saw the scene where Luke goes to his parents house on his birthday and blows out the candle with them.... you have no idea how much that hurt. Like. On a personal level. I had no idea I'd be crying so hard because of this show. Help--
Oof yes this show can hit really hard, I'm sorry :(( Also if that scene made you sad then I'm gonna warn you about episode 8 because there's one scene in it that is similar to that one only it also has a very emotional song. But also it's a really good song!!!
