Breathe, unwind,
Let go, take in,
Be free, keep hold,
Scream, cry,
Speak out, be heard,
Stand up, stand tall
Be brave, be bold,
Stay true, be you...

I depend on Bravery.
" You depend on your Bravery more than anything. Compassion is offered to you through nature and animals, look for that."
Purge all the poisons.
It is action, not words, that has always set me free.
I am unknown, to myself, to you, and I am an adventurer. I am a listener, a seeker. I eat some prayers for breakfast, and I sip on a warm cup of ideas. I act on impulse (I am careful, but I do not hesitate). Miraculously, that seems to open doors- doors to my life.

Foodie Kate ❤ Cautious Wills
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Notice how Catherine covers for her brother-in-law during this interview.
Also:
Favorite take out food:
For Kate: "Curry." [to wills] "You do struggle with the spice."
William: "Yeah, I'm not so good with the spicy food though."
"If there was a fight bw you & Harry who would win?"
William: "Well that's clearly obvious. Me." Why? "Cause I'm bigger."
youtube
"William didn't feel like he could do much to help...it's hard for the people around you to see you suffering"
"For me, I had all the memories of being in hospital & being sick. It wasn't the sort of place where I wanted to hang out & hang around so I was really desperate to get back to normality"
youtube
A memory from a cheeky Newlywed Prince William: "People ask me why I've lost weight... Kate's cooking."

Brave Girl still exists!
I wrote a cringey 32 chapter Aomine Daiki x OC fanfic called “Brave Girl” back in 2016, and was so embarrassed by it that I deleted it a few years back.
I regretted it because even though it was badly written and cringe (and full of smut), I remembered I had a good time writing it.
I even had a reader asking me where the fic was as they could no longer find it.
Well, someone found my lost and deleted fic and I now have a copy!
I might post up on AO3, just so it’s available in the archive, but my friends are encouraging me to do a rewrite. We shall see lol.

Book 22: Brave Girl
Dewey was 331 Labor Economics so I chose Brave Girl: Clara and the Shirtwaist Makers' Strike of 1909 by Michelle Markel.
This is a kids book about labor leader Clara Lemlich spearheading a strike when she was in her early 20s after joining New York's garment workers as a teen.
As you may know, or guess, conditions for young women in the garment industry at the turn of the 20th century were pretty terrible. Clara experiences these as a Russian immigrant trying to help her family survive. She teaches herself to read in her off hours, though, and never gives up even when police beat her for striking and trying to unionize. Eventually the strike is successful and it shows that you too can make a difference like Clara did.
If "shirtwaist" sounds familiar to you, you're probably familiar with the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire from a year and a half later, that particular company not being one of the ones that capitulated to the strike. If you're not familiar, basically 150 garment workers were locked in a building that caught fire and they all died. it was horrible and exemplified why people like Clara Lemlich were needed.
SHOULD YOU READ THIS BOOK : I'd recommend it for children as an introduction to labor rights of the 20th century. It's not super informative as much as inspirational, though there is some additional information after that is good.
ART PROJECT:
Clara Lemlich was originally from Horodok, now Ukraine, but her family left because of a pogrom. I decided to honor her homeland, and although the ruling country of the area at the time was the one now run by a certain Shirtless McJerkoff, I thought the spirit she embodies really reflects Ukraine now. So, thank you, Ukraine, for giving us a woman who changed American history for the better. I hope we can help as much in your times of troubles.

not knowing is the most intimate
( a memory briefly surfaces- I was scolded for not knowing. but that's more true and pleasant that being a know-it-all )
which I am not, despite what my mother thinks. I don't care what people, who choose to misunderstand me, think about me. I also have compassion for their perspective, because I can see why they thought that- but it is wrong. if they got to actually know their daughter and actually got curious, they would know the truth.
this is a chance to "start over" again. and now that I'm free from those sociopathic situations, I can continue on my course. Thank you.
" My longing for closeness borders on the transgressive. And I am disabled by society's expectation that I do absolutely everything on my own ". BECAUSE WE AREN'T MEANT TO BE THIS WAY, TO LIVE THIS WAY. INDIVIDUALISM IS PARTLY A LIE. ESPECIALLY HYPER INDIVIDUALITY.
when other people can't seem to handle you - and remember too, Ask Polly reminds us that other people's limits don't meant that you're too free - remember this, too:
" there person is saying, your joy scares me, your energy scares me, your openness scares me. Many of these people are not bad people, they just haven't met themselves deeply yet, and are still very armored, boxed up ... they're just not a match to us "
and finally, for this entry, last words from Zarina:
" I think I went into such deep darkness and have known such deep pain that now I'm left entirely on my own ... to know myself. I don't think God is guiding me anymore. No one is. I'm staring into the abyss and all I have to hold onto is my own heart " <3 <3 <3
SO FUCKING BEAUTIFUL AND TRUE.
