seeing ppl say that soukoku being translated as double black is incorrect again.
its a pun. 双黒 (soukoku) means double black but sounds the same as 相克 (soukoku) meaning rivalry, which is what youll get if you ask google translate what soukoku is bc double black skk is not a common word

Question: Since the mutation that makes sphynx cats nakey (their hair is fragile and sucks) can just happen at random. How would a Clan treat a nakey cat born among them? Could they make them a coat?
I think, at first, there would be concern that it's some kind of sign. Hairlessness looks like mange, a very serious and contagious condition. This could be a terrible omen-- that mange will be brought down to us.
But it would become apparent the kitten isn't a fader, it isn't a StarClan warrior who came down to deliver the others, or a mere sign. It's pink and wrinkled, like a newborn rodent, but moves as the other kits do. Did StarClan... forget its fur?
There's another feared creature without any fur-- humans. It looks human.
I think the poor thing would have a lot of problems with the other cats its age and maybe the more superstitious members of the Clan, but a warrior of the Clan is a warrior of the Clan. Life would be harder for them, but there would still be love that exists.
They'd be capable of making them a coat, and they WOULD need it, but I can see that cat trying to go without it for fear of being made fun of. That's another thing humans do-- wear pelts all over themselves because they have no fur of their own.
Unfortunately they'd also be prone to a ton of really bad health problems. This poor guy would be in the Cleric's den a lot, and may need to retire early or focus on campbound activities.
Health problems;
Pelt is a LOT weaker; injuries from battle or even training would be a lot more severe, Cleric may recommend them not taking part in fights.
Skin becomes filthy, and needs special cleaning. There is no fur to absorb the oil that the skin naturally makes to keep the coat healthy, causing buildup.
Even with proper cleaning, the skin is super prone to rashes, lesions, and constant irritation. Wash TOO MUCH and the skin will become dry and chapped.
SUNBURN. Especially in WindClan, where the warrior might spend a lot of time on the open moor in daylight, and RiverClan, where light reflecting off the water could cause an intense burn. It would be recommended the warrior take night shifts, but this could be an issue because night is cold. (BB!Cats are crepuscular).
Additionally; such severe, uniquely-placed sunburns are something Clerics wouldn't see very often. Lack of medical experience with these sorts of injuries could prove dangerous.
Ear infections. Cats naturally have hair in their ears, which their earwax production accounts for.
Both heatstroke AND frostbite. Very bad temperature regulation leading to severe ailments. Fur helps stabilize body temperature.
So in conclusion...
Life would be very difficult for this individual. Fur isn't just full-body hair; it's almost as fundamental as a top layer of skin. This would be a serious disability for a Clan cat to have, and it may invoke the image of detested humans leading to social stigmatization.
But because they're clanborn, they are unambiguously a member of the Clan. It's likely that the Clan would make clothing for this warrior out of fur pelts, but in their struggle with internalized ableism, they might have conflicted feelings about wearing it.
The Cleric would recommend campbound activities, night shifts, and WEARING YOUR PELT, DAMN IT. They would need to take full baths every few days, not too much and not too little, plus frequent ear cleanings.

oh what about jin/azula. obv jin is most likely straight and definitely could do way better but she has in fact been shown to be so patient. and i think azula having a crush on a super normal girl could be so important
okay well @kyoshi-lesbians has in fact persuaded me already so yeah im here for it. mostly because jin is in fact completely fucking insane but also very normie passing and so they could be really funny together. like she would put up with so much shit from azula with a smile on her face but also she’d be so forward and confident and azula really needs someone who will help her navigate romance without judgement bc the poor girl is. so awkward. also i like that jin is working class and from the city azula literally occupied, bc then them being together signifies growth in more ways than one. obviously if at any point azula is like “yes i did perform the perfect silent coup on your city” she’d obviously have to follow it up with “but im a completely different person now and ive since dedicated my life to running a daycare for sky bison rescues & healing the sick and elderly.” but like. you know how it is

Crowley was NOT sent to kill Job's kids
Every once in a while I come across someone who's missed that detail, so I feel a need to post about it: Crowley (or "Crawly" at the time) was not sent to kill Job's kids.
I'll let Aziraphale explain, since he cracked the case and earned a rare compliment from our "funny-looking angel":
I knew it! Wind, I assume. That's what Satan really has planned. A mighty wind from the wilderness to smite the mansion and bring it down upon them.
And later, Crowley says:
Oh. They've started early. Well... Might as well get comfortable.
Who's "they"? Well, whoever actually was sent to kill the kids.
So, Crowley decided to sneak in and save Job's kids all by himself. He wasn't supposed to be there. Maybe he volunteered to do the goats or something.
A mystery remains, though. Did Crowley plan to confront Aziraphale during his little mission? Or was that an accident?
Bonus -- the compliment exchange:
Ooh, aren't you brilliant? Actually I, I think getting us all in the cellar was very clever.
Tumblr media
(Aw, look at the hair -- Crowley is doing his little headshake! And then they get interrupted by Ennon.)

people do not give buddy daddies enough credit for being as UNHINGED as it is. in the beginning it’s like oh!! a goofy dysfunctional found family sitcom!! but then the sprinkling of ✨past trauma✨ turns into a lowkey devastating exploration of guilt and loss and subtle commentary on the concept of obligation in parenthood and the importance of healing before trying to raise someone else. and all of this is happening at the same time as the comedy!! rei is barely a human being because he was never raised as one. kazuki literally watched his wife die horrifically right in front of him. rei puts chocolate cereal in onigiri. kazuki truly believes he birthed miri himself. haha oh man there’s a “bring your child to work day” ep........as in they’re all getting SHOT AT. and lest we forget but the reason they ended up with miri in the first place is because they killed her dad! like that was a thing that happened! and even if he wasn’t involved in her life at all, that’s still something they would hypothetically have to explain to her in the future. and now with this recent ep, where miri’s mother and last known blood relative, is also killed as a result of kazuki and rei’s occupation.....but kazuki and rei ultimately make the insane decision to somehow leave their very dangerous line of work behind and properly become miri’s dads.....................like what are they thinking??? what is going to happen???? will they be okay????????????????? there is really no way of knowing and THAT my friends will haunt me until next friday

Question: what's everyone's biggest pet peeve when it comes to Jason's characterization? In terms of rewriting his time as Robin, or maybe even some stuff as Red Hood? Or maybe something you see people take from fanon and it's like.. that has no canon basis whatsoever, or alternatively something that has canon basis but people think it's fanon?

Throne-Stealing Where?
It's always hilarious to me when I see/hear someone calling Azula anything along the lines of "power-hungry despot".
Hungry for power? More like hungry for family/relationship harmony and rules. If anything, she gives power away to others! She helped Zuko get back the throne and (conditional) fatherly appreciation that he so desired, with her only request being that he side with her and their nation (that's not asking for very much, from her POV, mind you)! She gave Mai a higher position than even her noble parents had and a chance to become a Fire Royal Consort through marriage to her long-time crush, Azula's brother, Prince Zuko! She (albeit after first forcefully taking her away from her preferred surroundings) gave Ty Lee another, more exciting way (based on how much fun we see Ty Lee having) to feel different/special and like "her own person"! She never used more force than was necessary when fighting her adversaries and only went "too far" when the situation seemed to call for it due to the risk to her person if she did nothing! (Which may have been a soul-destroying choice for everyone that was there [except Zuko]. Even Azula is implied to have felt like a monster for killing Aang, during that conversation they had on Ember Island!) A 14 year old felt forced to kill, people! That affects the one doing it, too! Why does next to no one ever ask what Aang was even planning on doing once in the avatar state while they were in the catacombs? Especially from the POV if one of his enemies? Play hopscotch and do super gymnastics? Doubt it!
Now, please correct me if I'm wrong but, wouldn't a despot be preoccupied with looking for ways to change the surrounding cultures that they come into contact with? Instead, after she leaves Ba Sing Se, for example, she keeps it exactly as she found it; with the only change being the new Earth Kingdom-originated ruler she places in charge. The people of the EK didn't have anything change for them for better or worse, as far as I can recall. Yes, we do see her trying to break through the wall of Ba Sing Se with that more advanced technology and she is imperialistic (which is something wrong in itself and which can be very brutal). But that's not automatically the same as being a dictator or snatching up bits of power from others in any way she can. And in the end she conquered it by instead using the true, least offensive (in multiple ways) means possible.
As for that period just before the final agni kai we see in show, where she was going to be crowned? She was granted that title by the current Fire Lord aka her father, after her back-on-the-clock brother defected (so willingly left).
u·surp
/yo͞oˈsərp/
verb
take (a position of power or importance) illegally or by force. "Richard usurped the throne"
Based on that dictionary definition, how can she be usurping Zuko's position if, again, the FL himself is giving it to her and if Zuko gave it up? She's literally getting it "legally" (the FL is the law) and without using any force!
Now of course there's a rabbit hole argument that some may try and use by saying that because Ozai himself took his brother's throne without Iroh's consent (was it without his consent? Iroh seems to never be in a rush to be FL), that Azula getting the throne is therefore usurpation. Ummm, I hate to nip that point in the bud so soon but, Zuko is Ozai's son, not Iroh's. That means that (assuming the child of the by-birth king/queen is the only one that should gain the throne next if the king/queen is unable or unwilling) based on that logic, neither teenager should be allowed to sit on the throne.
Kinda hard to usurp a title from someone who "legally" shouldn't have it either, right? Oh Iroh, if only you'd just done your damn job.
All that being said, literally all this girl was doing is finding ways to handle her job and fulfill the tasks of it that she's been given at such an inappropriate age, while amassing the least amount of damage possible. And along the way she tried to extend a hand to her family and friends too, almost as a sort of "sorry for the inconveniences/thank you for your cooperation and loyalty". (She may have even learned some things about herself and others along the way—or could have, if she had been allowed just one more minute of screen time and the writing choice of change that the other Fire Nation kids got.)
Yet somehow many people come away from this show with the idea that she's trying to purposely take control of or harm as many people as possible in every way possible without any care at all for others' wants. I know at least two characters that that partly or fully applies to, and neither of them are Azula.

it's fascinating to me the way people ( jsc and others ) will use the term "got under her skin" in regards to her feelings for roman. i think it's in part to do with gerri's inability to feel for the sake of emotion. she's the woman in a man's world, if she's kind: she's showing weakness. if she cries or gets angry: she's too emotional. she is so calculated in her emotions, in the way they are displayed and perceived, i think that's the only fitting term, really.
he got under her skin. he chiseled away the mask, and what's devastating about that is he could see her if he knew how to look, but he doesn't. roman has no idea just how much he's affected gerri.
gerri can feel him there beneath her ribs, far too close, and rome doesn't even realize he's done it.
