I don't remember the last time I posted but I want to be more active on the hellsite so going pspspsps at the One Piece fandom.

This is my very self-indulgent OC Shoni D. Corian! The image ID includes all my words in case you can't read my handwriting, which will be right under his backstory. But heyyyy if you have One Piece OCs we should be friends :] I love the silly pirate anime sooo much. I would love to talk to ppl about both my OCs and the anime in general!!

(Spoilers for Sabaody Park/Amazon Lily Arc) [This is also headcanoning that the Kuja Pirates are/were a part of the D Clan] To make a long story short, Shoni used to be a slave and was stolen from the Kuja Tribe when he was around 6 years old. He stayed a slave for several years and at some point was forced to eat the Zoom-Zoom fruit for their entertainment. When it did nothing spectacular, they were upset and threw him into a tower prison where he would watch people all hours of the day. He was only able to escape when he caught the eye of a high-ranking Marine. They noticed his observant nature and his ability to see things from far away. They made a deal with him when he was about 12 years old that they would help fake his death if he came with them. This did succeed in Shoni's escape but the Marine was killed as they were seen responsible for losing Shoni. He escaped back to Amazon Lily, but no longer felt like he belonged there. He still trained and joined the Kuja Pirates at 14 but left not even a year later. He had expressed his desire to be seen as a man and as a result, did not want to disrespect their own culture. They sent him off with food and a tearless goodbye, at least while he was still able to see them. The rest of his years were left wandering and honing his skills even more. He learned to read lips, and listen without being noticed. Some were things he had learned from his time in Marijoa so it was just a matter of getting better. The Celestial Dragons would no longer recognize him by the time he was 18, having gone through his transition through secret channels. He became an informant of types, researching and selling information on whoever was asked of him. It didn't matter who it was, Marine or Pirate. The only information he didn't sell was his own and if it was even discussed it was usually at an exorbitant price. Having grown up on Amazon Lily, he was used to imbuing his attacks with Haki and was particularly adept with a bow. Long range is his preference, but he is not afraid of switching to close-range should the situation arise. It made him a more formidable force that he was eventually noticed by the World Government. They recognized him, had dug deep to find out who he was. They held his freedom over his head and offered a deal. It was the same one he had been given years ago. "In return for your freedom, you will find out anything we want to know." Except there was one more condition. "Avoid the Silent Century." It was never something he had been interested in in the past, so he accepted. There really was no choice but to accept or else he would return to being a slave and likely die that way.

also as a fallen-out-of-religion-because-i'm-gay gay, I do actually really dig this religious element to their relationship because I feel like 'epic' romantic relationships framed through a religious lens in a positive way is a type of story that gay people are largely left out of for obvious reasons. Pete is clearly genuinely a spiritual person based on his paying respects in Vegas' house, with Vegas whether its sincere or not is yet to be seen. but watching Pete pour the water for both he and Vegas was very touching for me, it made me crave those beautiful strings that can be tied between faith and human relationships

I've talked about this some over in Twitter land, but I will slide over the idea of Toppat Johnny Panzer/ or someone or someones on the museum crew working with the Toppats.

The idea started as a silly thing but kind of has grown into something slightly bigger.

We all know Mayor Gene Fredrickson is actually a Toppat who was undercover to steal the Tunisian Diamond, but unless grandpa still happens to lift (looks at Dmitri and his leg game) I think Gene had others with him to help with stealing this diamond.

And what better undercover help then someone from the museum guard crew, and my mind first goes to Johnny on being the traitor.

His bio card mentions that he has risen through the ranks quickly and that he is skilled. Which makes some sense since his dad is Hershell. (armor wearing guy in the Government if you don't know)

But what if the real reason that Johnny rose through the ranks quickly was because Gene used his post as mayor to pull some strings and get Johnny to his position to get closer to the diamond?

And if Johnny is a Toppat in disguise, he would probably ride with Rupert on that one route to stop Henry because he needs the diamond back at the museum so he can steal it for the Toppats. He gets rocked by Henry but even if he didn't, the diamond was probably still as good as gone.

Also thinking about Johnny being the reason Dave got captured, maybe Dave saw something that he shouldn't involving Gene or other Toppats and he went to get someone to help stop them. Poor Dave happens to find Johnny and then realizes his mistake when Johnny reveals his true loyalty.

Another thought of who could be a Toppat in hiding is Ted McAdams, with him and Winston having worked together for many years before Breaking the Bank, he probably would have known about Winston's crimes after the two were relieved of their duties, (I think Ted quit) maybe they found a place among the Toppats, with Ted working undercover while Winston worked as more of a planner or idea guy.

And no one would see Ted as a Toppat coming, they would just see this chill dude who had a wacky ordeal happen to him.

There are probably other possibilities for traitors or even the possibility of more then one undercover Toppat. Or Gene was just going to casually solo stealing that diamond and bring it to the Airship if it wasn't for Henry.

actually very pissed off. just got to my desk and it seems someone has come in to clean. in the process, they have moved things around on my desk including a monitor, my plant and sticky notes, and binned a bottle i had kept on my desk PURPOSEFULLY so i could reuse it, as it was a big bottle that i actually brought ALL THE WAY BACK FROM ITALY with me last year. for 10 weeks i have worked here and never has anyone touched shit on my desk or cleaned in our office. i'm actually upset. i am seriously upset. I have recently discovered the joy of listening to audiobooks via bluetooth speaker while showering, and it’s been a great boost to my day. I get free audiobooks from the library, and now I listen to them obsessively while I cook or clean or shower. It’s a wonderful escape from studying, and I get to have some fun while doing basic adult tasks.
