Happy to report I have finally started listening to Malevolent and to no one's surprise I am already obsessed (I'm almost done with s2 atm please don't send me spoilers yet sdlkfj)

I've been seeing some posts circulating recently and I finally feel like I can say that this is the Exact Emotion I feel when I see the Genre Of (typically slimmer or 'skinnyfat') feedists that are a lil Too into calling themselves Disgustingly Fat and going on and on about how they've Ruined Their Body and they're not even 200lbs, lack an understanding of how fat people actually Are (namely mobility things come to mind), know nothing about fat politics, and lean a little too heavily into the fatphobia play, especially when that same Genre of feedists start giving Actual Fat People grief about being "too big to be worth feeding" like loving fat people and fatness isn't one of the Core Feedism Principles

I always see a lot of buddie truthers with two sides to how they want buddie to get together in canon.

Slow realization and soft oh moment

Passion ignited after a tragedy/terrifying close call

I have a 3rd secret option I really want to see which is just... excitement?

They're both single (this is v important guys.)

Eddie's in action, doing something really cool, really dangerous, and really fun (like scaling a skyscraper... 👀) and he pulls Buck into his scheme because it might not need to be a two-person job, but it's them and they go together.

It's the elevator scene from 2x3 but years later, and the parallels are obvious and important.

They hatch a plan together, with barely any outward communication, just inherently knowing what the other's next move is going to be. I want them just living for the adrenaline rush of propelling down eight stories attached to each other and each other alone. I want them so close to danger so quickly that neither really comprehends how close they were to losing it all. (It's just typical at this point.)

I want them to topple onto the ground together in almost hysterical laughter, checking each other for injury even though they're both fine. I want them to realize that life could be like this for the rest of their lives. They don't have to keep searching for something when it's right in front of them.

Then they kiss like it's second nature, through wide lips and bared teeth and gear that makes it impossible for them to do more than just press their lips together over and over like they've done this a thousand times before.

Knowing that they might have constant close calls like this one that might result in much worse than a tear in their turnouts, but they have each other, so what does it really matter?

They're just. Happy. Happy despite everything they've gone through, despite every moment they suffered to get to this exact moment--grinning in a close-to-collapsing building, trusting each other implicitly, and fearing only the distant possibility they might never have gotten here.

I want them to realize that they pieces of themselves they've been looking for their entire adult lives have been right in front of them since the very beginning. I just think they deserve that.

Sampo & Caelus are so important to me, I love them. To me they are bros. Buddies. Partners in mischief making and chaos. Caelus is a total weirdo and Sampo is always getting Up To Something, and they both hate being bored or stagnating, so they regard each other as an endless source of entertainment and amusement.

They're the kind of friends that just kind of see each other when they see each other, and when they do cross paths they greet with that funny hands-clasped-between-them-and-one-armed-hug thing that guys do. Then they go to a bar, annoy the local population, kick up a ruckus or cause some kind of mischief somewhere, and go stumble into a hotel room to sleep it off.

They did this a few times in Belobog, and Gepard once found them on a morning patrol passed out in a gutter together. Sampo was sacked out with a newspaper over his face. Caelus was sprawled out next to/on top of him in the most awkward and uncomfortable position a human body could possibly contort into. Both refused to explain anything zkzkkskd

Blue that is just a couple shades darker than what is covering their skin consumes Eddie’s vision, blinking down at him with a hazy heat and shimmering like watery sunlight pouring through glass that’s been stained blue. “Okay,” Buck says gently, coming forward to kiss Eddie’s lips, his cheeks, the underside of his chin, and then right above the mark he made. Buck braces a hand on the ground and spreads his knees further apart so he can lean back and then he pushes Eddie’s shirt up until it’s bunched around his collarbones. A wicked grin stretches across Buck’s lips, wild and untamed and broad, digging into his cheeks in a way that shouldn’t be cute but is, and it stays in place as he bows his back and leans down to bite at Eddie’s side right over his ribs. Eddie gasps, a shiver tearing through him that’s as hot as his blood and as slick as the paint coating the length of his back. The curve of Buck’s smile over one of the most sensitive places on Eddie’s body is almost unbearably intimate and Eddie can do nothing but clutch at Buck’s shoulders as he continues his assault, licking over Eddie’s skin and biting him hard enough that it’s just on the edge of too painful. “I love you right here,” Buck says quietly, lustfully, reverently. “I love this part of you.” A whining laugh bursts out of Eddie. “It’s just my side, baby.” He glances down to see Buck shake his head, his curls jostling slightly with the movement. “No. No, it’s beautiful.” Buck looks up at him from beneath his eyelashes, a dangerously coy expression splattered across his face, more stark and bright than the paint on their skin. “This slope right here,” Buck continues, dragging the tip of his tongue between two of Eddie’s ribs. “The indent of your muscle stretching over your bones. The way it’s so sensitive. The fact that I can feel your pulse so bright and strong against my hands or mouth. Almost like your heart is trying to break out and bleed all over me.”
