You know i think people should write more of Khoa being jealous of Joker or at least those in Gotham. Like Khoa matter so much to Bruce in the early day and even now but he's been gone for most of his life, and if there's one constant person that has matter so much to Bruce in his life after that Joker is the one. Khoa wish he'd turn away from Gotham but Bruce wouldn't do it and as a result he too wouldn't look away from those in it (Joker, Harvey, Selina). I think he should find this annoying because no matter what he do if compare to them, Bruce would always look at their way more. Your ghostbat fic really show that tbh. Him wanting to keep Khoa close but also him always feeling the pull towards Joker, towards Gotham

It'd definitely be something interesting to explore in more stories! Comics included. Ghostmaker comes to Gotham after Joker War and singles out Clownhunter, but it always struck me as fascinating how his whole spiel would've made a lot more sense applied to Joker himself:

Leaving aside the fact that Bao only became Clownhunter because of Joker's actions... protecting twisted and unrepentant killers, huh? Because Bruce cares too much and thinks everyone can be saved, huh?

But also you're getting at a facet of the core conflict between Bruce and Khoa, and that's Bruce's fatal attachment to Gotham. He chose Gotham over Khoa before he even became Batman... there's no way he'd leave it now, after sacrificing decades of his life to the city. I think Khoa definitely knows that, and it's why he's staying in Gotham right now; he knows Bruce would never leave. However, it's got to sting, one way or another. At the end of the day, Khoa is compromising and giving more than Bruce is. Which is the state of 90% of Bruce's relationships, actually... and it's why we've already seen other characters struggle with it. Selina, perhaps, is the one most resigned to it, although it's clearly quite bitter:

And that's coming from Catwoman and Batman's almost-wife, someone who grew up in Gotham and is undeniably part of it.

But would love to see Khoa's struggle with this, yes! It's different for him in a lot of ways, since he's less keen on acknowledging that he does make emotion-driven choices. Being jealous of the way Bruce is hung up on Gotham and the people in it would make for delicious angst in the Khoa-admits-he-has-Feelings department.

Though I'll admit, addressing the Joker-shaped elephant in the room is particularly fascinating to me because of the way he hasn't been directly talked about. Joker objectively impacted the lives of all characters involved in Ghostmaker's introduction arc, Bruce being the most obvious of all; but you also have Bao and Harley. And Khoa does pick Harley's brain about it. He calls Joker "one of the most dangerous men on the planet" and shows curiosity over Harley's relationship with him. It feels strange that we haven't been shown Khoa confronting Bruce about Joker, especially because of the timing of Khoa's appearance (post Joker War) and Khoa's accusation of Bruce caring too much, and that making him a failure. The glaring implication here is that Bruce fails because he refuses to let Joker die too (Joker War's ending still doesn't count as that, seeing as Bruce literally made sure Joker would be able to survive before making a statement through leaving), much like he refuses to let Khoa kill Bao or Bao kill Harley. It'd make so much logical sense to have a moment in which Khoa is like "Bruce, you've been fighting this clown-themed motherfucker for like two decades and he's getting worse and worse. You're not helping him, you're not killing him, you're not containing him. What the fuck are you doing??" Hence that fic of mine you mentioned, Anon. I really needed a scene in which Khoa did this.

But I realize this notable empty space within the story is probably due to Tynion not wanting to address Joker's influence. Ghostmaker's introduction arc includes fighting and traumatizing Bruce into being better... the same method Joker employed in Joker War (and not only). Not to mention the psychopathy, the obsession with Bruce, and the common theme between Khoa and Joker when it comes to refusing to admit that their past matters. There's plenty of parallels there, and avoiding them just makes the lack of addressing it more glaring to me. Within Universe though, it manages to come across as Khoa avoiding the subject, which is its own kind of angsty fun for a multi-shipper.

Got long again, lmao. Sorry about that. But yeah, it's fascinating that you've got the (arguably) "good" pre-Batman psychopath and then the "evil" post-Batman psychopath and Bruce is Unhinged about both of them, but in distinctly different ways. I'm very excited about Batman Inc. (2022) #8 now, since the cover and previews indicate Khoa might take on Joker! I really hope it'll be written well. Technically Joker's in his divorce era and him coming back to Gotham and the whole Joker Inc. thing... trying to figure out where the hell that falls in the timeline of Joker: The Man Who Stopped Laughing, since Failsafe hasn't taken place there yet. Or what Joker's motivations are, or if that'll even be the real Joker. But either way, there better be some good drama!! Fingers crossed.

#though fics like that are lacking also because of the widely-held fandom stance of 'we hate Joker' #which once again. I couldn't agree more. It's crucial for everyone to take his words seriously and it's my wish to be what he wished for. I admire, respect & support both xiao zhan & yibo whole-heartedly. It's not fair for you to judge & say that this isn't fan love.

Bjyx is a fandom made up of different individuals. Not only bjyx, any fandom or group of people in this world will have the same concept.

Now, let's talk about generalization.

You can't simply generalize a group or fandom & labelling them as a whole harmful existence. Every fandom has their own good & toxic fans. You don't have any control over that. Surely, all kind of people exist in bjyx BUT same goes with solo fans. There's no exception.

It's like labelling the whole Wen clan as evil when you know very well that Wen Ning and Wen Qing aren't the same kind. In fact, they are Jiang clan's life savior. It's totally unfair.

If either xiao zhan or yibo hates bjyx & don't want any fans to associate them with each other, they would've addressed this many years ago to stop. Like how they made clear stand to some of other cps & supertopics. If you ask me for proof, again, you can just find them through my reblog posts. You can easily see them right away. That is, if you really care to read & bother to know.

Let me use back your words- It's been 4 years since the show finished- but the fandom is still standing strong & able to fill in the whole arena. Just to highlight, xiao zhan & yibo have zero public interaction together since the past few years but the numbers of new bjyx fan is still continue growing until today. The irony. How is this possible? For what reason? The normal cp fandom will eventually dies down once the main actors moving to the new project in the same year. Do you ever wonder what's the reason behind this fandom to stay this long for years? Both of them don't have any same project, no collaboration together. No promotion. Literally nothing. Then how? Funny isn't it?

It still remains mystery to think of why until today, xz & yibo never clarify & make statements to clear the air that they are just close friends. They can easily shut down the fandom in one go. It turns out, I'm still not done venting about the SN's smear document and the grievances with my November posts they used to defend contextualize the fakeclaiming and misgendering posts from the admin about me.

A recent post from Lunastus reminded me of this bullet point.

This threw me for a loop because this quote isn't even mine.

It was from the Lunastus Collective who coined the term.

Sure, I reblogged it and defended it, but it wasn't my quote and it's so weird to see this attributed to me.

But with this latest round of drama SAS started, I also want to talk about the drama surrounding the word endogenic and its coiner.

Recap for those who missed that ridiculous drama: The LC coined the term in 2014. In 2021, SAS found a 2015 article that loosely associated the word "endogenic" with Freud supporting the fantasy model. SAS specifically claimed that "the term 'endogenic' can be traced all the way back to Freud's work in 1956!"

But on further investigation, every paper prior to that used a similar but different term, endogenous.

In the end, "endogenic system" is a term 100% coined by the Lunastus Collective.

Endogenic was never used to refer to systems before that.

Now, rather than admit they were wrong, SAS and their entitled cronies doubled down and claimed the words were still too similar, then had the gall to demand an apology from the LC for the baseless made-up manufactured drama.

I've seen some argue that their issue was less with the term and more with the response. That they felt their feelings were being dismissed. (And that part, yeah, was mostly me.)

The problem is that not all feelings deserve to be validated. Not everyone who feels they're in the right actually is. Sometimes in life, you're just on the wrong side, and humoring your feelings will do more harm than good.

Personally, I think The Lunastus Collective deserves an apology for the harassment they received over SAS's smear campaign.

Now, coming back to the latest round of manufactured drama today... let me tell you what these experiences have taught me.

These people don't have "morals." They have friends and enemies.

If you're lucky enough to find yourself on the former list, expect them to loyally turn a blind eye to your wrongdoings for as long as they reasonably can. And when they can't, you can depend on them to make a 20-bullet-point list of things your victim did to deserve it. (Much of which will be fabricated, twisted or taken out of context.)

If you're an enemy, expect them to comb over every word you say. Expect them to twist your words and outright lie about you. Anything to justify their hate of you and manipulate others to feel the same.

This is, unfortunately, their modus operandi.

The thing is, I think they overplayed their hand this time.

I don't think people are really buying the whole "wanting anti-endos to be ostracized is literally worse than death threats or suibait" talking point they have going on.

It's comically overdramatic and, frankly, minimizes the real harm of death threats and suibait in favor of a cheap talking point.

Obviously, people who hate me will continue to hate me and the usual suspects are jumping on it hard as always.

But their posts about this aren't generating much engagement, which SAS's usually do. Usually a couple days into one of SAS's smears, I might have lost a few followers that will take me a whole day or two to regain or I'll get a couple hate anons relating to it.

This feels different. Especially if people were buying the severity of the allegations SAS and pals are trying to push. I have no doubt everyone would be rightly enraged if I were sending actual threats of violence.

But I'm not seeing that here.

I hope this means people are waking up to the lies and manipulation tactics they use, and will start thinking critically about SAS's past smears of both myself and other systems. Admittedly, this might be too much to hope for.

Freedom of speech but not freedom from consequences. Anti-censorship but we still don’t want to platform bigots 🫤 Coming from a neutral party, I think you could learn a lot from listening to all perspectives to avoid echo chambers. Form your own opinion instead of following a crowd. My opinion? Hate the person, not the ship. Don’t judge a book by it’s cover, but that is what the book cover is made for. I think it’s healthier if you and everyone else stopped trying to be antagonistic? How are you supposed to spread positivity if you’re always on the verge of angry ranting?

Okay I'm going to try and answer for the sake of the people who might read this kind of bs in their inboxes and be affected negatively by it, and maybe even feel like they're being unfair towards the very bullies which spend their energies harassing and insulting (and sometimes also doxxing and suicide bating) us.

Let's break this down.

1. "freedom of speech but not freedom from consequences" I can't even talk about some dark themes in fiction or my own personal history of real life abuse without getting termed here. Erotic art can't be posted almost anywhere at this point, and not just the kind antis dislike. Freedom is a construct on social media because ultimately these spaces are owned by someone, and you'll be kicked out if they don't like you.

2 "we don't want to platform bigots" no, absolutely we don't. Historically, giving a platform to bigots and hatemongers fosters hate, violence and censorship. Also I have no power to platform or deplatform anyone, I'm just a guy on tumblr, so I don't even know what you're on about with this. If I had the power to decide, trust me that I would kick the terfs the fuck out of here anyways. And also the cowards who hide under the anon cover to send hate and threats.

3 "listen to perspectives and avoid echo chambers" I'm over 30 and I've been a kinkster for most of my life. I'm queer. Among other things, history and queer history are in my field of studies. I have a little rant lol.

In general, the entire acotar fandom is immature and toxic (I honestly think its gotten so bad since nesta's book came out). Most of these people are grown women and men arguing back and forth about characters and ships. It's bad enough that its been going on for years that its sad. "I'll laugh at the elriels or gwnyriels or the eluciens if their ship isnt endgame" Do the people who say that realize how embarrassing they are? Many people are going to have good and terrible theories but bashing people and harassing people over fictional characters is just immature. I also hate when they say "its that [insert ship] the one who is being the most toxic and weird" NO. its all of you. None of us know who is going to be endgame no matter the theories you have or anything. YOU DONT KNOW. So, please, can we stop this already? its getting annoying and weird. This fandom has made it incredibly difficult to know who the next book is going to be about when its right in front of their eyes. Sarah has not made it impossible to know who the next will be about and I think thats why shes been so quiet about because everyone is being so aggressive about this ship war. I just know the moment she announces the couple, she'll get a ton of hate when its not even her fault because people love to twist her words on paper and thinks she's probably doing that but it could mean a whole other thing. Yall have let theories get to your head and twisted words so much that I think it's incredibly unhealthy for all of you to be acting this way. Stick with who you ship or love and of course, you can have beautiful theories, but toxicity is not necessary. No need to go back and forth about who is the real "endgame".

I have always made it clear what i believe acceptable behavior for discourse in this fandom is and isn't. It's not something I can personally enforce for others, but I can follow myself.

It really is crazy how out of hand this fandom has gotten because other people can't control themselves. If I see an anti Elriel post I don't like (and I don't follow any tags, actually, so I see ALL the ships posting), I have the self control to ignore it and keep scrolling.

This fandom has been overrun by childish adults, intent on being louder than the rest. It's crazy how many disgusting things have been said over just fictional characters, it makes me wonder what these people are like in real life.

At the end of the day - there's going to be a book and one side is going to be proven right. It's not worth all these vitriol that's been spewed across all sides just to "be right". I at least, would be perfectly fine to read an Elucien book. If Elriel does happen, I'm certainly not going to lord it over anyone's head and laugh.

delusions aren't morally "bad" or "wrong". holding deep feelings abt a character isn't inherently delusion-based and also isn't morally "bad" or "wrong". and neither of those is the same as -- speaking from experience (above content warnings come into play here) -- being obsessed with a character to the point that you self-isolate and emotionally self harm because you wish so badly that the character was real and you believe there isn't a point to life if you'll never meet that character... and this is also not inherently delusion-based and ALSO not morally "bad" or "wrong".

these separate things -- delusions, deep feelings, and unhealthy obsession -- CAN intersect but just as often don't. none are immoral, and all are deserving of being approached with compassion and respect, in whatever way is most appropriate.

negative, harmful ACTIONS that some people take in these states are worth bringing up to them when it's safe to do so, depending on the details of their situation, but the states themselves don't have any moral weight. ie, if someone's harassing others for sharing their f/o because they're in a dark, obsessive place, that is a morally negative ACTION, not a morally negative mental state. they need to take responsibility for harm they've CAUSED, not for what they're experiencing internally.

but if you're calling people "immature" or "delusional" as an insult, something tells me you're not really considering that! whether through malice or just a lack of compassion, you don't see worth in how another person approaches this community.

you aren't better for thinking of a character a certain way, and neither is the person you're being ableist towards. if no harm is being done to you or others, you're just being a dick for the sake of being a dick. listen to other people, learn, and do better.

if you think someone is genuinely in a bad mental place because of selfshipping (wrt isolating and self harm), approach them as another human being. meet them where they're at. don't patronize them, don't call them "delusional", treat them like someone who has their own thoughts and values.

they may want help, or they may not, and you have to respect them for their choice no matter what YOU think is right. there is no truly right way to approach someone who's in a dark place, but you can at least avoid saying things that FOR SURE will make them feel talked down to, belittled, or shamed. if they aren't ready now, maybe they will be ready for help in the future, and shutting them down will make them less likely to seek that help.

This is my blog for venting and just talking about bigotry. I didn't want to clog my main too much with these types of posts since a lot of them involve discoursey topics. This is not a blog that I plan to use to argue with other people under most circumstances. I'm using this blog to vent about my experiences, no matter how big or small they are. Just because I reblog from someone doesn't mean that I agree with everything they say and do. What it DOES mean is that I think they made a good point in that specific post they made.

-Many white queers have a problem with using their queerness to try and avoid accountability for their white privilege and racism. There is a HUGE racism problem in both online and real life queer spaces.

-Gender criticals are enormous pieces of shit with a very flawed view of sex and gender.

-The hyperpolicing of lesbianism on here is super lesbophobic. Stop obsessing over lesbians not conforming to your neat little cis fem white woman centric boxes. Let lesbians have some gender fuckery without frothing at the mouth.

-Bi lesbians/gays do not hurt mono lesbians/gays by existing. We are not responsible for homophobic cishets harassing you guys and saying that we are is violently biphobic. Stop being a narrowminded cishet bootlicker, assholes.

-Straight passing privilege does not exist. Invisibility and erasure is not a privilege.

-Lesbian separatism as an ideology is transphobic, biphobic, lesbophobic, and racist. If you defend lesbian separatism or pretend that it was even remotely okay then you are a bad person, straight-up.

-Intersexism is rampant in trans spaces. We are not your transition goals, we are not your gotcha to use against TERFs, and we are not nonbinary icons by default. The diversity of the intersex experience is unfathomable because of how many intersex conditions there are and how intersex conditions are viewed across the globe.

-Slur discourse is pointless at best and a straight-up psyop at worst. Let a bisexual call themself a dyke, let a transmasc call themself a tranny, let a lesbian call themself a faggot. I promise that it's not hurting you when other queer people reclaim slurs. Quit your victim complex.

-Butch and femme have always belonged to the whole queer community and have NEVER been lesbian exclusive. Denying that is spitting on ballroom culture- in other words, you're racist and transphobic as hell. Furthermore, Black non-lesbians have more claim to butch and femme than ANY white lesbian does. Read more here. It's a Carrd, yes, but it's a Carrd with actual sources, which is more than you can say for literally every Carrd written by exclusionists that you all choose to use anyways.

-Queer is not a slur and it's up to you to avoid people who use the word if it makes you that uncomfortable.

-Flag discourse is ridiculous. If you hate a flag that badly, just don't use it.

-You don't owe anyone an explanation for why you blocked them.

-I'm very wary of anyone who is against non-traumagenic systems. I don't really understand endo systems or other non-traumagenic systems, but I've seen tons of fakeclaiming and racism coming from the anti-endo community, so I tend to avoid them. I'm not interested in getting into syscourse and I generally keep my system life private.

-Well-researched self diagnosis is good, especially if you can't afford to get a professional diagnosis. Ultimately, you are the one actually experiencing what's in your brain.

-Shipping discourse is ridiculous and literally all of you need to go outside.

-Anti-transmasculinity as a form of oppression exists and to say otherwise is antiblack and transmisogynistic, since it often goes in hand with transmisogynoir.

-Nonbinary people do not owe you androgyny, let alone any change in appearance once they come out as nonbinary.

-Nonmen and nonwoman are not just terms that are super hostile to multigender people, they're also racist due to their hostility towards Two-Spirit people as well as how they've been used to degender Black people.

Can you explain proship and antiship and why people are saying one or the other is problematic? I’m a little confused over this.

Sit down, nonnie, this is going to be a long one!

I need to start this by saying that I would be someone classed as a proshipper. I don't necessarily label myself as such though and when it comes to the drama around this, I think both sides can be terrible and toxic, but because of my views I would be labelled by an anti as a proshipper (or proshitter because yes, that is how childish they can be).

A proshipper believes that fiction does not affect reality on a 1:1 ratio which will often be shortened to be "fiction doesn't affect reality" which doesn't actually represent the views of many people who are given this label. However to place it simply, a proshipper would not care who you ship: age gaps, toxic relationships, incest of any kind etc. because they believe that what you enjoy in fiction doesn't not indicate the type of things you would enjoy in a real life relationship.

An antishipper, as you can guess, is the opposite, they believe that fiction does affect reality and that your taste in media can be an indication of what you enjoy in reality.

This has led to the words problematic, pedophile, abuser, groomer and the like to be thrown around in fandom like they're candy and not serious accusations to accuse someone of and has watered down the words to the point that when someone is claimed to be, say, a pedophile, it makes people think "are they really or did they just like a "bad" ship" which obviously is a very big problem.

Now, there is nothing wrong with being uncomfortable and even downright hating ships that have incest/pedophilia/abusive aspects and in fact many people who will say "ship and let ship" (a common phrase used by proshippers) will hate them too. I can't stand these types of ships personally and will block anyone who has them as they make me extremely uncomfortable, however I won't harass people who have them either which is a common tactic of the antishippers.

You don't know the people behind the ship, plain and simple. Many proshippers with these darker ships have even had to share how they were/are victims of what they're being accused of and how they use such ships to help them come to terms and take control of their own trauma.

Or they could be dangerous people (though I don't know what the percentage of people that would be) which is why I will never understood why antis will ask each other to put themselves in danger to harass these people.

My issue with antishipping is that any ship can come underfire and be labelled a proship by these people. I've seen things be called proships for people who have shared the same body in funky soul shenanigans, I've seen them been called that for people who look too much alike, I've even seen it for age gaps that are completely normal in real life.

There is no common consensus for what is a proship, it's become a word to mean "ship I don't like" for many and is used extremely often to shut down ships and people shipping it.

I'll use a proship of mine as an example and one that is often the target of antis on twitter. I've made it very much aware I love the relationship between Osamu Dazai and Sakunosuke Oda from Bungo Stray Dogs. Now Oda was 23 when he died, Dazai was 18 years old. For many, this 5 year gap was too inappropriate for them because Dazai was a "minor" at the time of their friendship. This got even worse when the author revealed that Dazai and Oda met when Dazai was 16.

It doesn't matter that to many antishippers that people who love the ship enjoy it with both characters of adult age (it's very rare you see anyone shipping them when Dazai was 16 and even at 18). Because he knew Dazai when he was a minor, their relationship cannot change at all, Dazai will always be viewed as a "kid" by Oda (despite that having never been their relationship) and if you ship them you are a pedophile.

Yes, that is the word that is often used. You get called a pedophile for shipping two characters who are legal age.

Now, can the age gap in the ship be uncomfortable to people? Sure! Can the potential power imbalance be uncomfortable too? Yes, it can and I have many ships where I find myself in the same boat. However instead of the antis of the BSD fandom blocking and avoiding this content, they will accuss creators for the ship of being horrible thing and will harass and insult them.

This is why I called it a cult. You saw in the post I just made how a person had to ask if something was okay? They didn't go "I think this is uncomfortable so I won't enjoy it and avoid it" they had to make sure that it was okay with the hivemind to like it another way. At this point antis aren't thinking for themselves, they're doing what they think others expect of them.

What's even worse is that some anti communities have been shown to have been run by actual predators who are preying on the minors that flock to them for "safety" from these "dangerous" ships.

There have been classic textbook abusive behaviour from these communites such as isolating minors from "dangerous" adults and making them feel like they're the only people they can trust. It's often believed that predatory adults will use "proship" content to make minors trust them but it's just no true, a predator will use anything that will endear them to their victim and that includes antishipping.

It's extremely dangerous and terrifying to see.

There also the fact that many antis care more about the lives of fiction people than real people. I will see them celebrate and laugh at "proshippers" who feel suicidal or have committed suicide, even going as far as to tell them to do it. It's horrifying.

I'm sorry I've gone more into the antishipping community than the proshipping community but that's because I'm genuinely terrified of the antishipping community. They make fandom a terrible and toxic place to be in.

For many years, proshipping was the standard to the point it hadn't even been called it. It's only recently the anti community started to rise, bringing with them both insane purity culture and abusive/bullying behavior to anyone who won't conform to their standards.

Please, everyone stay safe in fandom.

Frustrated

Hey, I made this account because I need somewhere to speak my mind. Having looked at how radfems are treated, I am not quite ready to be open about my beliefs on my main blog just yet. I would lose friends and most likely get hate, and I am not ready for that. I just would like to find people who won’t ostracize me for how I’m feeling. I made this account to vent my feelings and speak from the heart.

I am a detrans lesbian woman. Since I was a kid, I have felt wrong to be female. I thought this was because I was trans, or non-binary, so I called myself a man and went by he/him. I thought I had it all figured out, and had found my people, yet simultaneously felt at unease around “fellow” trans people at the time. It was like an echo chamber. Everyone’s on the defensive, constantly, there’s no openings for new beliefs, and everyone’s scared of the big Terf boogeyman. I fell for this schtick as a silly young teen, including the JKR hate, despite the fact I had not actually read up on her views — Given, I did not hate her myself, I disagreed with her yes, but even when I was knee deep in the BS I still thought the harassment was awful (though I didn’t speak up about it, which was wrong.) One day my mother and I struck up a conversation at the start of this year (I think? Idk, I didn’t jot down the exact date lol) concerning that very subject.

My mother has been a lifelong feminist, and she is an amazing woman who has been a great influence on me. She allowed me to have a safe space where I could come to terms with my true opinions and not feel pressured & trapped in the echo chamber. She expressed that she felt frustrated with how the trans community was treating JKR and Posie Parker. She has always admired JKR, and while she didn’t wholly agree with her views, she felt very shocked and horrified at the vitriolic hatred being hurled at her. I admitted I felt the same. JKR had expressed her views in an educated and informed manner, and had been met with threats of rape and other terrible violence, as well as misogynistic insults and ostracization… Yet, men with far more violent and unempathetic views toward trans people were not met with nearly as much vitriol. I was beginning to see a pattern. Posie Parker, an activist who had come to New Zealand, was hit over the head with a bottle by a trans activist when she was speaking at a rally. People cheered the assailant on, and called Parker a ‘terf b*tch’, a fascist, a c word, so and so forth. My mother and I were shocked when we read this. Once again, a woman had dared express her opinion and was met with violence and vitriol. That, I think, marked the beginning of my second guessing as I realized the kinds of people I was aligning myself with.

Then came the whole “transmisogyny” thing. This really fucking frustrated me, even when I still identified as transgender. I have lived my whole life as female, I have been raised with patriarchal and misogynistic ideals hammered into me, told I have been inadequate, brushed off, sexualised, dehumanized, used as a scapegoat and a target, and that’s just scratching the surface. I have been taught to hate my body, and hate my mind, and mold everything in my life around whether or not it appeals to the male’s leer. And yet, these transwomen “transbians” who have lived their WHOLE FUCKING LIVES as heterosexual men (often white heterosexual men) up until recently suddenly are the real victims of misogyny, and women are the perpetrators of it. What! Are you fucking deluded???? That fucking infuriated me.

Everything in the trans community revolved around males. Transwomen, to be exact. We had to revere them like saints, seriously. Female born trans people such as trans men and various non binary people were treated as villains when they didn’t fall for the narrative. Seem familiar, ladies? Yeah, it’s the same anti female shit repackaged in a fresh new woke, blue pink and white coat of paint. Anyone who mentions the hypocrisy and the illogical nature of it all gets called a TERF - and by Jove, you don’t want to be an EEEVIL TERF!!!

Then there’s the genital thing. I have seen borderline rapey shut (actually no, not borderline, straight up rapey shit) come from the trans community (T.W mostly let’s be real it’s always them) regarding “genital preferences”. Hell rains down when they discover a lesbian doesnt like ‘girldick’. You can’t force people to be fucking attracted to you!!!! This is just REPURPOSED HOMOPHOBIA! My fucking God! Like, conversion therapy logic!!!! Oh, we can make her like dick, oh we can make him like pussy. How are you SO BLIND???????

I am honestly ANGRY at myself that I ever fucking believed this shit. I wanted to be part of a group and feel like I belonged, and the hatred I had for my body was taken advantage of and I stupidly went along with it. I don’t know why I didn’t realize this shit sooner. I am angry I am frustrated and I feel stuck. Like, I am stuck in a dark, muddy pit, but if I try to get out I’ll be shot by gunmen waiting just outside.

Okay, sorry, I got a bit angry there. Back to my point. Ever since I have distanced myself from transgenderism, and tried to accept my female body, I’ve felt a lot freer. I know that’s contradictory to what I just said, but it’s sort of two sides of a coin type deal. I’ve been looking at lesbian communities, butch women, engaging with strong females in my life that have broken free from the gnarled hands of the male agenda, and I feel seen. I’ve been reading up on the views of radfems online, and I realized how much of it I actually agreed with for so long but was too afraid to come to terms with it. I’m trying to make peace with my female body. I am not this warped idea of what society wants a woman to be. I am not some pornographic caricature. I am a woman - a female human. I am a person and an animal. I am loud, I am passionate, I am intelligent, I am prickly and hairy and problematic, I am independent I am my own person and my life doesnt need to revolve around MEN and whether I need to pretend to be a man or appeal to men. Men don’t need to feature in my life. They aren’t necessary. Hell, they’re a burden. They’re stupid, violent and emotionally handicapped creatures and I’ve had enough of putting up with them in my life. I’ve stopped engaging with male media and embraced the female world.

Okay, I’m done. I still have a lot of stuff I need to unlearn, and I’m at the foot of a long, tall mountain. I hope you didn’t mind my very long, somewhat personal rant. I may get hate for this (though I’m probably not gonna log into this account again), but I need an outlet.

I saw this video and it made me think about how easy it is to subtly get directed towards a specific ideology.

Originally, I had like a whole break down of just this video and how, even if the OP wasn't intentionally aiming to do this, it subtly tries to downplay the danger that men actually cause women to suffer through. And I don't think it was her intention. I think she was just sharing her thoughts and opinions. But I also notice that most of the comments she replies back to are just men complimenting her appearance or praising her "realness" (these comments are heavy with "you're not like those other girls" type energy).

And it wasn't even her video that got me thinking about this, it was her comment section. All men. Only men. Praising her and using her video to validate their own opinions that are much deeper than "men and women are actually kind of nervous around each other." The men in the comments are using this to validate their belief that actual women aren't having dangerous experiences with men.. no no.. it's just these chronically online teenager perpetuating a harmful stereotype against men.

This is why I think it's important to not just think critically about the messages you're receiving from people in online spaces but who else is also listening and how they're perceiving it. One man, in her comments, even goes as far as blaming internet discourse for why he doesn't talk to women because he thinks we all hate men and he's afraid of rejection. With another man agreeing with him. And this is what women mean when we've been saying that "women fear being killed, men fear being rejected."

The men in her comments keep insisting that people aren't actually evil, terrible, scummy, mean, bigoted etc. "in real life" and they're just that way on the internet. "The internet's not real" sort of mindset. They do this because it absolves them of having to take reasonability for the way they treat people and act in online spaces. One person did bring up that it seems like people are just braver online and just hide it better in person. And I agree with him.

We aren't going to solve this violence against women issue by ignoring that the violence is happening or pretending like the internet doesn't affect people when they log off. And we're definitely not going to solve this problem if we keep prioritizing praise from men over safety for women.

And you can't even talk about this within these little pockets of discussion already happening because the men, and the women who prioritize male attention, will call you "chronically online" and they will pile on you and basically harass you out of the conversation. They'll claim that you're in an echo chamber, while they are literally creating an echo chamber of their own.

It's a refusal to acknowledge that their online behaviors and actions have real life consequences. And that they want to be able to express their negative thoughts and opinions, specifically about women, without having to deal with the consequences that come with that. Like women not wanting to be around you. Or women not trusting you.

The video itself is giving "it's not that deep" vibes and it's also a part of the bigger "anti-intellectual" conversation that's being had right now among people online and offline. As if we shouldn't take what we see online as an accurate representation of how people act and behave offline. And this just isn't the healthy mindset people think it is. The internet is real. The people who harass others online are real people. The people being harassed online are real people. The men making these podcast encouraging other men to abuse and mistreat women are real people. And the men commenting on these videos hyping up this crap are real people.

Just because people present themselves a certain way offline, and a different way online, doesn't mean their online personality isn't real. It's still a part of who they are.

jesus fucking christ the mind numbingly stupid shit sophie is spewing is beyond words. this has to be up there with the time she called anti endos a hate group but said she’s fine with them existing because she’s fine with Actual hate groups existing. i just wish people had just a fucking crumb of common sense. like has she ever thought “hey, i’m talking about an extremely stigmatized and extremely severe mental illness that i don’t have, maybe i should stay in my lane unless i’m positive i know what im talking about, or at least listen to the people who do have that mental illness.” her response to being told she’s wrong and hurting us is to keep insisting she’s right. it’s so fucked up but i can’t say i’m not used to it as a DID system, and not just from her but from society in general 🤷‍♂️

what i really hate about sophie is her inability to compromise or understand that she can be wrong about things. she always has to be right, and assumes herself as some kind of pillar of truth when sometimes she can't even read a paper and understand what it's talking about correctly.

like, i don't care about arguing with her about endo shit because i don't care about endos. but when she's spreading misinformation about DID and comparing animal alters with zoophilia, her idea, when corrected, is to insist she's right and apparently say that she and i agree on a lot more things stated in the discussion than i actually believe we do.

we agree that harassing zoophiles for existing and not hurting any animals is bad. we also agree that respecting the autonomy and identities of animal alters/headmates, in some capacity. but that's kind of about it.

like, she never said anything about confronting trauma or trauma processing when healing, she literally just automatically assumed that because i was talking about "healing" as a DID system, that i was talking about therapy/fusion, and in the anon ask, completely skipped over the fact that i said they could still appear as animals internally completely healthily. and then said something about "who's to be the judge of the healing process?" like girl did you read the post.

not to mention she and other people came onto the post and said that animal alters can still healthily exist as animal alters, and implying i said that they have to be human, like girl stop. at that point you're cherry picking and can't even understand what i'm talking about when i talk about an animal alter healing from their trauma.

she did this repeatedly until she stated that we allegedly agree on everything and now she's confused as to why i'm pissed when that wasn't even the original thing i was trying to argue, (but i guess that part is a little bit my own fault, haha).

and once again, using a vague definition of zoophilia that i have never seen used in a positive context. like, has she ever thought about the fact that the definition of zoophilia doesn't include mentioning therians/alterhumans/furries because they just weren't on the radar, and/or because of the fact that they're not biologically non-human animals, and therefore can consent?

and especially not talking cartoon animals *because* of the fact that they are anthropomorphized (in the literal use of the word) to the point where they could theoretically consent to sex, and also do not resemble real-life animals in the same way that a photograph of an animal does?

like, i really don't feel like the definition is as muddy as she thinks it is when you bother to think about why it is the way it is across the board. sure, different definitions use different wordings, but in my opinion they're all coming to the same core concept of zoophilia: an attraction to real life, non-anthropomorphized animals.

I’m going to be honest here, when I was about 14-17yo, I was the absolute same when it came to mlm ships. I took everything as offense, erasure, and people being homophobic, until I grew up and understood that being anything other than queer is not a bad thing and nothing to be ashamed of. Do we need more LGBTQ+ content? Yes, absolutely. Is it a shame that there’s little to none queer representation in ST? Absolutely. But does it give anyone the right to harass other users? Absolutely not. Those young people need to learn how to control their emotions and that us shipping a straight ship doesn’t negate any of the above mentioned things of representation. It is buck wild that there’s people going feral over the fact that people interpret Eddie’s character as hetero. More than that, it is disgusting how much hate mail there is going around in regards to this, how little people care what their words do to other users. It’s somewhat similar to Billy-fans and anti-Billy people. The harassment from the antis is disgusting, including doxxing and publicly shaming small blogs over their hc’s. Bro, I am standing a dead character because I saw potential in his traumatic past, but I’m being pulled into group bullying for that. It’s horrendous how little people care about the well being of others and are ready to inflict actual, real-life troubles over some fictional characters. I know fiction is escapism, but some people can’t draw that line as it seems.

Exactly! As a bisexual person of course I want more representation, however one thing I don’t understand about people like this is like, you’ll get the Tommy H situation and people suddenly cling onto and sympathise with his character, despite the fact he joked about Jonathan being the one who murdered Will and he was the one responsible for spray painting ‘Nancy Wheeler is a slut’ on the front of the theatre, and explain that they do it because they’re “desperate for representation” but then they get two canonically queer characters who are into each other in Vickie (Vicki idk at this point) and Robin and they do nothing but trash all over it and attack the bisexual actress who plays Vickie and I’m like “that desperate for representation, huh?” apparently not when it comes to wlw rep, that you can afford to shit all over, but let’s sympathise with the slut shaming bully.

I’m sorry it just upsets me, even if they think that Vickie and Robin was rushed and should’ve had more time, I agree with that, it doesn’t give them a right to complete disregard it and act like it’s the worst rep ever and attack the actress for no good reason.

After that reaction, if we don’t get Vickie and Robin at all in s5 because Vickie’s character just disappears without explanation it will be their fault because of the backlash they caused. Then Robin probably won’t ever canonically have a girlfriend.

Even if they believe their criticisms of the ship are valid, you’ll never see people criticise mlm ships the way they dump all over wlw ships. The Tommy H situation is proof of that.

The “that desperate for representation” argument will never be valid if they only use it for mlm and then proceed to attack and criticise wlw ships, we’re desperate for representation too, stop trying to ruin it for us.

BASIC INFO: Sada is a dreamer and a hard-worker. She has sacrificed her time with her son to achieve the paradise for her family, where Pokemon of past and present can live in harmony. The destruction of the ecological balance is a risk she is willing to take, and as a Lawful Evil character, she is ready to take a stance against anyone who would try to stop her from achieving her dream.

Arven is her pride and joy, and she truly regrets the neglect of her son, yet, she has sacrificed too much to go back now. She has to achieve the paradise to make amends to her son, she cannot go back empty-handed.

Sada adores her Pokemon team of Paradox Pokemon, and her two Koraidons. However, she does baby the first Koraidon she had brought to the present, which is why the passive Koraidon will be called "baby" affectionately by her and this page. 

Sada, even after her separation from Turo, still loves him so, and respects him as the father of Arven. However, she is also hurt by his decision of being uninvolved with Arven's life.

Other than Arven, people Arven might care about, and her Pokemon, everyone else is on thin ice. If Turo could leave her, so could you. She will not make the same mistake again.

HISTORY:

Sada has been the biggest history nerd Paldea has ever known. She was also fascinated with the idea of Pokémon from other ages, especially from the ancient past.

Professor Sada and Turo were the high-school sweethearts, who went to the Academy of Paldea together, and later become part of the team that explored the Greater Crater of Paldea.

With Director Clavell's support, she had solved the mystery behind the terastal phenomenon and named the crystallizing energy "Terastallizing". Her research contributed to the making of Tera Orb, which allowed Pokemon outside of the crater to terrastallize as well (which was also offered to the Academy).

Her contribution in making the protype Tera Orb helped her get the funding needed for further research, and she set up her second lab in a lighthouse near Cabo Poco.

After a breakthrough in her research she moved back to the Zero Lab in the Greater Crater of Paldea, though she would still work at Lighthouse as well. Sada succeeded in developing a time machine that would allow her to reach out to Paradox Pokémon, Pokémon from the ancient past, by transporting Poké Balls to different points on the timeline to catch them and bring them into modern time.

Arven, her dearest son, came to her life, and shortly after, Professor Turo had left their life. Sada still loves him so. In her pursuit of a paradise for her family, Sada continued her research.

After an incident where her first, precious Koraidon was seen by the others around the Lighthouse, Sada had to spend most of her time at the Zero lab, since she could not let Koraidon be seen by the others. (This did not stop her baby Koraidon from visiting Arven lots, though he would start to blame his mother's disappearance on the dragon and start to resent him.)

Sada was determined to make her paradise a reality, and had to achieve it fast without missing any more years she could have spend with Arven. To hasten the process and keep the secrecy, she made an artificial intelligence of herself.

Sada and her assistant, AI Sada would also bring the more powerful Koraidon to the present through the time machine. To her dismay, the Koraidons did not get along, and Sada found herself deescalating many fights between the two.

Sada also developed the Poké Ball Lock System, an ID-based defense mechanism for her lab. After the sacrifices she had made, she could not let anyone stand in her way. (This makes her unafraid to take some cruel actions if needed.)

Sada dreams of past and present Pokémon existing in harmony, however, she is ready to take the risk of ecological balance being disrupted. Destruction is a natural part of life. 

A territorial battle between the two Koraidon would take place, where Sada would misjudge the situation and her strength. She ended up taking a mortal blow from the stronger Koraidon while protecting the baby Koraidon from the other. This also led to the destruction of Research Station No. 4, and Sada eventually passed away.

Pokemon team (Will match with the Pokemon RPer if needed**)

Apate the Scream-Tail: Her favorite Pokemon for sure. Scream-Tail and Sada’s bond could rival her and the baby Koraidon’s bond, almost. Both tricksters, they had fun whenever Professor needed time to unwind. With her fairy and psychic abilities, Scream Tail would help Sada sleep when an intervention was inevitable. Apate was named for being a trickster, and the daughter of the night :)

Athena the Slither Wing: The fighter pokemon who is wise enough not to fight unless necessary. This also is why she was selected to be in Sada’s team, when she did not attack Sada but only defended herself.  Named Athena for being a goddess of wisdom and war. A pokemon of few words/cries, she is more fond of being present during Sada’s research. Due to Sada and Apate the Scream Tail being inseperablle, Athena ended up learning Zen Headbutt as well. (Apate’s bad influence.)

Janus the Brute Bonnet: The Pokemon from the ancient past who saw the future he never though he would end up being a part of. As a Brute Bonnet tied to nature and the dark forces, he was gifted with the power of Precognition. This gift meant that he knew what would become of Sada when he befriended her, and his resistance to being her friend to spare himself the heartache. However, even the pokemon of two faces (the red and white both foreseeing the Pokeballs of future and also symbolizing two faces that look into the past and the future) could not save himself or defy the fate.

Aglaea the Flutter Mane: Joining the professor out of boredom, Aglaea is the most competitive of them all: a pokemon of various moves, all a different type, except Fairy. Though the fae origin is not denied, Aglaea leans more into its ghost nature. She and the Professor enjoy each other’s company, and Sada’s fashion choices can be partly blamed on this Flutter Mane’s influence.

Aite the Sandy Shocks: This grumpy Pokemon has lived for thousands of years, before being snatched by Sada's time machine. He is known for his mischief, despite being grounded enough to control his impulses... for the most time. Enabler of Sada's most reckless plans, he got his name due to being a god of mischief, blind folly, rash action and reckless impulse. He is basically the shoulder devil of Sada.

Achlys the Roaring Moon: Perhaps the strongest pokemon and almost ace Pokemon of the professor, Achlys' and Sada's relationship is of respect and deep trust. Though not affectionate and outright cold toward each other, Sada loves the dragon more than anything, and can be found wrestling with the roaring moon as a part of her training regime. Achlys is indifferent toward humans, and acts almost like the leader of the team, keeping everyone in line. After Sada's accident, he barely accepted his position to remain as a part of the Paradise Protection Program.
