I know you probably won't continue this since it's been almost two years but recently I saw your Submas comic again with Emmet somehow ending up in Hisui with the help of Celebi and reuniting with his brother but also getting the consequences of his actions/neglect in taking care of himself (also probably Hisui being harsh to his already weakened state)

I imagined how it could continue (not written down anywhere just living rent free in the brain of yours truly) and I feel like sharing it with you since you inspired me:

We left off as Ingo weeps in front of Emmet sleeping... After he wakes up from his weeping Ingo and Sneasler reluctantly leave as Emmet has no signs of regaining consciousness or improving. Something tells Ingo that what his brother needs might be back in their original time with much better health care.

Similar to him Ingo seeks out Dialga and Palkia begging them to help him save his brother. They have just reunited and he doesn't dare to think what happens if Emmet doesn't get the treatment he needs.

Celebi is also still around and Ingo makes the decision to return to the future to help save Emmet. Sacrificing everything just like he did.

[off screen he makes his good byes get's one of Sneaslers Eggs as a parting gift and they return back to the future]

Next time we cut to the twins it's in the hospital when Emmet regains consciousness. Half awake he is distraught first because being in hospital means it was all a dream and he is all alone again. Waterworks start until he notices a presence by his bedside. Ingo. Totally exhausted and seemingly recently fallen asleep. Waterworks start even harder because Ingo is right there. It was real after all. Ingo awakes and wakes up and they hug and weep.

Reader takes post Hisui Ingo (and possible Emmet) to Sinnoh where he takes them to Lady Sneaslers cave, Ingo would probably find her fossil and be sad until Reader reminds him that they can now bring back well preserved fossils. Que Ingo and Ladys reunion (headcanon that fossils retain their memories cos its cute)

It took quite some time for Ingo to readjust to the present, considering at least five whole years have passed since he got thrown back in time...lost in the ancient region of Hisui.

You've been stuck there too, but eventually you made a deal with Arceus after "seeking out all Pokémon" as requested and capturing it:

If you released your cherished team back into the wild, it'll let you both go home. Of course, that wasn't an easy sacrifice to make, though after bidding farewell to the Pokémon that helped you save Hisui--and the world as a whole--Arceus did fulfill its end of the bargain.

It dropped you and Ingo off into a familiar underground subway, where Emmet so-happened to be patrolling alone at that same time.

He nearly passed out upon seeing that you both finally back home, especially his older twin.

Fortunately, he remembered everything about him the second they met eyes....leading to the brothers hugging and sobbing for a solid ten minutes together. You simply stood on the sidelines as Chandelure and Eelektross gave their trainers space and celebrated your return.

After the media caught wind of the good news, life pretty much resumed as normal--except the brothers put a temporary halt on their battle subway operations as you suggested a vacation to Sinnoh. Obviously Ingo's mind was still foggy, so he wasn't quite fit to resume any dual battles yet.

He did, however, wish to show Emmet what he learned of this region based on his experiences in Hisui--especially Mt. Coronet. He took you both to the cavern that used to be his warden post.

"I gotta admit, you're turning into quite the historian." Emmet remarked, looking all around as the three of you ventured further into the cave. Only your flashlight shined the path forward. "You were just..guarding this so-called "Noble Pokémon" from danger?"

"Indeed. That's exactly it!" Ingo explained with much vigor. "As warden, it was my duty to ensure Lady Sneasler's territory was protected and that offerings were delivered to her from time to time. Of course, I didn't think Pearl Clan would ever trust a stranger like myself. But it ended up being a wise decision on their part."

Emmet simply muttered an "ahh" in surprise, nodding his head as you and him continued listening to the older twin's story. He went on to discuss the baby Sneasels that were under Sneasler's care, saying they were cared for in this very cave and that you were nearing her den.

However, you three would soon happen upon a rather...unfortunate sight. But neither of you knew it yet until Ingo abruptly stopped in his tracks, having found something he wishes he could unsee.

"...oh, so...that's all there is now...." His voice turned flat.

"Ingo? What's wrong?" Emmet asked in worry.

"I think I know.." You frowned slightly, standing beside Ingo and flicking on your flashlight, revealing bones embedded into the dirt of the den.

But they weren't just any regular old bones scattered everywhere...

They made up the fossil of a certain Sneasler.

"..of course, h-how could I forgotten? She's gone.." Ingo bowed his head in mourning, feeling the ache in his heart growing as the reality of this discovery hit him hard. But even with the bill of his hat casting a shadow over his eyes, you and Emmet could see his lips tremble, tears sliding down both cheeks.

"M-My Lady..."

Hearing his voice break was something neither of you expected, but of course....you understood why.

This had to be a difficult thing to confront, knowing that the Noble he formed such a close bond with, the one who helped him in that lost and unfamiliar distant past...was now extinct.

There will never be another Sneasler like her again.

The only proof of her existence was kept within a fossil-

'Wait...her fossil...'

You suddenly remembered something extremely crucial, and smiled, knowing exactly how to help Ingo in his moment of despair. So you gently put a hand on his shoulder, trying to get his attention. "Hey, Ing-"

"I never even thought about what became of her until now.." He put his hand over yours, voice still trembling, as he believed you were only trying to comfort him. "We left so suddenly and...god, she must have been so confused. Did she think we abandoned her? Did she live out the rest of her days in anger or sorrow? Oh how I...I-I just wish I could see her one last time..."

"We can make that happen, Ingo."

"..huh?" Blinking, he stared at you with puffy eyes, eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "What do you mean? We can't go back-"

"We've got the technology to revive fossils, remember?" You reminded him, seeing his expression shift for a moment. And then recollection seemed to flash in his eyes.

"Ahah..that's right. I-I must have forgotten..." He chuckled softly, wiping away his tears as he finally calmed down. "Is it possible to fully restore her?"

"I believe so! Her fossil looks verrrry well-preserved!" Emmet nodded, happy to see his brother's smile again. "We must dig this up post haste! It'd be an honor to meet this "Lady Sneasler"."

"Then it's decided, gentlemen." You grinned, clapping your hands together. "Let's get to digging!"

The excavation of Lady Sneasler's fossil went off without a hitch, and you wasted no time heading to Oreburgh's Mining Museum afterwards.

The scientist in charge of reviving fossils was initially taken aback by the odd skeleton piece you gave him, though he accepted it nonetheless and insisted you three waited outside until the process was complete.

Yet his words left Ingo nervous as he paced back and forth in front of the museum sign. He kept muttering train-related facts under his breath, trying to keep calm. But he couldn't help wondering if something could go wrong.

What if it's impossible? What if she's brought back wrong or without any memory of who he was?

Would she be terrified of the sudden changes that modern society brought and go berserk??

Did..any Fossil Pokémon feel that way when they were first revived?

Fortunately, as quickly as these concerns descended upon him...they were just as quick to leave when he heard a familiar cry and footsteps growing louder. And he turned in astonishment to see who came running out of the museum, a frantic scientist in-tow.

Both you and Emmet looked on, the latter surprised to see it was a tall Sneasel-like Pokémon with purple fur jogging over to you all. But you had a huge smile on your face, knowing very well that's the Noble you hoped to see again. She looked the same as she did all those years ago.

"I'm sorry!! I'm sorry!! I-It ran out the second I brought it back to life!!" He kept shouting.

"Halt! There's no need to proceed further!" Emmet barked, putting his hand up to stop him in his tracks. "Thank you for your services. We'll take care of her from here."

"...a-ah yes, of course! Sorry." Coughing nervously, the scientist smoothed out his ruffled lab coat, before heading back inside the museum.

"Sneas?" While initially confused at Emmet's presence, Lady Sneasler perked up at Ingo's voice as he approached her.

"My Lady..."

For a moment, she looked down at the man, at first not recognizing him outside of his tattered Pearl Clan garb. But after sniffing him a few times, the usually stoic Pokémon smiled warmly and ruffled his head gently. "Snea!"

"O-Oh, thank Arceus...you remember..!!" He beamed, although her mood suddenly switched as she huffed, before stepping back and crossing her arms, foot tapping with impatience.

The look in her eye told Ingo "you owe me an explanation big time".

But before he could speak up, you intervened, knowing it was really your fault that they never got to properly say goodbye to each other. So you explained everything to her, and she seemed to understand, given how her facial features gradually softened.

After nodding her head in respect, she turned back to her warden, embracing him in an act of forgiveness. At first he was in shock, though he returned the hug seconds later, tears of happiness streaking down his cheeks this time.

He'll worry about how Lady Sneasler will adapt to this new world later on...but for now he just wanted to take in this moment.

You and Emmet just looked on, relieved to see the pair reunited after being thrown timelines apart.

"Awh, that is verrrrry touching." He clasped his hands together with a grin. "I wonder how she'd fair in batt--ough!!"

Elbowing him in the gut, you huffed in annoyance. "Not the time, Em."

"..r-right, sorry!"

You looked at your family picture frame as tears were falling down your cheeks as you kissed the frame and you felt Edward wrapped his arms around you and he kissed your forehead “oh sweetheart don’t cry.”

You wipe off your tears and you lay the frame down on your shared bed. "It's hard not to."

He grabbed your hands with a sad smile, "I know sweetie but seeing you cry breaks me."

you smiled as you looked at him with love, "I don't know if Dean is still a demon or if Sam is still soulless if so it’s dangerous for us to be near.”

“What about your friends? They haven’t contacted you with updates of your brothers?” He asked

You shook your head. “no they’re probably l still mad or too busy trying to find a way to bring my brothers back.”

Edward was about to say something else when he heard your phone get a message from Stefan Salvatore, and saw you read the message

“Honey what did he say?” He asked trying to hide his jealousy since you told him that you were Stefan first crush

You rolled your eyes playful since you know that Edward is being jealous. “My love you know that I only love you and that I only have eyes for you whatever Stefan or I felt it’s in the past.”

He crossed his arms as he rolled his eyes, not trying to smile "so what does he want?"

“He’s inviting us to his wedding with Caroline Forbes.” You showed him the invitation that you got from Stefan on your phone

He looked over your shoulder then he looked at you. “isn’t she friends with that girl who's jealous of your friendship with Stefan?”

Before putting your phone down you saved the invitation and texted Stefan that you were going. “not anymore she stopped being friends with Elena when she made Caroline choose between me and her.”

He laughed as he shook his head. “That's Karma, that's what happens when you make someone choose she deserves that and even more.”

“Why are you letting Stefan and Caroline invite Y/n to their wedding?” Elena asked angrily after finding out that they send you the wedding invitation

Damon crossed his arms. “It's not my wedding Elena, they have the right to invite whoever they want, it’s their wedding, not mine, I don’t know why you don’t like her, she’s a great woman.”

She fumed as she rolled her eyes, “what’s so great about her? She’s nothing but a boring and stupid woman.”

“Listen here Y/n’s is Stefan's best friend and Caroline sees her as a sister, so if you don’t want to be uninvited to the wedding I suggest you to be quiet and to show her respect when she comes. ” He warns being done with Elena bullshit and jealousy

“Then I am not going.” She sat down on the couch, crossing her arms

“Then don’t come, that's fine with me I would rather not have you come if you’re going to be complaining the whole time.” He stormed off ignoring Elena calls out

Your family and you are at Isle Esme For a couple of days to get some fresh air and to get away from people and everything

“Finally a nice family vacation for the first time ever since that accident.” Emmett said as he looked around.

“I know right two weeks far from stupid people and it’s stupid problems:” Rosalie said agreeing with her husband Emmett

“Y/n?” Alice asked, pulling you aside from them “I need to tell you something that I saw.”

“What’s up?” You asked sounding confused on what she’s going to tell you since that look on her it looks like it’s something serious

She looks over at the family who was laughing and talking then at you, “I saw that your blood family is trying to find a way to get in contact with you.”

“What?” You asked as tears started to fall down from your cheeks “how if dean is a demon and Sam is soulless? And my best friends are probably still mad at me. You saw how they reacted when I told them that I married Edward and that he turned me into a vampire.”

She grabbed your shoulders before pulling you into a hug as she rubbed your back “not anymore honey I saw that your brothers and best friends are going to make a trip to Forks anytime soon.”

You wiped off your tears and pulled away from Alice gently. “I’m really happy to hear that, but I’m scared of my brothers reaction when I tell them that I married a vampire and that he turned me.”

“I know, but they'll understand why Edward had it to do it, you were basically dying but he saved you and you were reborn as a vampire.” She tried to reassure you

“I honestly don't know me and my brothers grew up as hunters and they'll be asking what I was doing that almost caused me to lose my life and why I married Edward.” You told her

“I was planning if you're not ready to tell them that you're a vampire we can get you contact lenses that match your human color eyes.” She smiles

“That’s a good idea and I love it but wearing them will make my eyes really irritated like the other time that I tried to use them and also they will find out the truth one way or the other and I really do want them to find out from me rather than for them to find out from someone else.”

“Yeah, that would suck if they were to be told by someone else rather than you. Maybe if they heard it from you they’ll understand and hopefully be happy for you guys” she said with hope

You laughed “Probably but in my mind I’m not trying to picture them not trying to shoot him because after all they’re hunters and really overprotective of me and dating someone mostly if he’s a vampire they will get really crazy.”

She laughs too "Do you think your brothers would do that? even if Edward's is their brother in law.”

You nodded your head "Yeah even if Edward is their brother in law they would still go crazy when it comes to vampires and me you don't know how overprotected they would get when I would go hunting with them and when I would bring the men over just don't tell Edward.”

Bella and Jacob arrived in Mystic falls days earlier before the wedding since Elena told her to since she made a plan to ruin your happiness and she wants her to be included in the plan

“So What’s the Plan?” Bella asked

Elena hands Bella a glass of water "Oh you're going to love it!!”

Bella takes a sip as she smiles “ tell me I want to know!!”

"So her brothers are not aware of her being married and her being a vampire.” Elena smirks

Bella raised an eyebrow, "Not following."

“Okay, so Y/n and her family are hunters, I mean just her friends and her brothers so think how would they react to know that their sister is dating a supernatural? Mostly if she's one as well.” Elena explains with a smirk on her face

"Say what? A hunter turned into a vampire? it seems like she betrayed her kind. Man we could tell her brothers that she is dating one of the supernatural and that she's one.” Bella smirks as well

“There you go, so I sent them an anonymous email to come to Mystic falls and They responded with an ok and that they will be here.”

“I can’t wait to see that look on Y/N’s face covered with sadness and tears. ”Bella laughs“ having no one but the Cullens comforting her since her brothers will hate her.”

“Yeah, I didn’t think about that and what is going to make me more angry that not only will she be comforted by Cullens but by my boyfriend and friends as well.” Elena fumed

Bella crossed her arms "tell me about it, Jacob will also be comforting her too, what's so special about her?”

"I agree but anyways, let's plan what we're going to wear for the wedding."

“Are you sure it’s safe for us to go to Mystic falls? What if it’s a trap?” Sam asked concerned for the safety of his brother and me

“I doubt it, and yeah I know that the Person that sent us that gmail was anonymous. I believe there’s no harm in going.” Dean said trying to erase his brother worries

“I hope you're right brother.”

“I'll go with you guys.” Castiel volunteers

“Count me in.” Gabriel smiles hoping that Dean and Sam would let him go with them

Dean and Sam looked at each other to see if one another were okay with Gabriel coming, and he smiled when both Dean and Sam gave him a approval nod

you smiled when you saw your friends waiting for you and your family with happy smiles on their faces except for Elena and Bella who were crossing their arms

you thanked your husband for opening the door for you as Caroline run up to you, hugging you really fast, almost making you fall down

"I'm so happy that you're here you don't know how much I have missed you.” Caroline smiles as she lets out tears “I Feel like it’s been forever since I saw you.”

"Since my wedding where I got told that my parents were dead, and that my brothers were out there.” You smiled sadly “but today is not the time to be sad, tomorrow is your wedding.”

“The wedding is today, but I can't wait any longer.” Elena tells Bella

"Then what are we waiting for? let's go tell them.” Bella smiles as she and Elena went outside to talk to the four men that got here

You smiled as you were doing Caroline's hair "I'm so happy for you, you deserve this and more.”

They owe you their lives for rescuing them. Ingo I'll never forget the day it was a cold snowy night him and his brother, who had been surviving outside for as long as they could remember seeking refuge in an old abandoned train tunnel. Emmet being stubborn, refusing his brother's torn coat no matter how cold he was. Him and his brother were tired cold and starving this town was unforgiving too wild hybrids and they were not cute kittens anymore and nobody was willing to bring home two strange men.

Thats when Emmet, trying desperately to huddle into his own clothing for warmth, noticed a bright light coming down the tunnel. As the bright light approached they noticed a figure, a human. Emmet hissed at the figure, all day they had been running from mean humans and other hybrids just to find a spot to sleep but Ingo did not want any trouble he understood his brothers frustration but responding hostility would only brew more hostility. The human had a green uniform and the light came from a lantern they were holding. They came to inspect the old railway tunnel as their boss was hoping to remodel and refurbish for future use. But they did not expect to find two hybrids cold and dirty looking glaring up at them. The one with a smile was growling at you, his tail fluffed and his ears flattened. The one who had a frown his voice scratchy husky as if he was suffering from a cold spoke quietly

"Please we do not want any trouble if we're trespassing; we'll leave immediately."

Your heart broken too technically they were trespassing but you couldn't just kick them out like this.

"Do you need help? Here come with me."

Ingo with speechless, unable to answer this was a random human who offered their help normally he wouldn't trust strangers but they are in no shape to decline help of any kind Emmet was confused. Surely this was some kind of joke? But seeing his brother take the humans offered hand, he was still wary, but he would have done the same.

Now, their lives have changed. Ingo smiles fondly, seeing his brother now practically begging for the human's attention.

Emmet hated you at first; he would stay respectful and cordial, but other than that, you'd always keep his distance. If he weren't with his brother, he'd be somewhere else. Now he's attached to you to the hip, insisting on following you around anywhere. And he can't blame him. You are as kind and gentle as your heart, taking in two strange hybrids, opening up your home to them and your heart. And their mind has saved their lives. They are indebted to you, and they'll happily do anything and be anything you desire.

Now they walk side by side with you, your scary "dog" privileges. You like they keep the creeps away, but sometimes…

"Ingo… I told you we were going to have a guest tonight. Why did you throw him back out?" You were sad and Confused. You brought home a date, and for some reason, you are normally polite and well-mannered. Hybrids started acting strangely, cold, and childish, squishing themselves in between you and your date. Literally and figuratively, as they squeeze themselves in between the two of you or cut into your conversations, anything to steal your attention until your date who has gotten fed up with their shenanigans and leaves your home.

"My dear, I don't know what it was about him, but he didn't feel right to me," Ingo said.

"What are you talking about? He was great, perfect even. Emmet ?" Looking over at his brother for his opinion Emmet who had a triumphant smile on his face, bluntly stated, "Good riddance, I'd say. He did not deserve you."

You sighed in frustration, resting your head in your hands. This was the third date they had chased off. It's not like going somewhere would stop them the last two times you tried; they were conveniently in the same place you were.

"Guys, please. If you don't stop chasing people the way I might actually get a partner. And not die alone."

Emmet wiped his head around, walking toward you, wrapping his arms around you from behind. "don't say that; you are not alone because you have us."

Ingo agrees, taking your hand in his, steel gray eyes staring into yours. " That's right, you already are a part of our 3-car train. You don't need anyone else."

So it's been a while since I posted, but I got deep into the Pokemon fandom again and the train twins have now taken over! I just had to design some Pokemon forms for Emmet and Ingo!!

I know some people aren't as into stats and abilities, but I really wanted to sit down and hash out their strategies and movesets. They're subway masters AND ridiculously strong and skilled trainers, so I wanted to make sure that their Pokemon forms also reflected that! So if you're into that (or learning how Hisui changed their partnership) it'll be under the Read More below!

Let me know if y'all want to see more of these guys! I have even written their Pokedex entries and figured out their habits and natures! (Also, just because I thought it was funny, now Ingo is the one who's weak to Earthquake)

Ok, so the first thing I determined were general specialties! Ingo, despite his intimidating appearance and his fighting typing, is actually a better special attacker. I imagine that the twins play up the perception that other people have for them: Ingo is indimidating and Emmet is friendly, so Ingo is actually a sneaky special attacker and Emmet is a surprise physical attacker!

Their base stats reflect this, and I put their total around evolved starter range to make sure they're viable for competitive battling. As for typing, it was mostly based on various Pokemon they have on their teams, but I kinda wanted to make them partially types suited more to their counterpart, so Electric for Ingo and Steel(?) for Emmet? It's not perfect, but I HAD to make sure Ingo shared a typing with Lady Sneasler so they can be friends in Hisui. And Emmet is a Bug type because Emmet.

I agonized over their movesets and abilities for a long time, but I really wanted to show that they are a Duo, Please Do Not Seperate. So their moves and abilities help to cover each other in a double battle! Ingo has the absolute beast of a move Boomburst (both because he's loud and because it's a 140 base special attack with no downsides) so he's got Brick Break to make sure that there's no screens or shields blocking his big finishing move. Workup helps with all of his moves and since it boosts physical and special, it works to hide his little-known special attack specialty until it's too late.

I had fun with Emmet's moveset! Not only does he have Reflect to help cover his beloved brother's weaknesses, but in the case they're fighting a singles battle he's got U-Turn to effortlessly switch into his brother's big finisher move. I waffled between Reflect and another move that would reduce special defence (set up even better for Ingo's finishing move), but ultimately decided I liked Emmet shielding his big brother better.

I also want you to know that for his move Attack Order, Emmet literally commands a small battalion of Joltiks who like to hide in his coat. Verrry cute.

Of course, the codependency doesn't stop at their moves! Ingo's ability literally reduces the damage that Emmet takes when they battle together, and Emmet's Volt Absorb ability means that Ingo can always heal up his little brother if the Joltiks don't heal him first.

And now we get to the sad part. During their separation, both of them change, as now they no longer have each other to rely on in battle. Ingo changes out his Brick Break for an Aura Sphere, as when fighting solo (and sometimes multiple opponents) he doesn't have time for a lot of setup and is best on relying on his special attacking rather than trying to play the long game. His ability also changes to Defiant, to reflect his heightened need for fighting and his determination to find what he knows is missing (YES I know technically abilities can't really change but THEY'RE SPECIAL OK and it was sadder this way).

And oh boy, while Emmet can pretend he's fine as much as he wants, his changes truly show how much Ingo's loss devastated him. There's no-one left to switch with, so he trades his U-Turn for a more aggressive Lunge instead. And even worse, his new ability, Anger Point, will boost his attack once he hits half health. Which means that now he will try to get hurt and stay hurt, since now his brother can no longer heal him :(

Sorry for so much rambling, but I got suuuuper into designing these guys! The actual designs are alright, but I still think they need to be more distinctive somehow. Might go back and tweak it a bit later, but I'm happy with it for now. Why are they weird kangaroo things with hooves? Idk, but they look cool and that's what really matters~

Fanfic Recs! pt. 1

Hello hello! For yall that don't know me, I'm Billy or Sataara, either is fine, and I read a lot of submas fics so I decided to make a list of some recommendations that I have! A few things about me is that I can't deal with unhappy endings, heavy angst and/or any pairings where both brothers are with someone else (also no bl/nkship), so if you're looking for any of these types of fics, I'm sorry but you won't find it here :/

Hey again! So I know you likely have your own ideas about the present day in the Mask Maker Au, but I wanted to share some of my own.

You mentioned in the tags of the MM Kieran reference that he went missing during the festival and Carmine got really worried about it.

So My idea was that after Kieran went missing, Carmine and the player spend the rest of the Teal Mask trying to figure out what happened to him.

I also have 2 alternate ending ideas for MM Teal Mask as well as "post credit" scenes for them

The first ending is what I'm calling the "Forever Missing" ending, where the player and Carmine can't find him before Carmine has to return, but the Player insists that they will figure out what happened to Kieran.

The post credit scene has Kieran making a mask seemingly in the middle of nowhere, before someone off camera (Volo) calls out to him something on the lines of"Hey kid! We're packing up so you better come quick!" Kieran looks behind and says "Okay..." And the scene ends

The second ending is what I'm calling the "Lost and Found" ending, where Kieran manages to return to the present and consequently is found by the player and Carmine, but you and Carmine can tell something is different about Kieran.

The post credit scene has Kieran standing in his room completely silent, appearing to be contemplating something. Then breaking silence is the ringing of his phone, (or if he doesn't have a phone then it's broken by Carmine opening His door telling him that the call is for him) Kieran picks up and Kieran goes "Oh It's you!" (Volo that immortal 🍑) And the scene ends

For clarification for the phone thing I imagine that Kieran was like "if we end up meeting each other in my time here's my/my sister's number" cause of your first post with Volo and Kieran with the "Immortal 🍑 and his weird son" HC

The idea of Carmine having to return home without her little brother is honestly gut wrenching, and I wish I could've doodled out all my thoughts including ones for the "Lost and Found" ending, but I know how eager you were for me to answer this ask lol

Carmine would absolutely be crying her heart out in the flight home and the days after.

I feel like when she goes back to her regular schedule, Emmet would notice on the train— a this little girl he's used to seeing— a regular at the station, is suddenly looking very sad— broken in a way, and her little brother she used to travel everywhere with is no longer beside her...

He would pick up on it immediately and probably offer her help in any way he could.

They would confide in each other about their brothers going missing and have a genuine moment of bonding, grieving over what they had lost

They'd probably research together and try to find out what happened— and through this bonding experience, they would become close as siblings themselves

I can't help but imagine Volo would encourage Kieran to keep chasing that obsession over Ogerpon.

max having thoughts about lucy and how the fandom treated her. this also goes alongside with the way people treated rex

just generally it comes iffy to me how people downgrade lucy's character to her stereotype and don't understand that tlm is based around deconstructing said stereotypes and that people are much more complex than you think and trying to put them on a black or white perspective completely misses the point

and how they either don't recognize that her behaviours towards emmet weren't the best, or they do but completely take it only to the extreme

this also applies to rex's character although leaning more on the second one, since he is the antagonist per say

what troubles me the most i think is that i think that both rex and lucy are really good at deconstructing the stereotypes/main ideas they're based on and people demonizing or not focussing on it sucks ass.

like with lucy they genuinely do forget the implications of her genuinely being happy pre-wyldstyle until everything went down and how the guilt is eating her alive since something she created with so much love caused so much pain at the same time. like the reason as to why she's like that for almost all of the two movies is because the pain and guilt is still there with her and it fucking sucks. it gets worse on the second movie because she does genuinely think that they're on danger and meanwhile she genuinely wants to protect emmet, she also forgot that they're a team and that proper communication is the key. that's why her arc goes around growth and opening her heart again. she took the wyldstyle persona so she wouldn't be hurt again anymore, and possibly so people don't view her as weak.

so that's why her losing her hair dye means so much to her actually growing. she can't keep hiding herself any longer and she has to accept that hey, maybe, she has to be more versatile on her point of view. that things can still change. just like emmet said. she genuinely cares about her friends and didn't take the best decisions because of that but that is okay ultimately. she is not perfect but like that's the thing. she doesn't have to be. the second movie allowed her to grow and to heal.

which is also a parallel with rex.

but we do know already that people constantly treat rex as a monster just for having terrible mental health and shitty copying mechanisms when like. depression does that to you. being isolated does that to you. thinking that your friends left you behind does that to you. and like that is super messed up actually. people more than often don't get that the reasons as to why rex got to that extreme was because he genuinely didn't want emmet to be hurt the same way he was on the past. he cares about emmet. he is so hurt by seeing lucy but he doesn't hate her. he is a mess of emotions and thoughts and the way people demonized his struggles with mental health is genuinely fucked up.

because. yeah. rex DID shitty stuff. but he had very fair reasons. he was badly hurt and left behind. he thought that his friends left him just like that. he thought that they never cared. hell, his whole persona is an copying mechanism because he didn't want to be hurt again.

he was emmet once. and people forget that always. he is not abusive nor is he a terrible person nor is he completely innocent he's hurt and tired and angry and sad and misses his friends. and lucy isn't cold hearted or uncaring or one dimensional,hell, even if we go by the hints of her band, you can even argue that she's going through survivor's guilt.

what i'm saying is that the tlm fandom doesn't understand that mental health can be awful and shitty and that it won't get better unless said people who are going through it have a support system or are trying themselves and that struggling and making bad decisions, especially with good intentions, doesn't make you a bad person.

hell the whole theme of the movie is about CHANGE and GROWTH. rex and lucy ALSO had those. but anyway what do i know i barely remember anything of the movies as of now but as someone who kind of is going through the same thing. having a character portrayed as abusive for having terrible mental health and making bad choices that DID HAVE GOOD INTENTIONS MIND YOU is terrible and i genuinely hope people get that at one point. like hell rex didn't even. fucking want to hurt emmet. sure he lied but that's because he thought it was for the best. same goes for lucy.

If the Streamer ever entered a relationship with Ingo, and it got serious enough that they married I could just picture all of the emotions that the wedding stream could cause. On the flip side the wedding stream would be a goldmine for historians. With the wedding stream they can see what Pearl Clan traditions are involved with a marriage. How do people in the Pearl Clan propose? What are Pearl Clan wedding ceremonies like? How do they compare to the typical weddings that are held in Sinnoh now? If a lot of Pearl Clan history and traditions was lost over the years the wedding stream would be something priceless for Hisuian historians. On a separate note the streamer being married to Ingo would mean Ingo would pop up a lot more in streams I imagine. Makes things easier and a bit more stressful. Nicer because everyone in Unova gets to see their missing Subway Boss more often. More stressful for Emmet cause now he has to worry over his in-law's safety every time they duke it out with an enraged Noble. Or an Alpha Pokémon. Or Giratina. On the slightly comical side if/when Ingo and the Streamer ever get back I imagine Ingo's reaction to the fact that the video of his wedding is now considered a Sinnoh historical treasure would be rather priceless.

Oh the angst. It would be so bittersweet for everyone involved

I imagine it’s not just with Ingo and Emmet. What about the Hero’s family back home? Your mother is in tears, unable to see her child get married like she had hoped and dreamed. No mother-child dance either.

Or your friends! Barry is in tears he can’t be your best man, or just see you in person on the day of to support you.

Cynthia is also a bit disappointed. She would have loved to have been there for your big day, having grown close to you before you disappear. She’s happy for you, but she certainly wishes she could be there with you.

They are all grateful if you stream the wedding, but oh, its such a bittersweet feeling.

Though it probably wouldn’t be too hard to get an official marriage done in modern times! When you and Ingo return, no doubt it will be hard to officiate a marriage that happened a few centuries back.

Really loving your old man Emmet design!

There is a lot of sadness hidden behind his eyes. And his smile got much smaller. (I'm also wondering if, much like Ingo in Hisui with his smile Emmet also has his brief moments of frowning).

I admire his strength to not let his grief consume him. He had his moment of doubt, but he had someone setting him back on track again. He is a strong and kind guy and I'm very sure during his travels he's also doing a lot of good things as well as enjoying battles with strong trainers. He's living his life the fullest he can. (I'm sure he's also visiting a lot of Trains and Stations across the different reasons wishing to show them to Ingo but still very much enjoying them/ I also believe he's still in contact with Elesa and keeps her updated on his journey) apologies for my ramble, just wondering about things

I don't know where you're going with this and if you plan to have old man Emmet eventually reuniting with old man Ingo but I know I enjoy your content either way.

And your ask and theories are spot on! In his travels, Emmet is meeting new challengers, seeing new sights, learning from trainers of all ages, experiencing the world! And at the end of the day, Emmet still returns to nimbasa, always nimbasa, during his travels across the regions. Even after retiring, he’s still well loved and is welcomed back with open arms and challenges from those who want to battle the retired subway boss ^^

The main focus of this au is to show that, even though ingo’s disappearance is a weight in emmets mind, he is still trying to continue on and live his life!

Both have moved on in their own ways, making sure that what they’re missing, that their grief, isn’t consuming them. They’re growing, changing, even apart. And when they finally reunite, even if they’ve both changed, they’ll be in the right mindset to finally reconnect their two car train

I was thinking about @hoofpeet​‘s latest stuff on Emmutt, as I do when my hands are busy and my mind is wandering.  And I just thought like

What would Emmet’s interactions with Emmutt be like once they return?  Would he be blasé like Ingo?  Would he be angry like Zingo and Chandelure? 

And I feel he is savvy enough with all sorts of pokemon that once he has the real deal Ingo, he can forgive a lot of the bad behavior.  It tips over into the “here’s my horrible pet isn’t he funny” like Ingo does.

However!  I also thought that like, Emmet had a tough time while Ingo was gone.  He struggled a lot, kept going, and got his bro back in the end.  So he’s doing much better now!  Still, that doesn’t mean there aren’t bad days.  Days where the feelings of loss still spring up.

Emmutt has been trying to get back under Emmet’s skin whenever he can, but the brothers are just too alike in how they treat him.  When he notices Emmet looking run-down and sad (and probably sleep deprived, because that’s never good for one’s mental health), he sees an opportunity.  And he digs in deep, almost as bad as that first encounter, hoping to get a good reaction out of Emmet.

(They don’t realize Ingo and Zingo are nearby, the former bristling at the bad behavior, and the latter smug that Emmutt’s about to get a scolding.)

And Emmet just sort of laughs a little, and is like, “You can’t hurt me worse than Zingo did (by accident) when we first met.”  Then he wanders off to find Elesa to sleep on bc that’s what he does to feel better when he’s moody over Ingo’s disappearance.

It’s an instant triple K.O.

Emmutt is insulted to immovability at the implication that Zingo is better at being a hellion than he is.  Zingo is devastated because she didn’t mean to hurt Emmet, she really didn’t!  (He knows this and wouldn’t have said so to her face, at least not anymore.)  And Ingo is shot with the misplaced guilt over his absence hurting Emmet so much.

(Part of this was also because initially Zingo was supposed to torment Emmet, until she turned into the best pupper who tries very hard.  Still, even if it wasn’t intentional, Emmet had so many Issues because of her.)

*hand waves*  Hoofpeet does such angsty things with a touch of humor.  It’s hard to put it in writing, but it’s not meant to be bad, just a miscommunication of errors.

Emmet

- he’s a little sad you can’t join him in the day time, and so he messes up his sleep schedule a lot just to spent extra time with you! Emmet is very clingy, even in his slumber where he clings to you like you’re his teddy bear.

- Though he jumps up and mutely squeals when you surprise him at work! Sure you maybe carrying an umbrella to hide from the sun, but you risked it just to see him!!! He’s dragging you to his office, closing the curtains, and smothering you with kisses!

- If he works overtime, you usually come to walk home with him, since the sun has gone down, you don’t mind tagging along. He of course, holds your hand and tells you briefly about his day, before kissing your cheek over, and over, and over again.

- Emmet knows he needs to get up early if he wants to get anything done before work, but he gets so comfy next to you, cuddling you, and you look so peaceful sleeping. Until he’s alarm goes off once, then twice, then three times, and you’re nearly hissing at him to go to work so you can actually sleep the daylight away. Cue fake monotoned offended gasp and him slowly falling out of bed because you don’t love him, it gets you to laugh and it earns him a light kiss before he leaves for work.

- He doesn’t mind letting you drink from him, in fact he likes it! You always make sure he’s okay with it, make him cozy, turn on a fun few hour long video for some background noise, and gently bite him, slowly feeding from him. Emmet always finds these moments close and pleasant, how it feels almost intimate when you two are snuggled up, and feels like you’re kissing him. It’s nice!

- You don’t drink from him very long, only enough to satisfy you and for him to feel slightly light headed. He’s always so giggly afterwards, and loves to kiss you, or nuzzle against you.

- Absolutely makes dumb vampire jokes, or the classic ‘I’ve come to suck your blood.’ While having the worlds fakest accent, he’s a little shit and loves the deadpanned expression you give him, or the pained smile, cause he knows he’s about to get it back.

Ingo

- Ingo is very attentive, and always has your feeding days scheduled on his calendar, notes, and reminders just so he won’t forget. He knows you get your blood from ethical sources, and you can’t always drink from him, as his blood needs time to replenish, but he always keeps them scheduled.

- When you feed from him it’s romantic, candles lighting the room after a nice meal, soft music playing in the background as you pull him to your lap. Kissing him, before slowly kissing down his neck and making a small bite to lick from. Your comforting hold on him makes him feel secure and loved, it’s easily one of his favorite things.

- He never expects or hopes you visit him at work, as much as it would be cute, he stresses over you even getting the smallest amount of sun touching your skin. He doesn’t want you to burn.

- However, he does get shocked when you do, only for him to realize he’s stayed way passed hours, and you’ve come to retrieve him. He tries to apologize, but you just ask to have your beloved back home, and it usually ends with you two walking home, enjoying the cool air of the night.

- Ingo has a hard time ruining his sleep schedule, even when he works late he’ll still wake up at the same time, so you take whatever time you can get with him. As a result, when it’s his day off, he waits until the sun goes down and takes you on a lovely date around town, or even a picnic! He loves just being able to treat you and pamper you.

- Sometimes, if you two are watching a movie with vampires in it, he will ask you questions and wants to know the history, or even if just what they are saying is accurate or not. He gets so excited, if vampire history will be something he’s extremely passionate and knowledgeable in, as it’s a way for him to be closer to you.

- Ingo is very sweet and loving, but honestly he can be a pain for a vampire. He wakes up with the sun for work, makes coffee, a light breakfast, showers, gets dressed, then leaves after kissing your forehead, all of this would be fine, if you had not just started dozing off when his alarm went off. Of course you know you can’t do anything about that, but it just gets mildly annoying every work day. He tries so hard to be quiet, but he fails every time and then tries to whisper an apology, but he doesn’t even know how to whisper. But he does make up for it on his days off.

Warden Ingo

- Meeting you was an experience he could never forget, it felt too familiar, and just felt right. So he stuck beside you, even if you couldn’t join him in the day, it was so secret you’d join him at night. The other wardens and clan leaders know you, and have met you, even if they do question why you are never seen when the sun is out.

- Warden Ingo is quite protective of you, and refuses to tell anyone your secret, you trusted him to know, and he refuses to break your trust! He doesn’t want to be alone again. But he adores when you join him on late night walks around the highlands when he’s doing the last of his patrol, or when he can’t sleep.

- Unlike the other two, he can’t get enough of you feeding from him, and you often have to put your foot down and tell him you’re done. You don’t want to risk drinking him dry, but he looks so hurt when you do, even if he understands and always apologizes afterwards. It’s just when you hold him so lovingly, keeping him close and comfort, with your lips pressing firmly against his wrist or neck, before tenderly biting and sucking on the wound. It makes his mind go into overdrive, like he’s been here before, but it’s too blurry and too many things are being thought of at once! If you just keep going he might remember more!

- You’re not mad at him for this, understanding that he just wants to remember who he use to be. You always whisper your love for him afterwards, letting him rest and sleep against you as he grows tired.

- As stated most villagers only see you at night, and occasionally see you and Ingo on dates at these times too! You’re well liked to those you have met, even Akari and Rei have somewhat adopted you as one of their guardians, since Ingo is like their uncle. They are stunned at the strength and speed you hold, it’s stuff of legends! And they can’t help but blabber away about how cool you are. Though it does make some people suspicious of you.

- Warden Ingo defends your honor and your name with a stern voice, once that shakes even Melli to the bone with how fiercely he protects your name.

- But most of all, the Warden loves coming back to his yurt to you, looking like you hadn’t been awake very long, making dinner for him. His heart melting at that soft ‘welcome home.’ You give him with a yawn, your fangs peeking from your lips.

- His memories will come back when they wish to, for now he will enjoy his moments with his beloved.

- Much like his Unovan counterpart, he wakes up with the sun, but unlike him, Warden Ingo actually knows up to get up from your shared bed without making a sound. The only way you know he’s gone is when you slowly start to wake up from the warmth slowly fading from his spot. He’s just about to put his shoes on when you let out a muffled “Ingo?” And like that he’s rushing back to you, apologizing for waking you, but kissing you on your forehead, cheek, and lips if you’re awake enough, before promising he’ll be back shortly after making his rounds.
