The cast album for Between the Lines recently came out and I was itching to make some art for it! Practice makes perfect and I’m doing my best to try new things and grow as an artist.

Between the Lines is a new musical based on the book of the same name and stars Arielle Jacobs as Delilah, the main character. I’m such a fan of hers and she’s beautiful in the recording! You should check it out! I think it’s a loving adaptation of the book which I also really enjoyed.

Now that I’ve resurfaced, I also want to say, if any of you live in the New York area and have the ability to see the new off-Broadway show Between the Lines, it is a total must-see!!!

If you follow me because you’re into JATP and/or the same musicals that I’m into, you will love this show! If you’ve ever wanted to live in a fictional world, you will love this show. If you like stories where women are at the center, you will love this show. If you enjoyed the book the musical is based on, “Between the Lines” by Jodi Picoult and Samantha Van Leer, you will love this show.

It’s sweet and romantic and enchanting in the most wholesome, captivating way, but it also does an amazing job of touching on important topics and being the kind of show I think we could all use today. I think a lot of us can find ourselves in it.

The songs are clever, beautiful, and catchy. The cast is outstanding. The costumes are gorgeous. The projections and the way they depict the storybook are incredible. And the show has good representation, too!

They seem to be doing pretty well, but they talk after the curtain call about how spreading the word can help give the show a future beyond this off-Broadway run closing in October, so this is me spreading the word, and hopefully some of you will have the chance to see this phenomenal show!
